Shadowzone

Things are back to normal, well, kind off. Megatron is back but the good news they have Bumblebee back. However, Optimus scolded Nova for engaging into the Nemesis which she was told not to be in any missions but that doesn't stop her for trying. The Next day, the base was rather quiet. Ever since Megatron's resurrection, there had been a lull in Decepticon activity. And with no immediate Decepticon threats popping up on the radar, all the autobots had taken to doing menial work, like scouting for Energon, while they waited for the enemies next move.

Nova was sitting on the floor, in front of the couch, petting Campy beside her. Raf was playing video games with Jack. Miko was doing her homework in an armchair to the side. She sighed as she hugged herself thinking about something that has been bothering her today. First it was that dream she had, then her vision going all blue when she was in Megatron's grasp. 'What happened back there? Why was my vision went blue all of a sudden? Could this be connected to my dream? Is my power increasing again? If it is, why is my power acting it up?' Nova thought.

Questions began filling up my head that she didn't notice Optimus staring at her with concern from a distance. She snapped back into reality when she heard a beeping on the monitor. She looked up from her place and listened. Ratchet frowned as he looked at the monitor. "I'd had hoped that my growing expertise on the subject would remain purely academic, but though faint, This is clearly a dark energon signature and it's moving fast." Optimus looked at Ratchet. "Megatron...."

Arcee quickly looked at the two, "Where'd he find more of the bad stuff?" Bulkhead frowned, "What's he going to do with it? Recruit a new army of the undead?" Miko jumped up, looking over at them, "Zombie cons?!"

"We cannot rule out the possibility, especially since Megatron seems to be heading to a familiar site," he agreed though he had his own doubts. It was very unlike the Decepticon warlord to try something that had already proved to be ineffective in the past unless he gained some profit from the move.

Turning, Optimus addressed the rest of his team. "Megatron has barely emerged from stasis, and it seems he's already making up for lost time," he said, but he couldn't help but feel that something was wrong with whole scenario. Surely Megatron couldn't recover that quickly? He may have been a former gladiator from the Pits of Kaon but something just did not add up. Still...he focused back on his team. "Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Ratchet: prepare to roll out."

"Me?" Ratchet asked in surprise.

"If we are dealing with Dark Energon, I may require your abilities. Arcee---"

"Groundbridge operator. Got it." She turned to the screen.

"Go get 'em, Bulkhead! Bring the hurt!" Miko called from the couch. Bulkhead smiled and punched both fists together on top of his chassis. Jack, Raf, and Nova watched Miko intently as she went back drawing. Nova knew that something was up. Call it an intuition or instincts but she know from experience that Miko was never this quiet or uninterested in going along with the autobots. The groundbridge opened and they went through. Miko suddenly smirked and threw her sketchpad and pencils down as she jumped over the couch and began running.

"Making a break!" Jack proclaimed as he began running after her. Nova growled softly as she left Campy side and followed after them. Eventually, Jack caught up to her by jumping down numerous stairs. He ran into the tunnel and grabbed Miko by her arm but broke free and continued running through the ground bridge as they followed.

Once they reached the other side to a rocky area, Miko immediately began climbing a pile of rocks to get the best view of the action. They followed her without hesitation. Nova said mentally, 'Seriously, Doesn't she know she's going to get killed? Not only that I'm going to get in trouble when I was told not to do this again. Well, its this or being at the base.'

"Let's see some fight of the living dead already!" Miko cried. "Miko! What were you thinking?" Jack hissed at her. "She wasn't." Raf piped in."Hey! I totally missed out last time! This could be my only chance to take some snaps," Miko remarked as she felt around her pockets."What's wrong?" Nova asked annoyed. "My cell phone! I must have dropped it back at base!" She cried in panic. She groaned and shook her head.

"Ugh, I can't believe you made me loose my phone Nova!"

Nova winced at her yelling but glared at her and jabbed her finger at Miko, "ME?!......You're the one who left the base!"

Miko glared at her and crossed her arms, pouting. Jack shook his head, "How is it Nova's fault you are incapable of thinking!?" They looked over to see two ground bridges activated on the left side of the canyon, one near the Autobots and one near Starscream. She had a dreaded feeling when she saw two groundbridge. 'why do I suddenly have a bad feeling about this?' She thought.

"You four! Into our ground bridge, Now!"

