YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I lied down and went to sleep, morning came much too soon for my likings. Scar came over to me, you still aren't gone, well why don't I teach you another lesson?" He asked. "Let's take this elsewhere." I said. "Fine by me." He replied, we went to a secluded area. "Hey my friend, you ready to watch me kick his ass?" I asked. "With pleasure." The demon appeared beside me and Scar looked scared. "Thanks for that piece of your mind Kai." The dark being said and took full control, or rather, influence. "I think a hierarchy lesson is in order, what was it again, strongest on top, weakest on bottom... oh wait, it was strongest on top, outsiders on very bottom according to you.

Time to give you a reality check, all I have to say now is... goodbye." I said and pinned him against a tree with icicles. "What the?!" He exclaimed. "You have no clue who I am or what hell I've been through. I think I should show you." I said and burst into flames, my entire body was on fire, even my undersides. "You should never mess with fire, if you do you'll get burned." I said. I ran my flaming paw down his neck to the center of his stomach burning him with one of the highest degree burns there is, he screamed in agony. "Your screams won't be heard." I said, "Now that you understand my suffering, I think it's time to end you.

I snapped and the icicles dissapeared, making him fall to the ground. I speared him on an ice spike, right through the chest, ripping his heart out, he was down on the spike bleeding out a lot, his heart could be seen near the tip of the spike. I snapped out of it. "Oh no! Nonono what have I done. I felt like I was going to puke. I swallowed it down before I did. I drank some eater from a nearby lake to keep it down. I gave him a proper burial. I waited a few and then returned to camp. "Ah, there he is." The instructor said. My ears were laid back, my head was down. "Where's Scar?" She asked. I looked away. "Where is Scar?" She repeated.

"He's gone, he fell into a pithole." I lied, "he attacked me, I defended myself, we fought for a bit and I accidentally knocked him into one. Once again someone died because of me." "Once again?" She questioned. I went over to her and whispered to her, told her how the fire started and not to tell anyone of my abilities. "Oh, oh no." She replied. I went back over to the person from before. I'm going to learn how to fly and then I'm gone from this place. I thought. The instructor lead us to the cliff. "Now remember if there is a lot of wind resistance keep your body completely straight and your wings spread straight out but also level with your body that goes for gliding, but flying has an extra thing we'll get to later on." She said.

I looked off the edge and gulped. "At least there's a lake down there if we fall." I said, my voice shaky. I heard a few chuckles and giggles. I went towards the back of the group. We all took turns. One after another, as I waited I was uttering "in, out, in, out." As I slightly moved my wings out then back in. "It'll be fine, don't worry, and as you said, there's water down there so if you fall you'll be fine." The person from before said. "Sorry, who are you again?" I asked. "Snow, and you are?" She asked. "Kai." I said. "Okay Kai, there is no need to be nervous." She told me. "I'm more less scared than nervous but okay." I said. "C'mon Snow, you're next."

The instructor said, landing back on the cliff edge, remember, wings out, jump and flap once to become airborne, or you can just flap a couple times really hard to push a lot of air under you, helping to push you up. The instructor demonstrated and Snow followed, they glided down to the edge of the lake. Then the instructor flew back up here. I was nervous, almost too nervous, I was trying so hard to steady my breathing. "C'mon." The instructor said, my paws were pretty much attached to the ground at this point. "I-I'm too scared." I said. "C'mon, it's fine, I'll catch you if something goes wrong all right?" She asked. "Okay, alright, I trust you." I said, calming down, I did as she instructed and demonstrated.

I did it, well it was more of a rough landing but other than that I did it. "Good, just try not to force the landing so quickly, just let it happen." She said. "Okay." I replied, now shaking. Later that day I was told that there was an event that happens every once a year within the camp at night. The children usually goes off near this huge lake, bigger than the one by the cliff, one of them invited me to join them.

That night.

"So what's the cursed forest?" I asked.
