Getting a Guardian...And Something More-Knockout
Knockout walked out of the room with you still in his hand. "I'd say that went rather well."
You look at him a bit incredulously. "That, was well?"
He looks down at you seriously. "The more time you spend around here, the more you'll see just how well that really went. Let's just say Megatron is a mech that you do not want to upset. He could have just as easily killed you as he let you join."
You gulped. What had you gotten yourself into? "And, uh, how long will I be staying here, exactly?"
He smirks as he looks ahead. "I would estimate quite a while, doll."
You frown. "I thought I told you not to call me that."
His gaze slides down to you and he smirks carelessly. It makes you blush. "Ah yes, I forgot. Y/N."
You quickly look ahead to break eye contact and he chuckles, walking up to a huge door that slides aside to reveal a large room.
"Welcome to the Med Bay." He says with a grand sweep of his arm. The one that wasn't holding you of course. Though you still wouldn't put it past him.
The room was filled with a few tables and platforms. Various cupboard looking things lined the walls, and the others shelves adorned with vials and bottles of many shades. There were tools everywhere, but they were all neat and tidy in their own little sections. Between the perfect paint job and the immaculate worksite, something told you that perfectionist might be a word used to describe Knockout.
"As Megatron said, you'll be staying with me during your wonderful vacation here on the Nemesis, so this is where you'll be spending much of your time. Better get comfortable." He says, placing you on top of a table.
You look at him with an eyebrow raised. "Comfortable? Everything around here is ginormous and made of only metal and glass! I'll at least need a bed or a blanket or something."
He rolls his eyes in annoyance. "Ugh, you are your fleshy kind. So needy."
"I'm sorry I'm not made of metal!" You huff out as you cross your arms. "Nothing I can do about that."
"True," He says, and then smirks. "It's really such a shame."
You glare at him as his smirk widens. "You're unbelieveable."
"I know."
Unable to take any more of the pompous mech you turn, only to find you nearly slicing yourself in half at the end of a sharp-bladed tool. You let out a surprised scream and flail your arms, stumbling backwards as you try not to fall on it.
"Aah! Y/N!" Knockout shouts as he scoops you up, gently cradling you in his servos.
"Are you alright?" He asks concernedly, checking over you for any injuries.
A small smile crosses your lips at his worry. "I'm fine Knockout, but perhaps someplace with less dangerous sharp and pointy things?"
He nods and brings you over to one of the berths, it having nothing resting on its surface. He sits down next to you and puts his servos on either side of him, looking down.
"Day one and I'm already almost killing you." He says with a shake of his head.
You grin and lightly punch him on the arm, though you know it must feel like a feather.
"But ya didn't." You say cheerily, even if you're still a little shaky. "Plus, I kinda would've killed myself-after all I basically walked into the thing."
When he still looks distraught you pout and climb up his leg and sit on his knee, forcing him to look at you.
"Come onnnnnnnn," You whine. "I'm fine! Don't be such a downer."
You smile wildly up into his red and black optics when he finally looks at you again.
He chuckles at your grinning form, a real smile spreading across his face. Not a smirk. A smile. "I'll see what I can do about getting that bed."
When the little human girl slid off his leg to go explore the room some more, Knockout couldn't help but shudder. Not in disgust, like he would have thought only a day ago. But with a strange warmth that sent shivers down his back struts. He watched as you went up to some of the beakers of various energon concoctions and awed at their glow and colors. He smiled. For a second it shocked him. This tiny human had made him nearly have a sparkattack when she almost ran into that blade. Then she made him smile at her adorable way of trying to cheer him up. And then that warmth that was swirling around in his chassis. What on Cybertron was that? But then she turned and shot him the brightest, most excited smile as she peeked out from between two glowing glasses. He smiled back as that strange warmth filled him again, and his optics softened. He then realized, he wouldn't want it any other way.
