"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'SHE DIDNT MAKE IT'. WHY DIDN'T YOU CHECK BEFORE YOU CLOSED THE GROUNDBRIDGE!?" Smokescreen yelled at everyone. "Smokescreen, would you please calm down And lay back on the med-berth so I can fix you up!" Ratchet scolded. "NO! Ratchet I'm fine! We need to get back on the Nemesis and find Sky!" He commanded.

Smokescreen hobbled towards the lever which activated the groundbridge, clutching his side. It ached from repeated jabs of energon prods. But he had to save her, just as she had saved him.

Arcee ran in front of Smokescreen before he reached the lever placing both her servos up in front of him. "Smokescreen, you're not thinking straight. You're injured, going back onto the Nemesis is suicide!" She shouted at him. "No! Arcee get out of my way!" He demanded.

He shoved Arcee out of his way.  She stumbled backwards. Bumblebee and Bulkhead then ran up and held back Smokescreen. "Smoke, calm down!" Bulkhead exclaimed while pulling Smokescreen back, while Bumblebee pushed him from the front. "Argh- Let me go!" Smokescreen yelled, thrashing about in the 'Bots grips.

Ratchet snuck up behind Smokescreen and jabbed a needle in him, injecting a fluid that would make him temporarily unconscious. He fell backwards, Bulkhead catching him.

"Bring him back on the med-berth." Ratchet instructed. Bulkhead did as told, lifting Smoke onto the med-berth. Ratchet quickly got to work on Smokescreens wounds, knowing that that serum would not keep him stable for long.

Smokescreens POV

Location: Autobot Base

"Ughhh, what the frag happened?" I groaned as I onlined, finding myself on my berth. I swung my legs around sitting upright. I winced and grabbed my side as I tried to stand up.

I staggered towards the door, only to find the one and only, Optimus Prime.

"Optimus I hate to go against your command, but I need to get back out there and help her." I sighed. "I partly understand your desire to help Skyfrost, but I do not understand your motive that is making you so reckless and eager to get to her." He calmly said, though it was more of a question. "I- I can't explain it I just need to get to her, please Optimus." I pleaded.

I walked forward but Optimus moved his servo in front of my chassis, stopping me in my tracks. I looked up at him and knew I was never going to leave my berthroom unless I told him.

"Ok, ok ok ok. Sky and I have been- we're um. You see uhh, you know when humans like show affection to one another. . . Um , how do I-" I started but was cut off. "Smokescreen, I understand. Thankyou for telling me. While you were resting, we scanned for Skyfrost's signal, I believe we have found it." He explained. I was jumping for joy inside, finally. I'm coming Sky, I'm coming.

We made our way to the main room where everyone was waiting patiently. "I have a weak signal on Skyfrost, but it's strong enough and it's all we've got." Ratchet started. "It'll be a risk though. Going back onto the Nemesis." He continued.

"It's a risk I'm willing to take."

Nightstar's POV

Location: Nemesis

We walked through so many hallways, I haven't been on the Nemesis in so long I almost lost my way. I was granted time to rest in my old berthroom. . . before having to answer to Megatron. Apart of me wanted Smokescreen to just appear out of nowhere and save me, before I have to speak to Megatron.

But I'm a Decepticon and he's an Autobot. It'll never happen. Besides, he's safe now. I don't want him coming back and risking his spark, for a cold hearted Decepticon like me.

The doors to my berthroom opened. . . I prayed to Primus it wasn't Megatron. Apparently he heard me.

"Wanna help me out in the lab? Give you something to do." Knockout kindly asked. I sighed in relief and joined him in walking down the cold, grey walls of the warship.

I hadn't walked through these hallways in so long I almost forgot how soulless and emotionless these walls are.

We reached the lab and inside, Breakdown was cleaning some equipment. I looked to the left and saw some injured vehicons.

"Can you grab the surgical instruments and we can get started on fixing their wounds." Knockout asked. I went and did as he asked. 'OH I have to show Knockout my alternate mode!' I cheered inside realising I had some news for my automobile enthusiast friend.

"Hey Knockout!" I called.

"Yes?"

"Check it!" I smirked as I transformed to my alternate ground mode. Revving my engine. I saw Knockout stand there, his jaw dropped in awe. "Hehe, you like?" I asked. No reply.

There was silence until I heard Knockout start clapping. "VERY NICE!!" He praised, amused. I transformed back to my bipedal mode, smirking. We got back to work while chatting the time away.

"NIGHTSTAR REPORT TO THE COMMUNICATIONS HUB IMMEDIATELY!" Megatron yelled throughout the speakers surrounding the ship.

"Bye guys. See you soon. . . Maybe." I sighed as I started for the door. "Bye Night! Be safe." Knockout said before both Knockout and Breakdown waved to me.

I headed towards the communications hub thinking up some believable lies I could tell Lord Megatron. Honestly I had nothing new to tell him! And for that I will certainly be punished.

I entered. "Nightstar, I believe it is time to share your delightful information that you have retrieved." He said deviously. "I do hope you have the files I ordered you to retrieve!" He scowled. As he stalked towards me. "Um my Liege. . ."

General Narration
Location: Nemesis

The Autobots ground bridged onto the Nemesis. Smokescreen ignored his injuries, the only thing on his mind being Sky.

"We will run the same plan we used when rescuing Smokescreen. Arcee and Bumblebee take the right wing, Bulkhead and Smokscreen move on the left wing. I will go forward. If Skyfrost is found report back and meet here." Optimus laid out the orders. And then they moved out.

