(A/N Right now Nova is having her memories return which it will be showing the flashback of her past from 10 years ago. Its a bit long and it might contain violence but I hope you enjoy it.)

It was a long time ago when the space pod opened and revealed a blue-haired girl. Everyone was amazed that a girl came from outer space and had no origin to where it came from. The clueless girl was placed in the white room where there was a bed and a glass wall (A/N Just like ansatsu kyoshitsu Ep Past Time where Aguri study Koro-sensei). Not only that, she was wearing a white long sleeve and long leggings that was used for test patient. She watched as the man scolded the blonde lady for entering the restricted area however she was given a homework to study about the girl in the pod which she accepted. All the resources and files were given to her, even the space pod. Her dull eyes couldn't leave as she kept staring at the blonde lady. She was studying the project in front of her as she typed on the computer then write in the note pad. The Russian lady stated, recording her logs, "Subject shows that she looks human on the outside but on the inside she had circuits and machinery. Her blood color is blue, not red. Could it be her skin is synthetic? What was she doing inside a pod? What kind of being is she?"

While the blonde lady was doing, the man in white lab coat came who is bringing some sandwich to her. He turned to the blue-haired girl who is still staring. He was shaken for being stared at as he turned to the blonde lady, "Don't you think this 'thing' is staring at us?"

"FIrst of all, its not a 'thing', she's a being that looked like a human girl. Second, she's only observing us since it was her first time being awake."

"But doctor where you think she come from? You think she might be an alien from outer space, I mean she is speaking in strange language."

"that might be....but I'm not sure."She concurred as she walked towards the glass door and knelt to her eye level. The blue-haired girl looked up with dull eyes, after observing those two in conversation. THe blonde lady questioned, "Who in the world are you?"

She looked at before mimic the question she was given. She spoke, "Who....in the.....world...are you?"which shocked the two scientist. The assistant said surprised, "She....spoke."

"Not only that, she must have picked up our language during the conversation. I think she's beginning to learn."She turned to the blue girl and asked, "No, I mean who are you?"

She mimic again, "Who....are...you?"

She puts her hand up making her stop. She shake her head and said, "No, when your talking about yourself, you say I....that's how it works. Who am I? I am....."

"You are I....."She replied.

"No no Listen, you are I ...... I am you."She bit her lip, realizing the mistake she just said. THe assistant said, "I don't think you got the words right."She was about to say something until the clueless girl began to register what the blonde lady meant.

She said, pointing to herself, "Who am I?"

The blonde lady smile proudly and said, "Yes yes that's it......I am Dr. Login Reed, See that's how it works. Doc-tor Lo-Gin."

She tried to repeat instead she said, "Lo....Login."

Dr. Login wanted to corrected her but it might be hard for her so she decided to let her call that. "It's alright, take your time and I'm pretty sure you'll learn eventually."

The assistance told her that it wasn't such a good idea which Dr. Login understand before continuing her observation. After the assistant left, she continued study the blue hair girl while eating the sandwich. THe blue girl kept staring at her, curious what she was putting in her mouth. Dr. Login noticed it before staring at her food, she grabbed the plate then walk towards the glass wall. She wondered if this one can eat organic since she has circuitry inside her so she decided to test it out as she said, "If you want my sandwich, I'm going to open the glass wall as long as you don't go anywhere, understand?"

She didn't respond as kept staring at Dr. Lgin and the strange food. Dr. Login touched the keypad lock on the wall which the glass wall opened as she entered and placed the plate in front of her. Dr. Login notice that she was puzzling over why she was given ia sandwich.

She turned to Dr. Login with a face that vaguely asked 'what do I do with it'. She suspected that she's never tried organic food, so Dr. Login showed her how to eat it by doing it herself in front of her. When she saw enough, she followed her example and began to eat her sandwich. As she was nibbling into it, She could've sworn that she saw a faint bright glimmer in her dulled eyes as she continued to eat it tidily. Dr. Login must've detected what she saw when the blue girl first started on the ice cream, and is fascinated by the faint bliss in her eyes.

"How interesting......she seems to be enjoying the food," she murmured, "I guess she can also eat organic food. Fascinating......." as she continued to go back to her work. 

Dr. Login recorded her behavior and her actions which was still the same. While she finished her work, she turned to see the blue-haired girl who placed her hand on the glass wall as if she was fascinated of her surrounding. She wondered if she could let her out which she was not allowed to but wouldn't hurt if she could explore. Dr. Login stood up and opened the glass wall which the blue-haired girl moved away. Dr. Login said, "I know I'm not allowed to.....you can look around my lab but just don't touch anything. Understand?"

She nodded in replied as she began to wander around. She was fascinated by the glass objects she sees and monitors that connects to the system. She also looked at the shelves where there are books. She wasn't suppose to touch them but curiosity got the best of her as she pulled out one book and began looking at them so fast almost like she was scanning for info. She finished one book then pulled out another book then another. Every book she read was complete, she was about to reach another book until she stopped and noticed a book that is not like the others. This one has picture of a strange creature sitting on a water. She tilted her head as she opened the book which shows simple words and pictures. Dr. Login turned to see that she made a mess on the shelves, leaving books lying on the ground. She walk towards to where she was and was surprised that the books she sees were chemistry, psychology, geology, geometry and all the other books related about the earth. Dr login thought, 'Did she read all these books, even my documents?'

Then, she began to notice that the curious girl is staring at the storybook. Dr. Login asked what she was reading which she tugged her lab coat and pointed on the picture. "That's the ugly duckling. See? He's sad because he is all alone and nobody wants him. But on this page, his family hears him crying and they find him. Then the ugly duckling is happy because he knows where he belongs." Dr. Login said to her. She stared at her blankly then at the book, the way she stared at the picture of a baby duck finding family was a concept to her. Dr. Login kept that storybook becoz it belong to her father after he passed away when she was a child. She didn't want to part with it but it helped her remember the days. 

