The next day

Nova yawned, stretching out the muscles around her shoulders. She got out of the wheel cabin, mind wandering of the events of the past two nights. Her stomach clenching in on itself halted her tracks for half of a second. Her arm grabbed at her empty stomach, realizing to hunt for food settling her stomach. She traveled to her usual spot, a dumpster behind a nursing home. They always had good food that may have been bagged up before tossed. She was planing to use her power to get food in the vending machine however its best not to use it only when theres no one around since the shop maybe crowded  or get suspicious about a girl in jacket.

Propping the door open, She pulled herself into the unit, allowing her lower half to hang out, providing a quick escape should an employee emerge. She rummaged through for a moment, when landed on a styrofoam container, heavy to the touch. "Bingo," She said, hauling herself back out, clutching the box desperately. She scampered over to the sidewalk, taking a seat next to a stop sign. Opening the box, discovered sausages, a mystery meat, mashed potatoes and gravy. The scent it was giving off was enough confirmation that it had only been tossed last night. "*sigh* this isn't my day...Well,its better than breaking vending machines for once"She said to herself. She inhaled deeply, settling in to enjoy her meal.

As she finished her meal, a vehicle drew her attention to a familiar red and white, who rolled to another clean stop next to her. She sighed realizing who it was which she'll never wanted to see as The passenger door opened, and she scrambled in, deserting her food. "How did you find me?" She asked.

"I happen to find you when I recognize your jacket...."She stared at the steering wheel as strapped herself in, the door shutting behind her.

"So Let me guess, Optimus order you to pick me up despite my protest, didn't he?"

Said bot just simply growled as his reply, and he revved his engines driving towards the base. 'I'll take that as a yes,' she thought. The drive to base was quiet for a few minutes until she heard the radio crackling on for him to speak. "Once we get to base I need to continue analyzing the substance from yesterday, so you will have to stay out of the way and keep quiet. Understand?" Ratchet practically ordered. "Whatever you say." She answered tugging her hood. Once they got inside the base, Ratchet practically throw her out of his vehicle mode on her bottom as he transformed and went off to 'experiment.' She groaned from her sore butt, got up and was really peeved by his attitude. She felt a spark flickering from her hand then she calms down not liking when she let her emotions get to her. 'Oh well, its better at making enemies than friends'

She walked up the stairs to the couch to sit down on. As she sat down on the couch, she lied down staring at the ceiling which made her feel tired as she closed her eyes to sleep. After a short while, She heard the clanging sound as if it was hitting which woke her up being annoyed. She rubbed her eyes and looked up, much to her horror to see the metal spider and Ratchet trying to squish it, but it was fast dodging his every move. It then jumped and ran behind the green, yet semi-transparent, computer screen. Nova knew it be the best not to go trash the computer system, it was a Smart move for Ratchet. It then went over to Ratchet's overly large microscope and snapped it in half.

Ratchet's eyes filled with rage as he stepped forward to it. "I NEEDED THAT!" He yelled, trying once again to squash the bug-bot before being pushed back to the computer as the thing got ready to attack. Nova was about to help him as The thing then jumped up and was about to attack him, when a ball of light hit the bug-bot and it fell down onto the floor. She looked over and saw Optimus retracting his gun. Ratchet sighed and moved forward slightly as she got down from the stairs and she stared in shock, eyes wide and mouth agape. The spiderbot sparking on the floor, limbs jumbled and body twitching, the arrival advanced.  "Now, what could have caused that?" Ratchet grumbled, staring at the heap on the floor as the pair drew closer. 

  "I-" 

 "Woah What the heck was that?" the attention of the two bots went to the girl in black coat who's curiosity brought her closer and closer to the small, smoking, twisted body of the attacker. Without warning, it once again sprang into action, limbs untangling and the violet glow fluctuating once more. "Nova, move!" he quickly shouted out, optics brightening in panic. The tool shrieked out, bunching its metal limbs underneath it and sprang before anyone could say a word. Flying toward the teenage girl, it angled its blades to strike her on impact, hissing and chittering evilly as it seemed to swell in anticipation. Helpless as they watched the scene unfold, both Autobots tensed and gasped in horror. 

