P.S. Bat appreciation day was April 17th and I love bats. I appreciate you bats! And also May the fourth be with you.

It was a dark and stormy night. Deputy Barney was asleep on his watch, and his small snores were drowned out by the wind.

A small, but red lipped, smile filled the face of the prisoner... As she escaped.

Cody's P.O.V.

Blossom Vale was filled with music, laughter, and the smell of good food. The festival of Blossom Vale's founding was a great time where families come together to eat on the sunny day.

The Burns' picnic area, which rested next to the Green family, was filled with many different meats, vegetables, fruits, and desserts... And whatever that brown gloop, made by Dani, is.

As Cody's family sat down, the Bots walked around as the children played around them. Cody couldn't stifle a giggle at the sight.

"Alright Burns family. Let's eat!" Cody's father called out to his brothers and sister as they came over.

After a few minutes of eating and chatting the family started splitting up. Kade with Hayley, Graham with Amy, Dani with Taylor, Chief with Doctor Green, and Cody with Frankie.

Cody set his drink down on a smooth stone by the forest's edge as he spoke with Frankie.

"How has your new invention been going?" Cody asked the young scientist.

"It's been going fine, but I've been stuck at a certain place. So I decided to have a scientist pen-pal! We can collaborate on certain projects!" Frankie answered with a twinkle in her eye.

"That sounds cool! Maybe they will come to Griffin Rock." Cody suggested to his best friend as they watched the children play...

Little did they know that a shadowy figure poured something into Cody's drink... And Cody took a sip...

Frankie started to migrate to Hayley's side to learn about the flora in Blossom Vale...

Cody sat down after feeling a bit nauseous. His head started to hurt and he became dizzy. Cody placed his hands on his head, but he couldn't make the pain go away. Once he moved his hands away his vision was fuzzy... And he passed out.

????????'s P.O.V.

The little Burns wasn't quite hard to separate from his family. They were all so busy with friends and other family to notice the unconscious Cody and the shadowy figure carrying him.

The poison worked as fast as advertised from that guard, and the boy was an easy target. The chief would pay for what he did... And he would do so with his boy's life...

Cody's P.O.V.

Pain throbbed through his body as he woke up. His eyelids and limbs felt like lead as his sore, cramped muscles screamed at him.

Cody held his head as he sat up... And banged it on the low ceiling. Cody's eyes snapped to see his predicament. Metal bars surrounded him... it was a small cage. He had also felt it sway back and forth... Oh no.

Cody turned his head and below him... Was lava! The cage swung as the confused and panicked boy tried to move.

"I wouldn't loosen up that cage if I were you." Stated a cold female's voice, "It would be most unfortunate."

"No way. Madeline Pynch?!?!" Cody exclaimed as his eyes widened in horror.

She only gave a cruel smile...

Kade's P.O.V.

"Are you kidding me! If he's kidnapped again..." Kade fumed in anger.

"Kade, calm down. He might just be at the Firehouse..." Graham started but was cut off by Kade.

"And not answering his com! This isn't right..."

It had been 2 hours since they last saw Cody. The Burns family started to search across Blossom Vale for the missing blonde, but to no avail. Kade was seriously ticked off and worried, not that he would admit, he kept wondering if Cody had been kidnapped or hurt.

Kade started to search out by the forest edge... And found something peculiar. It was a cup that the Burns family owned, mainly because it said Cody on the bottom, and it was tipped over. Graham walked over to see what Kade was staring at... And caught a whiff of poison...

Chief's P.O.V.

"POISON?!" I exclaimed in horror, and wondering what happened to my youngest son.

"It's very crude and not well made, but it works. Whoever did this must have poisoned Cody's drink and taken him as he passed out." Graham answered scientifically-ish.

"We need to find him immediately!" Dani stated as she hopped in Blades.

"We won't let whoever poisoned Cody get away!" Said the determined Heatwave as Kade climbed in.

"This offense won't be ignored and we shall jail this heartless fiend." Chase stated in his usual manner.

The family of heroes rolled out... As a figure watched from the shadows...

...

They searched throughout the forest, but they didn't find any signs of the young Burns... Until a certain spy car appeared.

Cody's P.O.V.

Cody kept still in the cage. He had deduced that he was in Mount Magma, the lava was a big factor in that. The only movement was of his hands trying to pick the lock.

After many kidnappings, Graham decided to teach Cody how to pick locks. This was quite useful for the unfortunate, blonde boy.

Cody hoped that Madeline was going to call his Dad. If she did that then his family could track him, but Cody hoped he would escape before then.

A click sounded from the lock, while Cody pushed the top open. He looked around for the black haired women, and smiled when she was nowhere to be seen. The volcano's lava was below him, slowly rising, but there was also a ledge. It was the same one that Madeline Pynch stood on when Cody first woke up.

Cody realized that he needed to swing the cage to reach the edge... over all of that lava. Cody shook off his vertigo, also his blooming headache, and started to swing his body weight back and forth.

Cody climbed up on the edge of the cage. The cage swung towards the ledge... and he jumped, crashing into the ground. He groaned in pain as his stomach recovered from that landing. After trying to stand with some difficulty, Cody leaned against the wall as he walked into the tunnel and away from the rising lava.

Many minutes passed from when Cody started walking... And he was exhausted. The wall seemed to be the only thing to keep him upright. It seemed that the poison must still have weakening effects the more he pushed himself... Yet he kept walking, and walking, and walking down the tunnel that seemed to never end.

Until light shined into the darkness... A way out. Cody sighed in relief as his determination moved him along to the opening.

Cody forgot about the weakness in his legs... and fell out of the tunnel. His body tumbling down into the road below as he closed his eyes in pain.

Screeching noises sounded out nearby, but Cody was too weak to open his eyes. He felt large metal hands gently pick him up... The bots...

Cody fell into a deep slumber in the hands of this bot.

............................................

Cody awoke to light streaming from his bedroom window. He felt much better and was very glad to see he was home. He struggled to sit up, but once he did the door opened.

"My son!" Cody's father raced over to his weakened boy, hugging him, "I don't mean to rush you, but what happened? Why did QuickShadow find you in the street?"

"QuickShadow? She found me..." Cody's slow mind finally caught up, "Madeline Pynch! She poisoned me, and tried to burn me alive in Mount. Magma!"

"Madeline Pynch escaped?! Deputy Barney never contacted me about this!" The Chief of Police sighed, "I will need to contact the team about Madeline... but you should get some rest my son."

Cody laid back down on his bed to sleep once more... Not hearing his father call for Kade to guard the youngest Burns. While the rest of the team would search for the fool who messed with his family.

A/N: 1,445 words, nice. I now need to rest my eyes. ZZZZZZZZZZZ
