Dracula left his room and went down to the lobby to see his daughter with a sad expression.

"Mavey, what's wrong?" Drac wondered.

Mavis looked at him and handed him the envelope. He looked inside to find the money with the note. He took it out and read it.

Mavis,
I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but I left the hotel. It was hard to make this decision, considering I see the monsters here like family. But even though the way I feel for your dad wasn't a lie, he doesn't feel the same. I hope to see you guys again, but for now, it's best I leave.

Drac felt his heart shatter as he read the note. He bowed his head in sadness.

"I'm sorry, Dad. But I have to know: did you really zing with her or was it what she said?" Mavis asked.

"Well, she zinged with me when we first met, but I didn't zing with her..." Drac said, Mavis was saddened by this, then Drac added, "...until she arrived at the hotel."

Her head shot up and she looked straight at her father.

"YOU ZINGED WITH HER?!" she exclaimed in excitement.

"Yes," he nodded.

"Then go find her and tell her," Mavis told him.

"I can't. She won't want to talk to me after our argument," Drac shook his head.

"But if you fix this, she will come back. Please, Dad. After I read the note for myself, I saw how heartbroken Dennis was. He cried himself to sleep. And...I see her as another mother," she admitted.

He looked down at his daughter, caressed her cheek, and said, "I'm sorry for not realizing sooner, Devil Chops. I will try to bring her back."

Mavis smiled and hugged her father's neck while saying, "Thank you, Dad."

He returned the hug for a minute then noticed his dad come in.

"Hey, Drac. Have you seen Jamie? I want to know if she made a move on you yet," Vlad smirked.

"You knew about her zing with me too?" Drac asked.

"Oh yeah. We both did the same thing when you met Martha: let you be with the one you loved. So where is she?" Vlad said.

"We don't know. She left the hotel because she thinks I don't feel the same towards her. But I do," Drac answered.

"Then go get her," Vlad instructed.

"I will. Can you help Mavis with anything she needs?" Drac requested.

"Can do," Vlad nodded.

Drac nodded back then went to get his friends. Once he found them, he ran to them.

"Guys, I need your help," he said.

"What's wrong, Drac?" Griffin asked.

"Jamie left. For real this time. I need to find her and tell her I zinged with her when she was here at the hotel," Drac explained.

"CALLED IT!" they all shouted happily.

"How did you guys know?" Drac wondered.

"Drac, it was really obvious," Frank pointed out.

"Plus, she told me about her zing with you after we met Martha," Murray added.

"What?!" Drac shouted then replied, "Never mind. Will you guys please help me find her?"

"Sure, pal. She's family," Wayne answered as the others agreed.

"Thank you. Wayne, get Winnie. She can help us track her," Drac requested.

"Can do," Wayne responded with a nod.

They got Winnie and headed out. They split up to cover more ground.

They have been searching for a while when Wayne and Winnie found something. They howled until they all showed up.

"What did you two find?" Drac asked.

"Jamie's suitcases," Wayne answered.

"Along with claw marks and a familiar scent...that I don't like," Winnie added, growling at the last part.

Drac got a closer look at the claw marks on the ground then gasped quietly.

"Bela," he stated.

"Again? What did Jamie ever do to him?" Murray wondered.

"I don't know. But we have to find her," Drac answered, a hint of anger in his voice.

He turned into a bat and was about to fly, but then Frank grabbed his legs, keeping him from flying into the sky. Drac looked back at him in confusion as he turned back to his regular form.

"What are you doing, Frank?" Drac asked.

"Drac, the sun's about to come up. You need to go back to the hotel," Frank said.

"What? No! I can't leave Jamie out there!" Drac argued.

"Well, you're not gonna be able to help her as a pile of ash," Wayne pointed out.

"They're right, Drac," Griffin said.

"We'll find her and bring her back. Take Winnie back to the hotel," Murray told him.

They gave Winnie to Drac then left. Drac went back to the hotel, dropped Winnie off, and was about to go back out into the woods.

"Uncle Drac, where are you going?" she asked.

He looked back at her and answered, "I'm going back to find Jamie."

"But Dad said that you could die," Winnie said.

Drac sighed then replied, "I know. But as long as Jamie is safe, it's all worth it."

"Love is a complicated thing," she commented.

"I know," he chuckled then said, "If anyone asks, I'm helping the others look for Jamie. We'll be back soon."

And with that, Drac ran at top speed to find his zing.