Smokescreen ran, leading Bulkhead to where he had been kept and tortured. The doors opened, no one inside, no one. 'Scrap! Sky where are you?!' Smoke thought to himself.

"We'll keep searching the left wing, C'mon." Bulk said. They ran down heading to the front of the ship. Checking all the rooms, offlining any vehicons they came across.

They finally met with Optimus and the others at the very front. The only sounds they could hear in the silence was metal clashing with metal and cries of pain.

The voice all too familiar to Smokescreen. "That's Sky!!" Smokescreen quietly yelled at his leader.

They moved forward, the doors opening sensing their forms approaching.

"HOW DARE YOU NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION! YOU WILL TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!!" Megatron yelled with another whack to Nightstar, sending her flying into the wall that was next to the door.

"SKY!!" Smokescreen yelled out. Pain written all over both their faceplates. He ran over to her. While the others engaged with Megatron, Soundwave, who was preoccupied with his computers turned to assist his Master.

"Sky talk to me!" Smoke exasperatedly pleaded. "S-smoke?" She croaked. Smokescreen helped her up, only to be shot back my Megatron's blast.

"Agh!" Smokescreen cried as he slammed into the wall. "No. . ." Skyfrost whispered to herself. "He isn't meant to be here, he's gonna get hurt." She said worriedly to herself.

Trying to protect Smokescreen, Sky transformed her servo into her blaster her other servo clasping her stomach. She shot at Megatron. He gave her a death glare. She froze. So many emotions and feelings, pain, fear, agony, confusion.

By now Knockout, Breakdown, Airachnid and Starscream had been called in to help their Master.

One of Soundwaves tentacles came towards Skyfrost. She grabbed her blade from her back and blocked efficiently. She fought the arm for awhile until it retreated back to Soundwave.

She huffed tiredly watching her Autobot allies fight her Decepticon allies. Optimus made the final blow knocking Megatron back on his knees. 'Thank you Optimus. Suck it Megatron!' She thought bitterly, currently hating Megatron for the pain he had inflicted on her.

"Autobots retreat!" Optimus ordered. Everyone ran out, except Skyfrost, she kinda hobbled. Smoke was behind her, running up and scooping her up, bridal style. Shocked from the sudden action she held on tight to Smokescreen, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Optimus had contacted Ratchet and a ground bridge appeared a short distance away. Each Autobot ran through, into a random desert.

"Uhh with all due respect Optimus, what the frag are we doing in this random desert?! Sky needs medical attention!" Smoke snapped, still carrying Skyfrost. She'd fallen asleep in his comfortable hold, weak from the past events, her head resting on his chassis.

"I told Ratchet to ground bridge us to a deserted desert in case we were followed by any Decepticons considering we were in such close proximity. If we had gone back to base, a Decepticon could have followed and revealed our bases location." Optimus answered calmly. Smoke simply nodded, regret in his optics. "Sorry Optimus." He said sadly. Optimus showed a small smile to the young mech, understanding his concern.

They all ground bridged back to base. Ratchet immediately got to work on Skyfrost. Closing wounds and giving her doses of energon through needles.

Hours passed by and Smokescreen never left Skyfrosts side. Bumblebee had been badly injured by Knockout and also needed medical attention. So Sky was taken to her berthroom by Smokescreen to rest there while Bee occupied the med-berth.

Smoke waited patiently for Sky to online and speak to him. He was tired and needed recharge, he laid back in the chair and rested his optics for a few minutes.

Minutes later he heard a small squeak. He instantly opened his optics and jumped to Skyfrosts side. She slowly opened her optics seeing Smokescreen hovering above her.

"Sky?" Smoke asked, full of hope.

"Smoke?" She asked, her vision still blurry.

"Oh thank the AllSpark you're ok!" He cried as he lightly hugged her. Though, it was not returned.

"Sky? You uh. . . You ok?" He asked, his tone slightly laced with fear. Sky had regained her vision by now and 80% of her strength from her extremely long recharge. She was as good as new.

She stood up making Smokescreen have to back up giving her space to stand. Her faceplate showed nothing but slight anger and. . .  worry?

"What were you thinking?" She asked quietly, barley a whisper. "Wh-what do you mean?" He asked, confused. "Why would you come back for me?! You almost lost your own spark and barley 30 minutes later you decide you need to race back onto the Nemesis!" She shouted.

"I came back for you!" He said, raising his voice slightly. "Smoke! I can take care of myself." She retorted. "Well obviously not!" He snapped back, gesturing to your almost-healed wounds.

"Well I was going to escape when I was given the chance! You got strapped to a med-berth! I don't think you did any better than I did!" She yelled at him, both their sparks slowly breaking.

"You know what you-" before she could finish her sentence Smokescreens servo made contact with her check. She stumbled back falling to the floor, raising a servo to her stinging check. Fluid threatening to pour from her optics. She stared at him, pain, betrayal, hurt, all across her faceplate and in her optics.

Reality finally slapped Smokescreen in the face and he realised what he just did. His optics widened. "Skyfrost! I'm sorry I-" he started and was about to help Sky up but she whacked his hand away stopping him mid sentence. "Don't! Go away, leave me alone!" She cried, fluid already staining her cheeks.

She ran out of her berthroom and into the main room, thank the AllSpark everyone was in their berthrooms. She the left the base. Once outside she just stood there for a while, wiped her tears away and transformed and flew off.

She could see Smokescreen at the exit of the base. He fell to his knees and started crying in his servos.

"Great Smokescreen, you've done it this time." He cried to himself.