Dr. Login noticed Nova still holding the book and told her if she likes the story then she should keep it. The blue-haired girl kept staring at the picture as Dr. Login thought she should give her a name so that she doesn't have any problem. She tried to think of a name until she stumble book which shows about stars; the page shows about the supernova. SHe decided as she called to her, "Nova.....?"

The blue-haired girl turned to her when she heard the name. Dr. Login placed her hand on her shoulder and said, "From now on, your name is Nova, becoz your the star that shine the brightest." When she gave her a name, the blue-haired girl felt a strange feeling as if she liked that. She pointed herself and spoke, "No-va......Nova, Nova!!"Dr. Login notice her eyes brightened a little and knew she liked the name. " She seems to like the name......Perhaps she's found a little joy that she's never experienced before." Dr. Login mumbled. And so she decided that her name is NOva.

7 Years passed, Dr. Login began to notice that Nova hasn't change one bit which conclude that her body can't age. Not only that, Silas asked about the report regarding about Nova which she explained everything. However, it was not enough and told her to study her more and run more tests. Dr. Login wanted to run some tests but she was fascinated about Nova and wonder she could teach her about the earth. Day by day, she taught her everything before studying her.The more she learned about earth, the more she began to understand faster. Every time Dr. Login wasn't there in the lab due to a call from the assistant in helping fix something in the whole day which made Nova felt cold. SHe doesn't know what the feeling was when Dr. Login wasn't there. As she heard Dr. Login came back, She doesn't know what she felt, it was almost like she was glad to have her in the lab.

The next day, Dr. Login finished checking up on Nova. "It seems your body didn't develop some changes. Well, better head back to work becoz Silas told me I should work out the glitches on the weapon." She said. As she was about to leave before she felt tugged on her lab coat. Dr. Login turned to see Nova gripping her lab coat for no reason. Dr. Login asked, " Is something wrong? Why can't you let go?"

She spoke, "I....I don't know but I was terribly cold when you were gone."

"Cold?"

"But it's warm when your here. I don't know why.....everytime you left the lab I felt this strange feeling in my chest then it felt cold."

Dr, Login blinked at her with surprise when she said feeling. Could it be that she's begining to experience emotion? Then she wonder what she meant that she was cold. Carefully, she thought about it until a realization dawn her. She knelt down to her eye level and said to NOva, "YOu said that you were cold when I'm not here. Do you want to know what your feeling just now?" NOva shook her head which Dr. Login explained what she felt before......was the feeling of loneliness.

Nova went stiff for a moment as she released her lab coat and touched her chest. She knows the definition of loneliness but it was her first time she never felt it. Nova said with understanding, "I was lonely......"Dr. Login sighed and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Nova. If I had known that you were waiting for me, you must have been very lonely here in the lab and being locked up in the glass wall where you were not allowed to leave."She stared at Nova who had a dull lonely eyes on her face, she wanted to stay but she had other jobs to attend to. She thought for a moment then an idea come to her. She sat down in a crossed leg position and said, "I know a song that would help you ease your loneliness. My mother used to sing a lullaby whenever I feel alone or sad."Nova tilted her head, not knowing what a song is as she watched Dr. Login closed her eyes and began to sing.

Nova's eyes widened when she heard her song, the song was soothing it made her feel warm. She didn't understand what it meant as she closed her eyes and swayed to the song she sang.

After Dr. Login ended her song, she opened her eyes to see Nova was staring at her. She said, "That is the Cossack lullaby, its a song of a hero who fought to protect. I'm glad it soothe you."She began to question what song is which she told her that song comes from words which was convey with feelings. Nova mumbled, "Feeling.....?" Then, she felt something touched her head, she looked up only to see Dr. Login stroking her head. She doesn't know why but for some reason it felt....good.

"Would you like to learn the song?" She asked. Nova nodded at her, wanting to learn the song as both of them began to learn the song. 

It's been 10 years since Nova has been developing some new experience taught by Dr. Login. Every day Dr. Login went to the lab to see that she's still kept reading the book while humming the lullaby she sang. Nova was still curious when she was looking at the picture of a duck crying. She wonder what it was leaking from his eyes. As she kept staring at the storybook, Dr. Login walk towards her and opened the glass wall which caught her attention.

Nova looked up to see Dr. Login with a warm smile while petting her head. " NOva? Reading that story again, are you? That's a good girl." She said, then notice that she was still staring at her with a dull look. "Are you happy to be praised like that? If so, you should smile like this." She told her by showing her smile with teeth. Nova stared at her a bit before she mimic her action as she smiled with her teeth. Dr. Login chuckled, "I know it feels strange at first, but in time you'll need to learn how smile on your own."

That's when her assistant came when he saw Dr. Login with Nova. He said, "Sir, I've been thinking, and I believe your methods are mistake. Silas gave us specific orders to study her, not to shape her fiber or aesthetics, and that's all we're tasked to do. I believe proceeding with such a plan will inevitably raised a number of grave ethical concerns."

"ethical concerns? So you consider it unethical for me to teach this child how to laugh? Or if I show her what it means to cry?"

Dr. Login turned to Nova who is still reading the book and wasn't paying attention. "of course it's unethical. THe point remains: her body was provided merely as a convenience for our research." He told her. Dr. Login sighed and said, "A body may influence a soul, just as a soul can shape a body. Just look at her. Everyday she becomes more and more human. To tell you the truth, I have a great number of things in store for this gifted girl. I think she might be the first kind to transcend the bounds of humanity and become a new kind of being. She is indeed the nothing less than the hope of our future personified. She has a good many things yet to learn. And I want her to be a healthy and carefree young girl. Yes, she should live nothing less than human."

THe assistant stared at NOva with a thought, he wanted to tell her but he knew it won't change her mind. Later, everyone seems to be busy working on other weapons that Silas give them. Dr. Login was still busy in her lab, calculating the schematics of a weapon. Nova was sitting on the bed, staring at Dr. Login while humming to herself when she started to mumble in song. Moving on to the next wall, Both of them didn't realize had started to make a few things in the room start to lift up off from where they where placed. Her body also was becoming effected, it started to glow. The light emitting from her, caught her eyes as she turn to look.

