The sunlight filtered through the curtains of a large bedroom in a two story penthouse as a 22-year-old (YN) Witwicky was fast asleep in his bed until his alarm went off. (YN) yawned and opened his eyes, only to see Wolfang towering over next to him. Wolfang lowered his head, and (YN) smiled, patting his head, Wolfang growling and nuzzling with its muzzle, urging him to get up.

(YN): "Alright, alright. I'm up." He sighed to himself.

Wolfang is a Cybertronian animal called a Cyberdog with a wolf-like appearance. He stood about 6 feet tall and 10 feet long with a sleek, streamlined design, and his color scheme is black and grey with predominantly silver highlights and blue optics. He has long, stocky legs with large paws, short pointed ears that curved back, elongated muzzle with retractable sharp teeth, and a long tail. (YN) was surprised and amazed that Cybertron has wildlife on their planet when he first met him when the second wave of Autobots came to Earth.

Mikaela: "(YN)! Get down here!" She called out from downstairs.

(YN): "I'm coming!" He shouted, and got out of the bed. "Head downstairs, Wolfang." He told Wolfang, who huffed in acknowledgment, and headed downstairs. "Everyone is bothering me to get up, when I'm busting my ass on missions with Lennox and Optimus." He muttered as he walked to the bathroom.

That's right. (YN) had joined up with Colonel Lennox's task force NEST with the Autobots, and he had also been promoted to position of Commander, an equivalent rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He had been working with the Autobots ever since what happened in Egypt, even helping with Earth-related problems and human conflicts, not ones with Decepticons. He also got married to Mikaela, their ceremony being one of the best for them, Bumblebee driving the couple to their new home in Washington DC., the two setting up their home there.

(YN) brushed his teeth and grabbed his gear. He goes forth downstairs and he saw food on the table, but no there was sign of his wife.

(YN): "Mikaela?" He called and looked around, but still no sign of his wife. "Wolfang, see if you can sniff her out." Wolfang growled in acknowledgement and released a blue beam from his optics that scanned the living room. And still no sign of her. "Odd... where is she?"

Suddenly, (YN) gets jumped from behind and feels a pair of arms and legs wrap around his neck and waist. (YN) looked over his left and see it was Mikaela, smiling.

Mikaela: "Hey there, my hero." She greeted before she kisses his cheek. "Did I get you?" She asked in a teasing manner. (YN) pulled her off, making her sit on the counter.

(YN): "You got pretty close." He replied. "I'd say, uh, maybe a seven or eight."

Mikaela: "Eight? Really?" She smirked playfully. "You're terrible when it comes to rating things."

(YN): "And you're terrible accepting the hard truth." He spoke back, smirking with a cocky tone.

Mikaela: "I got you something." She pulled out a big handheld stuffed bunny rabbit behind the counter, and showed it to (YN).

(YN): "What's that?" He asked.

Mikaela: "This is your good fortune bunny." She answered, and handed it to (YN).

(YN): "Ah, it's a beautiful thought, Mikaela." He commented. "But I don't really think that it's the whole bunny that's good fortune. You see," He pointed at the left foot of the stuffed bunny. "it's just the rabbit foot that's good fortune." Mikaela grabbed a hold of his shirt and pulled him close to face a few inches.

Mikaela: "Well, it's just a good charm. You know, to help you think positively." She and (YN) passionately kissed, before she looked down and now screamed as she looked at her feet. (YN) followed her gaze and he sighed at who was on the ground.

Brains only stood as tall as reaching the knee of a human's leg, having wild Einstein-like blue electro 'hair' sticking up, blue optics being differently shaped; one appearing to be a regular blue optic, while the other appears to be magnified, and his body made with components that seem to come from a laptop of some kind.

Brains: "Get lucky." He snickered.

(YN): "Will you get out of here?" He grunted, kicking the Brains across the floor like a football.

Brains: "She's good." He added in. (YN) shook his head and picked him up.

Mikaela: "Yesterday, I found him looking through my underwear drawer." She now stated to (YN), grabbing her coat.

Brains: "Did some research." He stated. "Looking real good, too." He snickered only for (YN) to then smack him. "Oh! No need to hit me!"

Mikaela: "Well, I'm off." She opened the door. "Love you, babe." She called.

