Mission report Dezember 16th 1991

Bucky's view
It wasn't cold I felt first, no I had felt the cold long enough. I felt the warmth. I was dragged to a chair and strapped down. I didn't know why they were doing this, but I didn't even know who I was. I didn't remember anything before my time at Hydra. Except for fragments, it was war. The bad guys had won, or so they said. Something inside me told me that wasn't true. Glaring pain shot into my head as the electricity coursed through my brain. I screamed in pain as I already heard the words "Nostal'giya, rzhavyy, semnadtsat', rassvet " I screamed even more, because whenever I heard those words I became a monster, because I did terrible things I didn't want to do, but I did them anyway "Plvil' naya pech', devyat', svoyego roda, vozvrashcheniye domoy, odin, Gruzovoy vagon." The man in front of me flipped the book closed and leaned down to me. "Good morning soldier." he said in Russian.
"I await orders." my mine was completely emotionless.
"We have a mission for you." he showed me a photo of a serum I was supposed to get.

I waited in the darkness until the car with the targets passed me. Then I started the engine and rammed the car so that it hit a power pole. I jumped off the bike and tore open the boot. The bright blue serum immediately stung my eyes. I grabbed it and stuffed it into the side compartments of my motorbike. Then I noticed the man crawling out of the car, bleeding from the face. I walked towards him "No witnesses!" the command echoed through my head. I grabbed the man by the neck. When he saw my face his eyes widened "Sargent Barnes!?" he brought out.
I hesitated, that name meant something to me, but I had a mission. I punched the man twice in the face with my normal hand. It wouldn't kill him, but it would cause a fair amount of amnesia. He fell to the ground and I left him lying there. Before the woman saw my face, I turned around and shot the camera. I got back on my vehicle and drove away. All the way back to base I couldn't shake the feeling that I was supposed to know this man, but my mind was as blank as ever. I hoped they would never know that I had spared them, because I didn't want to imagine what they would do to me. Sometimes when I had good days, I found loopholes that the blockage in my brain accepted and where I didn't have to kill anyone. But what was I complaining about. Hydra had saved me when I had been lying half dead at the bottom of a ravine. I owed them loyalty and they would get it.