Her eyes widen, the glow that outlined her hair and body felt warm. She was surprised, pointing it at something the object on her table, outlined in neon-blue started to lift up. Dr. Login notice her cup was floating as she turned to see Nova's hair glowing which shocked her. She stood up and walk towards to where Nova is, she watched from behind as Nova used her other hand to lift up a book. Dr. Login smiled with amazement, when Nova saw her and realized other objects where doing the same thing. Causing her to gasp, which made everything fall down. Dr. Login told Nova to do it again. Looking back at her hand, try again to get it to work but nothing came. Disappointed from this, Dr. Login decided to help Nova on her special abilities.

Days passed by, Nova has been developing her powers. Dr. LOgin discovered she possess different kinds. Telekinesis which able to lift objects, just like what she did. She posses another ability called Long sense which allows her to expand her senses. She was capable in sensing a presence and energy, like machines or weapons. Dr. Login tested her when she hide her cellphone under the table which Nova used her Long sense and was able to located it. Lastly, Technopathy which allows her to control or speak to machines, more like hacking. One time when Nova noticed that Dr. Login had problem with her computer due to many errors. Nova went over to her and touched the computer which her eyes glow bright blue that shows data and codes. Much to Dr. Login surprise when she saw her eyes glow just like her hair did. It shows the schematics and numbers as if they were data.

Dr. Login was amazed how she was able to fix the computer. She recorded everything she had with NOva. It was the greatest discovery she ever study, she even praised Nova by petting her on the head. Nova seems to appreciate or rather enjoyed her praise when she petted her head. THe next day, Dr. Login let her out the glass wall room as long as she behave and told her not to leave the lab since Silas called them to test the weapon. Nova was still reading a storybook when she saw something flying passed by. She looked up to see a moth which she saw in the book as it landed on the desk. Her curiosity got the best of her as she stood up and wanting to touch the moth but it fly away. Then, she began to chase after it until the lab door opened which Nova got out, trying to catch the moth. As she stop chasing, she couldn't help but quite notice that she is no longer in the lab instead in the hallway. She had no idea where she was as she began to wander around. She saw a door which she tilted her head and notice the key pad panel. Although, she doesn't know the password however she placed her hand on the panel as she used her technopathy to open it. 

She entered in somekind of big room where she sees few people in lab coat. No one seem to notice as Nova wander around without letting anyone notice. As she was looking around, she saw Dr. Login with the other lab coats and a strange man who had markings on her face. She stood behind the contraption and watched what they're doing. "How was the project going?" the man with marking said. The man in lab coat said, "Well, Silas the gun had some upgrade, it can shoot lasers and bullets. It also had tracking detector to detect intruder." 

The man called Silas nodded as he told them to ready the test. Dr. Login pressed the button to let out two training robots. One was holding a original gun while the other is a Mech gun. Then, Dr. Login and her assistant began the test which made the two robots point each other. One of them was about to shoot however the robot holding the mech gun shot it quickly which blow the head. Everyone clapped their hands by their achievement. Silas was impressed that the Mech gun was working well and order to make them more. They understood and was about to take the Mech gun however the robot which was holding began to fritz and glitch. Silas asked what's going on as the assistant told him that it must have been bug on the programming.  Without warning, it began to shoot randomly, causing the scientist and soldiers to dodge away. two soldiers were about to shoot the robot but it went so quick that it shot two men. Silas and the others manage to avoid it and ordered one of them to shut it down. One of them tried but it didn't respond when he saw the robot was pointing at him until Dr. Login save him before she was shot on the shoulder.

Nova felt a feeling when she saw Dr. Login got shock. She tried to get up when she saw the robot was about to shoot her. Seeing that Dr, Login was in danger, the soldier was about to jump in and intervene. But before anyone could move, without any warning what so ever, Nova's body immediately reacted as she lunged forward, taking the pole that was on the ground, with her speed, jumped in, knocked the Mech gun out of it's hands before she used the pole to swipe it at its feet which caused the robot to fall and land on its back. Then, she thrust her hand into the chest thus removing the chip-box that was controlling it. Dr. Login was shocked that Nova got out of the lab. She watched as Nova tossed the chip-box then turned to her with a dull look which almost like a look of concern. She knelt down and stared at her wound on her shoulder. "Ar--Are you alright, Login?"

"Nova....How were you able to do that? How were you able to stand, let alone run and defend me like that? I didn't teach you that........ How did you do it?"

"I... I don't know, I just did. My body just. .. reacted. Whether it was by impulse or reaction or something, I don't really know for sure. But I couldn't just sit there and let you get hurt, I just had to do something to stop that machine. I'm sorry for.....leaving the lab."

Until, she was enveloped with a hug which Nova stood there stoically. Dr. Login said with relief, "I don't care what happened but.....I'm glad you didn't get hurt."Nova felt an odd tingling feeling where she had touched her. She didn't know what to do, but seeing what she was doing. She slowly wrapped her arms around Dr. Login and hugged her tightly. She doesn't know why she do it but she felt like it was a good feeling as She relaxed into her hug comfortably. Both of them didn't notice Silas was staring at the robot that she terminated. A small grin appeared in his face with fascination as the assistant told him about the error but he wasn't paying attention. THe assistant noticed it and said, "Um....Sir?"

Silas said with a smirked, staring at the blonde lady hugging the cyborg girl, "Men, It seems we found ourselves a new project."

Few months later, Dr. Login couldn't help but was shocked that Silas began to test Nova abilities which was impressive. It was a cruel experiment that she could barely withstand them. Over the years, She was able to hack through the computer in 5 minutes, dodge bullets and learned how to fight and used a weapon taught by him. Later It was time for test, she was now wearing a soldier outfit (A/N From assaination classroom battle suit but dark green)and her hair was cut into a mid-length hair. they watched as she fought of 4 training robots. She manage to dodge their moves as she did a cartwheel then do a swing kick which destroys 2 robots. She got into her stance when she notice 2 robots were shooting at her which she dodge and run in full speed. She grabbed her knife and aimed at its chest, the last robot was about to shoot her until Nova used TK power to lift the robot then curled her hand into a fist which it destroyed the last robot.

