The Remanence of Pain

(Starting off this chapter with a potentially important announcement.
There is now going to be more flashbacks and different point of views, as well as interruptions. I was originally going to keep just Silent Shadow's point of view and of a third bot PoV, but after considering how much my co-creators wanted to write about the backstories of their respective creations, it will take way to many chapters to emotionally wrap around everyone effectively without hundreds of chapters. So, flashbacks will be long and detailed at times, new points of views will be introduced, as well as new characters as the book progresses. Also, when I interrupt the chapter the text will be in bold now. Thank you and enjoy the update.)
______________

A Metacycle,

(Three weeks bro)

it had been a Metacycle,

multiple solar and lunar cycles sitting in the form of her ex-fiancé,
tormenting herself with the mech's menacing armour and lack of stealth and agility.
The torment sourced from the flashbacks and constant memories sparked by the thundering steps that shook the ground beneath her and lack of optic contact between her and Feary.

(No offence to bucket head was intended.)

But now the cuts had healed and a few weeks on this planet called earth had passed, and with luck, the rest of the haven had not bothered to visit them during that time, to which Silent Shadow was grateful.

Now she sat for the last time in that form as Thunder Claw unwrapped the final tarp and washed away the last patch of gauze.

That's better...

Silent Shadow stood, the medical berth creaked as the giant mass lifted off it and transferred to the powerful pedes beneath her. She smiled at Thunder Claw as they looked at each other, Thunder Claw trying to memorize the soft look the sentient's faceplates protrade since they hid behind Silent Shadow's visor in her birth form most of the time. Silent Shadow turned and walked out the door of the med bay with thundering steps and made her way to the main foyer. She had taken this route enough times to know she would surely never forget how to get there.

Time had passed, missions had failed much more often as the supposed end of a war between Autobots and Decepticons was nearing, and Feary time and time again had to kill more Cybertronians to keep their secret.
Wyvern was resting on the flight deck, as always, and Feary emotionlessly stared at the Energon processors as they finished processing the few crystals she had scavenged from an abandoned mine.

Silent Shadow walked over to the femme and silently cringed with every sound she made.

Definitely going to transform as soon as possible.

"Hey, are you alright?"

"Fine, Wyvern's stupid light bender decided to malfunction when we were almost out of the mine and we had to drop most of our load to escape undetected," Feary heaved a sign as she looked over at her friend that continued to toss in his slumber.

"We lost a lot of fuel for some stupid peace..." Feary started to mumble almost inaudibly and Silent Shadow deeply wished she could have heard the rest.

Flashback
Feary POV

"Yuck..."

Feary lifted her servo off of the cave's floor when she felt it dip into a gooey substance. Turning off her headlight's brights, she examined the servo, a thick blue liquid dripped from the fingers. She gasped, the liquid was processed Energon, and since she had been scouting the area for a while now she knew there had recently been a cave-in on this old Energon mine.

"Primus..."

She set her servo back down as she continued to crawl through the tight entrance,

There's gotta be survivors.

Or at least their husks.

"He's been having nightmares lately," she gestured towards Wyvern as Silent Shadow looked over towards the beast, watching as he let out a low growl.

"Would he be having one at the moment?" Silent Shadow asked as she looked at the concerned femme.

"Most likely, he would not move in his sleep like that otherwise."

As Feary watched her companion, Wyvern started to violently shiver, growling intensely as he continued to stir in his traumatic world of sleep.

Flashback
Feary POV

Come on... squeeze...

Feary struggled to clear the tight entrance into a hollowed-out area in the old mine, or rather, what was left of it. After finally fitting her door wings through, the rest of the way was easy, and she slid into the small area. She stood and looked around, looking for any leftover Energon Crystals, or bodies. There were a lot of loose boulders everywhere.

Suddenly out of the corner of her optic she saw a torn wing.

She jerked herself around, watching as it twitched a few times.

What in...

A long low growl emitted from the pile that now started to reveal an injured beast, much to her fear, Feary cautiously walked over to the fallen beast.

"Hey-"

A hiss interrupted her as the other few boulders moved and revealed a few long and pointed horns that attached to hidden faceplates. Feary fought the urge to run away from the beast. But something deep within her told her to stay. Now as she looked closer she noticed dried Energon spattered on boulders surrounding the fallen beast.

It's heavily injured.
I must help it.
No more running from fear...

Feary fluttered her optics until she realized what he was doing. He had done this once before where he had broken down when he woke up and destroyed everything in the whole chamber before slowly calming down, she couldn't do anything to save him from harming anyone, and interfering would only cause more trouble.

(Hint hint (^_−) )

His trembling increased and Silent Shadow promptly caught on to the rapid change in Feary's demeanour .

"Oh no... Shadow, Follow me!" The femme didn't care whether Silent Shadow was fast in that Cybertronian form or not, but she ran past the femme and dashed towards the corridor that leads to their respective berthrooms.

Why are you running!

(Imagines Silent Shadow's thought being said in a male Russian accent.)

She rushed into her berthroom and turned to find Silent Shadow further behind than she would normally be as her thundering run shook the floor beneath her. After shutting the doors, Feary turned towards the Cybertronian who now stood in the corner venting heavily.

"I forgot... just how hard it is to sprint in this form... how did he even do it?" She gasped for air as she spoke to herself,

"Sorry about that, but as soon as Wyvern wakes which could be any moment now, he's going to turn into a frenzied mess," she too was finding the need to run silly and unnecessary but she didn't know what could happen to them, especially since Wyvern would think of Silent Shadow as the actual mech she was physically portraying at the moment.

"We need to let him calm down," Feary added.

"Alright, but what about Thunder Claw and Peanut?"

"They'll be fine."

(Yeah, okay... with a rampaging beast that's broken down in a frenzy of destruction and can't be helped or stopped, I'm sure they'll be fine...)