(YN): "I love you too. Take care." He called back, then he puts Brains down. As she left, he opened the balcony door, now seeing Wheelie and Roscoe there.

Wheelie: "Freaking shorting my circuits out here!" He cried out as Roscoe shook the rain off him. "It's inhumane, what it is. Making us live in box on a balcony, right next to beast! Like a common animal!" He ranted.

(YN): "Quit complaining, alright? This was the deal for you guys when it came to staying with us, Wheelie." He stated to Wheelie. "You and Brains can't just barge in without permission."

Wheelie: "Oh, yeah? According to who? Ms. Warrior Goddess?" He snorted, hopping onto Roscoe's back. "Giddyap, little doggie! Hah!" He rides Roscoe into the room and jumped on the couch, Wolfing was lying down behind it. "Yo, Brains, wassup?"

Brains: "Doing good." He nodded back, carrying a small bowl of screws.

Wheelie: "Aw crap, I've seen this one." He groaned at the TV, seeing it playing Star Trek. "It's the one where Spock goes nuts. You know, (YN), you think it's safe keeping Mikaela here in the city with us? I mean what happens if the Decepticons try to kidnap her?"

Brains: "Mm, that ain't gonna be good." He agreed, and started eating the screws. (YN) sighed to himself.

(YN): "Guys, I think about this every waking day. But she's the one that's persistent to stay, which I have no problem with whatsoever." He said. "Plus, we're now married and living the best life for us both."

Brains: "Yeah, well you be sure to remind her that we're not your pets! And we're not your toys!" He sneered. "Alright? We're an advanced genius, alien race, just looking for a home."

(YN): "Duly noted." He replied back.

Reynolds[on Radio]: "Commander Witwicky, come in! This is Major Reynolds!" He spoke. (YN) heard him and grabbed his radio.

(YN): "This is Commander Witwicky, go ahead." He radioed back.

Reynolds[on Radio]: "The Autobots are about to roll out in 30 minutes, sir!" He answered back.

(YN): "I'm on my way!" He acknowledged. He shuts off his radio and suits up. He cocks his customized Colt M4A1 Carbine with a KAC M203A1 grenade launcher, puts on his vest, and heads for the door. "Let's go, Wolfang!" Wolfang got up from the floor and trotted after him, and transformed into a rucksack with carbon fiber straps as he picked it up and hoisted it on his back.

Wheelie: "Hurry back for dinner!" He called out as (YN) exited the door.

"In the years since our arrival, our new home Earth, has seen much change. Energon detectors guard its cities now. Long-range Defence systems watch the skies."

In the Middle East, at an illegal nuclear facility in Iran, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and two new Autobots drive up to the front gate. One is Wheeljack disguised as a Mercedes-Benz E550 Sedan with flags representing Iran and the Iranian Defense Minister. And the other is Mirage disguised as a red Ferrari 458 Italia. The Iranian guards were on patrol when they saw them approaching the gate.

"So now we assist our allies in solving human conflicts, to prevent mankind from bringing harm to itself."

Iranian Guard 1: "It's the Defense Minister's car." He stated at another guard as they came closer to the gate.

Iranian Guard 2: "Raise the banner!" He ordered with a wave of his hand.

The guards raised the banner, and saluted when the cars weave past them. Almost as soon the Autobots passed through the gate, Mirage transforms to robot mode and downs several guards.

Mirage: "Hahaha!" He laughed, whipping out his wrists blades as he cornered the guards. "On the ground, per favore!" He demanded, twirling his blades around. "And STAY THERE!"

Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Wheeljack activate their Stealth Force modes and they shoot up the guards and the illegal nuclear site is taken out of commission for good while the Autobots are also being careful not to damage anything dangerous, such as active nuclear-making machinery.

"We work in secret teams on various missions around the globe. And all the while, we search for signs of our true enemies' return."

(YN) and Colonel Lennox are right now walking into a government building in Kiev, Ukraine. The two of them have on black suits and ties to look dignified, as they are waiting for a representative of the General Counsel. Eventually, they meet up with the individual, all three of them up on the second floor of the building, within the shadows.

Voshkod: "I am Voshkod, General Counsel with Ukrainian Department of Energy." The began his explanation to the two Americans. "My government will officially deny that we are having this conversation."

(YN): "Very well." He acknowledged. "What do you wish to inform us about?"

