It's been almost over a week since June found out the Autobots. And to tell the truth, She notice Jack don't really look forward to her unexpected visits. Nova understand that she worries for Jack. Visiting the base at every opportunity she can. From the looks of it, Miko doesn't like it and Raf has no opinion, but Jack is in between. He is not bothered at his mother's coming, but he is not particular fond of it either. Nova can see his exasperation when he finds out that she drove to base.

June was also shocked when she found out about her secret, but has backed off slightly.Just for the fact that she was visiting a lot lately and personal boundaries felt lost, plus she was asking Nova a lot of questions and for some reason she must've thought her hair was out of place or something because she was flattening it down with her palm, which she seems to be comfortable when she's around. The next day, NOva and Jack are at the base. She was sitting on the couch with Campy beside her, reading a history book that Raf lend her from the library. She fascinated in ancient history of Earth. While she was reading, she didn't notice Optimus looking her way

Their relationship had gotten better over the past few days. Nova was more open and slightly more expressive around him, but whenever they were around others, her features immediately contorted back into her usual blank mask. Of course, he didn't fully understand what made her act like that but he felt that it was slowly making progress after discovering her past. Then, as if sensing his gaze, Nova turned her blue-colored gaze his way as she placed the book on the table and stretching her body before making her way over to where her proud guardian stood.

"Hello, Nova," the red and blue bot greeted without turning when she stood only a couple yards away.'Cheater,'She thought in a sort of amused-exasperated way, thinking of the glances he had been shooting her way. Yes, She had noticed but had decided against calling him out on them.

"Been keeping busy? Optimus" She prodded.

"Quite," he replied evenly, leaning down and offering a gigantic servo for Nova to climb into. Allowing him to place her on his shoulder, She watched as Optimus continued his previous task, typing something away into the monitor before him. She couldn't understand what was he was typing; it was all in Cybertronian. But some curious part of her brain tried making sense of the odd Cybertronian symbols on the monitor before them anyways. She recalled back at the NEmesis when she used her technopathy to understand the language.

Now, She wasn't unable translate it since she only understand a few words. Although, It all looked so interesting to her. It was a mystery that she wanted to solve but didn't have the right pieces to complete even a section of the puzzle. "Hey, Optimus, what does that symbols mean?" Nova suddenly asked him, pointing at a couple of interestingly shaped symbols in the far right-hand corner in upper part of the screen. He paused in his motions, looking to where she was pointing. When he found it, She noticed how the corner of his lip plates twitched a little.

"What?" Nova prodded like a curious cat, wanting to know what amused the Prime so much. "What is it?"

His optics seemed to brighten microscopically as he informed her evenly, "Those symbols you are pointing to are actually my designation."

Nova blinked in astonishment. "Really? That's neat." Even though NOva could not read Cybertronian, the mystery of the foreign language appealed greatly to her. Pausing for a second, She eventually asked him, "What would my name look like in Cybertronian?"

Yeah those was definitely the beginnings of a smile on his face, and Nova had to admit that while small, it still made him look pretty nice. Less doom and gloom; the lightness causing the years of stress to seemingly evaporate a little from his features.

Wait, what?

Mentally shaking her head, Nova focused back on what Optimus was doing as he hit what she guess was the enter button and moved to another line and added a small group of symbols at the bottom of whatever he was typing.

"Here," he rumbled. "That would be what your name looks like in Cybertronian."

"Wow," Nova said after a minute. "It looks like flames."

And indeed the swirling symbols did indeed look reminiscent of swirling tongues of flame. The irony of the design made her amaze as Nova mentally tried to commit the information to memory. She never know when knowing how to spell your name in Cybertronian could help.

"Indeed it does," Optimus agreed in his usual baritone before quietly going back to work as she watched him. After minutes later, Ratchet called from his usual place at the monitors, causing Nova and himself to briefly share a look, before he walked over to see what the mech wanted, careful not to jostle his charge from his shoulder plates. Ratchet detected an Energon located in another place which suggested they should go scouting for it. Optimus nodded before turning to Bumblebee who will come along.