Nova saw it coming and glared at the attacker as she raised her fist, punching it which collided with the spiderbot's lens. When her fist made contact with metal, no one didn't notice the electrical energy flowing through her fist and onto the spiderbot which it began to short circuit as though it was overloading. The metal plates quaking and shivering as smoke wafted from in between the cracks in its joints and plating. Without any prior indication other than that, it suddenly exploded, giving a last feral hiss as the gears and plates seemed to separate and just fell over. One of the parts hit on Nova's left cheek leaving a scratch on her face.  All of this happened within three seconds, leaving the two in the room awestruck and confused. Nova retreated her fist as she said angrily, "Not so tough now, you little freak." She looked up to see two bots staring at her. 

"What?"

Ratchet said, "Nova what did you do? I was sure it was going to..."

"I had no idea what just happen, all I did is punch and... it just short-circuit, that's it." Nova lied, not wanting to let them know that she used her power by accident to overload the spiderbot circuits. She had hard time controlling it like how she recalled last time she made contact with a vending machine which overloaded it and didn't want to experience it again.

'"While I have no insight on what may have caused the destruction of the beast, I do believe I know what caused it to revive: Dark Energon." Optimus said gravely. 'Dark Energon? So thats what I sense earlier, this is bad news.'  She was thinking until Optimus snapped her out from thoughts. "what happened to your cheek?" He asked, his eyes filled with concern, She touched her face and notice the scratch as she waved him off. "Must have got hit by one of the sharp metals. Don't worry, It's only a scratch  beside It does not even hurt or sting at all."She said.

"Well, it seems you are fine, with only that small size cut on your cheek." Ratchet finally said. "But that's doesn't change anything about putting yourself in danger in going up against that creature, what were you thinking?"

She narrow her eyes at him. "Hey I was defending myself ok, what else was I supposed to do stand there and let the spiderbot hurt or worst kill me hmmm?" She replied, with arms crossed glaring at him. Ratchet was about to speak, but Optimus beat him to it.

"Are you well?" He asked concerned again.

"I'll be fine like i said, I can take care of myself."She assured him as he put the dead spider-bot in a metal cylinder, saying a bunch of things that she did not understand. She went back up and wandered around the main computer system, looking at the different keys. She seated herself on the giant keyboard, cuddling into herself, and resting for a nap. Just then she woke up due to the noise she heard much to her annoyance. She turned to see that the rest of the gang came back. Once Miko, Raf, and Jack were off/out of their guardians they were smiling like mad and cheering. The other three transformed and smiled down at them. Ratchet grumbled as Nova made her way down to see them all. "Sounds like you guys have a grand old time out there together." Nova said.

"You bet we did!" Raf exclaimed. Miko said, "And I didn't know your here as well.....Night Killer."

"Don't call me that.....Pig-tail."

"Hey, What happen to your cheek?" Jack asked as he notice the small size cut on her cheek. "Oh this, it's nothing really, just a scratch. I dealt with thugs before but There's nothing to worry about." She said, not letting them know she was attacked by a spider bot. Jack grabbed something in his pocket as he placed a band-aid on her face. Nova said to him, "You know you don't have to do that."

"Well, we don't wanna get infections, don't we?"

She didn't said anything.

"Autobots, prepare too---," Optimus paused, and looked at the four. "Roll out?" Arcee asked, impatiently. "Remain here," He ordered, turning back to Ratchet. "Ratchet, you'll come with me. Arcee, we'll be out of communication's range for some time, so I'm putting you in charge." "Dude!" Miko shouted, looking up at Bulkhead. "You're biggest. You should be the boss." Bulkhead gave her a look. "He...never picks me." He admitted.

