READER'S POV

I was in shock after being struck down by a Reaper Tail and seeing the four main characters of my favourite game. 

'This is impossible! How did I get teleported into the world of Final Fantasy XV?! it's unheard of!'

I shouted in my head while clutching my shoulder. Noctis got in front of me and he summoned his sword and he said to me.

"Stay back, we'll take care of these guys."

"Thanks..."

I flinched in pain since my shoulder still hurt and then I watched the four men fight the Reaper tails. I was impressed by their fighting abilities especially Noctis' fighting style. Once the Reaper tails were defeated, the guys salvaged what was left of the creatures that attacked me. I slowly stood up from the ground and then Ignis came over to me.

"Are you all right?"

"Oh yeah, I'm perfectly fine, of course, I am not all right!! I have no idea where I am and I got attacked by a bloody giant scorpion!" I yelled angrily at him.

"OK, OK, calm down," Ignis told me.

"Ugh, sorry I snapped, ow!"

I looked at my shoulder and it was bleeding. Ignis looked at my shoulder and he said to me.

"That's a nasty hit you took, hold on."

Ignus got a healing potion and he said to me.

"Here, drink this."

I took the potion from him and I gulped it down and then the pain I felt on my shoulder disappeared. I looked at my shoulder and it was completely healed.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Prompto came over to me and he asked me.

"Who are you? what's a cute girl like you doing out here in the desert?"

"You guys first."

"Oh, sorry, my name is Prompto."

Prompto looked at the others and they introduced themselves.

"Name's Gladiolus, nice to meet you, Lass."

"I'm Ignis."

"Noctus."

I smiled at them and I told them.

"It's nice to meet you, my name is (F/n) (L/n) and thanks again for me saving me."

Gladiolus looked at me up and down and he asked me.

"You're welcome and all but, where are you from and what are you even doing out here? You do realise it's dangerous out here."

"Only at the last minute, yes, and as for what I'm doing here, I honestly don't know, I was in my room one minute and then the next minute I found myself here."

'It's probably for the best that I don't tell them that I'm from a different world otherwise, they'll think I'm crazy.'

I thought to myself after telling them this.

"Well then, (Y/n), where are you from?"

"I'm from (Town Name)."

"(Town Name)? I've never heard of such a place, what about you, Ignis?" Prompto asked Ignis who was looking through his phone.

"Hmm, there's no record of this woman's name registered for Insomnia and there's no place called (Town Name)."

"So what are we supposed to do with her?" Noctis asked Ignis until Prompto spoke up.

"I'd say we let her tag along with us, besides, it would be a shame to leave her out here alone again."

"I really don't want to be trouble for you guys and besides, I can't fight like you."

"You don't have to, you can sit in the background and watch us fight."

Prompto said with a grin on his face. I sweatdropped a little and I thought to myself.

'In other words, he wants to try and impress me.'

"Looks like we haven't got much of a choice then, let's get going before the sun goes down, we better get back to the Crown City."

I followed the boys and then we got to the car and it's what they call the Regalia. I sat in between Noct and Galdious while Prompto sat on the passenger side and Ignis was driving. As we drove through the desert, I watched the scenery flew by us and I still couldn't believe that was really here in the world of Final Fantasy XV.

'I still don't know how I got here but, it's a nice change, for the time being, at least I don't have to hear my parents lecturing me again.'

I played with the locket around my neck and then Noctus spoke up.

"Is that something special to you?"

"Yeah, my grandfather gave this to me for my tenth before he got sick."

"I'm sorry to hear that, I must have stirred some old memories huh?"

"Oh no, it's fine, I don't mind besides, my grandfather used to tell me 'it's always best to talk about what's been eating us up rather than trying to keep it bottled up."'

Gladiolus chuckled and he said to me.

"He sounds like a very wise man."

"Hehe, that's what I used to say when I was little."

Prompto turned to look at me and he asked me.

"So, what do you like to do for fun."

"Prompto!"

"What? I meant what she likes to do in her spare time."

I shook my head at him and I told him.

"Well, believe it or not, but, when I've got spare time on my hands, I'm either playing video games, reading manga books or practise my free-running skills also known as Parkour."

Noctis looked at me surprised and he asked me.

"You're into video games too, what kind?"

"Ever heard of Assassin's Creed and Dragon age inquisition?"

"I've heard of the first option but not the second, I had no idea that you're into stuff like that, how many of the series have you played so far?"

"I've pretty much played all of them except for the new one that got released, Odessy."

"No way!!" Prompto shouted in a shocked tone.

"You've played that new game as well?! Man, I'm jealous."

