General Narration
The Autobots had been on many missions since Skyfrost's arrival, though when Skyfrost was given the opportunity to go on a mission, they were simple energon hunting missions, where she didn't get to see her old friends.
Optimus hesitated to send her out on real missions where they came face to face with the Decepticons because she was a 'rookie'. Or so she is in the story that she gave them.
Though her stay with the Autobots hasn't been entirely boring and useless. She has made new friendships and has grown quite fond of a certain 'Bot. But when she returned to her berthroom at night it slightly broke her spark when reality kicked back in and she realised that she was a 'Con and that this was all one, big, charade.
Skyfrost's POV
I had spent a bit of time in my berthroom alone. And decided it was finally time to come out before anyone got suspicious. I walked out into the main room, only to find every 'Bot in there.
"Frost you're awake!" Bulkhead called out announcing my arrival to everyone. "Skyfrost, you are to go with Smokescreen to search for energon." Optimus commanded. 'Yes, yes the usual, HOW could I forget?!'
I walked towards Smoke with a smile on my faceplate and we both walked through the ground bridge.
"Hey Sky?" Smoke asked.
"Yeh Smoke?"
"There isn't exactly an energon mine in front of us, and we're just searching for any random mines with this detector." He explained.
"Yeh. . .?" I said, wondering where he was going with this.
"So, you know I was just thinking we could use this time away from the others to get to know each other more. I mean- if you want to of course!" He said, seeming to instantly regret saying it.
I couldn't help but smile at him, I liked Smokescreen. "Of course." I said simply.
After hours of searching with the detector and small chit-chat and checking in with Optimus to assure him we were fine. We decided to sit at the top of the cliff and speak some more.
We reached the top and I sat down, Smoke sat next to me.
"Sooo, random question. You got any siblings?" He asked. "Oh um sorta." I replied back, my spark aching at the current topic. Smoke noticed. "Oh Sky! I'm sorry I-" "No. It's ok, you couldn't have known it's ok." I reassured him. "I had an older brother, Nightblade. He was the best." I described my brother to him for a while, and he listened to every word.
"But. . . he used to tell me he was doing good and fighting for Cybertron. And one day. . . the bond i shared with my brother. . . it just, shattered. I lost the bond and I knew what that meant." I explained, fluid filled my optics, I couldn't help it.
Starting off slowly, but getting faster, the fluid ran down my faceplate.
I felt an arm wrap around me. I tensed up, not familiar with the current type of contact.
But as Smoke's arm lingered on my shoulder, the contact felt more and more securing and protective. I leaned into him. Resting my helm on his chassis.
My tears slowed down as I leant into Smokescreen. I don't know how long we sat up there, but the silence was comfortable.
After Smokscreen felt me calm down, he spoke again. "I had siblings." He said. "Really?" I asked. "Yeh, two brothers. Bluestreak and Prowl. I'm not sure where they are or if they're even online." He said quietly. "I'm sorry." I said sympathetically. He hugged me tighter.
After a while longer, Smoke gently gabbed my shoulders and pulled me up so that I was facing him in the optics while we sat on the cliff.
"Smoke?" I asked curiously. "Sky, I know I haven't known you for a GREAT amount of time, but the time that I have spent with you I've used to get to know you more." He said to me, looking at the ground every now and then. "Mhmm" I said, wanting know where this was going, I don't like not knowing things.
"And I feel like now is a good time to tell you that, I- um, I li-..." He sighed. "I like you. A lot." He said right into my optics. I stared blankly at him, not knowing what to do or say. Without a single thought going through my processor, I put a hand behind his helm and crashed my lips onto his.
He seemed shocked at first but returned the kiss nonetheless. He wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer.
He laid down on his back pulling me down with him. We kissed passionately for a while, until we both simultaneously pulled away.
I didn't know what to say or do!
"Smoke-" I started.
"Don't tell the others ok!" He said desperately.
