NaJ 2

When Caster awoke, they were in for a bit of a shock. Erratum had brought them to his class, in what boiled down to a large stroller. Caster had slept for a long time, likely mentally exhausted and emotionally drained. Grumbling lightly they let themself fall asleep again, as Erratum frowned lightly. They were so... it was like Erratum was looking into a funhouse mirror.  A distorted image of his former self looking at him. They were almost hard to look at, at times, but he also couldn't leave them. It was.... difficult to explain, and hard to comprehend. . . . Blue sat at their desk looking at the small skeleton in the stroller as they slept. They didn't know who they were, or their connection with Mr. Erratum. But they looked... tired to say the least... but they barely looked bigger than a toddler. Hell the kid fit in a stroller, just... who were they? Blue sighed, they wanted to ask so many questions, but didn't know how. It also didn't help the fact Blue had a crush and Mr. Erratum and him pushing around a stroller gave major Blue DILF vibes. Shaking that thought out of their head, a lot of things were about to change for Blue very quickly. . . And it started with them being called into the principle's office.

Blue: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY BROTHER IS DEAD?!?!?! YOU'RE LYING!!!!!!!!!!!"

Principle Muffet: "Blue, please.... I know this is a lot to take in but please try and calm down....."

Blue: "I WILL NOT~! HE CAN'T BE DEAD!!! HE CAN'T~!"

Blue burst into tears as a police officer explained what had happened. Apparently, Stretches car was ran off the road and they went over a cliff. Luckily the area was a hotspot for accidents so there were cameras that caught the offending car. The people responsible were in custody, and awaiting trail for murder. Though that didn't gave Blue any comfort, with no other family members it looked like Blue would be sent to foster care. Until Erratum heard about the incident and offered Blue a place to live. Blue had no real choice but to except, and by the end of the week they had moved into the mansion along with Caster and Horror. It seemed the once empty rooms were starting to fill up. Horror and Error usually did all the house work, Blue kind of fell into their own little world and Caster was.... was just there. As if they didn't care about anything anymore. They just slept, and... not much else... even in their own world Blue felt concerned and worried about them.

Erratum: "Caster, you need to eat."

Caster: "No I don't, can't starve to death, something you should know about."

Those words kind of stung Erratum a bit but... he still tried to get Caster to eat. When that didn't work, it was baby-bones feeding time. Caster didn't even fight back, just limply laid there in his arms. It was depressing to see a kid like that, but at the same time none of them knew what to do to help. Maybe Blue could help, or Horror? Erratum sighed as he finished feeding Caster and cradled them close. Rocking the tiny skeleton back to sleep, dark circles under the tiny one's eye sockets.

Blue: "I don't understand... they sleep so much, how are they so tired?"

Erratum: "Cause they don't sleep as much as you think. Most of the time they just lay with their eyes closed. They've been having nightmares too, so that isn't helping."

Horror: "What... happened to them..."

Erratum looked away before speaking, explaining that they were kidnapped and escaped. And where they were from was much, much too far away to return to. And even if it wasn't, it would still be impossible to. The two of them didn't really understand but knew it must have been really bad. Over the course of the next few weeks, Blue and Horror tried to help Caster feel better. Though it didn't work as well as they thought it would, Caster seemed to either push them away or ignored them. But a few times their real feelings leaked out, they were scared to get close to anyone. Knowing they'd be taken sooner or later, they didn't wanna get attached to anyone. And it made sense, if they felt they were just going to be taken again. Why would they want to get attached to anyone? Answer, they wouldn't, so they didn't, and wouldn't, to avoid getting hurt later. It was sad, but... they understood the mindset. Hopefully they could help them at least feel better, if not, maybe they could at least do something? It was complicated to say the least, but they were willing to try.