Voshkod: "At one of our decommissioned facilities, a discovery was made, which I fear may be alien in nature." He continued. This got both Lennox and (YN)'s attention.

Lennox: "What is the designation of the facility?" The latter asked, now looking very serious.

Voshkod: "The facility's name is Chernobyl." He informed.

The next morning, a group of soldiers are standing outside of an abandoned facility of Chernobyl, the building looking like a relic of the Soviet Union. The fence looks to be rusted and old, the gate having a faded red/white colour scheme, while the buildings seem to be left abandoned. The town nearby looked to be frozen in time; belongings were scattered across the streets as cars from 1980s Soviet Union looked abandoned with the doors open and were starting to rust away overtime.

At this moment, a soldier notices something up ahead and approaching the facility. As it got closer, the soldier can see its a red/blue Peterbilt 379 truck with a silver trailer, as well as a white/green Hummer ambulance, and a red/white Masterbody Kenworth Pumper fire truck. They raise the gate, allowing the three vehicles to drive into the facility grounds.

Inside Optimus' cab at the driver's seat is (YN), Lennox riding shotgun alongside him. The two of them are in their combat gear attire, ready for action.

(YN): "Alright. Let's go in, find what we're looking for, then get back home." He spoke, arming his carbine.

Optimus: "Ratchet, Inferno, and I shall remain on standby in case." He on his radio. "Ratchet will also be ready in case of medical assistance."

Lennox: "Right. Voshkod should be up ahead." He added in.

Optimus, Ratchet, and Inferno drive up into the courtyard of the facility, and stop with a hiss of their brakes. Lennox and (YN), and their team all climb out of the three Autobots, armed and ready for action. There were also a few Russian AM General M-292s arriving on the scene as well, with Voshkod in his Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL Stretch Limousine, and walk up to them.

Lennox: "Mr. Voshkod." He greeted.

(YN): "Chernobyl. Sight of the worst nuclear disaster in the world in 1986." He sighed deeply. "I've read the stories about this place back in high school, but to see it up close... it looks... dreadful."

Lennox "I hear Chernobyl won't be habitable again for another 20,000 years?" He asked.

Voshkod: "At least." He sighed deeply. "Ukraine was the most fertile land. It's a tragedy."

(YN): "It was a disaster that shouldn't have happened." He then stated firmly.

Voshkod: "This way." He pointed over to a building.

(YN): "Gear up! We have about 60 minutes on the ground." He hollered to the soldiers. "Watch your radiation levels, and check on Energon readings."

As the NEST soldiers put on their radiation suits, some of them take out their handheld Energon scanners.

Lennox: "Mr. Voshkod, where's your protective gear?" He asked to Voshkod as they entered the building.

Voshkod: "It will not matter. For me, it is a matter of time." He then lead the soldiers on forth inside the facility. "Through the school. Yuri will take you below. And one other thing, Commander, there were some energy experiments." (YN) then noticed him staring at something up above and turned to see nothing there. "It can wait." He laughed nervously before leaving.

(YN): "Odd..." He muttered, before he gave the hand signal to the soldiers, then he and Lennox took the lead. "Alright. Keep moving in formation and stay tight." He ordered as they head on deeper into the facility.

Meanwhile, Optimus, Ratchet, and Inferno, all three of them who were still in their respective alt-modes, had begun scanning the area for anything unusual.

Optimus: "Ratchet, Inferno, did either of you find anything?" He inquired.

Ratchet: "Hard to tell, Optimus." He answered. "The radiation levels throughout the whole city and coming from the power plant is scrambling my sensors, so it's very hard to get an actual fix of what this human had found."

Inferno: "I'm getting the same thing as well." He added. "Whatever is it, I hope they find it."

Optimus: "Then all we can do is wait for Lennox and (YN)'s team to report on their findings." He stated. "However long it takes."

Back inside, several NEST soldiers are walking along a straight catwalk platform as carefully as possible. Lennox and (YN) began to approach the location of the energy spikes.

(YN): "Okay, it's gotta be here somewhere." He said, looking around.

Lennox: "(YN), I think we've found it, whatever this thing is." He informed.

(YN): "Optimus, we have a visual." He relayed, then joined with Lennox as he inspected the object in front of them.

It looked like some kind of metal sphere box with a glowing blue light inside, multiple connections connected to the sphere, and it seems to be hooked to the top and bottom of the huge structure it's inside of.