"Ok ok ok don't worry." I chuckled lightly.
He smiled at me before sitting back up and pulling me into a hug. He then spoke to Optimus through the com-link, asking for a bridge.
It opened behind us and we walked in, acting as if nothing had happened.
"Any traces of energon?" Ratchet asked sounding a little desperate, but still holding onto hope. "No, sorry 'Rach." Smokescreen said, equally as sad as when Ratchet had asked his question. We all sighed in unison.
We both walked down the hall, all the way to my berthroom.
I walked in and Smokescreen followed me.
"Um, are you gonna go to your berthroom for recharge? We were basically out all day." I questioned, as he was already in my berthroom. "Can I...can I stay with you tonight?" He asked shyly. I smiled at him, "Of course Smoke." I said before he laid on my berth, I laid right beside him. He slowly slipped his hand around my waist, making me feel protected and secure. I smiled throughout my entire recharge.
General Narration
Location: Autobot Base
"NIGHTSTAR!!!!!" Rang though Skyfrost's Decepticon com-link.
She almost fell of the berth, she checked her internal clock. 3:39am!
"Yes Lord Megatron!" She said, before realising she was in the same room as an Autobot!
She crept out of her berthroom leaving Smokescreen in peace and crept out of base.
Once she reached the fresh open air, she transformed into her flight mode and took off.
"Nightstar! I want you to report to the Nemesis! Right away!" Megatron commanded. "Yes Sire!" She obeyed.
A few minutes later, flying at top speed, Nightstar reached the Nemesis, landing on the flight deck.
She made her way towards the communications hub.
---------
Knockout was finishing up with some injured Vehicons and left his lab to grab himself a well deserved energon cube from below. Little did he know he would a have a pleasant reunion along the way.
Not looking where he was going, he turned a corner and slammed right into Nightstar.
"Would you PLEASE look where you're going ne-" Knockout yelled out annoyed until his optics fell on his old companion.
"Nightstar!" He cried and quickly embraced her. She returned the hug tightly, not wanting to let go.
"Knockout it's so good to see you!" Nightstar said, relieve pouring out in her voice.
"What're you doing here?! You'll blow your cover!" He asked worriedly.
"Lord Megatron summoned me." She explained. "Where's Starscream? I'll quickly say hi before I have to leave again." She asked.
"Should be in his quarters." He replied back.
"Thanks K.O." She thanked him, using his old nickname. He smiled back and with one last hug, wished her luck and continued with his business.
Nightstar walked down the hallways to Starscreams quarters and knocked on the door.
"Leave me!" Starscream yelled out, not knowing who it was, assuming it was simply Knockout or a Vehicon.
"I don't think you'll wanna send me away, Screamy." Nightstar said with a smirk, knowing the use of his nickname would give herself away.
Instantly the door flew open revealing a disbelieving Starscream.
"Nightstar!!!" he yelled as he embraced Nightstar. "You're back!" "Temporarily." She told him. Before noticing the scratches and dents in him.
"Starscream! What happened?!" She asked concerned. "Megatron. That's what. I didn't even DO anything this time! No scheming, NOTHING!" He yelled.
Nightstar frowned at Megatrons cruelty. He'd done some damage to poor Starscream. "I'll see if I can talk to him." She said. "No! You'll get hurt! just don't, I'm fine." He pleaded. "Starscream, if he wants me to keep up the charade with the Autobots he can't harm me. But thankyou for your concern." She reassured him. "Thankyou Nightstar." They smiled and embraced each other before she left him.
She entered the communications hub, to find her old master with his back to her.
"Ahhh Nightstar!" He called out seeming pleased as he turned to face her. "My liege, you summoned me?" She asked with loyalty.
"Yes, yes I did. I feel that you have spent a great amount of time with the Autobots and I am in great need of some leverage." He explained, evilly.
"Well um, My Liege, I have not been allowed on the field, I have been cooped up and do not know their fighting techniques and weaknesses." Nightstar explained, wanting to return to Smokescreens safe and securing arms.