Ratchet was on the computer, probably typing in coordinates, and Optimus was walking towards him, but stopped halfway as Arcee spoke. "Optimus with all due respect, playing bodyguard is one thing baby sittings is another!" Jack very loudly sighed in frustration, retreating from the scene, "Besides, Ratchet hasn't been out on the field since the war." She said that quietly. Ratchet must have heard her because he turned to her and glared. "My pistons maybe rusty, but my hearings as sharp as ever!" He half growled, half yelled.

"For the moment, it's only reconiscence." Optimus sighed.

"Then why do I hear an edge in your voice?" Arcee retorted.

"Arcee, much has changed in the past 24 hours, and we all need to adapt. Ratchet, bridge us out." Optimus and Ratchet walked into the ground bridge, disappearing into the unknown. "So, chief, what's on the activities list?" Jack smiled, looking at Arcee.  Nova snorted, looking at them all. "I'm going to go take a nap." She made her way to the side to where the boxcrates are. She could hear the others talking, and the revving of two engines, but really she was just excited to have a decent rest, again. 

A screeching filled the air which hurt her ears and turned to see Miko, who was hooking up a guitar to a large speaker. "How about...band practice?" She suggested."How about not?" Nova said but she ignored her. She was really starting to get peeved off with the pig-tail girl. It would be a wonder if she didn't shoot her before the week was over as She sat down beside the wall where the metal cube are. "But we're not a band," Raf told her."Why so antisocial?" she mocked before changing tactics. "Come on, Raf. You play anything?" "Um, keyboard?" he said, probably nervous of what she would do if he said no."Laptops and samples, good! Jack?"  

  "I...sometimes mess around on the harmonica," he admitted, running a hand through his hair in a nervous habit. Miko looked offended. "Do I look like I do country? Just– cover yourself in fake blood and jump around screaming." She turned away before he could argue."Bulkhead: Percussion! We'll go for big, industrial sound." 

"What about Nova?" Raf asked.  

"Leave me out of this," She said holding up one of her hand in a warding off gesture. She didn't notice Jack narrowed his eyes at her fixing her with a look. "She can be security," the Japanese girl said offhandedly. Nova shook her head as she rested her head on her tucked legs and arms.

 She was able to ignore the noise that Miko made while sound asleep peacefully. Suddenly a green light started flashing and an alarm like noise came on. She woke up and said, rubbing her ear, "Ugh, what's with the noise?!" "Proximity sensor. Quick! Hide! Now!" He instructed. Miko, Jack, and Raf hid behind Bulkhead's giant foot while Nova hide behind the wall where she can't be seen. Moments later, the elevator doors opened and out came a very upset Agent Fowler. "PRIME!" He shouted. "Agent Fowler! He's not here, nobodies here... except me of course." Bulkhead said laughing awkwardly.

"Well, where did he go?" Fowler asked but held up his hand to stop Bulkhead from answering. "Wait! Don't tell me. He's out pancaking a mini-mall!" Bulkhead looked slightly confused as he didn't know where Optimus was. "Now I don't know what language you speak on your planet but Prime promised you would handle the Decepticons!" As Agent Fowler went on and on with his little complaints fest, Bulkhead was trying his best to make sure that Jack, Miko, and Raf remained hidden from their unhappy liaison even Nova.

However, the fact that Miko still had her electric guitar that was STILL plugged into the amp made it an impossible task."And blowing a crate in the middle of Nebraska is NOT what the world 'handle' means in English!" Fowler shouted. "So you tell Prime-!" Fowler trailed off when he heard the sounds of the electric guitar coming from somewhere within the proximity of Bulkhead and himself. Fowler knew for a fact that Bulkhead couldn't play guitar. That was when he noticed the amp, Raf's laptop, and the chords that were connecting Miko's guitar to the amp. "Since when are you bots electric?" Fowler asked curiously.

Bulkhead jumped when he noticed the cord.Knowing the jig was up and can't hide no more, Jack, Miko, and Raf stepped out from behind Bulk's leg."Hey, how are you doing?" Jack said. Nova sighed with hands behind her head, "No point in beating around the bush now" she said as came out of her hiding which surprise Fowler. "Contact with civilian's! Team Prime has really gone off the deep end this time. Wait, don't tell me. You're running a day-care center!" He exclaimed.