Ignoring that feeling of dread that had settled in the pit of my stomach, we all followed the medic's direction and raced into the green vortex; Jack and Nova kept a close eye on Miko. But as they ran through, She sensed that something was wrong, like, really wrong, as the entered the swirling green portal. A second too late, She realized what was going on and barely had time to grab the person nearest to her, pulling them close in an attempt to shield them with her body.

Boom!

Less than a second later after the explosion, She felt as her body was suddenly airborne for a few scant seconds before slamming into the hard ground with enough force to slightly daze her. Thankfully for whoever she had managed to grab though, her body had taken the full brunt of the impact, minimizing their injuries, as she landed with a grunt on her back, air being forced from her lungs. Gulping a couple greedy lungful's of air, nose greeted by dry dust, She slowly managed to crack my eyes open a little to see a familiar kid secured in her arms.

"Your alright, Raf?" Nova wheeze out with a soft grunt. He groaned and looked up at her. "N-Nova?" She watched as the kid got slowly to his feet. "Thanks for the save," he said in an awkwardly grown-up way that only a mature child like himself could do.

"Anytime," she replied fondly. Trying to see through the cloud of dust that had been sent up, she found Jack and Miko a couple feet away, slowly getting to their feet in a similar fashion as Raf and Nova had and sporting little to no visible injuries."Are you guys okay?" Jack asked quietly looking at the rest of them worriedly. Nova nodded at Jack, hearing Raf and Miko say they were okay. Nova couldn't help but notice something was off. She couldn't quite place her finger on it. For some reason, the surroundings looked off-color and less vibrant than before, like she had just been looking at a picture with a chrome filter on and had just suddenly switched it to a weak grayscale.

Then, they heard Bulkhead groaning and turned to see him rising up from beside them. Bulkhead turned to the other Autobots, "What just happened?" Ratchet shrugged, "Can't be certain, but if two ground bridges sent to the same coordinates crossed streams the feedback could have triggered a system overload."

Miko looked up at them, "Could? Hello!? More like it totally did!" Bulkhead looked around, but not at them, "The kids made it through right?"

Nova looked around at all the 'bots in confusion. "What?" Jack tilted his head, "What's he talking about?" Miko stormed up to him, "Bulkhead! We're right here!"

Optimus touched his ear to get the com link, "Arcee. Did the children make it safely back to base?"

Ratchet stepped forward, "No sign."

"What?! 'No sign'?!" Miko shouted, still in denial as she moved even closet to the pede of her guardian. "Okay, seriously, Bulk—"

Then the weirdest, freakiest thing happened. The green metal giant took a step that should have squashed Miko—or at the very least, punted her into a wall—and instead went right through her. Passing through her body like it was a ghost.

"He went right through you, we're not alive." Jack said. "I don't wanna be a ghost." Raf screeched.

"Wait, how come we can still touch each other?"

They looked over to see the Autobots walking away. They began running after them hearing Optimus speak up, "Ratchet, Could the children have been transported onto the Nemesis instead?"

Ratchet shook his head, "Not likely, Starscream didn't arrive at our base. The most likely explanation is a dislocation.. The children may have simply been bridged to an unintended destination."Raf frowned as he thought about their situation, "Another place but in the same place?"

Jack blinked, "Huh, what do you mean?"

"We're probably in a different dimension, some sort of alternate reality, a Shadowzone." Raf theorized."Nerd alert." Miko said. Nova frowned as she whacked her at the back of the head for her rudeness."Look. Skyquake's tomb is empty." Optimus said as they looked at a big hole. "How did we miss Skyquake's rising and shining?" Bulkhead asked. "It would seem Starscream got what he came for." Ratchet answered. "Another matter for another time, right now our priority is locating Jack, Nova, Miko and Rafael." Optimus told them.

There was a roar and they froze when they saw a rusted hand on the mountain side. A huge Decepticon get up from behind a rock, near them. He went to attack the Autobots who were about to go into the ground bridge. They all began running towards them as Miko yelled, "Zombie!"

"Guys look out!" Jack yelled.

"Bulkhead!" Miko called.

"It's right behind you!" Raf followed.

"Turn around!" Nova added.

Skyquake tried to attack Bulkhead but it went right through him. Awesome, it can't touch them either!" Miko said in glee. Realization dawned upon Nova's face as it turned around facing them.

"If that thing can't touch the bots." Jack said nervously. "It can touch us!" Nova finished fearfully.

"Then we're trapped in the Shadowzone, with a Decepticon zombie!" Raf squeaked."If we aren't ghosts now...we will be soon." Miko said in a small voice.