Everyone were amazed by her abilities, Silas found himself a new weapon which he called her Agent Reaper. His men agreed to his ideas except Dr. Login. She didn't like what Silas visioned Nova as an object. She confronted Silas that it was not a good idea to send her out of the field and how she was against in teaching her how to kill. However, Silas told her that it was her ideas that tried to teach her about the earth but didn't like her to teach her to act like human, not only that giving her a name as well. He said to her that even she doesn't bear emotion but she is only a machine. Silas questioned if she had anything else to ask. The looks on Dr. Login face felt very frightened that she knew he couldn't defy her so she decided to oblige. 

Dr. Login learned that Silas have been training NOva in the art of fencing and other sword skills but later she learned how to shoot a gun and after that martial arts. Nova have been trained how to defend herself, which later becomes on how to defeat her opponent and the final stage is how to kill her enemy. She couldn't believe that Silas trained her to be an assassin. What she read from the files that Nova killed her first person. He was an dirty boss whose job was smuggling illegal weapons. She stole the weapons, information and data as she brought it back to Silas. 

  When Nova killed her first person, She didn't felt bad for everything she did. She just killed 12 targets in every nation then steels some data. Silas was pleased by her improvements but Dr. Login was against it. She hated the idea of having NOva to torture and killed people. Unfortunate cases that can't be solve since Nova was able to clean the scene of the crime without evidence. Silas was in the main room which Nova came back with her bike as she got off and gave the USB drive that she stole from military. Silas said, "Well done, Agent Reaper....Mech is very much in your debt." That was the beginning of a new organization called MECH.

Later, Nova was back in Dr. Login lab, awaiting for Silas order. Nova was still looking at the book of Ugly Duckling that had a picture of a duckling with his family. She began to questioned herself about the outside world. Ever since she was first sent outside the field. While she was sent out on the field for the first time, she began to notice her surrounding. Things she never seen before like flowers, trees, birds, animals and other buildings. She had never seen the sky and the sun before. It was the most amazing thing she ever seen however Silas'order was to focus and not get distracted by anything. When she first found her target, she was able to dodge and attack the men that was guarding the leader. She was able to killed the leader whom he was smuggling weapons. She contacted her men, ordering them to retrieve the weapons before the police arrived. She was able to wipe her messed clean without evidence.

Nova didn't felt bad about it since she couldn't feel anything from the terror and fear from every target she saw in their faces. She doesn't understand the look of fear from the people she met. Dr. Login came and saw Nova was sitting on the floor, staring at the book. She walk towards her and asked what's wrong. Nova turned to her and said, "I don't understand......I went outside to see that they're so many wonders I ever discover. Yet, I was told to followed his order even though I wanted to see more. Also, I killed my target but they are different from others. Why do I do it? "

Dr. Login body tensed when she asked that, she's been so curious is now questioning herself. Dr. Loign explained, "Nova.....I know its very hard to do things what they told you. One day, you need to realize what was right or wrong. You need to learn to choose for your own."

"Why? I belong to you......"

"Nova, Listen you belong to...no one, Your life is your own. You are a person and you need to depend on yourself. You can decide your own freely, not let anyone decide for you."

Nova thought about what Dr. Login meant which was puzzling to her. She stared back at the picture and pointed, "May I ask you? What is.....Family?" Dr. Login understand why she's been staring at the book becoz she was curious what a family is. 

"Well, they are people with whom you have such a shared value system. Sometimes, it can be relative or reminded of them. Someone who cares for them, understand their feelings and even love them. They treasured themselves becoz they care for one another."

Nova's eyes widened when Dr. Login mentioned the word love which was a concept to her. She questioned what is love. Dr. Login doesn't know how to answer it so she explained, "It's complicated but I do know that no matter what, you have someone to count on. It's unconditional and makes you feel good on the inside. You can trust the person you care and are comfortable around them. It's like your heart tells you that it is good for you."

Nova asked how would she know if she could feel love which Dr. Login told her that she will know when the time was right. She was about to asked until the soldier came and told that Nova has a another mission which was located in New York. Nova gave the book of Ugly Duckling as she began to set off to her mission. The target she was about to assassinate was a man who works at Tech Enterprises and cooperating with a terrorist for selling illegal intelligence. Her job was to kill him and steal the disk that contains all the hacking system across all nations and organizations. She thought about Dr. Login told her which she's still puzzled by her answer. One month later, she found his location and confronted the man. When she was about to kill her target until something change her when the man had a child who came into the room. At first, she wonder if its right to kill a man who had a child. She was ordered to kill but she hesitated as if something deep inside her mind is telling her that it wasn't right. With that, she spared his life by telling to take his family and hide far away as she left into the night and falsely reported to Silas that he got away.

When she got back from the mission, her thoughts were filled with questions which she couldn't fully understand is that why would she killed a man who happens to be innocent and had a family. The only way to get some answer is asking her superior, Silas. She approached to Silas and his two men who were in the main room. Silas questioned, "What happened? My intel tells me that you let the target escape and didn't get the disk......why didn't follow your order?" Nova looked up and replied, "There was an error......but I don't understand why do you want him dead?"Silas startled that she asked him the question. Silas said, "Its not in your program to question me. You are meant to follow orders, not question me."

"Still, I don't understand.....why do I need to kill him? He didn't do anything......I think he is innocent and didn't do anything wrong."

"That may be.....its still your mission and you will intend to follow that order. You were trained to complete the mission, not to let the target escape.You will fulfill your mission."

"But....."

"Agent Reaper, you were made to follow my orders and you will complete your mission, Understood?"He was about to leave when Nova hand was curled into a fist, something she never felt before; anger. Nova answered, "No..."Silas halted from his tracks and turned to see Nova with an angry look.

"What?"

"No, I won't do it. "

"Are you defying my order?"