"O-kay" Bulkhead nervously said trying to figure out an explanation. "We're interns..." Jack explained striking a pose. "Student interns!" added Raf. "Earning extra credit in auto shops..." Jack said. "Robotics!" Miko said in unison with Jack. "Maybe you guys should've come up with a convincing story than that." Nova said face palming.

Agent Fowler did not buy our story cover up. "Ooookay, let's move." Fowler said walking down the steps passing by Nova and towards the three, "I'm taking all four of you into federal custody, it's for your own protection." Then Bulkhead put his foot down blocking the gap between Fowler and the others, "we're protecting them" he stated."Is that so then maybe you can explain that to my superiors at the pentagon." Fowler said, reaching for the phone until Nova stood between the phone and him. He said, "Move aside kid"

\"Don't use this phone...."She said with a threatened tone

"Look I'm in a serious matter so move aside before...."as he was about to reached the phone instead without warning Nova curled her fist and punched through the phone causing it to break. She pulled away her fist with wires snapped from the line which made Fowler stunned by her reflexes even everyone as well. She said mockingly, "Oops I'm sorry....Its out of order."

"This isn't over! Not by a long shot! " He shouted, while walking away into the lift, and going back up to the top of the base. Miko mimicked what he was saying while rolling her eyes, making Raf laugh, while Jack shook his head. Bulkhead then groaned as Nova said sarcastically, "Well, he really does have big mouth, doesn't he?" Bulkhead then sighed really loudly. Miko run to her and said, "Dude, your awesome the way you stand up to that Fowler and broke the phone with your bare hand."

Jack said concern, "Are you ok? Your hand got hurt...."

"I'm alright, I'm used to it."Nova said lifitng her hand, now with bruised and scratches. Jack brought out his first aid as he wrapped the bandage around her hand. She looked at him and said, "Do you always carry with you?"

"In case of emergency..."Jack said with a shrug.

After that whole incident they all relaxed with each other talking to one another while Nova was sleeping on the couch. Then another alarm went off it wasn't the proximity this time it was an SOS, and was even louder than the proximity alarm. "Ugh my ears" Nova said as she covered his ears. Bulkhead walked up to the computer. "It's an SOS from Fowler!" Bulkhead said he then tried to figure out what to press on the control panel. "Uh...ugh...Um."

From what they could tell as they looked at each other he had no idea what he was doing. Then Raf spoke up "did you trace it?" he asked. "Location scan was incomplete, oh well." Bulkhead shrugged.

"Oh well? Seriously?" Jack repeated raising his eyebrow. "Fowlers a jerk". Bulkhead replied.

"Whoa! Whether you like the guy or not the decepticons may have him!" Jack started "And Agent Fowler knows you're location! Uhh, OUR location!" Raf gulped fearfully. Nova nodded in agreement with him."And did we not just witness how fast Fowler backs down from a bot? The cons will totally make him squeal" Miko finished. "But we lost the transmission, Fowler could be anywhere!" Bulkhead argued. "Maybe I could narrow it down" Raf suggested getting onto the floor as he opened up his laptop.

"About 5 years ago the government started chipping their agents, you know, like owners do with their pets." Raf briefly explained. They all just stared blankly at him, like witnessing the next evolution of human beings or something. "What? I saw it on TV!" He protested, before continuing to type. "Anyway, if I can hack into the feds main frame, then maybe I can pinpoint Fowlers coordinates." Raf said. "Huh your smart for a kid." Nova commented. Jack nodded in agreement. "You know how to hack? But you're like 2 years old." Miko jested, slight exaggeration on her part.

