READER'S POV

We got to the port and I took in the smell of the ocean and I smiled a little. Once Ignis parked the car, we got put and I looked around.

'Wow! It's so beautiful here! When was the last time I went to the beach? I must have been nine or ten the last time I took a boat trip to an island.'

"Somebody seems excited to be here," Noctis commented making me blush a little.

"Was it that obvious?"

"Your face lit up the moment we got here."

"Hehe, that's because I haven't been to the beach since I was little, can you blame me?"

"Not at all, it makes you look cute."

I blushed bright red when Noctis said this.

"Don't say stuff like that Noct!!"

Noctis started laughing and then Ignis spoke up.

"That's enough with the flirting you two, we didn't come here to have fun, we're supposed to be on the next ferry to the island."

Noctis and I sighed disappointedly.

"Party pooper," I mumbled.

"Spoilsport," Noctis mumbled.

We walked along the bridge to the port but, we began to hear people chatting about the boats being cancelled due to enemy ships.

'Uh oh, if I recalled correctly, those guys were supposed to get the boat to the island but, Ardyn is supposed to show up, we get an egg from that large bird and the next day, Noctis will find out that King Regis and the Crown city have...'

I wondered if I should tell them but, they probably wouldn't give me anyway. We got to the restaurant until Ardyn appeared. A shiver went through my spine when we saw him.

The others haven't realised that he's Noctis' ancestor and our worst enemy bit, I figured it was best to stay quiet about that. Ardyn looked at us and then he spoke up.

"I'm afraid you're out of luck."

"Are we?" Noctis asked him.

"The boats bring you here."

"What about them?" Prompto asked him.

"Well, they'll not take you forth."

"And what's your story?" Gladio asked him.

"I'm an impatient traveller, ready to turn ship."

We watched Ardyn walk past us as he continued.

"The cease-fire is getting us nowhere."

Suddenly, Ardyn tossed a coin to Noctis but, Gladio caught it in time. He and Noctis looked at it and he asked him.

"What's this? Some sort of souvenir?"

"Consider it your allowance."

"And who is allowing us?"

"A man of no consequence."

"Yeah right," Noctis mumbled as we watched him leave but, I, on the other hand, glared at him.

Once the boys went ahead of me, Adreyen suddenly came back and he held my shoulder tightly. I froze on the spot and then he whispered in my ear.

"I know who you are and I also know that you're not from this world. You better watch your back, demons love to lurk in the middle of the night."

"I'm not scared of you and I already know what you're up to but, I won't say a word what you're planning, it's not like they'll believe me anyway."

Ardyn smirked evilly when I said this and then he patted my head.

"Good girl, see you around, Lady Leila."

My eyes widen in shock when he called me this.

"Wait, my name is not-"

I looked around and he was gone. I was confused when he called me Leila and how he knew that I wasn't from this world. Things just kept getting weirder and weirder.

Once I caught up to the boys, Prompto looked at me and he asked me.

"Hey, are you all right? You look like you've just seen a ghost."

"I'm fine, anyway, what's going on?"

"We won't be able to catch the next boat to Altissia due to the ceasefire," Ignis explained to me.

"What are we gonna do?"

"There's someone who can help us but, we'll need to get something for him first, it's a rare gemstone."

"Cool, let's get going."

I said to the others. However, Gladio grabbed me by the collar and he said to me.

"Stop!"

"Ah! hey, what gives?!" I shouted after Galdio released my collar.

"It might get dangerous."

"What are you saying?"

"It's best you waited here for us, besides, who knows what could be guarding the rare gemstone."

Several tick marks appeared on my head and then Prompto told me.

"He's right you know, we don't want to harm that pretty face."

"Just do as you're told, (Y/n). This is not some video game you know and a battlefield is no place for a woman, anyway," Noctis spoke up and that crossed the line.

BONK! BONK! BONK! BONK!

"OW!!"

"Unfortunately for you idiots, I am not like your typical stay at home woman, now let's get going and by the way, I laugh at danger, *Chuckle*"

NOCTIS' POV

I rubbed the top of my head where she whacked me and then Prompto spoke up.

"She is not normal."

"You can say that again but, ow," Gladio said as he rubbed the top of his head. "Ain't she a bit too strong for a lady? I actually felt that punch to the head."

"I heard that!!" (Y/n) shouted.

I sweatdropped a little and then I chuckled quietly. 

'Yeah, she's not normal but, at least she's able to brighten the atmosphere around here.' 