As they prepare for departure, he turned his attention to his charge, who had remained silent up until now. "Duty calls, it seems," she commented dryly, smiling in a half-sparked way as she seemed a tad disappointed.

"So it does," he agreed, feeling equally disappointed though trying not to show it as he set her down on the platform. "Stay safe," she called, eliciting a small nod from him before he turned and led the way through the ground bridge. After hours passed, NOva was back into reading her history book until she heard Ratchet calling Arcee.

"Arcee," Ratchet called from his usual post at the computer system. "A vehicular form is approaching."

"Decepticons?" Jack asked curiously.

Ratchet enhanced the signal which shows a familiar car driving through the dessert. "Mom," Jack sighed.

"Again!?" Arcee added, looking at Jack. "She worries..." Jack defended, approaching the sound of a car. "What's there to worry about ?" Nova asked sarcastically as the car came to a stop directly below her. "Hi honey," she called, giving Jack a giant hug.

"Mom!" He smiled, halfheartedly returning the hug. "Finished my shift early at the hospital so, I thought I'd swing by," she smiled broadly. "Good to see you again, Doctor," Ratchet turned and nodded respectfully. "Arcee," she smiled at the femme above her.

"So, where's Optimus? "

"On a scouting mission with Bumblebee," Ratchet grumbled amusingly, turning to face her. "Sorry to disappoint,"

"I wore heels and everything..." She looked away from Jack, her face turning a little red."Mom!" Jack sounded horrified, looking up at Nova. She sighed as she got up from her couch and head down the stairs to where they are. JUne smiled at her as she embraced NOva with a hug before releasing each other. "Hey, Nova, Its strange not seeing you without Optimus," She said to her.

Nova assured, "Do not worry....I'm pretty sure he'll come back from the mission." until Campy appeared on her shoulder. June cooed at his cuteness before holding it and petting his head which let out a crooning sound as if it was purring. "That's odd.." Ratchet mumbled, more to himself than anyone else. "This is an extremely unusual magnetic flux, for any planet."

A large engine rumbled, June and NOva turned to look through the hangar. Bulkhead rolled to a stop, his door opening allowing Raf and Miko to scamper out of it laughing. "Did you feel the G's on the last turn?! Bulkhead's an animal!" They both made animal motions with their hands until they saw June. Miko whispered something to Raf as Bulk transformed, the younger boy walking up to the woman.

"Uh, don't worry, Mrs. Darby. ... We were wearing seatbelts."

"Im sure you were, Raphael," she smiled. "Hi Miko! How's school going?"

"Why?" Miko grumbled. "What'd you hear?"

"Let's do this thing, Jack," Arcee called, walking towards the hall that leads to outside. Jack nodded and began to follow her. "But I just got here!" June protested, Jack slouching the next second. "I brought sandwiches...."

"Mom!" Jack groaned, "I really need to help Arcee test her upgraded tracking system."

"Well, just be careful."

Arcee answered, "There's nothing to be careful about. It's a routine diagnostic."

June's brow knitted up, "Are you sure you need Jack for that?" Nova flinched, not liking where this was going. Arcee stopped and groaned. "Uh-oh." Bulkhead said, backing away from her a bit. "Bulkhead, I need you back in the field to investigate an odd magnetic disturbance." Ratchet informed turning around. "I'll go with!" Miko shouted running towards the ground bridge. "Whoa, stay put Miko." Bulkhead said catching the girl. She groaned and stalked back over to Raf and June, "Why aren't you going with him?"

"Someone thinks it's not safe." Miko pouted. June looked confused, "But it's safe for Jack to go with Arcee."

"Mom! Totally different!" Jack said to her. "Mother knows best Jack wait up Bulkhead, I'm going with." She said before going through. Nova knew that Arcee decided she needed some space, away from June. Nova was about head upstairs when she looked at Miko and saw the glint of mischive in her eye. As Bulkhead and Arcee crossed, Miko sneaked through. "Of all the troublemaker......."Nova sighed before going after her without anyone noticing her.