(YN): "Looks like whatever it is, it's housed in some kind of metal harness." He explained as he shone his flashlight at the object. He looked around, trying to piece everything together. "I think the power surge from this thing must've caused Reactor No.4 to explode, which led to the meltdown."

Lennox: "Hang on a minute. What the heck is this?" He stopped him as he spotted something else: several cases covered in dust. He gestured (YN) to the crates. (YN) kneeled down and wiped some of the dust and dirt off to reveal a red space logo.

(YN): "Why the hell does this crate have Soviet space program markings on it?" He questioned. Lennox kneeled down next to him and clears more dust away, revealing a circular symbol on it.

Lennox: "Sputnik?" He asked in confusion.

Suddenly, something shook the power plant. At first, nothing happened, but the shaking continued and the NEST soldiers were getting more nervous.

NEST Trooper: "Energon readings, sir!" He reported as the Energon detector started beeping. Then an unknown bellowing sound echo through the building, getting louder every second. "It's strong. Below us. It's coming fast." The rest of the NEST soldiers all raised their weapons.

Lennox: "How close is it?" He demanded.

With no warning, a humungous mechanical drill-like worm with four huge 9-foot metal tentacles with blades spinning around them bursts through the wall with a metallic screech and snarl and started destroying the room.

(YN) and the soldiers immediately start firing their guns at the alien drill which had no effect as it started to grab several soldiers. Various shouts and screams of dismay filled the room as the NEST soldiers tried to avoid the tentacles. One soldier pushed Lennox out of the way before getting impaled by one of the drills. Another drill spots the part and creates a claw before grabbing it and the massive drill started to head towards the surface.

(YN): "Shit! It's got the component!" He called out. "Optimus! Ratchet! Inferno! It's got the harness! It's heading your way." He radioed.

Lennox: "Get topside now!" He called out the soldiers. "Move, move, move!"

The surviving soldiers all began to run off and head back upstairs, their enemy now being the humongous robotic alien drill that just attacked them.

At the same time outside of the power plant as the worm-like beast is making a run for it, Optimus gives chase as the beast makes holes in the roofs of a nearby building.

Optimus: "A Driller!" He identified.

Ratchet[on Comms]: "If that beast is here, that can only mean one thing." He stated.

Optimus: "Shockwave." He deduced.

The name of Shockwave brought dread, grief, and fear to the sparks of the three Autobots, as Shockwave was the only Cybertronian who was considered to be an equal to Megatron in terms of strength and fighting prowess, except for Optimus. At the same time, however, Shockwave was extremely dangerous, having spent millions of years combining his raw power with ruthless logic in a fight. And sadly, Shockwave was the one responsible for the deaths of many humans on Earth and Autobots back on Cybertron.

Optimus: "Ratchet, Inferno, when we reach Lennox and (YN)'s team, stay with them while I'll deal with the beast." He ordered.

Ratchet/Inferno[on Comms]: "Understood./Will do." They replied.

The soldiers scramble to find more heavier weapons because there is no way their assault rifles will do any kind of damage to the alien driller. Optimus floors his accelerator, his engine roaring oddly while simultaneously scanning for their human allies. At last, his audio receptors picked up Lennox and (YN)'s voice up ahead, calling his name as they and their men fled the power plant, followed by Russian soldiers as well.

Optimus: "Hang on! Help is on the way!" He called out.

Suddenly, the driller breaks out right in front of Optimus and he did not have the time to stop and collides with it, causing him to transform while flipping in the air, grunting before crashing to the ground with a thud. Optimus' battle mask forms up, as his trailer suddenly transforms into his personal armoury with all of his weapons inside along with his flight parts out and ready for action.

Lennox: "Weapons up!" He exclaimed. "Heavy weapons up!"

Then they saw Ratchet and Inferno driving up to them and transformed into their robot modes, and ready their weapons. The new Autobot, Inferno was 22 feet tall, with a bright red color scheme with little white colored parts on his shins and shoulders. His chestplate is made from his vehicle mode, his shoulders are formed from top cab, and rear wheels are located on the outer knees.

Inferno: "This way!" He urged the humans, drawing out his pyro-fusion Energon sub-machine pistol.

Optimus: "Stay behind me!" He shouted, running towards his weapons, grabbing a Energon sword and shield and charged in.