The zombiecon stopped in front of them and roared as the humans gaped up at him. Jack turned around and began running, the other three doing the same. They ran past the rock they hid behind earlier only for Raf to trip and his glasses fly off. Nova turned around and bit her lip as she picked him up and helped him run over to Jack and Miko. He had a tight grip on her hand, "Nova! My glasses!"

Jack shook his head and gently moved Raf away from the edge as Nova peeked out from behind the corner. Jack looked as well, "Way too dangerous."

"I can't see without them!" Raf told them. "What are you? 90?" Miko sniped. "Not helping!" Nova hissed. "Fine." She looked at NOva, her face spelled determination before she took off. "Wait!" Jack cried. Miko ran back out to go and grab the glasses as she went under the Zombie and grabbed them. She managed to avoid a swipe. 'IS SHE CRAZY?!' Nova said mentally at her crazy act. "Hoo-yah!" Miko cheered as she ran back to them.

"Here you go gramps, lets book." She told us after handed Rafs glasses back and putting them on. the situation was getting desperate as we kept running with zombie Skyquake chasing us."Maybe we can set a trap, try and crush it." Miko suggested."With what? Nothing around here is solid except us and the ground!" Raf told her."We can't run forever, but we can hide." Miko said.

"Not the greatest idea," Nova said. "If we were even lucky to find a place to hide, Skyquake might bring the place down on us and crush us. Besides, there aren't many places you can use to hide from a freaking twenty-foot tall metal menace."

"Well, I'm sorry but we've gotta do something."

"Maybe if you hadn't head out, we wouldn't be in this mess."

"Shut up! You are not the boss of me! You can't tell me what to do!"

Her eyes flashed earning a fearful look from Jack, though she didn't see it. "The only reason I say anything is to keep you alive, you ungrateful cow!"

"I never asked you to!"

"Oh because you were doing such a great job getting Raf and Jack almost killed! But excuse me, the lives of others don't concern Little miss pigtail girl. All she cares about is getting her next adrenaline rush!"

"That's not true! Shut up you emotionless reject!"

By now, Nova was just a couple words shy of throttling Miko with her bare hands; her expression looking downright murderous. "Ha," She laughed in a bitter, mocking tone that was riddled with frost. "You should look at yourself you emptyheaded, thick-skulled hypocrite! Unlike you, this 'emotionless reject' happens to care about what happens to others, so if you don't mind, I'm gonna try to get Raf and Jack out of here alive since you apparently think this is all a game."

She opened her mouth to retort but Nova cut her off before she could.

"Shut your mouth right now, you asinine idiot. You sound like a cow."

Miko tried anyway to retaliate with another comeback when she lost her footing and found herself on the hard ground. "Miko!" Jack exclaimed ran back to her side and Raf followed back behind Jack. Nova skidded to a stop as she saw Skyquake getting closed to them and about to crush them. They covered themselves, waited for the impact but nothing happen. They turned to see Nova with her hair glowing, protected them in a barrier. Skyquake staggered back then roared as he began to punch the barrier. She cringed a bit then narrowed her eyes on the undead Cybertronian as she tried to hold the barrier.

"Nova! What are you doing?!" Jack said frantically while helping Miko on her feet.

"GO! I can't hold the barrier much longer!" Nova said to them. They got up as they run away from Skyquake while Nova is barely holding on the shield while receiving the punching. Nova cringed again and she felt her powers began to weakened as the barrier started to cracked. Skyquake roared as NOva saw the claw swiped at her which made the barrier dissipated and she was thrown into the air then landed on the hard ground. Jack and the others saw from the distance and were shocked to see Nova got up weakly then cringed in pain as she clenched her right arm and her body sore. She looked up to see Skyquake coming towards her so she formed plasma energy on her left hand blast at it's chest making the zombiecon fell on the ground.

Her hair stopped glowing and groaned weakly as she placed her right foot on the ground while clutching her right arm. The three kids run to side her side as Jack asked worriedly, "Are you alright?" Nova replied, "Just....peachy."

Miko exclaimed, "Dude you got him..."But It was short lived when Skyquake slowly began to get up. Unfortunately, Skyquake's armor was thick and very strategically layered which had no effect on him, only a few wires were exposed from the lightning blast. "Can you walk?" Jack asked as he wrapped her arm around his shoulder for support and stood up. She felt exhausted due to her shield which rendered her weak and takes time to recover as she shook her head. Skyquakes footsteps were getting closer; Miko and Raf looked at each other with worry, then back at Jack and Nova wondering what they should do. "Alright, get on back." Jack said. Nova didn't argue as wrapped her arms around his neck and he grabbed her legs, giving her a piggyback ride and continued running.