They made it into the dessert area, Nova was right behind Miko. "uh... Hi Nova?" She said. NOva scolded, "SEriously, Do I have to follow you so you won't get trouble?!"

"Keep quiet! We wouldnt want the bots to hear us. Or theyll get......"Before MIko say anything else until.....

"We'll get what?" A voice said. They looked up to see Bulkhead and Arcee saw them, they were busted." Miko, Nova how did you.....?"Bulkhead questioned. Nova said to him, "Hey, you tried to make her stay still."

Arcee said in the comm link, " Gonna need a bridge."

"please dont take me to helicopter mom. I just miss how we used to be." Miko said sadly.

Arcee replied a minute later, "Strike that Ratchet, its only recon. She's safe with us."

Before continuing their mission, Nova was surprised that she changed her mind. Miko was happy as she jumped onto BUlkhead's hand while Nova just trotted beside Arcee.

"Sweet! Crank up track seven, Bulk."Miko said, sitting on his shoulder. "Track seven? Arcee asked before the music started to play. "Don't you think that's a little loud for recon?" Nova said to them which unplugged the music and Miko let out an 'Aww...'sound.

"A warrior needs to be silent but deadly." She said to them. Miko and Bulkhead burst out laughing. "What?" Arcee said.

""Silent, but deadly" means something completely different on earth." Bulkhead said. Bulkhead and Miko moved up front leaving NOva and Arcee in the back. "I always take point." Arcee said. "i know but Miko wants to be up front." Bulkhead said. As Acree watched them from behind.

"No matter where I turn, I'm the 3rd wheel." Arce said before walking. Nova said to her, "You mean 4th wheel.....Don't take it personally. You know how Bulkhead and Miko are when they're together. She's lucky that she didn't want to be back in the base with June."

"Yes, Well......June was overprotective of Jack."

"I know how you feel......sometimes a parent gets protective over their children. They care for them very much and didn't want anything to happen to them."

"And you don't seem bothered when she's around. You seem to like having June around in the base."

Nova lowered her head and said, "It's just.....she reminded me of Dr. Login when she seems worried of Jack."Arcee tensed when she realized what she meant. "I see.....but you do know that she's not her."She reminded NOva.

"I know she is no longer with us.......however Jack was lucky to have a mother who cares for his well being."Nova said with sad sighed. Arcee did remembered when Nova lost the one important to her who became her family. Dr. Login's death had an impact on her. After Nova observing Jack and June, she seems to be envious when she sees a parent. Arcee knows how she feels when she lost two partners.

"Hmm. Looks like Ratchet's magnetic flux is coming from......"

When they reached the top of a mountain, they saw Breakdown and Arachnid fighting. Arcee said venom, "Arachnid." Miko added, "And Breakdown. Both your archenemies, and they're mashing it up."NOva's eyes flickered a bit as she looked around the source until her eyes was set on the device on Breakdown's arm. Nova pointed out, "Over that."

"The source of the magnetic disturbance."Arcee added.

 "All right. What's the plan?"Miko said excitedly which Bulkhead, Nova and Arcee shared a look at her. Bulkhead placed Miko down with a frown on her face. "Miko, don't move. I mean it." BUlkhead said to her before leaving.

"Aww! " Miko said. Nova shook her head with amusement, even though her face didn't show it.

Leaving Miko and Nova in a safe distance behind, the two Autobots leap into combat, surprising Airachnid, who has just gotten the upper hand. Bulkhead tosses Arcee into the air, and she shoots at the pair before charging at Breakdown, but Airachnid insists on facing Arcee herself while Breakdown faces Bulkhead. "Whoa! They're really good together."She said with a sigh before bringing out her phone. "Smackdown for the scrapbook."