"Yes, I was thinking and I believe he doesn't deserve to be terminated. I can't just kill a man who had a family. It's not right?!"

"Don't be ridiculous......your a machine; a robot don't think or decide their own."

Nova glared ferociously back at him and said defiantly, "I AM NOT A ROBOT.....I AM A PERSON AND I AM ALIVE. DR. LOGIN SAID MY LIFE WAS MY OWN."

Silas and his men were taken back by her outburst. He realized that she is beginning to questioned her existence. Not only that, it was the first time she disobeyed his order. His face darkened, feeling angry that somehow Dr. Login taught her how to defy her and learn to act on her own as if she was human. He said, "I see.....you starting to have a defect on your program."before grabbing something beside his soldier. Nova said confusedly, "Defect? I am not defecting I'm......"

What happened next occurred much too fast for Nova to handle; Silas grabbed her left shoulder while lifting an electric prod in his other hand. Then, without warning, he roughly pressed his prod against her chest and a strong jolt made Nova almost jump in shock, which sent 40 thousand volts in her body. When it was all over, Nova's chest smoked, leaving a burn mark as she drop to her knees and fell unconsciously on the ground. She could her Silas voice, ordering his men to take her to the lab before her eyes were shut.

She doesn't know how long she was unconscious but she felt something wet. She slowly opened her eyes only to see she was in somekind of tube. She tried to move but felt something wrap around her wrist, then her other wrist, and then her ankles. She notice the cables were attached to the cuffs, preventing her from moving. What she also notice that she was wearing a collar and was back to her white clothes again. She had no idea how she was able to breathe as she looked up to see Silas standing in front of two scientist in the computer. Nova tried smashing her fists against the glass to open it, but it wouldn't budge. That's when a door opened from behind, revealing to be Dr. Login who came in. She saw Nova inside the container, floating in liquid as cables connected themselves to her body.

"Stop this at once, you can't do this?!"Dr. Login demanded. Silas turned to her and said, "I'm afraid I cannot do that."

"But why?! WHy would you do this to her after the progress we made?!

"YOu and I know very well the crisis if she's beginning to defect. We don't need those who are defective."

"This is your fault?! You're the one who forced her to undergo all of those horrible cruel experiment in the first place? Who wouldn't lash out like that if they were treated in such awful matter? Who in their right mind wouldn't fight back?

"Nevertheless, she remains a threat to us all so long as she still defective. She needs to be reprogram."

"Silas, you can't do this to her, she's not a robot."

Silas turned to her and said,"That's not all......You ignored my direct orders and raised her as you saw fit even when I told you to study her. Instead, You were trying to make her into a human and learn to think of her own, now weren't you?"

Dr, Login said, stunned with tone in her voice, "No, I was just---"

"What a shame. This girl is a threat to us, YOur ideas are fanatical and your methods reckless. Even the thought you might taught Nova how to defy order from me made her rebel against humanity was utterly unforgivable."He said disappointment.

"Do you have any idea at all why I put so much effort into raising her as a human?! It's becoz I ---"Dr. Login said, trying to reason with him. Unfortunately, Silas called two soldier as they grabbed Dr. Login with both arms. " PLaced Dr. Login in detention and make sure she doesn't leave the lab." Silas ordered as they began to pulled her away from the lab.

"No STOP SILAS! SILAS!" She said, struggling from their grip. NOva saw Dr. Login as she tried to break the glass just to reach her which to no avail. Dr. Login cried in desperation, "DOn't destroy Nova! I BEG YOU! PLEASE!" before the door closed behind them. Silas shook his head with disappointment. "DR. Login is a fool to teach this machine to be a human. SHe is only scientific curiosity; a weapon for our cause. Nothing more. Wouldn't you agree....Nova?" He said, turning to Nova with a sickening grin. Nova never felt scared in her life as she watched him order one of the scientist to shut her down. "NOw then, its time for you to go to sleep....Permanently." He said his final word to her. The scientist pressed the button which she felt a jolt in her body.

She tried to fight her way out of the cables but in the end they just shocked her. She tried not to scream but the pain was just too much to bare. The electricity also seem to affect NOva's vision as she slowly drifted unconscious. It was her first time she ever felt pain that never experience before. She opened her eyes just a tiny bit to see Silas's evil smile before everything went dark. She was no longer moving as she float unconsciously in the tube.

In her mindscape, she was floating in the deep void of darkness. She couldn't move her body but she felt her mind was slipping away. She wasn't able to feel it but could still feel the strange electrical energy following through her body through the cables. 

 'I feel not good. I feel bad. Could this be -- Is this hurt? Why would they hurt me?' She thought to herself when she first felt pained.

She slowly opened her dull eyes to see images which shows memories of the time Dr. Login took care of her. Where she taught her about the Earth, learning how to sing a lullaby and everything she spend time with Dr. Login.

She seems glad at first when she saw her smile before it began to fade away. She notice that every image are beginning to erased as if the black thing is eating away the light. Nova tried to reached out just to stop it but the darkness clouded the images, one by one.  

''What's happening? Why is my memories fading away? ARe they trying to erased my memories? They're going to turn me into their mindless puppet. No....I don't want it.....I don't want to die.......I don't want to disappear.....I want.....to LIVE.' She screamed in the darkness as everything went bright white.

After, The two scientists were still trying to erase every memory until the screen began to alarmed loudly. They had no idea what was going on, for some reason the computers are going haywire and the flat-line energy readings were off the chart. He asked to his assistant what's happening. No one notice Nova clutched her hands into fists as the shock pain inside her began to glow.

He replied, "I don't know I'm getting a very high radiation level, unlike anything I have ever seen! Radiating from-" he suddenly stopped, eyes widened when he saw Nova's body began to glow along with the container which let out a burst of light that exploded the lab along with the two scientists. The siren began to blare loudly as the 5 soldiers head to where the lab is. As they arrived, they saw the lab was burned everything and two scientists sprawled on the ground. They turned to see the container, only to NOva standing with her body glowing and the electrical currents surrounding her as she roughly pulled the cables from her restraints in order to free herself. The 5 soldiers ready their guns as she slowly lifted her head, revealing a glowing blue eyes filled with rage.

