Alanna Sandberg-Whittaker was many things. Almost twenty-one, an independent child, a sister, a daughter, a roommate, a therapist, a business owner, an almond croissant lover, a Swede, a half-orphan, a Sandberg, a Whittaker, an Occlumens...

She did not expect teacher to be one of them.

But when a man named Xavier came to ask if she could teach his nephew, Theodore Nott, Legilimency over a mind curse put on the Nott family by her ancestors... well, it felt wrong to say no.

Maybe she was just a people-pleaser and helping others overcome their problems helped her avoid her own...

Or maybe she just wanted to be more like her dead mother, Linnéa, and help people the first chance she got. It's probably (definitely) why she became a therapist.

Besides that, her days of giving therapy to troubled young adults and troubled (older) adults, they became plenty more exciting with the new arrival of a joke shop down the road from her therapists office. She hoped that would be enough of a distraction from the snobbish wizards frowning upon having a therapist in Diagon Alley. Could you even think of something worse than actually resolving your problems in a mature way? What a disgrace.

Besides that... one of the joke shop owners was also pretty cute.

(And not that she knew anything, but Theodore Nott was not the only one that had a curse put on his family...)

i SUCK at summaries omg but this is basically a story about alanna dealing w finding out secrets ab her family and how her mother died and teaching theo nott legilimency and her meeting george and them vibing and her just vibing with fred and lee and the joke shop fam in general. the fic's a bit of fun guys! and because there aren't NEARLY enough george fics out there omg

another thing like since fred and george are proper "businessmen😎" now 😁 i will definitely be showcasing their more mature side if you get me?? like obvs they're gonna be bubbly and tricksters and pranksters like they always are BUT ik for a fact going into the big world will have made them more mature and yah🤠 but they'll always be pranksters to me💖💖