(YN) and Lennox's team manages to rendezvous with Ratchet and Inferno, thereby giving Optimus the space he needs to help fight off the Driller.

Lennox: "Optimus!" He called out. Suddenly, multiple tentacles attacked the soldiers, including the one holding the harness. "Fall back! It's circling all around us!" He called out again.

On the other hand, Ratchet was doing fine, using his Energon Multi-Beam Machine Gun to push the tentacles away. But unfortunately, the tentacles attacking in different directions caused Ratchet to get further away from the humans.

Inferno fires at the tentacles in every direction while making sure not to hit any friendlies, even deploying his flamethrower on his right arm, unleashing a jet of fiery plasma. But then, the Driller manages to knock him aside and keep him slightly pinned down.

(YN) runs off in a different direction and fired his carbine at the Driller, then fired a grenade at one of its tentacles. That got the Driller's attention. (YN) runs off, firing his carbine as the Driller draws near. One of the tentacles knocked (YN) to the ground. Fortunately, he gets to his feet, opening fire at the tentacles.

Suddenly the tentacle that had grabbed the harness appeared, attacking the humans. Optimus jumped high over the drill and uses his Energon Sword to slice it off. As the tentacle part landed on the ground, it released the harness as it falls to the ground.

(YN): "Securing the target." He called out as he grabbed it before it gets stolen again.

The alien driller suddenly stopped its attack, as it opened a section on its back like a door, allowing a Cybertronian to step out and reveal itself to everyone.

This Cybertronian stands 40ft tall, with a black and grey colour scheme. He has a broad chest with a predominantly ribcage-like piece, which goes down to his torso, while the arms legs are thickly armored and very bulky, and three, massive, red pillars on his back. He has one left silver hand with a thick blade covered in symbols on his wrist and one right arm that is a long barrel cannon, which has an ammunition belt attached from his back to his cannon. The most unnerving thing about this Cybertronian is the single red optic that takes up the entire facial plate of the rounded head that had two small horns, which stick forward on his head and possesses a mouth, which has multiple teeth. It was none other than Shockwave.

Shockwave: "Optimus..." He spoke in a dark yet calculating voice.

Optimus gets into a defensive stance, yelling in anger and protecting (YN). Lennox and the soldiers start to get back up as they could see Optimus charged towards Shockwave. But instead, Shockwave disappeared underground with the Driller, fleeling from the fight.

Optimus stares at the scene in anger and confusion before returning to Ratchet, Inferno, and the NEST soldiers.

Ratchet: "Optimus, are you alright?" He asked.

Optimus: "I am fine, Ratchet." He replied. "(YN), Lennox, how are you and your men?" (YN) just nodded while Lennox was still staring at the spot that Shockwave was standing.

Lennox: "What the hell was that thing?" He asked out.

(YN): "Optimus... " He looked up at Optimus. "Was that...?"

Optimus: "Yes." He nodded. "That... is Shockwave." He answered, walking towards the device while throwing his sword to the ground.

Inferno: "The Decepticon Assassin." He added.

Lennox: "And why was he after this?" He quizzed, looking at the harness. Optimus walked with (YN), putting down his shield and examined what's inside the harness.

Optimus: "It's impossible." He muttered out, optics widened in shock. He then kneeled down to get a closer look. "This is an engine part, from a long lost Autobot ship."

(YN): "A Ship?" He wondered in curiosity.

Shortly after, the team began to recollect their gear and evaluated the damage around, and they began to look for Voshkod.

Meanwhile, a vulture-like Decepticon named Laserbeak watched General Voshkod scrambling to his car with fear in his eyes from hid hiding spot. Voshkod looked around to see if the Decepticon he saw back at the power plant was still watching him. With the Decepticon nowhere in sight, Voshkod frantically tried to start the car to get away from here.

Squawking, Laserbeak flew from his hiding spot straight towards Voshkod's car, shooting at the front part of the vehicle. Once he was done, he landed on its hood to take a peek through the bullet hole of the windshield and was delighted to see the body of Voshkod laying against the steering wheel.

Laserbeak: "Pleasure working with you." He remarked wickedly, yet sarcastically, and flew off.

By the time NEST team found Voshkod, he was already dead. This left them wondering: somebody didn't want Voshkod to say something.... But the question is who, what, and why?