THey're about to shoot her when Nova's speed lunged at them which knocked 2 soldier and used her TK power (which her hand shows electrical current, like the picture from above) to snatch the gun then shoot 3 soldiers. She was in berserk as if her mind was lost and was clouded with anger. She wandered in the hallway as she began to go rampage. Her mind was like an empty room with nothing inside. She began to attack aggressively at the soldiers and the scientists, whatever is standing her way. NO one was able to stop her or restrain her. She also destroyed the computers with her gun which was now engulf in flames before it was out of bullet. She clattered the gun into the ground as she let out a cry of anger. Nova was about to head somewhere when a door was opened from behind, only to reveal Dr. Login. 

  "NOVA!! " Dr. Login called out. Nova turned around only to show her bloodlust look on her glowing eyes.

Dr Login had a horrified and regretful look. She witness the destruction she caused in the facility. Not only that, she saw the lust of anger in her face as if she was feeling betrayed for torturing her. "you must have been scared, you poor thing." Dr. Login said sympathetic. She felt terrible of what they did to her as she went closer to NOva only to grabbed her on the throat and tightening her grip. Dr. Login struggled, feeling her throat tightened.

As Nova was about to kill her until she gazed at Dr. Login with the same eyes that had once in her mind. She could see her emotions in them, the sincere sadness and regret. "I'm sorry that I was powerless to stop Silas but I want to help you. Please trust me. Please give me just one more chance. Please. "She begged before she notice her gripped is slowly tightened.

"I wanted to save you because I have known from the second that we met that you are special, that you deserve to be who you are. I care about you because your my family and....I love you, NOva."

The moment she said that, Nova felt something stir inside her chest, something in response to her words. Dr. Login was about to lose conscious when she felt her throat being released. She coughed for a minute before looking up, only to see Nova wavering her body as if she was hesitating. Dr. LOgin tried to touch her but she staggered back when she felt an intense fear coming from Nova. "How cruel.....they did terrible things to you and trying to remake you. Let me get those things out of you." She said to her. She gently raised her right hand and placed it on her face. Nova doesn't understand why but she felt a faint warmth coming from her hand. Nova watched as she slowly removed the collar around her neck which releases the cuffs from her wrist and ankles. The moment it was removed, Her eyes stop glowing as she calmed down. 

Nova could suddenly feel her emotions in her mind as Dr. LOgin watched her eyes widen. She was able to feel her emotions, her surprise at seeing that Dr. Login was relieved, that she was able to feel again. When she regained herself, she notice her surrounding and saw blood on her hand, even her face and outfit. She realized the damaged she caused as opened her mouth, with a quivering look.

"Login.....I...I" She said feeling terrible. Before Nova suddenly found herself being held close to Dr. Login as she embraced her. The emptiness she had felt was gone with her return. She could feel her love and relief flood through her mind, causing her to slowly wrapped her arms around her waist as she returned her hug and buried her face into her chest. Nova felt one of her hands being placed on the back of her head, her fingers weaving themselves through her hair.

"Its alright.....everything is alright. Your just scared and you only did it to survive." Before releasing from their hug as Dr. LOgin knelt to her eye level and said, "But don't worry. I will protect you No matter what happens. I'm going to get you out of this awful facility so that no one will hurt you again." 

Nova was glad to see Dr. Login before she heard footsteps, only to see 4 soldiers came when they saw her with the cyborg. They demanded Dr. Login to hand over NOva. She looked around trying to find a way out through the hallway when she saw the elevator beside them. She turned to Nova, "Nova! Run for the elevator! Go!" as they make a run towards the elevator. 

  "Seize them, hurry! Do not let them escape! Shoot them if they resist! " one of the soldiers said as they began shooting. Both of them made it to the elevator, Dr. Login tried to activate the panels before multiple shots coming from their guns. Dr. Login was unable to do the control panel, not with the soldiers are shooting at them. Nova notice her trouble as she turned to the soldiers who were still shooting. She did the one thing she never done before; help Dr. Login. She saw Nova's hair began to glow as she used her Tk power to ripped the metal wall and placing it in front of them, shielded from the bullets.

Dr. Login was surprised that she was using her power to shield them. Nova turned to where the control panel was as she lifted her other hand using her technopathy to hack into the elevator. The elevator closes the door in front of them. Nova's hair stopped glowing as she turned to Dr. Login with a proud smile. "Thank you Nova......I'm glad you were able to use your power for something useful. I'm proud of you." She said when she noticed Nova's questioning look on her face.

"Is something wrong?"

"I don't know what came over me, when I saw your in trouble......I felt the urge of helping you. I don't know what it is....."

Dr. Login turned to her and said, "What you feel must be your instincts when you reacted to use your power to help me. That's what urged you to protect the ones you wanted to save, just like how you spared your last target."Nova was lost in her thoughts when she began to asked, "Tell me....you went back to save me, Why?"Dr. Lowered her head then let out a sincere smile on her face. "Every life is important...no matter who they are or what they are. Never leave a life to perish, there is good in anything."

"But I'm not really human. Not many humans can use energy."

Dr. Login places a hand on her shoulder and said, "You are different. That's what's so amazing about you. You can choose who you wanted to be. You don't have to be like Agent Reaper, SIlas or me. You can be someone even better.  You can be you. A healthy and carefree girl."Nova felt touched by her words but she recalled the damaged of what she did in hallway.

"But I hurt many people.....Silas trained me to be a weapon of destruction. It is not something I'm not proud of."She lowered her head in shame.

Dr. Login then grabbed both her hands and lifted to show her. "You know something......instead of using them, why not used it to help them? Protect those who cannot protect themselves. Instead of feeling bad for the life you took, you should probably think about the ones you saved."

Nova was stunned by her words. 'My status and purpose, none of that matter. She wanted me to be something more. This could change everything.'She thought to herself.