"12, and a quarter" Raf corrected as he tapped away at his computer. After a couple minutes, there was a map up on the laptop screen. "Latitude 35.5, longitude 116.9." Raf announced. Bulkhead typed in the coordinates and opened up the ground bridge. "Ok, wait here." He ordered while walking towards the portal. Miko started pouting. "Awwwwh, don't break up the band!" She exclaimed. Bulkhead was just about to walk through when he turned back around."Uhh, Jack, you're in charge." He said and then ran into the portal. They walked up next to it."Guess we four have the run of the place." Jack mumbled looking at Nova. She shrugged, and then Raf looked around.

"Miko?" He called. "Seems to me the pig-tail just gave us a slip. What is she even thinking?"Nova said bluntly.

"What should we do? Bulkhead probably doesn't even know she followed him!" Raf panicked. "Miko hasn't see the cons in action like we have....she has no idea." Jack stated.

"Those are the co-ordinates there destination is still locked in!" Raf as he looked at the screen as he reactivated the ground bridge. "You're in charge!"Jack said. Raf said, "In charge of who?"Nova shrugged her shoulder as they were heading through the ground bridge cave, and she felt a strange/weird sensation in her body. She had no idea what it was almost like a surge, pulsing through her. Jack ended up in a canyon on the other side, looking around it was mostly bare then beside him was Nova and Raf coming out of the Groundbridge as well. 

"Ok the sooner we find Miko, the better." Jack said

"I don't think that's simple..."Nova said unsure.

"Why?" He questioned

"You there!"

They heard a voice and turned to see a ship and two robots pointing at us. NOva said, "Becoz we've been spotted." As they started firing Nova grabbed Raf and Jack, She had Raf under my arm and Jack by the arm as they head for cover. Nova got them behind a rock big enough to shield them for a short while, and then Bulkhead pulled up in his vehicle mode. "Get in now!" he ordered.They dived into the front; Nova was in the driver's seat with Raf in her lap and Jack besides her, Bulkhead sped off avoiding gunfire. "Thanks Bulkhead." Jack said relieved. "Yeah thanks!" added Raf. "Wh-what are you doing here?" Bulkhead said in disbelief. "the pig tail girl somehow able to follow you, they came out here to bring her back which is a stupid idea." Nova said. "ha-have you seen her?" Jack asked in a worried tone."What she look like?" Miko said casually as she popped up from the backseats. Bulkhead then drove them behind a huge rock for shelter, "everyone out" he ordered. Jack got out, followed by Nova, then Raf.

"And this time, please wait here!" he said as he drove off towards the decepticon vessel. After they watched him for so long and they had got behind cover Nova looked over Jack, Raf and... "Miko's still in the backseat!"

"H-How do we tell Bulkhead?" Raf asked in an almost squeak. Nova then peeked behind the rock; Bulkhead was looking their way so she motioned to him that someone was missing! Nova read his words as "where's Miko?" then he stood still for a while, when she squinted her eyes he was looking down then his chest plates open...he found her, her distinctive streak of pink hair was what made her stand out the most.

Then a battle ensured and they couldn't see what was happening up there. As it calmed down, they couldn't see Bulkhead and Miko anymore. "Think they forgot about us?"He said worriedly. Nova was about to say something when her hair underneath her hood glowed again without the two boys noticing, meaning she sense danger from behind. She turned around to see two Decepticons that lingered behind them. "Scrap!"She said that caught the boys attention. One of them grabbed her and the other grabbed Jack and Raf. She wanted to use her power but she can't let the boys know as she struggle to free herself.

Eventually, They were on the Nemesis, she heard one of them as did Raf and Jack say something about taking us to the brig and how Starscream was keeping another human there. 'he must mean Fowler and that means they must be planning on interrogating us.' SHe angrily growled at the decepticons that were keeping them captive even if I can't use her power at the practical moment. She hated it for being invovled in this mess. But then just at that moment she heard the distance sounds of an engine running, and then the two Decepticons got knocked out. Arcee caught the boys in mid air; as Nova landed on her feet during a half pipe flip, brushing herself down Bumblebee transformed and walked up to them.

