It was late. Very late. The security systems were on high alert. On Cybertron keeps such things on high alert were very important. Especially during this time. The war began not too long ago. Many joined to the Autobots after the Decepticons uprising. The Autobots were low on number. They knew that. They became family the more they fought. They had each others back. But they didn't trust enough to keep the security down that's for sure. The second in command of the Autobots was making his way outside. He rarely did anything outside actually. The doorwinger usually was inside, at his desk, doing paperwork. He loved doing that. It was his hobby now. Other than killing cons of course. He was a lonely mech really. So that's why on rare occasions he'd leave his office and see the outside. He only had his brother, Smokescreen. But he wasn't about to bunbarden him tonight. The mech sighed as he looked at the skies. Cybertron wasn't what it used to be. He could see the smoke trails left in the skies from an hour ago battle. The mech kept walking with a shaking helm. He wouldn't think of that. Tonight he's just going relax and enjoy some peace while he had it. The second in command left the base and began making a patrol around the perimeter. Since he had nothing better to do then to clear his mind anyway. The mech kept a focused gaze as he watched his surroundings. His doorwings were stiff as he felt like something was off but...that wasn't good enough. No. He was based on logic. And following a gut feel wasn't logical. He needed evidence. The mech paused in his walking. Then he had his evidence. It happened so fast that he almost blinked. The mech was reeled back and a knife was pressed to his throat cables. The mech immediately grabbed the intruder and flipped him onto his back on the ground. The hostile only laughed and jumped to his pedes. The second in command took the mech before him in. He was a slender mech. Silver and black. He had mostly claws for hands and he was very small. But no that wasn't what caught him off gaurd...it was a glowing blue visor. The doorwinger frowned.
"Ya just gonna stand 'er? Or we gonna have ah dance?" The small mech asked smoothly. The doorwinger blew his question off and merely gave a look of 'try me'. The small mech shrugged. "Such ah gentlemech. Ah like to go first anyway." He grinned and ran toward him. The Autobot grabbed his arm and twisted it around the smaller mech. The mech snarled and jerked his arm out and delivered a kick to the doorwinger. He stumbled back and seemed suprised that the small mech had that much force. The doorwinger regained his balance and threw a couple of blows. The small mech managed to dodge at his advantage of being small and quick. The doorwingers face grew more stern. The small mech noticed and chuckled. "Don't like losin' do ya?" The Autobot said nothing but threw a punch. The small mech grabbed his wrist and swung him into the fence. The doorwinger groaned quietly.
"How did you find us?" The Autobot asked with a grunt as the small mech pressed his face into the fence with his pede.
"Easy measy. You autobots keep yourself open." He grinned. The doorwinger managed to kick back and him and the small mech stumbled and fell. The doorwinger got to his pedes and pinned the smaller mech before he got up again. The smaller mech only grinned. "If ya gonna kill meh I'd at least like to know yor name." He said casually.
"Prowl." He said lowly. "And I'm not going to kill you."
"Cool. Names Jazz. And that's great and all but...why? Why aren't you going to kill meh?" Jazz tilted his helm. Prowl studied him for a moment. Wasn't it obvious? Well...he was a con after all. He'd never understand the Autobot way.
"Because I'm taking you in."
"Prisoner?" Jazz groaned. "Man you autobots are soft." He grumbled.
"It's amazing how you think we'd let you have the easy way out after you attacked a second in command." Prowl stated with a raised optic ridge. Jazz squirmed under his grip. Prowl pressed his blaster to Jazz's helm.
"You wouldn't. Ya just said ya wouldn't!" Jazz laughed. Prowl powered up the blaster.
"If you don't cooperate I will." Prowl narrowed his optics. Jazz snorted.
"Yeah right. Ya don't think ah know a bluff when ah see one?"
"Who are you?"
"Oh this is an interrogation now is it?" Jazz snorted. Prowl wasn't amused.
"Answer me."
"Ah just told you. I'm Jazz."
"No. Who are you? Not, 'what's your name'?" Prowl told him firmly. Jazz huffed.
"Ya one stubborn mech ya know dat?"
"So I've been told. Answer the question." Prowl pressed the blaster harder against Jazz's helm. Jazz shrugged, his helm pressing back into the ground.
"Just a con." He said simply.
"I don't believe that."
"Aw, are you complimenting me?"
"Hardly. You're not just a con. Are you?"
Jazz grinned up at the mech.
"Shhh. Dat's ah secret."