They've been running for what feels like forever as they all stop for a breather. "I don't see him." Jack said gasping for hair. Nova let out a heavy breathe as she leaned against the rock wall while holding her right arm. "How are you feeling?" Jack asked with concern as he lifted the black sleeve and rolled up her white sleeve to reveal a big bruise on her arm. "Just......peachy." NOva replied sarcastically.

Raf fell onto his behind as Jack and Miko had their hands on their knees. "T-the best thing about zombie." Miko said panting. "There slow... moving."

"Yeah, I'm just he's not one of fast moving zombie types." She said when she heard a ring-tone started playing. "Is that your......" Raf started.

"Phone!" They said in unison. Jack flipped his phone open "Hello? Arcee?" he said.

Nova tried standing up but end up falling back on the ground. She cursed herself about having a broken right arm and her body sore when she gasped as she saw the same lightening blue glow but this time it was in her vision, it was coming from her arm, like it was glowing from inside of her! She kept staring at her arm until the glow faded and the bruise was gone, so was her sore body. It was exactly how it happened when she had injuries and bruises before then it just disappeared.

"Gee imagine that, the fourth dimension has lousy cell phone reception!" Miko said sarcastically, snapping Nova out of her thoughts.

"Guys, guys, guys the phone rang. We're getting a signal." Jack said tapping his cell phones screen. "Maybe the Autobots can't see or hear us is because...we're, moving at hyper speed or something." Raf guessed.

"You think they can read us?"

"Texting!" Raf exclaimed.

Miko gasped. "Text me, If my phone's back at the base, maybe they'll see it!"

They huddled around as Jack began to type. "U-uh, can you type and run?" Raf asked when he spotted the zombiecon in front of them. Jack turned around and was about to grabbed her but stop as she stood up and blast him with her lightning power which made him staggered back. Jack asked if she's alright which she examined her right arm, even her body and replied with a nod. Jack didn't ponder questioning her because they ran under Skyquake as he attempted to swipe at them as they ran again, they can't do much, but only run for their lives. She was surprised on how she can still run; a minute ago she had a sore body and couldn't stand.

"Deja Vu!"

They all turned to Miko as Jack sighed, "What?"

Miko shook her head, "Doesn't this look familiar to you?!"

"Not really."

"Dude! We just ran one big, huge circle!"

They ran into something and fell back on ground. Nova looked up and gasped seeing Starscream's arm. "How this get here?" Nova said as she gestured to Starscream's arm.

"Sweet." Miko said. "Whoa." Jack got up.

"It must have got trapped in here during the explosion too." Raf said.

They looked behind them to see the zombiecon coming towards them. Jack looked back at the arm, "If it's solid, we can use it." Nova caught on to the idea and nodded, running to the fingers and grabbed the fingers he used and waited for the right moment. Miko sighed, "Anyone know how to fire this thing?!"

Nova rolled her eyes and gently touched the right finger and made a tugging motion. "We have to pull back as hard as we can at the right moment." They nodded and kneel down beneath his fingers as the con walked into their little clearing. Jack looked at them, "We have one shot, We need to make it count!" They nodded in agreement, getting ready to pull. When Skyquake was almost to them they all pulled and the missile launched into the con's chest. Nova watched carefully, waiting for the smoke to fade. She knew better than to underestimate cons.

Miko grinned, "How do you like us now?!"

The zombiecon swing his hand, making the smoke clear and roaring at them again. They then watched as sparks flew from his right hand, it also falling off. The hand began twitching until it got up and began racing towards them, much faster than his body ever could. Nova shuddered and began running beside them. She said frustration, "Seriously, What else can go wrong?" Miko groaned, "How can a zombie arm move faster than the actual zombie!?" They slowed down at a clearing only to see Starscream's arm in front of them, again.

Miko growled softly, "Oh come on! This place is like one big merry go round!"

Nova groaned, looking around. "This dimension only affected the immediate area. It's a pocket universe. We can't just run out of this canyon." She said.

"Skyquake!" Came Starscream's voice. "Your master summons you."

Miko frowned, "Then how'd that freak get into our dimension!?"

"He didn't, he can't see us." Jack told her.

"Forget Starscream! We gotta run!" Miko said pointing Jack at the zombie arm coming our way. "....some more." Nova groaned at that as we continued again, then a groundbridge opened in front of them.