READER'S POV

We got to the spot where the gemstone was but, we saw a large bird and it was asleep. Prompto looked at it with a scared look on his face.

"Omg we're supposed to go near that thing?"

"Pipe down before you wake it up."

Gladio whispered to him. I whispered to them.

"Both of you shut up, you're gonna wake it up."

The five of yours crouched down and then we carefully and quietly snuck past the sleeping bird bit, Prompto was shaking like a leaf and he kept making funny noises. Suddenly, the bird stirred a little.

Prompto was about to shout but, I quickly covered his mouth to shut him up. I glanced at the bird and it went back to sleep. Gladio and I sighed in relief.

"Nice save," Gladio whispered to me.

Noctis grabbed the gemstone but, as we made our way out of the area, the bird suddenly woke up. It opened all four wings and we felt a strong gust of wind at our faces. We shielded our faces and then the bird squeaked loudly before taking off into the sky, sending us tumbling onto the ground.

Once it was gone we watched it leave and I sat up from the ground and shouted.

"Holy crap!!"

"Took the words right out of my mouth lass."

Gladio said as he helped me back onto my feet. I wiped the dust off myself and then Noctis sighed in relief.

"Oh, we made it out alive."

"Barely! I seriously thought we were at journey's end," Prompto spoke as he felt relieved after the large bird left. 

"But that feat was fit for a King," Gladio commented.

"Indeed."

Ignis agreed before we headed back to the Regalia. We got back to the port where we met up with Dino and he was impressed when he saw the rare gemstone. After we dealt with Dino, the sun had pretty much gone down by the time we got back to the port so, we found a place to stay for the night. Right now, I didn't feel like hanging out with the guys or relaxing in the room so I decided to take a quiet walk near the beach so I can think about what the events that happened to me.

I walked alongside the calm waves of the sea and then I started to think about the amulet that King Regis gave me, Cid's reaction when he heard my last name and Ardyn's warning and when he called me Leila.

'Something odd is going on, I've played Final Fantasy Xv like a million times and not once have I heard of this Leila person from the game or the amulet that King Regis gave me. Ever since I got sent into this world, strange things have been happening to me lately. Someone or something caused me to get sent into this world and I still don't have a clue who caused it, what am I gonna do?'

"(Y/n)?"

I jumped in fright and when I turned to look who called out to me, it was Noctis.

"Bloody hell Noct! don't sneak up on me like that! you almost gave me a heart attack!"

"*Chuckle* sorry about that, anyway, what are you doing out here? you know it's dangerous when the demons come out at night."

"Only out in the wilderness, besides, we're safe here and I fancied a walk on the beach."

Noctis walked alongside me and he then said to me.

"You've been acting oddly since we left the city, what's going on?"

"I honestly don't know, I've been trying to figure out what this amulet means and why Cid acted like he's heard of my last name before."

Noctis looked at the amulet and he held it in the palm of his hand so he can look at it.

"My father had this? that's odd."

"Why?"

"Because this amulet once belonged to the spirit maiden of the Crown City, Leila. She was the protector and advisor to the previous kings of Lucis but then one day, she suddenly disappeared."

"Disappeared? why?"

"I have no idea and why my old man gave this to you is also another mystery that has been yet to solve."

I giggled a little and then I looked at the ocean's horizon. I smiled a little and then Noctis asked me.

"Does the view bring back memories for you?"

"It does, I remember my Grandfather bringing me to the beach when I was about nine or ten years old. We used to play in the sand and we went fishing together out there in the ocean. It was one of the best memories I've ever had."

"Is that so? Do you still go for a midnight stroll through the beach?"

"Sometimes, and I like to do this as well."

I knelt onto the ground and then I began to unlace my boots.

"What are you...wait, are you going in the water?"

"Of course, we BOTH are."

"I'm going into the water too?!"

I nodded my head and then Noctis shook his head for a no.

"No way, forget about it."

I shook my head at him after taking off my socks and rolling up the bottom of my jeans.

"Noctis, my grandfather's rule was this: 'If I'm taking you to the beach, you better be going in the sea.' That was his rule, not mine. Now stop being a wuss and let's go, you gotta learn to have some fun every now and then right?"

Noctis saw my point and then he also took off his boots. We wandered through the water and then Noctis.

"Ah, my feet are freezing! the fishing I don't mind and when the water is warm during the day but, it's bad when it's at night!"

"Hehe, but, you gotta admit, it's kinda fun."

"Fun?! what part of walking through the water at night is fun?!"

