Cody's P.O.V.

'Today was going to be awesome!' thought the excited blonde as he ran out of his room.

The Burns and the Greene families were having a picnic at Blossom Vale! Cody was excited to see Frankie.

He had been cooped up in his room for so long! So the young boy sprinted down the stairs.

He halted because of a rather bad cough; His lungs hurt and he became really dizzy. Cody shook his head... He will not be ripped from this moment from a simple cold! He grabbed a few cough drops and plopped one in his mouth.

He started to go down the fire pole. Weird... He had never been dizzy through heights before. After a few seconds his feet touched the ground.

Cody walked a little bit until he reached the familiar police car.

"Come on Cody. We don't want to be late." His father said as Cody jumped in, and Chase headed out to the picnic.

After a few short minutes the families were together, and they were quite excited. Cody and Frankie talked about almost everything that happened when they weren't together.

The food was quickly set up and the families were excitedly chatting and eating.

"Hey dad, Frankie and I are finished eating. Can we go walk around for a bit?" Cody said as they put the paper plates in the trash.

"Of course, but stay safe and together." The father returned to eating and the kids walked into the forest.

They traveled for a bit and enjoyed the scenery... Then Cody started coughing.

The blonde boy had either forgotten his cough drops at the picnic, or they fell out of his pocket.

"Do you have a bug in your throat Cody?" Joked the smart girl, "Or just swallowed wrong?"

Cody was going to give a reply... But he was coughing too hard.

"Oh my! Are you ok? We need to head back!" Frankie grabs his arm and pulls him back the way to the site.

Cody stopped coughing long enough to say, "I'm fine Frankie, you don't need to drag me!"

After a few long minutes Cody's vision seemed darker, and he felt the color from his face leave.

Frankie's P.O.V. 

Cody's coughing scared Frankie. She had a feeling that his coughing was painful and needed to be checked out.

She looked back at the blonde and her eyes widened. The boy was swaying and pale. Cody fell and slipped out of her grasp; Hitting his head on a rough rock that created a cut.

"CODY!" Frankie yelled as she looked over her fainted friend...

She froze, they were friends... Why was she acting like this was the end of the world. She knew he had been in danger before and he got through it fine. She would get him back to the picnic... No big deal.

She grabbed his arms and tried to drag Cody, but it wasn't as effective as she wanted it to be.

"Cody please wake up. I can't get you back home, I need your help. I also miss you a lot when you are like this... I care for you deeply and I don't want my future spent without you." Tears started to form over her eyes as she kneeled down to look at him.

A voice broke her out of her thoughts, "Frankie! Cody! Where are you?"

They must be closer to the picnic than she thought. She felt her cheeks heat up from embarrassment, why didn't she look before she spilled her feelings out.

"Chief! We are here! Cody needs help!" She yelled out into the trees and the families appeared.

Now she knew it would be alright...
