Chapter 9
Yep. A frozen heart will do that to you.
All that I could think about as I trudged on, trying to find Elsa or Jamie, was that I was such an idiot. And I had no one to blame for my stupidity but myself.
(What is that, the 50th time I've said that?)
So anyways, as I was freezing from the inside out, walking slowly seemed to get harder and harder. I had lost feeling in the lower half of my body a long time ago, and my legs were getting harder and herder to move. I kept on shivering, rubbing my arms against my body trying to get warm. I felt really bad...
And when I say REALLY bad, I mean REALLY bad.

I don't really know how long it was before I found Jaime, but I did.
He was simply lying on the ground, breathing heavily. With the last bit of my strength, I ran to him, falling down on my knees and shaking his arms.
"J-Jamie?" I asked. He didn't move, or answer. "J-Jamie, come o-on! Th-this isn't funny..."
He gave a tiny whimper. "J-Jack?"
I smiled. "I'm r-right here."
"Why is it so cold?"
"E-Elsa sent o-out a-"
"Elsa is here?" Jaime raised his head. "Jack, you need to find her and tell her about the riddle! If you don't, you'll have both a frozen heart and no powers!"
"I-I can't leave y-you here!"
"You have to."
Unfortunately, Jaime was right. If I didn't go, I'd have a frozen heart and no powers. But if I just left him here, Pitch could turn up and suddenly get Jamie. I couldn't leave him there.
I made my decision.
I took Jamie by his arm and started to pull him up. "What are you doing?" He asked, though he got up with me.
I smiled at him. "I'd give up my powers any day to make sure that you were safe."
Wow, I didn't stutter that time.
Eh. Miracles can happen.
"But you'll freeze to ice! Have you not seen Frozen?"
"Eh, I-I'd do that t-too."
Jamie smiled to me. "Well, you still have some time! I think...so let's go and find Elsa!"
"You'll never find her."
Both me and Jamie turned around quickly to see Pitch. "You know, Pitch, I'm really starting to hate your entrances."
"And do I care? No." Pitch smiled. "But it's too late, Overland. You've lost!" Pitch waved his hand at me, sending some black sand at me forcing me to fall back, leaving Jamie alone. "And I'll deal with this pest..."
Pitch formed a giant black arrow and prepared to fire it at Jamie. My eyes went wide and I pushed myself up. I knew it was too late anyways, and if there was one last thing I was going to do, it was to save Jamie. Just like Anna saved Elsa.
I'm starting to see creepy similarities...
Anyways, I ran in front of Jamie, held out my arms in a protective way, and stood my ground just as Pitch fired. I screamed, "STOP!", but it was too late.
The last thing that I remembered was feeling something erupt out of my chest, and knowing that Jamie should be safe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was strange waking up.
I heard someone sobbing, and found that I could breathe. I blinked a few times, before lowering my arms. I then looked down to see Jamie hugging me tightly and crying. I smiled at the kid and ruffled his hair. He quickly looked up at me.
"J-Jack?"
"What, you didn't think I was dead, did you?"
Jamie had a smile grow on his face. "JACK!"
I laughed as he tackled me to the ground. "Hey, you should know that it takes more than that to kill Jack Frost!"
"And it's a good thing, too." I looked up to see Elsa. She held out a hand to me and I took it after Jamie got off me and pulled me up.
"Awwa, you do care." I smiled at her.
She frowned and punched my arm. "OWWW!" I yelled.
"Uh, Jack?" I looked at Jamie. "You should know that...you may be alive, but you still don't have any powers..."
I frowned. I did feel the same that I did before when I didn't have any powers...
SO WHY DON'T I HAVE ANY?!
Jamie giggled. "Looks like you're gonna have to do it..."
My eyes widened. "JAMIE!"
"Do what?" Elsa asked.
I started sweating. "Um, uh, um, uh..."
"Elsa, you have to kiss Jack so that he can get his powers back!" Jamie suddenly yelled.
As much as I like that kid, I almost attacked him.
"Wait, what?" Elsa asked.
"Jack's had a crush on you for a while...that's why I think that it should work!"
Check that, I almost murdered myself.
Elsa slowly turned to look at me. I gulped, seeing the look on her face. "Uh, now Elsa, you wouldn't attack a powerless winter-spirit, would you?"
"Try me."
I didn't like the sound of that...
"But, if it is the only way..."
Am I hearing what I think I'm hearing?!
"Then perhaps it wouldn't hurt..."
I almost fainted.
"Yes! Now go, guys!" Jamie said, pushing me a little bit into Elsa. I turned and glared at him, but he only smiled innocently.
Nervously, I looked back at Elsa, who smiled to me her perfect smile. I gulped again, and let her slowly come forward...
...and kiss me.
I'm not going to describe it because I'd bore you all. I'll just say, Elsa is a mighty fine kisser.
I was blushing about 50 shades of red after Elsa had pulled away, still smiling. I took a deep breath and waited for a bit...
I didn't feel any different.
"Did it work?" I asked.
"Sadly, not." Elsa sighed.
What? If that wasn't the answer, then what else could it be?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Still not sorry! So, people, if it isn't Elsa, then who is it? Comment who you think in the comments! Hehe... that sounded kind of funny to me...^-^