"Beside, You have a big heart. That goes beyond any human or creature that I know." Dr. Login added. Nova lifted her head which reveal soft smile appears on her the first time, much to Dr. Login surprise. NOva recalled how Dr. Login smiled at her so she thought it felt right when she said something nice which made her understand the purpose. Dr. Login was grateful to see her smile growing slowly across her face, not only that her eyes what showed dulled and loneliness was now replaced with happiness and joy in it.

Nova asked, "Back there, Is it true of what you said?"

Dr. Login said, "yes, Nova. My words were true......its just like the ugly duckling who was lost and now found by a family. Look at that, it seems I found you since your awakening and became a part of mine. YOur my family, Nova and I will do whatever it takes to protect you."

The next thing she knew, Nova hugged her, much to Dr. Login shocked then a warm smile at her. She wraps her arm around her, hugging her back and patting her back gently. Breaking the hug, Nova look up at her, Dr. Login pats her head.

Dr. Login said, "I see.....your beginning to learn about our earth culture."Nova replied, "I learned it from a great teacher."

"And Don't worry NOva. Once we leave this place, I'm going to show you the world, the places you've never been unlike the mission you were sent. YOu will see how beautiful this planet is.Trust me."

 As the they manage to reach to the surface, Dr. Login hold her NOva's hand and head to the main room. While running, Nova saw the room that she passed by what used to be her lab where the pod and all the memories she had with her. She didn't look back before made it to the main room. Dr. Login notice no one was there except the vehicles, it was due to NOva's berserk which caused the people inside to evacuate. She saw the soldier jeep as she dragged NOva towards to the vehicle. "NOva, do you think you can use your power to hack into this car?" Dr. Login asked. Nova shrugged blankly at her as she placed her hand which shows a tron-line spreading the vehicle then let out a rumble sound. Nova turned to see Dr. Login with a nod of approval as they were about to leave when they realize they're not alone.

"Dr. Login, Didn't I have you detained?"

They turned to see Silas and 4 soldiers from earlier, stood behind him."Look at what she has done here. And yet you still defend it? Well, no matter I'll just....have to take things into my own hands." Silas said. Dr. Login went over to the front and raised both her hands at Nova, showing she was protecting her. "No, you won't. I'll do whatever it takes! I am going to protect Nova! " She said to them.

"This is truly annoying. Very well then, if that's how you want it to be....."

It was then that it happened.

Bang!

A single shot was fired off and blood sprayed in front of NOva. Dr. Login who turned to shielded her, fell in front of Nova and it wasn't until she realized that she was screaming. It turned out Silas shot DR. login, realizing that he was planing to shoot NOva instead she used her body as a shield in order to protect her. NOva rushed over to her side and turned her body only to see a large red splotch forming on the front of her chest, staining her lab coat. Her features were pale and sickly. "Login?!" She said with concerned. She swear her tiny heart nearly stopped until she realized that the blond-haired lady was still breathing, albeit barely.

"Login?" Nova tried timidly, voice shaking. Her eyes fluttered open, taking her awhile to focus on Nova."N-ova?" she gurgled in surprise before coughing a bit and causing blood to dribble down from her lips then fainted.  

Silas took a step forward while 4 soldiers still pointing their guns at her. Silas said disappointment, "how foolish she was? Teaching a machine how to defy orders, if you hadn't obey my orders then she would have been dead. This is what happens to traitor. Now you will come with me and we will make sure you obey my orders."

The 4 soldiers were about to get NOva when they saw her hair glowed then out of nowhere, a glass of shards that was scattered on the ground began to float and stabbed the 4 soldiers from their body, arms and legs as they were dropped dead, dropping their weapons on the ground. She also make sure she destroyed 3  Mech guns except one save for last. Silas saw what happened as he turned to see Nova stood up in front of Dr. Login's body as she glared fiercely at him with a murderous look and got into her fighting stance.

"So this how it suppose to be.....you have so much potential yet you know so little." Silas said as he got into his fighting stance as well. They lunged each other and began to fight in a fierce battle. Nova throw some punches but Silas manage to evade her attacks. Silas was about to do a roundhouse kick however Nova anticipate his move as she did roundhouse kick as well, colliding each other before skidding them back each other. Every time both of them fought each other, Nova was still able to anticipate his move.

Both of them breathed heavily from their fight, Silas was impressed by her anticipation that he taught her. Silas regained his posture and said, "I'm amazed you were able to anticipate my move. Perhaps I taught you quite well as an assassin. YOu would make great agent if you hadn't been wasteful with a traitor."

Then, Nova's blood boiled with anger when she spoke badly about her. "WASTEFUL?!" She said angrily. Nova's eyes snapped open to reveal that her pupils were gone and her irises were glowing brightly same goes for her hair that reacted to her emotions, she pointed her open hand at him as bunch of cords and wire appeared beneath him. 

Silas was wrapped around by cords and was squeezing him tightly. She slowly curled her fingers as though she was squeezing him. She picked up the Mech gun that didn't destroyed yet as she walk towards him.

"How should I use this, Silas? Should I use it to take revenge on you, the monster who hurt many people and Login?!"

Silas notice his vision began to blur and was suffocating from the cords that was binding him.

"Is that what I should do, Silas?! Is it?!"

Nova was staring at him and notice his breathing is getting heavy. She wanted to make him pay for hurting Dr. Login, she wanted to make him suffer. Before she stopped, NOva realized what she was doing. She looked over to where Dr. Login who is still breathing then at Silas who was suffocating from the grip. She wanted to kill him but she knew it was wrong. Dr. Login taught to her to realize what is right or wrong. So, she shut her eyes as her hair stopped glowing then she slowly lowered her hand, releasing Silas from the cords. Silas breathed with relieve before she punched him hardly in the stomach instantly bringing him to his knees.

He coughed with blood as he looked up at NOva whose eyes are no longer glowing but was glaring at him and holding the gun. He said weakly, "Are you going to shoot me with that weapon? THat Dr. Login made....." Nova's body flinched when he mentioned that. She took a deep breathe then let it out as swing her gun at his face which rendered him unconscious. 