"Hehe, don't worry I'm pretty sure there will come a time when it gets shipped here, you'll see, it's like what my grandfather used to say 'all good things will come to those who are patient.'"

Gladiolus chuckled when I said this.

"I guess that's true, but, a  certain someone isn't very patient."

"Hey!!"

Prompto shouted we laughed at his reaction. After a while, we reached the crown city and I was impressed and surprised when I saw it. 

'Wow...so this is what the crown city is like...I've seen it in the anime and some short scenes of it from the game but, to see it in person like this is like a dream come true.'

Prompto looked at me and he asked me.

"What's the matter? never seen a city like before?"

"Where I came from is similar but, compared to my hometown, this place is ten times bigger and it's livelier too."

I commented as I looked at the busy streets. We eventually arrived at a cathedral where the King, Regis Lucis Caelum, Noctis' father lived. I was surprised by this and then we got out of the Regalia and we made our way into the castle. As we walked through the hallways, I walked next to Noctis and asked him.

"Um, are you sure it's all for me to meet the King?"

"It'll be fine, besides, my old man won't turn away a helpless woman like you."

"Excuse me?! helpless?! I can take care of myself as long as a giant scorpion doesn't chase after me and attack me."

"Technically speaking, that was Reaper tail that stung you," Ignis spoke up.

"Same difference," I told him and then we arrived at the throne room.

I felt a little bit nervous when we stepped into the throne room and then Noctis wrapped his arm around my shoulder and he said to me.

"Don't be nervous, come on."

I nodded my head as we walked towards the throne where the King was sitting. He saw us coming and then he stood up from the throne. He walked down the stairs carefully since he was using a cane and then he approached us. 

"Noctis, I see you and the others have returned, how did it go with the hunting trip?"

"Fine but, we also found something while we were out there."

Noctis said as he stepped aside so the King could get a better look at me. 

"Who is the woman and where did you find her?"

"We found her being attacked by Reaper tails, we were lucky that we were able to get to her in time before they could tear her to pieces."

"I'm standing right here you know," I told Noctis and then the King looked at me up and down.

"Um...is something the matter?"

I asked as the King circled around me and then he asked me.

"Who are you and where did you come from?"

"My name is (F/n) (L/n), I'm from (Town's Name)."

"I've never heard of such a place, she must be from a different realm."

The King said to the boys and I was a little surprised that he'd figure it out so quickly but, then again, I couldn't exactly tell them that they're all from a video game and how I know about Insomnia falling to the imperial army, Ardyn being the founder alive all this time and killing Regis and the Lady Lunafrye's fate when...

"Tell me, (Y/n), how did you end up in the desert and being attacked by Reapertails?"

"I honestly have no idea, your highness, one minute I was in my room and then all of a sudden I found myself lost and alone until those giant scorpions what you call Reapertails attacked me if it hadn't been for the Prince rushing in and saving me I would have been the Reapertails snack right about now."

I explained as I lowered my head and then the King looked at Noctis.

"Noctis, you said you were the one who saved her right?"

"Yes."

"Since you're the one who helped her, you'll be the one to keep an eye on her, I'm not saying she could be a spy for the enemy but, we can't be too careful."

"Yes, Father," Noctis understood that command.

"Thank you for your hospitality, your highness," I said as I bowed politely to King Regis.

After the servants showed me to one of the guest rooms, I sat on the bed wondering what I was supposed to do now. I placed my hand on the silver locket and I looked at the photo of me and Grandfather. 

'Oh grandfather...what have I got myself into?'

I gripped onto the locket while thinking about what happened before I was suddenly transported here into this world.

FLASHBACK...

"We don't recognise you anymore! this is gotta stop right now!"

"Big deal! it's my life! I can do whatever I want!"

"You're 17 years old and as long as you're under our roof you'll do as you're told!"

I frowned at him and I said to Mum.

"Mum! please don't let him do this!"

"I'm sorry, honey, but, your father is right this time. Next week, you'll be going to England to study abroad until you get your act together."

"You can't change who I am!"

"We can and we will!"

"I hate you! I hate both of you! I wished Grandfather was here instead of you!"

FLASHBACK ENDS...

'That was the last thing that I said to my parents...I can't believe I said such a thing to them but then again, it was their fault for pressuring me so much and now...I'm here.'

Just then, someone knocked on the door. I snapped out of my thoughts and I closed the locket before standing up from the bed. 

"Who is it?"

"It's only me, (Y/n)."

"Oh, Prince Noctis, come in."

I said as he came into the room. 