Nova was watching the intense battle between. She really regretted for coming since Arachnid is there and didn't want to risk seeing her. Miko was taking pictures then she began to head somewhere just to get some more of the action. Nova noticed that Miko was going around it even though she was told to stay still. She groaned in annoyance as she went after her. Miko stopped where she was that is below the battle, Nova grabbed her and said, "Are you crazy?!"

"WHat? I just want to get it up close."Miko said.

"Yeah......for a hospital bill. We gotta move before...."Nova trailed off when the rumble from their battle began to shake. Luckily, Miko didn't fell but Nova tripped and fell down. She tumbled down the cliff before someone caught her. Nova looked up, expecting Arcee which turned out to be Arachnid that she didn't want to see. "Scrap." Nova said.

"I got what i came for. And a trophy too." She said, delighted to see her pet again. She was about to leave when Arcee hit her from the rear and Arachnid dropped something shaped like a bracelet. It started glowing and soon Bulkhead and Arcee were sent flying. Nova dint see what happened to make them do that but when she opened her eyes Breakdown had the bracelet thing on his servo and transformed. "Come on sweetie. Lets take our leave too." Arachnid said. She threw Nova up in the air and transformed into a helicopter. She looked to the others to see the worried looks on Arcee and Bulkhead.

'JUne is going to freak out about my abduction.....Lets just hope that I survive this,' Nova thought.

Nova was quiet for awhile, not wanting to speak to her. "Why so quiet? Aren't you glad to see your owner?"Arachnid said. Nova didn't stared at her as she said bluntly, "Your not my owner.....and I'm definitely not your pet either."

"*chuckle* You should remember that I placed a mark on you which tells your mine. I'm glad you kept the scar I gave you."

"Actually, I don't...."Nova said, clutching her left arm where the scar is. She looked through the window. They were growing somewhere but where? As if Arachnid read her mind, she transformed and put webs on her body. "I look like a spider's prey. Now, I know how bugs feel." Nova said.

"Be quiet." she said as she shot more webs and when she was done, Nova saw she had made a trap for poor Breakdown. After waiting and stay quiet Breakdown came straight into the trap. As Airachnid looked at her wins she took the bracelet thing as she dragged Breakdown to an old gas station. When they got there, Nova was put down and webbed to the wall of the station.

Breakdown notice NOva and said, "Hey aren't you the human girl.....?"

Nova said dryly, "Yeah, Its good to see you one piece.....well partly that is."

 Arachnid wears the gauntlet and said, "It fits! You know, a girl can never have too many accessories."

"You were a Decepticon once. We can bring the prize to Megatron together." Breakdown suggested.

"Go back to that boys club? I struck out on my own because I don't like to share."

"Why does everybot want that anyways?" Nova asked. 

"It is polarity gauntlet. This will provide the perfect repellent against bots and 'cons alike." Airachnid said. 

Nova now knows what it does and Arachnid might used it against the autobots, even decepticons. NOva tried to free herself which was hopeless. Arachnid notice her struggling as she said, "It's no use struggling.....why don't you accept it and become my pet?"

Breakdown stared down at her and said, "Pet? I didn't know you became hers."

 Nova sneered, "That's becoz I don't......she just marked me and claimed me as her pet." Breakdown was about to say something until Arachnid's web covered his mouth which let out a muffled sound. Arachnid said to NOva, close to her face, "Oh come now! It'll be fun. I can take you to so many places and watch as I add so new trophies. Why don't you just ditch those autobots and come with me instead?"

Nova growls under her breath in growing anger as she said, "There is no way....I'm going anywhere with you."

"I see.....ever since I was amazed by the powers you possessed when I realize your no ordinary human and I was hopping you might be useful in destroying our enemies. I thought we might share in common."

"Um....in what way?"

"I did recall when Silas called you an ex agent who happens to killed targets. I'm surprised to know that I wasn't the only ex con who struck out on my own. I also get to me an ex assassin who happens to doing the same. When I saw your eyes, I admire the look when you felt the urged to kill. Your the same as me."