"A groundbridge portal?" Raf exclaimed surprised

"That's gotta be the way out of here." Jack said.

"The Autobots saw our text." Miko said very relieved.

"We go through, we run smack into Starscream!" Raf pointed out, "If we don't..."

They all turned around, "We're zombie chow." The hand was still racing towards them. Miko sighed, "Option three, we keep running in circles."

Nova looked at them before turning to face the arm. She may not like but that doesn't mean she could just let them get hurt. "Listen up you three.......If we time this right, we'll go through as well as the arm. Only we keep going as the hand attacks Starscream." Nova told them.

Jack listened before nodding, "Okay, everyone get ready!" He ran up to right in front of the ground bridge, ready to jump. Novaa frowned, her back to the bridge, watching the hand while biting her lip. Miko was doing the same while making worried sounds. Jack waited a bit more, "Now!" They sprang into action and headed to the portal.

"Humans! Where did you vermin....." Starscream started, but it was cut off by him by shrieking "This isn't mine!"

Another portal opened up and Optimus stepped through with Arcee and Bulkhead. "Jack, Miko, Nova, Rafael." Optimus said as he did a count. We walked through the groundbridge and back at base. The Autobots were lined up facing the humans in front of them, they wanted to know how it all happened and Bulkhead thought it was Nova's fault since she was told not to be out on mission.

Nova had her head down, her hair hiding her face to avoid eye contact to others. Miko looked at her and sighed, "Look, If you're going to blame anyone.. Blame me." Nova looked up at her in confusion. She blinked multiple times in undisguised surprise, totally taken aback by the words that had just issued out of the resident wild-child's mouth.

'Ugh, my exhaustion must be getting to me', She thought, rubbing her face tiredly. 'I could have sworn that I heard Miko just try to take the blame for all our misfortune today.'

They had just gotten through giving a general summary of what had happened in the other dimension. Though to be fair, there wasn't much to tell. They had left out the parts about Miko and Nova fighting and her getting injured—for which she was thankful. Anyways, Jack, on the other hand, had no such qualms about mishearing

"I'm sorry. Could you repeat that a couple dozen times?" he asked, apparently still peeved about what had happened today. Raf and the others just smartly chose to remain silent.

"Miko, what you endured has been lesson enough," Optimus said sagely. "We are just glad you are all safe."

Bulkhead gave Miko back her phone, "Guess it's a good thing you dropped this. Too bad you didn't get any pictures though."

Miko shrugged, "Nah, that's okay." She turned around to face Jack, Nova and Raf, "I think after today I pretty much had zombie closeup seared into my brain!"

With that in mind, Nova turned to slip her way out of the room. "And where do you think you're going, Nova?" She heard Jack suddenly call, causing her to halt in her tracks.

"Somewhere," Nova replied vaguely. "With an injured arm?" he asked loudly, calling everyone's attention to me. Nova clenched her right arm, even he didn't know that her arm was already healed.  This is not what she needed right now.

She turned slowly, her expression giving nothing away. "Jack, it's just a bruised. It's nothing to worry about,"Nova told him shortly.

"How do you know? You don't have any medical expertise."

"Aside from some meager CPR and basic first aid, you're right, I don't," Nova agreed, trying to keep a level head. "But I've had more than my fair share of injuries in the past so I know what a strained muscle and bruises feels like, I'm fine."

"'Fine'?! Nova, I know how hard it hurts, and I know your body—"

"That's enough, Jack,"Nova cut in. "I know you're concerned—"

"'Concerned'?!"

"—but it is nothing to worry about. It not like I broke a spine or something. Skyquake just gave me a little damage, that's all."

"Nova, you're hurt, you need to—"

"ENOUGH!"

Everyone was tensed by her outburst. "I said that I'm fine! Now leave me alone!" She growled angrily, stunning them all to silence, before turning on her heel and walking out of the room. They all watched silently as the angry girl stormed out of the room.

"Well that was....unsurprising," Jack said after a moment, sighing slightly and effectively breaking the heavy silence and drawing every eyeball and optic towards him.

"'Unsurprising?'" Arcee questioned as if asking him 'What planet are you from?' "How do you figure that?"

Surprisingly, it wasn't Jack that replied but Optimus as he asked, "This isn't the first time she has acted this way, is it?"

Jack smiled dryly at him in answer. "Don't take it personally. It's just Nova being Nova. She'll be alright." The boy paused before sighing again. "She's tough, I should know that better than anyone."

"Should we send someone after her?" Raf asked shyly, obviously concerned.

