Now back to the story.

We lied there for a bit, embracing each other. When we finally got up I said, "Alright I'll get us some food." "I'm coming with!" She responded enthusiastically. With that we headed into the forest. "Once we eat we can go on that flight together." I said as I sniffed the air. "Fruit, more specifically some ripe juicy apples." I said, catching their scent. The juicier they are the better they taste. I thought. "Most of the time I'm glad we're omnivores." I continued. She replied with an "mhm" as we went to the apple tree I had sniffed out and proceeded to eat a few of the apples. "Now, for that flight." I said stretching out my wings after we've had our fill. She opened her wings preparing to take off, as soon as we were ready we took off at the same time, we flew straight up and before we knew it we were in the sky.

I flew in a random direction, with her flying close behind me, I looked back at her as she looked at me, smiling, I smiled back. I liked the warmth of the sun on my back and the wind rushing through my furr, I never thought I'd be able to enjoy being by--much less with--someone. I faced forward and did some small tricks, like a barrel role, a minature loopdeloop, etc. not to impress, but because I could, that and I needed to use my wings a little more than I have been, stretch them out. "Tryin' to compensate for something?" She asked with a giggle. "No, just stretching my wings a little." I replied. "Alright." She replied. We shortly stopped by an ocean lining and lied against each other in the warm sand. "Thank you." I said. "For what?" She asked. "Everything." I answered. I watched as the waves moved, listening to the soothing sound of the waves and enjoying the cool gentle breeze, enjoyingbeingin her company.

We lied there for a few hours. "C'mon let's head back." I said, getting up, having decided it's been long enough,  "Alright." She said as she got up and stretched. On our flight back, halfway there, we were able to see the night sky, "Such beauty!" I exclaimed. "Yeah..." she said softly. "But nothing compared to you." I said, recieving a smile and a small blush from her in response. After a bit more flying, we soon landed on the ground of our homeplace and everyone was asleep, or so we thought. Just as we lied down that Mal lunged at me I jumped back in reflex and scratched him accross the face thanks to self defense instincts. "So you crave death that badly do you?" I asked, my eyes turning demonic again. I tackled him and scratched his legs, and scratched him deep across his sides, causing him to scream in pain as he gushed out blood, "AGH! IT BURNS!!" He exclaimed writhing in pain as he bled out. The others waking up as a result. "Hey, that's enough Kai! He's had enough!" Snow exclaimed, pulling my paw away before I could attack again.

I spun around and stabbed her shoulder with my other paw, forcing her let go on reflex, then I hesitated for a moment before, one of the others joined in by ramming me, I stabbed his stomach and slashed his back, soon the others joined in, either ramming me, trying to restrain me, or both, thusly keeping me trapped in this state. I would scratch at all of them, each one nearly collapsing in pain from how bad it'd. When I saw what I had done, and saw her on the ground bleeding, I snapped out of it and covered my muzzle before I ran off towards the deepest, densest part of the woods that was almost like a maze of trees as I started to cry. I ran and ran and ran, I felt pain, both mentally, and physically. I slowed down when I was really far away.

I was scared because of how dark it was and the fact that there were trees all around me, lots of them. I was angry, that spirit didn't appear to me this time, I was cold, scared, and upset. "This is why I wanted to be alone." I said to myself, "There's the tree the older ones that passed on long ago found me in when I was still a child, I miss them... they were like parents to me, I miss both them and my real parents..." I said to myself reminiscing, remembering that fateful rainy day as if it just happened. "they knew of what happened to me with the forest, my home that I accidentally burned down, along with my family and friends, however, the ones that found me shouldn't have given me a home, for they lost one of their own because of me, because of that spirit." I said to myself. I fealt even more sadness and a little bit of self-aggression.

I continued to walk, making all kinds of twists and turns, intentinally looping all over the place. There, now they can't find me by scent. I thought. I ensured that none could follow me, I ensured that I had gotten lost with no way of ever getting out. I had trapped myself.