"I'm not like you.....I didn't have emotions back then. It was Silas who manipulated me into doing all those."

"But you killed them....by your hands, didn't you?"

Nova flinched as she lowered her head and didn't say anything. She didn't killed them yet she did end them by her hands. She was beginning to feel doubtful again. Arachnid notice it as she puts her digit under her chin and pushes it up making Nova look at her. "Now now don't feel bad for yourself. It feels good, doesn't it? Isn't there a part of you missed being an ex assassin? Think about it, If you come with me and I'm sure you'll get the entertainment you have. What do you say?"

Nova wanted to agree with her then she recalled the time when the autobots found out about her origin. Her past doesn't shape her for who she was, what matter is that her life is her own and she can choose who she was meant to be. Nova said to her, "I may have committed my deeds in the past......none of that matters anymore. What matter is deciding my own path." Arachnid moved away from her face and had a disappointed look on her faceplate. 

"Hmmm....what a shame. It seems you've been spending too much time with the autobots has made you feel soft. Perhaps extinguishing their sparks might help you learned a lesson, that way you don't have anything to worry about." She said with a sadistic grin.

Nova's eye widened and said defiance, "What?! Don't you dare...." before a web covered her mouth. Arachnid left the gas station to scout when she sense someone was coming. Nova waited for hours until her hope has been answered. She saw only Bulkhead when he saw Breakdown and NOva trapped in web, she couldn't help but notice Arcee wasn't there. Arachnid came out behind from Breakdown and said, "I assume Arcee isn't far behind."

"You might say that. " Bulkhead said.

"Blaster hands in the air and turn around."

"Whatever you say." Bulkhead replied, raising his hand in the air before turning around which revealed to be Arcee promptly opens fire, managing to shoot the gauntlet out of Airachnid's hand. Nova was surprised and disturbed to see that both of them are stuck together. As the device fell on the ground until it accidentally activated and drags everything metal towards it. Nova felt a force from the gauntlet as it pulled her free of the webs, she struggled against the pull from the gauntlet. However, Breakdown, who is pulled free of the webbing and went passed by NOva as he shuts the gauntlet down. Nova felt free from the force before backing away from them.

Arachnid said to Breakdown, "Still up for a truce, muscles?"

"Only because I hate Bulkhead more than I hate you." Breakdown said before attacking BUlkhead. NOva watched Bulkhead and Arcee begin awkwardly fighting Breakdown and Airachnid. Bulkhead manages to deck Breakdown and turns to face Airachnid, but then Breakdown uses the gauntlet to drop an oil derrick on the 'Bots.

NOva saw it before she warned, "Arcee, Bulkhead, Watch out!" which they were hit and Arcee was pinned under an unconscious Bulkhead. "Pinned like a bug.Of course, I can think of one permanent way out of your predicament." Arachnid said menacingly at Arcee.

"I'll take topside. " As Breakdown bring down his hammer at BUlkhead. Fortunately, Bulkhead comes around in time, and the pair stand up, now separated. Arcee attacks Breakdown, but Bulkhead finds himself no match for Airachnid, who grabs the gauntlet and uses it to draw Arcee to her. Nova watched Bulkhead blasts Breakdown into another oil derrick, while Arcee and Airachnid fight.

Arcee eventually gets possession of the gauntlet and uses it on Arachnid. NOva turned to see Breakdown fires a missile at BUlkhead instead it just repel back and forth before shot in the air. Nova blinked and thought, 'Did the missile just bounced back each other?'

Breakdown said, " We can't touch metal."

Bulkhead added, "We're polarized."

Arcee was about to used the gauntlet to undo it before Airachnid uses her webbing to snatch the gauntlet back and transforms to escape. Nova shouted from her hiding, "Bulkhead, the gauntlet!"