"Bumblebee!" Raf exclaimed. 

"Its about time you guys came to our rescue."She complained.

"We appreciate you clearing the front door for us, but storming the decepticon warship was not on the activities list." Arcee said, ignoring Nova's complaint."Tell me about it" Jack replied.then after that brief reunion Arcee swiftly scouted ahead of them, she then put her back to the wall armed and ready as she turned the next corner pointing her weapon "friendly...!"

"Hello!" came the voice of Bulkhead. Arcee sighed in relief "brought the humans huh?" she said."You try getting them to stay behind!" he said trying to defend his case."We need to find Fowler and get these kids outta here" Arcee stated.Then Jack and Raf said in unison "he's in the brig."

Then more Decepticons came their way as they had become fully alert to their presence, the Autobots formed around them to protect them as they battled them, all the kids could do was dodge the pieces of terminated decepticons that were falling on them, as well as witnessing the Autobots getting some serious bruising in the process, there was a sense of how frighteningly serious this was to the others as they struggled on survival alone, at one point it had them huddling together. And as the battle ended and the smoke cleared, they came out of their huddled position and continued our search for Fowler, no word, no recollection, just carrying on, pushing on, this was the way of life. They finally came to the closest room with few decepticons occupying it, the Autobots made short work of them.Then Arcee approached us, "wait in here" she said. Bumblebee beeped at her which Nova can't understand. "there slowing us down and are easy targets, they'll be alright in here as long as they stay put." Arcee said. Nova couldn't help but cringe at her words as they left and the door shut behind.

"How is it that we'll be fine anywhere in here?"Nova said in the direction of the door. "That, was intense!" Miko then declared. " Was!" Raf said."It's your fault that we're stuck in this intensity, what were you thinking Miko?" Jack demanded.

"Did I ask you to follow me?" Miko retaliated.

"You wanted us to be a band; doesn't that usually mean playing together?"

"Well maybe i decided to go solo!"

Nova walked away from them, "Sheesh they have to argue at the time like this."while she observed her surrounding when a monitor screen caught her attention. 'Hmm....I wonder whats that for.'

"Well maybe I have some regard for your safety!" Jack said.

"Oh I'm sorry is your name Optimus! You can leave my protection to Bulkhead thank you very much..." Miko said raising her voice.

"Look! Stop it! Both of you!" Raf suddenly yelled as Nova jumped slightly. He then head to where Nova was standing and went to sit down, trying to get away from the arguing. He crouched down and buried his head into his arms. The two looked to one another as they then ran over to Raf to comfort him.

"Hey. Raf, it's okay." Jack said. "Yeah! We're gonna be fine." Miko said softly.

"Our bots will come back for us."

"Yeah!" Miko said. "They're gonna take us home!" "How do you know?" Raf asked. Nova interrupted, "I hate to break up the conversation but What do you make of that?" pointing at the screen. Raf then jumped down eagerly from the ledge we were sitting on, and took a good look at the screen. "It's important, real important. We gotta get this to Optimus" He then said."How do you know it isn't just a recipe for space nachos" Miko jested."I know math when I see it, and that is one serious equation" Raf said. Nova went a closer look and she hate to admit it was an advance technology. She stared at the monitor until she notice the symbols is turning into a written language with no reason. She blinked and explained, "Weird, it basically say something about Space ...bridge..and then those numbers after bridge i think...those must be coordinates while some are equations....more or less I'm a little rusty in math."She turned to them and notice surprised look on their face.

"What?" She said.

"You can read it?" Miko asked. "What do you mean? It said so in the monitor, didn't you know?" Nova said bluntly, turning away from the group.

"Uh Nova how were you able to understand that? Its cybertronian language."

