I was shocked. "Yeah and dragons can't fly." I said sarcastically. "I'm not kidding." He said with a serious but proud look on his face, one that couldn't be faked. "Oh... surely there's something wrong with me, there's no way I could possibly have any abilities that are of value." I said. "But you do, you are special son. You just need to believe it, believe in yourself, just like your mother and I believe in you." He said. "Yeah, also I have fire abilities, I knew the fact that I discovered my abilities early was a sign of specialty, I just didn't want to be special like this, with great power comes great cost." I said.

"I just don't want to see the day something happens to you, or the others, all of you, our home, or all of the above because of it." I said. "Can I see this fire ability?" He asked. "Yeah, only a small portion, we are in a forest after all." I said, I put up my paw and formed a small fireball. I crushed it in my paw, littering sparks too small to cause fire onto the ground. I was making sure the sparks weren't big enough or grouped enough to cause fire. "Interesting." He said, all I could see in his eyes were pride and amazement, I liked it. Little did I know that was going to be one of the last few times I was going to see his face.

A few days later.

"Stop trying to get me training! I don't want to learn to use my powers what part of that do you not understand?! This is the 6th day in a row that you tried to get me into training and told them I was going to be there no matter how many times I said I don't want it!" I yelled. "Look hun, your father and I are just looking out for your best interest." She said, I got even more angry. "My best interest my a**! You're just looking for reasons to be proud of me, you're just looking for that feeling of pride, stop pretending you care because we all know you don't. I HATE YOU AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR CARELESS FACES AGAIN!!" I yelled out of anger, not truly meaning it.

I ran deeper into the woods and leaned against a tree, tossing a fireball up a little bit and catching it as it came back down.