She loomed over to his unconscious body said, "No, That's not me. I wanted to.....but not like this. Even I wanted to kill you, but it will only make things worst. Beside we're beyond sympathy at this point,......" She lifted the MEch gun as she adjusted something into the device then pointed to the direction to where all the computers and weapons are before she added, ".....we're beyond humanity." 

AS she began shooting at the computers and weapons, Silas covered his head from the shots as she kept shooting around her until every data, every information about her abilities and every weaponry is destroyed before everything around her were engulf in flames. Satisfied of her work as she tossed the Mech gun into fire and turned to Silas who was unconscious before skidding back Dr. Login.

"Login," She called holding her, not noticing how much blood she was getting on her. "Login! please, get up!"

Groaning she looked over at her, her eyes a bit widening when she saw her.

"Nova," she greeted weakly before coughing up a lot more blood than last time, the force of her hacking shaking his entire frame. Even with her meager medical knowledge that she learned from the book, Nova could see that she was having trouble breathing. She hugged the blonde-haired lady not even caring about getting blood on her as the lady emitted a slight hiss.

"L-Login, I'm sorry I wasn't able to save you! If I had knew he had gun, I....."

"Shhhh, It's alright. You tried your best. All will be well," she soothed, hugging Nova despite the pain she was likely in and stroking her head. She could hear an odd ragged sound emanating from her chest as she breathed. Gently, she drew Nova away, and looked her right in the eyes.

"I'm sorry. I'm afraid this is as far as I can go.....Nova, once your far away from here, I want you to explore new things and see the world."

Nova shook her head frantically. "No! I'm not leaving you! You taught me how to be loyal to others! I'm not gonna leave you!"

A soft smile crept across her face as a fond light entered her eyes. "I know, but I also taught you to trust your those who helped you and have faith in them, too. Can you have a little faith in me right now and trust me to make the right decision?"

Shamed, Nova nodded mutely. Nova didn't realize that she was so close into feeling sad until she blinked when a single droplet made its way down her cheek. Something she never experience before; Tears.

Dr. Login was relieved that Nova understood when she felt something wet in her face. She looked up only to see NOva crying in her face. She was.....amazed that Nova learned to cry. Her eyes that was once dull before was replaced with many emotions.

"Login," Nova sobbed.

"Your crying......I'm proud you were able to learn how to feel by your own. It's a shame I can't became your family but you won't be alone. One day you might find another family who cared for you."

"But Login, I'm scared," She whispered. "What if those bad men might hurt me or if there's more of them out there?"

"Nova," she said. "I know the world outside this cage is scary but—" she coughed some more though it wasn't as bad as the previous time, but that somehow didn't make Nova feel better. "—you need to remember that there are both good and bad people in this world. Don't look at them or Silas and think that the rest of the world is like that. Not everyone acts like they did today."

"But how do I know if they aren't like these guys?"

She smiled softly her unfocused eyes twinkling and said, "You've got to have faith, Nova. Faith and trust. Promise me you'll remember that."

Nova hadn't understood what she had meant then but she promised her anyways. "I promise."

"Shhh...don't cry," she said softly, reaching out with one of her hands and wiping away her tears. "Don't cry, Nova. No matter how far I am wherever I go, I'll always be a part of you. Even though you cannot see me but I'll always be with you......in your heart."

Nova felt her warmth hand that soothed her.

"Live on.....Nova...."Dr. Login said, smiling one last time before shutting her eyes and moving no more, dropping her hand from her face. Nova noticed she wasn't waking up as she tried to shake her but no response. She realized that she was no longer alive.

Tears immediately filled her eyes once more as she hugged the blonde-haired lady not even caring about getting blood on her as she finally let out an agonizing scream. "LOGIN!!!!!!!" She cried as tears streamed down her face.  

She was crying non-stop while hugging Dr. Login in her arms. Her feelings of sadness and grieved, grow so intense that it pained to see the one who taught her to live is gone. She stayed in that position and bringing their foreheads together, grieving the loss of someone important to her.

Later, She managed to escape from facility using the vehicle before everything was burned. She watched the facility engulfed flames, a place where she was imprisoned and being used as a weapon. She turned to her left side, not only she escaped but also brought Silas and Dr. Login's body out of there safely. She didn't bother why she saved him but she knew she can't just leave him there. She hated the idea of doing the right thing for the wrong reason. 

  In the distance, Nova could hear the faint wail of sirens and helicopter; someone must have saw the smoke that appeared in the sky. Nova turned to Dr. Login as she brought her forehead to hers. She whispered sadly, "Login....." before running away from the vehicle. She took one last look to where Dr. Login is, tears forming from her eyes as she run away into the dessert, disappearing into the night.

Hours went by, She doesn't know how long has she been wandering in the dessert. DEspite the long road but she kept going. She wiped the blood(not hers) on her  traumatize face and didn't bother to clean the blood off her white outfit since it was already dry and can't be removed. None of that matters to her anymore. Nothing could compare to the pain of receiving those except the heart wrenching betrayal of trust that had accompanied those unpleasant experiences. It had also taught her to never place her trust so blindly in other beings beside herself. For that reason, she has lost faith and trust in humanity. While she was walking, her head felt dizzy all of a sudden almost like a wave is clearing her mind. She wonder if it must be the side effect of the reprogramming as she shook of her dizziness and continued walking. 

She didn't stop walking until she came upon a sign that read 'Jasper, Nevada'. Her eyes widened.  How in the world did she walk that far? And how wasn't she tired?

She was breathing heavily and after so long, She let out an agonizing scream like before.

  "AHHHHHH!" She screamed as fresh hot tears streamed down her face. She collapsed on her knees and buried her face in her hands. She looked back at the Jasper sign.

"Live on." She muttered the word Dr. Login told her as she slowly stood up and started walking. She was about to start a new life and tried to forget it. She just didn't realize how much it was going to change.