Nova flinched that how she was able to read that unless.....she realize she must have used technopathy to translate it without touching it. She replied, hiding the fact, "It's just a hunch, that's all.""Well can we...download it?" Jack asked, looking up. "I've got a flash drive," Raf said, setting down his backpack and opening it, "but I don't see anywhere to plug it in. This tech is way alien!" Nova noted, "I don't think your flash drive won't fit in that computer."then she heard footsteps, and they turned to see a Vehicon enter the room. It looked toward them, Miko, Jack grabbed Raf and Nova, and started to run under the computer. That's when she saw Raf run back for his backpack, and then the decepticon saw him, arming his gun.

Jack and Nova started toward him, and Jack tackled him out of the way while Nova dodged the bullets. "Miko! Take a picture!" Jack yelled. "Great idea!" Miko exclaimed, pulling out her phone. "Hey, you!" she yelled, as his gaze turned to her, then she...took a picture of him. Nova face palmed. "Not of that! Of that!" Jack corrected pointing at the screen. "Oh" Miko said then proceeding to take a picture of the said screen. The decepticon was about to shoot her when Nova started toward her and tried to shield Miko until it blasted them. Jack and Raf were horrified that they got shot as the smoke cleared away, they saw unexpected; Miko opened her eyes and saw an energy force field surrounding them not only that she saw Nova's hood was down revealing her hair standing up, glowing bright blue as if there were electrical currents surrounding her. Nova looked up and saw the barrier while raising both her hands front. As the barrier disappeared, She stared at her hand with a confuse look. "wha...? Did I just...?"She said to herself. She saw the decepticon was about to fire again however she raised her hand at the decepticon as the unknown force pushed on the wall forcefully. Her hair glowing with an angry look at the decepitcon as it stand down and stopped glowing.

The trio went over to her with an unbelievable look. Miko asked excitedly, "DUde, how did you do that?" They heard the robot was about to get up. "No time! Run!" Nova yelled. The door opened, and they all sprinted out."Go, go, go!" Jack yelled, as the decepticon followed them. Luckily, because of their size they were harder to aim at. As the Decepticon pursued them Bulkhead came driving at full speed towards them as he transformed and leapt over the 4 kids then ran towards the Decepticon. He started firing at him before tackling him to the ground; after beating the Decepticon down he then transformed and came back. Then Bumblebee and Arcee pulled up, Raf and Miko got into Bumblebee as Nova and Jack hopped onto Arcee. "I told you to stay put!" Arcee yelled. "Well, tell that to the Con" Nova argued, putting her hood back on. As they escaped from the Nemesis.

Two hours later

When they got back to base, Nova watched as Optimus was fixing up Ratchets arm in a sling."What happened to you guys, anyway?" Miko asked."We engaged an army of undead Cybertronian warriors." Ratchet explained.

"Zombies? You fought zombies and I missed it!"

Nova shook her head as she stared at her hand. 'I wonder what I did back there? I was able to formed a force field around me. Could it be I have gained a new power? I should be careful, my power seem so hard to control.' Nova wondered, tugging her hood. "Bulkhead, you exercised extremely poor judgement in allowing the humans to accompany you." Optimus rumbled."It won't happen again, Optimus. I-I promise." Bulkhead said."But it wasn't Bulkhead's fault!" Miko objected.

"Miko! Please!"

"And check it out re-con" she said as she got out her cell phone and showed a picture to Optimus. " Ratchet, have a look. It could be of importance to Megatron."He said.

"Whoa Megatrons back, that's really bad news right?" Jack asked. Nova groaned, "Great and here I thought one con is more than enough." Then Ratchet had a look at Miko's phone but looked confused," I...don't understand." He stated. Miko looked at the phone. "Oops! That's the 'Con who tried to blow Raf away. At least, that's what he looked like before Bulkhead rearranged his grille!"

"Miko! Raf was almost killed! This isn't a game when are you going to get that through your thick skull!" Jack yelled. "We were all almost killed! You, me, Raf, even them!" Miko said, pointing at the other Autobots.

"Well if this was just an average day with the Autobots, then I don't want to be a part of it...not anymore."