"You know, you don't have to be respectful when my dad's not around, anyway, how are you settling in?"

"Fine, I think..."

"You think?"

"Sorry, I tend to feel a bit uneasy when I'm in a new place, but, I'm still grateful that your father is putting a roof over my head."

"That's good to hear, oh, and before I forget."

Noctis hands me a pouch of Gil and he said to me.

"Since my father told me to keep an eye on you, I might as well show you around the city and see if you can get some new clothes seeing as how your old ones are a bit..."

I looked down at myself and he was right.

"Dusty, dirty and a bit worn?"

"Yeah, sorry."

"No, don't apologise, I saw your point anyway, come on."

Noctis and I left the room and then he showed me around the city. The city looked amazing and lively as Noctis showed me around and then we got to some of the clothing stores to see what kind of outfits I should get. I tried on a black sleeveless jacket and then Noctis said to me.

"You know, I was expecting you to wear a skirt or a dress but no, I'm a bit surprised to see someone like you to be a...what's the word?"

"Tomboy?"

"Yeah, that."

"Hehe, well, not all women where I'm from are always wearing skirts or dresses, we like to wear jeans and other clothing that's easy to move about in."

I took off the jacket and I put on my denim jacket again before taking another look at the other clothes for sale. I held up a black tank top and I asked Noctis.

"Hey, do you think this will match with the jacket I've got my eye on?"

"I guess so..." Noctis spoke in an unsure tone in his voice.

"Hehe, what's the matter? never been shopping with a woman before?"

"Something like that."

"Don't worry, Loki was like that too when I was 13 and going through a rebellious phase."

Noctis looked at me surprised and he asked me.

"Who the heck is Loki?"

"He's my childhood friend and parkour partner too."

"Park- what?"

"Parkour it's another word for a free runner, you see, Loki and some of my friends from school and I meet up a random location that looks good for a free-running obstacle course and sometimes we partner up in case the locations we choose tend to get a bit dangerous or we like to race each other sometimes."

I said as I picked out some new tops and some jeans. I also picked out some new shoes as well. Once I got my new clothes, I decided to buy some accessories for my new outfits. I bought a new watch, a pair of fingerless gloves and a new choker necklace. After shopping with Noctis for a while, the sun had begun to set and we were on our way back to the palace.

I looked at the landscape and it was beautiful. Noctis noticed me staring at the horizon and he asked me.

"Like the view?"

"Yeah, you don't get a view like this back home and even if I did, it would have been from a bird's eye view from on top of a building."

"What? seriously, how high do you climb the buildings  back where you're from whenever you're doing parkour?"

"Oh quite a few high places, you'd be surprised how well I'm able to pull off some of the stunt moves from the Assassin's Creed series, I've also practised the leap of faith a few times but only on a practise course where it's safe."

"What?! what are you some kind of stunt woman or something?"

"Hehehe, I always get the same reaction."

I spoke with a smile on my face. 

NOCTIS' POV

I was surprised when I saw her smiling and I then said to her.

"Finally, you're smiling."

"Huh?" (Y/n) looked at me confused and I said to her.

"Since you arrived here you looked a bit miserable, but now, you're smiling."

"Thanks for today, Prince Noctis, I think having the little tour today and going shopping put a smile on my face, at least it helped me forget about the bad stuff that happened to before I came here."

'Huh? bad stuff? what does she mean?'

(Y/n) realised what she just said and then she looked back at me.

"Sorry, forget what I said, anyway, shall we get back? I'm hungry."

"Sounds good to me."

Noctis spoke with a smile and then they headed back to the palace. Once they got back, Regis saw them and then he greeted them.

"Hello you two, so, how is the guest settling in?"

"Fine, thank you, your highness and I wanna thanks again for letting me stay here."

"Don't mention it."

"Well, excuse me, see ya, Prince Noctis."

(Y/n) said as she left to go back to her room with the new clothes she bought. Noctis smiled a little and then King Regis said to him.

"Noctis, what do you think about her? do you think she's a spy from the enemy?"

"No, at least, I don't think so. I've been watching her closely and she hasn't tried to assassinate me and she doesn't seem that a suspicious either, I think she really is telling us the truth about being teleported here unexpectedly."

"Well don't let your guard down, you can't be too careful."

"Yes, sir."

Noctis said as he headed back to his room.

READER'S POV

I got back to my room with my new clothes and I then stood outside on the balcony. I rested my folded arms on the railing and I stared at the horizon.

'This place is amazing...however, will I be able to find a way back to my world?'

I asked myself as the wind gently blew and I then stared at the sun setting sky while thinking about my home.