"No."

Everyone turned to him, surprised and even he himself had to admit that surprise himself with his own words. "No," he said more calmly as he became more sure of himself with each word. "It is probably best to leave Nova alone for a moment before."

It made more sense with each word he spoke. From what he knew of her, his charges' temper was something to be reckoned with. Not only that, he knew she was quite stubborn when she wanted to be too. Those two combined were a dangerous mixture. And since she was injured....well, dealing with her would be the equivalent of trying to deal with a feral animal. So it was best for now just to let her cool off and try to approach her later.

Besides, if he knew her as well as he had come to, he knew where to find her when the time was right.

ON THE ROOFTOP

Watching the dying sunlight in the distance, Nova allowed herself to let loose and relax a little. Campy was sleeping on her hood becoz he worried so much that he doesn't want to leave her side. Nova was relieved that the horror is over. Although, she had other things that come to mind; Nova examined her right arm one more time. Every day more and more questions began filling up her head and none of the answers. 'What is going on here? My injury just disappeared like before. An injury can't be healed that fast......what am I exactly?'

Nova was in her thought when she sense someone behind her. "Come on out. I know you're there," Nova called softly, knowing without turning who was behind her. There was a rumble of large footsteps before the large figure of her guardian came to stand by her left. "How are you faring Nova?" he asked in that deep, rumbling voice of his.

"Better now that I've cooled down a bit," Nova admitted, not taking her eyes off the sunset. She knew he wasn't really referring to her mood, but she hoped he wouldn't press her much about her injuries and didn't want him to get suspicion. "How are you feeling?"

"Admittedly better than I was an hour ago," Optimus admitted much to her surprise. "Oh really? I doubt that myself and the kids going missing had that much of an impact on you," Nova said offhandedly, chin resting on her knees.

"Then you do not know me at all."

This time Nova did, look over at him, a questioning brow raised though he did not look away from the wash of red, orange and yellow on the horizon. "Nova, the Autbot's and I have grown increasingly attached to you and the other human's over the time period we have spent together. When you went missing on that battlefield...." he stopped short, offlining his optics and venting before finally turning his blue-eyed gaze towards her. "I honestly had trouble focusing on my duties as a leader because of my worry for you was so great."

He wasn't lying; She could see the honesty in his optics. Turning back to the sunset, She asked softly, "Why?"

Nova could feel his questioning gaze on her so she clarified her question a bit more, mouth going dry as she said lowly, "Why me? I'm nothing special. I can understand being worried about the kids, but why me too?"

For a moment there was no reply, and Nova honestly thought that he wasn't going to or didn't know how to answer, so she was startled when Optimus then gently picked her up and held her gently before his eyes. It was surprising that she was held up close.

"Nova, whether you know it or not, I have become very fond of you," he told her gently, his brilliant blue optics meeting her blue eyes as he spoke every word. "You care more about others than you wish let on and are willing to go to any lengths to protect those around you, be they friends, enemies, or strangers. Not only that, but once someone has earned some of your trust, you are stubbornly loyal to a fault, sticking to what you believe is right no matter the trials and tribulations you have to endure. I value and admire that and consider you to be one of my close friends and someone I do not want to lose so readily."

He fell silent after that, his optics seeming to try and convey all his unspoken thoughts and feelings to Nova. No one had ever worried about her health since she remembered. Nova was just so surprised; she had not heard words like those in, well, never.

Doing only what felt natural to her for the first time, Nova leaned in and rested her forehead against his as best as she could and looking him in the optics.

"Thank you....Optimus. You have no idea what you have given me," She whispered. "Nor how much your words really mean to me."

For a moment, they just stayed like that, looking into each other's gazes until they both pulled away, each chuckling a bit for some unknown reason as Optimus gently set Nova on his shoulder and they watched the sun set together.

She thought about Optimus of how genuine he is and how he cared about others. She wanted to remember who she was but wasn't able to regain anything. It's time she decided what she shouldn't have done before. She asked, "Optimus....."he turned to her as she continued, ".... There is something you can do for me."

"And what might that be?" He asked

Nova looked him straight in the optics, "Can you asked FOwler to help me.....find information about my background? I know it may sound stupid in asking but I just wanted to know who I was before." He was surprised that it was the first time she asked help in finding about her background. He thought about it then said, "I will have Agent Fowler see what he can do."

Nova nodded as they went back to watch the sunset. But as she sat there with him in contented silence, She noticed an odd feeling that seemed to originate from where her heart was. What could it be?