"Well Nightstar, why is that?" He asked displeased. "Sire, the Prime believes that I am unable to defend myself on the field as I've made myself to look like a rookie in the fake backstory I gave them." She told him. "Hmmm perhaps we will have to devise a plan in order for you to gain more trust and reliability with Optimus." He devised. "Perhaps my liege." She said back.
He thought to himself for a while before finally speaking. "We shall kidnap one of the Autobots and you will come to the Nemesis to rescue them. We will keep the Nemesis low and visible so they cannot question how you found us." He ordered. "I understand Lord Megatron." She obliged. "You may leave, don't want to blow your cover now do we? Oh and Nightstar, download the files on their computers, I could use there information on the iacon relics or anything else that would prove to be useful." He said before Nightstar bowed and left the Nemesis.
She took off towards the flight deck, once she reached it she turned around and silently bid farewell to Knockout and Starscream.
She back flipped off to Nemesis and freefell towards the Earth, once coming in close proximity to the ground she transformed and flew towards the base.
She entered through the tunnel leading to the base, and found Optimus at the computers. 'Crap I'm busted! Think. Think. Think!' She thought to herself. "Nightstar what were you doing outside of base so early?" Prime asked as he turned from the screens to face her. "Oh, I just wanted to go for a flight, I know its early but I wanted to get my flight in for the day knowing that we've probably got a lot of mission ahead of us and I may have not found the time to take a relaxing flight. Sorry if I caused any concern or woke you." She carefully explained, trying her hardest to stay calm. "No that is quite fine, and no you did not wake me." He replied back shortly returning m=back to the screens.
Nightstar headed back to her berthroom hoping she could get a little more recharge before having to get up again. She reached her berthroom and couldn't help but release a huge breath of relief. She slowly made her way to her berth, where Smokescreen lay peacefully.
She looked at him sleeping, so peacefully, so innocent. She didn't want to disturb him so she decided to go to her desk and check out the datapads in the corner. She wasn't the biggest fan of reading and researching but if she had to she would.
Skyfrost's POV
Just as I was about to sit down, an all too familiar voice called my name.
"Sky?" Smoke called sleepily.
"Yeh Smoke?" I asked back.
"What're you doing up? It's like, 4:30am." He questioned, more awake now.
"I waned to go for a flight, so I went out early and flew just in case I didn't have time to later on, you know, with all the missions." I answered.
He got up from the berth and walked over to me, with a smirk on his face. He wrapped his arms around my waist, "Am I really that annoying that you have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to get a break from me?" He joked. I chuckled at his sense of humour.
Unexpectedly, he pulled me towards him and he planted his lips on mine. I closed my optics and wrapped my arms around his neck. Before I knew it he picked me up and carried me towards my berth, then laid me down, with him on top. He propped himself up with one of his arms, his other arm was either holding my helm or around my waist. I wasn't entirely sure what was happening as this was the first time I've ever done this, but, it felt good.
We continued like that for a while until we were both tired and went back to recharge. With me on top of him, my helm resting on his chassis.
We were awoken by a sudden BANG on my door. I fell off Smokescreen and he awoke as soon as he heard me crash on the floor. I jumped up and placed my servo across Smokecreen's mouth. I placed a servo to my own lips indicating for him to be quiet. I got up and answered the door.
"Hey Frost!" Bulkhead greeted, quite loudly.
"Morning, Bulkhead." I said as I winced at the volume of his voice.
"Boss wants us all at the main room ok?" He explained.
"Be right there." I said while yawning.
"Ok." He walked away. "OH! Can you wake up Smokescreen and tell him he's gotta be there as well?"
"Will do!" I called back at him.
The door shut and I turned back to see Smokescreen behind me. "One more before I have to leave?" He asked looking like a little kid. I smiled at him and pulled myself up to him and kissed him before leaving my berthroom.