"This!"

I splashed water at Noctis and he shouted at me.

"Ah!! hey! what'd you do that for?!"

"You look like you needed to cool off so I'm doing you a favour, take this!!"

I splashed at Noctis and then he smirked playfully at me.

"Okay, now you're gonna get it, Parkour Lady!"

Noctis splashed at me, making me squeal playfully. 

"Oh, it's on now, Prince Noctis!!"

Noctis and I laughed as we splashed each other. After splashing each other, Noctis began to chase me but, I managed to dodge him a few times thanks to my quick reflexes.

"Oy! come back here!"

"No way!"

I playfully smirked at him before running away from him but, I forgot that Noctis can also warp so when I tried to run Noctis used his warp abilities and then he tackles me onto the ground.  

"Gotcha!"

"Oh come on! that's cheating!!"

We both started laughing afterwards and then Noctis sat up and then I realised that he was on top of me. He had his hands on each side of my head and his leg was in between my legs. I blushed a little and then Noctis said to me with a small smile on his face.

"Thank you."

"What for?"

"For making me laugh and putting a smile on my face."

I smiled back at him and I said to him.

"You know, your father mentioned the same thing to me. Ever since I came along, King Regis told me that you've been smiling a lot since we became housemates. Could it be that finally having some female company in your home put a smile on your face?"

"You could say that you've been looking out for me, taking care of me and my home. I can tell from the look in your eyes that we share something in common."

I looked into Noctis' blue eyes and then he gently ran the back of his fingers on my cheek and then he started to lean closer to my face. Our faces were inches away from each other until Prompto shouted.

"Noct! (Y/n)! where are you?!"

We snapped out of it and then Noctis scrambled onto his feet and I did the same before wiping the sand off my clothes. Noctis and I stood next to each other while acting that spur of the moment didn't happen and then Prompto came over to us.

"Ah-ha! there you are, huh, why are you two wet?"

"We just had a little bit of a splash fight, he started it!"

"Did not!" Noctis argued. 

Prompto laughed and then he said to us.

"Anyway, Ignis told to find you guys and tell you that dinner is ready."

"Oh good, I'm starving."

I said as I put my socks and boots back on. Prompto looked between me and Noctis and he asked us.

"Wait, did I just interrupt something between you two?"

"NO!!" Noctis and I shouted in unison which scared Prompto.

"*Sighs* Anyway, let's get back to the hotel."

"Right behind you," I told Noctis.

Before Prompto and I caught up with him, I grabbed his shoulder and I death glared at him.

"Say one word to Gladio and Ignis about what you saw, I'll feed you to the deamons myself."

"*Gulp* yes, ma'am."

Prompto mumbled in a scared tone before I caught up with Noctis.

THE NEXT DAY...

We got up early and Ignis wasn't around this morning after Noct and I got up.

"Heya, morning."

Prompto greeted us as we entered the living room. 

"Where's Specs?"

"Should be back any minute now," Gladio told him.

Just then, the amulet that I was wearing suddenly glowed a little. I was surprised by this and then Prompto spoke up.

"What's happening to the amulet?"

"I have no idea, it's never done that before."

I told them as I looked at the amulet and then it stopped glowing.

"Weird, my father told me the amulet hasn't lit up since Leila's disappearance. Only she was able to control its power."

I ran my fingers over the amulet until I heard faint screams and cries followed by a ringing sound in my head. I clutched my head and then I saw images of King Regis and Insomnia falling to the hands of Nifeliheim along with the crystal. 

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)!? are you all right?!" Noctis asked in a worried tone.

I snapped out of it and I shook my head a little. I looked around and I was back in the hotel room.

"What happened?" Gladio asked me.

"I don't know...I touched the amulet and then all of a sudden I heard...the people of Insomnia screaming and crying and...King Regis...dead."

"What?" Noct asked me in a shocked tone.

"That's impossible, you're probably still tired."

"Yeah...sure..."

Eventually, Ignis came back with a newspaper in his hand. He looked at Noctis with a worried look and then Noctis asked him.

"What's that look for?"

Gladio took the newspaper from Ignis and he told him.

"It's in all of the papers."

"What is?" Noctis asked him.

"Insommia...falls?"

Prompto read out the title which shocked me and Noctis. I held the amulet in my hand and then I thought to myself

'No way...not only did I already know about King Regis dying and the crystal being stolen by Nifelheim...I actually got to see it for myself...did the amulet showed me part of the future?'
