page 18: The Journey Begins
"What guilt?" I questioned, "the only one who should be feeling guilt is you, you were the one that forced me to do that." I said. "yet you made the deal did you not?" He asked. "Here we go again." I said. "Their deaths were all entirely on you, you started the fire that killed everyone you knew as a child, that killed your parents. You were the one that killed that Scar." He said. "FOR THE LAST TIME YOU FORCED ME! YOU AND YOUR LITTLE CONTROL SPELLS!" I yelled at him, "I am tired of you trying to make me kill others, thankfully there's a saying I've lived by ever since you first controlled me, 'you are only as evil as you allow yourself to be.' I will not allow myself to fall into darkness for your sick and twisted amusement." I told him.
"Silly fool, you don't have a choice, you made that deal with me, so you're stuck with me till the day you die." He said. "Uh what's he talking about?" Snow asked. "I made a deal with him before I didn't realize he was a dark spirit at the time and when he said 'for a part of my mind.' I didn't think he was being literal, I thought he wanted something else." I said. "What exactly did you trade for?" She asked. "It was to help me defend myself without using fire if Scar were to attack me again." I replied, "it's how I learned to use ice." I still couldn't accept the fact that I killed someone even though it was years ago, even though I was forced to do it. I saw her reaction, that look in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I'll just..." I said and ran away. I ended up in an area I haven't seen before, runes everywhere, multiple sounds of whisper was heard all around me, collecting to form two words in my head: 'Destiny Teller' "the hell is that?" I asked myself. "It's ancient knowledge, only passed down through a specific line, mine, the Destiny teller, also known among our people as just Destiny is a being our ancestors would turn to for knowledge about the world, including this part of it, some would even warship him, those ones eventually became outcasts, however this had caused knowledge of him/her to be lost among all but my own heritage." Skai explained, "and something tells me he/she still exists.
In the world in between, a place thought to have distortions, thought to be part of the mind, or collection of all the minds in the world, I am unsure as to whether one of or both of those last two are true, and that's all I know about him/her." I was intrigued. "C'mon let's go get Snow." She suggested. "After what I told them, she probably doesn't like me anymore." I said sadly. "And with this darkness in me, no one is safe, I'm forced to go on my own until the day I die, permanently." I said. "You can try, but I won't let you." Someone said, I looked around and didn't see anyone other than Skai, I was suddenly tackled. "Camouflage is a useful ability." Snow giggled, becoming visible again.
"This again? Some things never change." I chuckled. "I'll never understand how such a slender thing can have so much physical strength." I said. "Meh, I'm just glad I am able to overpower you." She chuckled. "Yeah to make me submit to your wants." I laughed. "Now if you two lovebirds are done, we should get going. We've a world to better understand." Skai said. Snow got off me. "Welp, let's get going." Snow said. "Alright fine." I said getting up and shaking the dust out of my fur. "Lets go."