"Jack, putting you in harm's way was never our intent. However, it is no longer the safety of you three that is at risk, but the safety of all humankind. We will respect your decision if you wish to leave." Optimus told Jack. Ratchet activated the groundbridge. "No point in long goodbye's here's the door." He said rather flatly. "Jack turned to Raf. "Come on, Raf." Raf looked at Bumblebee. "I'll be okay, Jack." he said. "See you at school." "Sure thing" Jack replied, turning to the groundbridge. "Same goes for me."SHe replied, following Jack. "What your leaving?!"Miko exclaimed.

"Look, I told you before that I don't like being involved and I don't want to be killed either so I'm leaving."As she was about to leave when Miko went to her and mentioned, "You can't leave beside you can help us fight against them just like what you did to that Con back there."which made her stop in her track. The autobots were confused on what she was talking about, except Raf and Jack knew but they didn't want to earn a glare from her. "I don't know what your talking about."Nova said defiantly as Miko clenched onto her wrist.

"No way I know what I saw how you saved me from the con maybe you can..."Before Miko continued, NOva turned to her with an angry look, "And I say....NO?!"Which her shout was throughout the base, The lights dimmed a bit then brightened, though no one noticed. Miko staggered back, letting her go by her angry look as Nova said to her, "You think this a game to you....you really are stupid becoz of your recklessness for not thinking ahead that almost killed us. Well, heres something you should know; this is their problem, not mine and I don't want to be involve in a battle. If you try to force me, I won't hesitate to break your hand as if it was yesterday."When her threats pierce through Miko's mind as she backed away. Nova turned around and heading to the portal which walked passed by Jack as she said, "Are you leaving or what?"as she entered on the other side of the street.

Nova was impressed by its transportation as she turned to see Jack came out after the portal closes behind him. She said, standing beside the lamp post, "I'm glad you agree that you don't wanna be part of it. Well, I gotta hike now so nice knowing you....Jack."as she notice Jack expression as if he was curious. "What?"Nova questioned. "Today..." he started she listened intently. "...you weren't panicking at all." He finished. "Are you kidding? I was petrified" She replied. "No, you weren't. In those situations even those who would know what to do would still panic, you have been in these kind of situations before, haven't you?" he then asked. "More times than I can count, but your wrong about something Jack, I was petrified... for you guys especially... I mean I have a fixed goal in my head when it comes to staying out of danger if it was me by myself I'd have no idea what to do, it's one of my biggest flaws."She said as she leaned against the pole.

"But back there, what you did was not ordinary, creating a barrier to protect Miko. Do you have those powers?"

"Actually, it was my first time creating a force field. Beside, I was born with it and its best I don't show it to anyone, not even those alien robots. You should also tell Raf as well not to tell, even that pig-tail if she doesn't want to shut up."

"But that doesn't mean you have to say mean things?"

"And that's why I don't socialize with anyone. you may think I'm responsible but I'm not I'm just arrogant, stubborn and I always manage to put myself in danger, in a way I'm not like Miko."

"But Still... and I know this will probably sound cheesy but I do admire your courage." He said. "But you should probably apologize to Miko for saying mean things and trying to threaten her."

"Maybe, ALso i admire yours, and your ability to adapt to given situations."Nova comment as he gave her an unconvincing one. "Your not going back to the base anymore?" She then asked him solemnly. "i-i need to think about it" he said as Nova walk up to him with their face closed. Jack flinched that he never had anyone came close to his face before. "JAck, Do you treasure your life, your family and your home?"She asked in a serious tone.

He looked confused why she asked that as he answered nervously, "Well....yeah I do, I do treasure my life, my family and everything I had."Nova backed away from him and said, "Well just take note that...its best you stay that way, if this is your choice and your choice alone. Just listen to yourself and do what you want."Jack said, "Uh gee thx....you know your really kinda strange when you told me that."

"It's cool, and understandable." Nova said as she turned around and waved to him. "Well, I should go now so watch your back."as she left into the night. JAck watched as she left the neighborhood, he wondered what she really was and why she doesn't wanna tell anyone about her powers as he head back to the house.
