Sana x Drift
Another request by FallRiver-Prime, hope you like this one shot!
Sana walked down the street with a frown on her face. She had permanently vanished from her family's lives and she felt so alone.
One day as she was walking home she stops when she suddenly heard noises from afar.
"Slipstream wait! You can't go that far! You could get hurt!" She looks up in surprise and gets nervous. Slowly she walks towards where the talking was coming from. When she looked behind the bushes she gasps as her eyes go wide when she saw human sized "robots".
When one of them noticed her she gasps and tries to run and hide but trips and hits the ground and whimpers in pain. "O-Ow..." She mumbles then hears the same voice as before speak to her. "O-Oh goodness! A-Are you alright miss?" One asks her and she looks up in surprise when she heard one ask that.
"Slipstream you know we aren't supposed to let a human see us!" The other one yells at him, making the other mini bot flinch and look down in shame. "S-Sorry..." He said as Sana slowly la looks at them in confusion. Are they not gonna hurt her?
"Jetstorm. Slipstream." She heard giant footsteps and she gasps seeing a larger robot come out of hiding and the other two froze and quickly turn around. "M-Master Drift!" They both say and quickly bow their heads to him. The bot frowns when he notices the human girl. "Did you two really let a human spot you?!" He shouts at the two, causing the minis to look down sadly again.
"W-We're sorry Master!" They both say at the same time. Sana still sitting up with wide eyes and was also very nervous as well. She sees Drift notice her staring along with how scared and nervous she was and his gaze softens and he let's out a sigh.
"I apologise, you must be confused." He said and slowly the shy fourteen years old girl slowly nods her head and slowly gets to her feet and dusts herself off and grips on to her bag tightly. The robot called Drift made the smaller ones attached to him when they transformed and saw him suddenly transform into a car, causing her green eyes to go wide in shock. "I apologise but I'm afraid you must come with me miss..." He said. And the green girl stood there in silence, becoming even more nervous then before. She bites her power lip and decided to go inside, knowing that she probably doesn't have a choice. It was then after she gently shut the door she spoke in a shy voice.
"S-Sana....m-my name is S-Sana F-Futaba..."
---
After meeting the Autobots she started to go over to see them more often. She was nervous though since Drift would sometimes ask her if she would like to drive her home. But she would always refuse and tell him that she would be alright with walking home on her own.
It wasn't long until one day, she had no choice but to tell him and the minicons the truth.
"Sana, can you please tell us why you never let us drive you home?" Sana froze when she heard Bee ask her this. She was also starting to become closer to Bumblebee, the commander of this small Autobots team was becoming like a brother she always wished she would had have. To her he was a little bit like her other older brother but wasn't really mean.
Aside from this, she nervously looks down and clutches on to the helm of her skirt and bites her lower lip.
"Sana, we noticed that every time you come here, you would look a lot more happy but when you leave, you look really sad..." Slipstream adds as he also comes over with Jetstorm and Drift. The green haired girl kept looking down but then smiles at each of them. But it was a fake one. "It's really nothing you guys, p-please don't worry about it.." she stutters as she looks at them then gets up, placing the homework she was doing into her bag quickly. "I-I'm sorry!" She stutters and quickly rushed out of the junkyard and hurries back home.
Slipstream and Jetstorm look at each other, both worried and concerned for their green haired friend. "Master." Jetstorm looks at Drift who watched Sana run and sighs. He transforms and without another word he goes after the green haired girl.
Sana walked down the street once again, not looking at anyone else in the eye as it was soon starting to rain. She sighs sadly since she had forgotten to bring an umbrella with her since there was a report that rain was coming. It wasn't until the sound of a honk was her and she quickly turns her head and was surprised to see Drift's alt mode before her on a parking lot. She was debating on weather or not she should run but she couldn't do that, she knew she wouldn't outrun Drift even if she tried to.
So she slowly goes over to Drift and enters I'm to his alt mode and looks down sadly. Her hair all damp and wet. "You should had let me drive you back home. Didn't you knew that it was going to rain?" He asks her, but the green haired girl only stayed quiet until she spoke again with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry..." She whispers in a sad voice. Making Drift become even more concerned then he was before for her. "What do you have to be sorry for?" He asks softly as she looks out the window as she watches as rain flows down.
"...I haven't been honest with you, or with the others.." She said sadly and looks down. "...my mom was once married to my birth father, but he died a very long time ago when she married again, my step father never really acted as my father at all...he was more concerned about my grades for my studies...whenever I get bad ones, he would yell at me and tell me that I was a disgrace to the Futaba name." She said quietly, her voice sounding wistful as memories went through her mind, thinking about her family.
"Not only that, but my mother started to hate me just like he did, then again now that I look back on it, I think she started to hate me the moment when I came around." She said sadly and looks down. "No matter what I do, I only get in other people's way. I even end up getting betrayed by people who I thought were actually my real friends too...I always thought that they were right, and that I was worthless. I never had a place to belong in at all, despite still being in a family and given food, I had to stay away from them." She said as tears fell down her face.
"...ever since, I thought that there was no place for me in this world." She said softly and looks down at the still silent radio that was listening to her intently. "That was what I thought, until I meet you and the Autobots. You all make me feel like I finally have a place to belong in. I was so glad that I was founded by you guys, I was sure that I was going to be alone forever but...here I am." She said with a soft smile.
It was then she gently placed the seat belt over her. "Alright, I'm ready to go home." She said. And soon felt Drift start his engine but was surprised when he was driving back towards the scrap yard. "Drift?" Sana spoke up. "W-Why are we going the other way? My house is in a different direction." She says. But Drift only stayed silent for a while until he spoke.
"I let Bumblebee know about the situation you're in. From now on after everything is in order Danny will make sure there is more room for you to permanently stay in at the junkyard." He said as Sana stared at his radio in shock. She knew for a fact Drift wasn't one to lie about something like this. "B-But..." She felt the seat belt tighten around her, making the girl go quiet as Drift continues to speak in a serious voice.
"Sana, from what I've learned on earth, parents should not or never treat a child like this. you deserve to live a better life instead of being treated like you are invisible to others. We can give you that, if you wish for it... If you do accept I'll make sure you are safe to the best of my ability." He said, leaving Sana completely speechless. She then felt tears fall down her face and soon felt him get close to a different area where no one was around or where they could see Drift's real form.
When he transformed he gently held Sana close to him and let her cry on him, slowly getting her head with his single digits as he felt angry deep inside. Not at Sana but at her own parents for treating their youngest daughter this way while they mainly focused on her older brothers. He secretly wished he could give them a piece of his mind, but he knew he couldn't.
There's going to be some changes, but that's fine. If it's for Sana, then he'll make sure the right needs for her are met.
For she was like a daughter to her, and he will not allow her to feel invisible or worthless to anyone ever again.