Bulkhead understood as he grabs onto her helicopter mode and throws her into Breakdown. NOva saw the two decepticons heading towards her and the gas station. Nova managed to get away from the gas station before two Cons crashed into it. She looked back and let out a sigh of relief. Arcee went over to NOva, asking if she's alright.

"After being caught in a web and getting myself killed.....Sure, I'm fine." Nova replied sarcastically. Arcee shook her head, wondering she was jesting her before turning to the Cons who were lying unconscious.

"Let's finish this. " BUlhkead said, smashing fist together.

Arcee said, "And risk becoming twins again?" 

Nova said agreement, "Oh yeah.....I think I don't want to risk getting captured again." A groundbridge was opened in front of them, they were about to walk through until NOva stopped them and said, "This never happened, alright." THe autobots shared a look before nodding at her, Nova didn't want Optimus to know she was kidnapped before going through the groundbridge.

Back in the Base

THe moment they came back, JUne hugged Nova tightly due to her concerned about being kidnapped. Nova assured that she was fine and there was nothing to worry about. Although, Nova felt like she has gained an overprotective mother. NOva turned to see Arcee and Bulkhead gave the gauntlet to Ratchet.

"Souvenir, but We....." Bulkhead said.

".....don't advise indoor use. " Arcee finished

Miko groaned, "Eww.....They even finish each other's sentences!"

Bulkhead looks at her and said," Hey Miko check it out, new battle scars." He then points to the mark on his arm. Miko smiles and takes a picture of him with her phone.

" Arcee hey." Jack says while walking towards Arcee only to get stopped by June.

" Let the adults talk." She said to him. She then walks towards Arcee and says," Arcee I think I owe you an apology."

Arcee looks a little shocked and asked," You do?''

" I worry, especially when I feel like I cant control things which with a teenager is all the time." June explained," Jack and I have always been close especially after his dad left and I guess its just hard to accept that all thats changing. I mean I knew it would someday, but your not quite the type of girl I thought Jack would be ditching me for."

" I think we've all been a little guilty with staying attached to the way things were.'' Arcee said to her and gives her a smile. Nova was glad that June apologize for being protective as Campy climbed over her shoulder and nuzzled on her cheek, in return by petting on his head.

" Well I think I head home." June said while walking towards her car.

" Wait mom. I think I'll come with you." Jack said to her. He runs up to her and gives her a hug and then goes to the passengers side. He tells them all goodbye and gets inside. June was about to get in her driver seat until she remembered something as she opened the back seat and brought out some sandwiches that she made. June went over to NOva and gave the sandwiches to her. Nova looked confused before looking up to June.

June mentioned, "I heard that you were homeless and you haven't eaten anything so you can have the sandwiches. I can't have a girl move around with an empty stomach." Nova's eyes brightened by her generosity as she replied, "Gee....Thank you."

"Take care of yourself, alright." June said, stroking her head before kissing her in the forehead. NOva blushed with red cheeks when June did that. June said goodbye to them as well and then gives her a smile before getting in herself. She then starts her car up and drives out of the base for the night.

As she stared where JUne left, She was surprised that June kissed her on the forehead and her cheek is still red. What she learned that only a mother would kiss their own child, it was the first time she had anyone kissed her so caring. It felt so warm......

Nova heard a giggle then saw Miko's mischievous look on her face before NOva looked away from her, showing her devoid face just to hide her embarrassed look.

"Ratchet," a familiar baritone rang through the base. "We need a bridge,"

Nova head towards the direction of the ground bridge. "This will be interesting," Ratchet muttered, switching the ground bridge on.

Optimus and Bumblebee walked through, arms full of energon crystals. Raf followed them, specifically Bumblebee, excitedly listening to the bot buzz about his adventure. Optimus walked back out shortly, leaving Bee with his human. He optics met Nova's eyes and he noticed her cheek was red while holding the box of sandwiches in her hand.

He asked, "Did something happen?"

Nova shook her head and replied, "Nope, Let's just it was.....a crazy day I had." But little did NOva know that he precious little mask of emotionless and safety was soon going to endure.
