So It Wasn't A Dream...-Megatron
Long time no see my precious readers <3
You woke up with two things in mind. One: you were in terrible, excruciating pain from perhaps the worst night sleep you had ever had. Two: because of the horrible pain and lack of sleep, you were pissed. You didn't even try to hide it-as soon as your eyes snapped open they were set in a fierce glare. Without you, and certainly without any Cybertronian, thinking about it, you had realized much too late that the Nemesis was completely and utterly unprepared for a human visitor of any kind. Knockout had helped the best he could and found a clean polishing rag for you to fold up and sleep in on top of the counter, but it was still the equivalent of sleeping on a blanket on top of a freezing cold metal floor with no pillow.
Yeah. Insanely pissed.
You rolled over to look for Megatron on his much larger "berth" but found he wasn't there. He must have already gotten up, and how you managed to sleep through a thirty-foot robot sneaking out of the room when you barely slept through the ruffle of the rag last night was beyond you. You narrowed your eyes even further. The lights had been dimmed as low as they could go, there seemed to be another rag down by your feet that must have been kicked off at some point, and when you checked your phone you were shocked to see it was almost eight in the morning: nearly an hour later than when you usually woke. It seems Megatron hadn't just snuck out to get going with his regular duties but had also taken the time to attend to your needs. Your stomach flipped a bit at the thought and you snuggled further into the rag.
So maybe you weren't so mad anymore.
Never being one for staying in bed much longer than needed, you stretched your arms high above your head, sighed in the brief contentment, and then threw the rag off and got to your feet. Shifting an edge with your foot you uncovered the device you had been given to open the doors and pressed it. Nothing happened. You pressed it again, rapidly, over and over until a growl of frustration slipped through your snarling lips.
"Oh for crying out loud...Megatron!" You yelled, "A little help please!"
You knew the chances of him hearing you were close to none. You had seen how separated his room was from the rest of, well, anything. Of course, stubborn as you were, it seemed that wouldn't be stopping you.
"Megatron! The lock on your door won't let me open it with this thing! Megatron!"
You walked up to it and started banging it with your fists. "Oh, come on!"
Beyond frustrated, already fed up with the day, and with nothing you could do, you began to scream-rant.
"This is not going to work, we need to update this thing so it will work on your door!"
"If this is where I'll be staying I need to be able to actually get out!"
"Plus this ship has absolutely nothing a human needs I can't live off of energon, and I certainly can't sleep on a rag like that every night! No one can---" You stopped as the door opened and your fist when straight through air.
You look up to see the gun-metal grey and red eyes of the leader staring down at you amusedly, the gleaming black and purple frame of the TIC behind him. "Megatron! Thank god. I didn't think anyone would be able to hear me."
"You can thank Soundwave for that." He said, nodding towards the silent mech.
You smile towards him in appreciation. "Thank you, Soundwave. Could you perhaps fix this up so I can get in and out of this room?"
Soundwave nodded, visor glinting in the low light, and gently took the remote from your outstretched hand. He nodded once more at both you and Megatron, then turned the corner and left, presumably to fix the device.
You look back up at the warlord. "Hi."
He smirked down at you, kneeling and putting his hand to the floor so you could step on to it. "Good morning, Y/N. Sleep well?"
You carefully climbed onto his hand and crossed your arms facing him. "I can't really say I did. What are the chances that we could get out hands on some actual human stuff? Like, you know, a bed, and some food...basic necessities."
"As much as I would love for you to stay here on the Nemesis, perhaps it would be easier if you were retrieved from and brought back to your apartment?" He asked, glancing down at the rag on the counter.
You were disappointed equally as much as you were relieved by his question. Sure, living on the Nemesis was already turning out to be a bit of an issue and it would be much easier if you just stayed at your apartment, but that meant less time with the Decepticons...less time with Megatron. You looked into his red eyes thoughtfully.
"I suppose that will work. How will I get around though? It wouldn't be the most subtle if I were to be seen flying around in an unknown jet every day."
The leader laughed and set out to wherever he had been before your rescue. "Of course not. You will be space-bridged when necessary, but seeing as it is slightly stressing on a human form, I will meet you at an unpopulated area to pick you up and drop you off."
"...you will, my liege? Will you not be too busy to carry me around?" You asked in surprise.
He looked down at you in a way that made a gentle heat rush to your cheeks. "You're worth the time."
With that, you were left overall speechless and simply watched and waited to see where it was he was taking you. He turned a few hallways before you recognized the doors to the medbay and looked up at him questioningly. Was he sick? No...did robots even get sick? Was he injured? You did a quick once-over of his frame to which he lifted a metal brow at and you quickly glanced away from, but nothing seemed out of sorts. What was the purpose in going here?
The doors easily slid open under his weight and you glared at them as they closed effortlessly behind.
"Y/N, why do you look like you're trying to break down my doors with your eyes?" Knockout questioned from where he was working in the center of the room.
"No reason." You muttered under your breath.
"She got locked in my room this morning when the controller Soundwave provided her with failed to unlock the doors." Megatron supplied.
You gasped up at him. "Megatron! Shhh!" You said, slapping his thumb. He looked at you in amusement.
"Hmph!" You breathed and turned away from him, deciding on ignoring his presence.
"Aw, poor girl." Knockout cooed teasingly. You stuck your tongue out at him which caused him to laugh. "Anyway, here is the food Megatron had me get for you. I've got to say I don't really know what you fleshies eat, so I just stole this from the back of a car in a grocery store."
You glared suspiciously at Megatron who seemed to find some beakers very interesting all of a sudden and took the bag of food from Knockout's pinched fingers. "Thank you, Knockout, I'm sure it will be fine."
With that Megatron nodded to the medic and swiftly turned back to the door, headed for what you assumed was the main room. After a few quick turns, his long strides had brought you to the throne and he carefully lowered you to one of the armrests. For the first time, you glanced into the bag and couldn't help but chuckle at its contents. A gallon of milk, a few apples, a package of granola bars, and a bag of baby carrots sat mockingly in the white plastic.
"What?" Megatron asked.
"Nothing, it's just...whoever Knockout took these from is a pretty hardcore dieter I guess. It's a little interesting for breakfast, but it'll do."
"Is there something you'd rather? We can go back down if you want." He offered.
"What, have you got nothing better to do than tend to a tiny human like me?" You teased.
He looked at you shocked for all of half a second before he growled and turned his head away. "I have plenty to do as Leader of the Decepticons. You would be wise to remember that."
"Of course, my liege." You bowed dramatically and he rolled his eyes.
"What am I to do with you?" He said, resting his head on his hand to look down at you.
You fought against the blush and met his gaze. "Hmmmmm, that seems to be the question, doesn't it? Shall you fly me to and fro your ship for all my annoying human needs? Could it be that I merely sit here like a trophy until you need me? Will I help Knockout and Soundwave with their duties? Or maybe you'll let me mock Starscream whenever he does something irritating?"
His chuckle filled the quiet room and you grinned up at him. "We'll see what the Decepticon cause has in store for you yet, Y/N," he said, lifting you up to his face. Something in those red optics of his seemed to swirl with something you couldn't quite place, "However, I'm sure that with you involved, every second will be an adventure worthy of sharing."
