(A/N This is from Out of Past, this chapter tells about how Nova first met Lily 2 years ago. It's a bit long but it's worth it. Just to let you know she was 5 years old back then. BE warned, it has some violence that Nova wasn't proud of so anyway, Enjoy!!!)

  Nova sat on the stairs as she observed the activity before her, Optimus didn't move from his spot in front of the computer screen, struggling to decode the recovered Iacon database. While Bulkhead was struggling with his recovery, with Miko providing some "encouragement" in the form of ordering him around.

Bulkhead woke up and Miko never left his side. She pushed him to exercise and get him back to his fighting self again. HOwever, she seem to pushed him more and more and it was hard on the green wrecker. Nova knew Miko was still upset that Bulkhead can't fight in his condition. Ratchet did reported that he was able to wake him up but he is unable to walk. She wanted to help her friend but her ability to fix is unable to heal the damage that was done by Tox-En.

 Ratchet says Bulkhead needs a break, despite Miko being annoyed at the slow progress her friend is making. Finally, she got tired of it all and went up to the base roof, followed by Arcee.  

  Nova felt sympathetic of Miko that she wanted to help him and even she want to comfort her but she doesn't want to interfere their moments with Arcee. She lumped on the chair as she recalled of what Miko said before when she took revenge yet didn't feel any difference. She did remembered of how many people she heartlessly killed since she was once an assassin. She didn't feel anything without any emotions and cause of death didn't bother her. But everything change when she met....Lily. Her mind began to wandered at this point thoughts of before sunk in, the day she started her mission in locating the 13th target where she still didn't have emotion.....

~MEMORY OF  2 YEARS AGO~

She was driving on her black bike that her agents dropped her off at the pier at night. HEr mission was to locate the 13th target;  Dilan Cornell who works at the Tech Enterprise in New York, trying to make a disk that contains all the hacking system across all nations and organizations. Her intel shows that he was working with a terrorrist. She settled at the abandoned building beside the park where she was equipped with a computer and weapons. She also in her assassin battle suit She has no problem recharging her laptop since she has technopathy to charge whenever she want and even hack into the system. Nova was typing the computer, looking through the Tech Enterprise information using her hacking ability. HEr communicator was beeping in her earpiece (like star lord earpiece). She touched it as a voice called through the com, "Agent Reaper report"

"I have located him."

"Excellent," The commando said who is serving Silas. "I want you to observe him and see to it if he finishes the project. Wait for further instruction."

"Understood." as she ended the call.

The Next day, NOva was wearing a white top uniform with neck tie along with blue vest, black belt, gray pants and black sole shoes, even a fedora hat as a disguise. She has been observing Mr. Cornell, in doing his work and paper works without noticing. Although, she had not seen him finished his project yet. Later, when his shift was done, he was about to go home. Not realizing, she was following him home, trying to locate where he lives. She did try hacking however the security firewall was so tight that it might get suspicions. She was about to follow however she noticed the expression on his face. He seems cautious as though he felt someone was watching him. He looked around before he quickly called the cab. Nova was about to get to him but the cab drive away, much to her disappointment.

Nova was unable to located him as she head back to her hideout. She was walking across the street, passing by some people and going around the corner. Nova was wondering about her 13th target why he seems nervous. Could it be he knew NOva was targeting him? No....He doesn't even know she was Agent Reaper, the assassin who doesn't leave evidence. She was focusing on her job until she halted in her track and looked up the buildings. She recalled the first time she's been out in the field that she began to take notice at her strange surroundings, the life it existed there. The places she never been before was always fascinated her. Her mind filled with curiosity and wonder that she wished to learn more but she was told that her distraction was not one of her directive and should focus on the job.

While she was heading back, she sensed someone at the park as she looked up only to see a little child crying under the tree. Nova tilted her to analyze the little child, that she seems smaller to the rest. She had read about humans back in the lab there were different types; An adult and a child. From what she can tell, it was a female and judging the appearance she seems to be a younger age. She has short purple hair with ribbon, a tunic dress and a scarf.

Not only that, She tilted her head in curiosity why the child was crying. She looked up only to see a strange thing stuck on the tree. It had a oval object with string attract almost like it was floating.

'Why does she cry for a strange object?,' NOva thought, as she let that questioned aside then walked passed the little girl.

"I wish I want my balloon back." THe little girl sniffled. Nova halted her track as she stared at the little girl then at the object which she called balloon. NOva doesn't know what to make of it, she did recall when she helped Dr. Login and made her feel, what was the word she was searching for.....Happy? 

She only learned about emotions which she never experience as she questioned, "If you have that....Balloon, will you be....happy?"

THe little girl whirled around with a startled, she was told to never speak to stranger but this one seems different. It almost like she is a robot as she replied timidly, "Y-Yes."

Nova stared at her carefully before she walked towards the tree and used her reflexes to jump very high, much to the little girl's surprise. She watched as Nova jumped from branches to grabbed the balloon before she landed her feet on the ground. Her fedora hat fell off which her blue hair flowing in the air as she lifted her head with a apathetic look on her face.

The little girl was stunned when she saw her blue hair, it was almost like they were glowing. NOva lowered her body to show the balloon to her. THe little girl stared at the mysterious woman then at her balloon before she took it from her. Nova tilted her expression at the little girl which was not she was expecting. She grabbed her fedora hat and was about to leave until the little girl spoke, "Excuse me.....Are you the Blue Fairy?"

Nova blinked at her questioned but didn't respond before leaving the park. The next day, Nova presumed doing her duty, observing Mr. Cornell who is still doing the same routine. It was not enough information while serving coffee to the other employee. Later, she tried to follow him but he seems to evade her as though she felt like he knew he was being followed. She tried to keep up his pace until she lost him again. Nova narrowed her eyes at the crowded people that she lost her target.

She head back to her hideout as she passed the park until she sense someone behind her. Nova whirled around, preparing to fight until she halted, only to see the little girl smiling at her. The little girl said happily, "Blue Fairy....Its you."

Nova still seem startled by the name which she called her. "I knew I find you here, anyway thank you for getting my balloon back. Are you really the Blue Fairy from the story?" the little girl questioned.

Nova tilted her head, not responding the question. The little girl notice her silent before she understood. "Oh I get it....I understand.....you don't have to tell me if that's what you want BLue Fairy."

NOva was confused why she called her a Blue Fairy. The little girl grabbed her hand which surprised her as she began pulling her to the swing. "C'mon can you push the swing?" The little girl asked, settled at the seat. Nova spoke, "Push the swing? Wouldn't that be dangerous if you push it to hard?"

"Hard? No no you just have to push the swing gently." She said, with a tint of puzzlement. NOva stared at her confusedly before she comply by pushing it gently. It was different from when you pushed someone hard but this one is more gentler. She watched the swing moved forward then back as the little girl shouted, "Again."

NOva pushed the swing repeatedly, it was not exactly in her to do list. She was suppose to be doing her job but for some reason she couldn't leave the little girl. Nova looked around the park but noticed that she was the only one there. She wondered what is a child like her doing out alone.  She stopped pushing before looking down on the girl. "Why are you alone? For a child, you are not suppose to be alone outside."

THe little girl turned to her, "I'm not a child, I'm Lily."

"Lil-ly?"

"You can call me Lily. "

"Then...Lily, answer my question."

The one called Lily answered to her, "Well, My daddy was at work and he was too busy that he won't take care of me so he hired a nanny to look after."

"Nanny? So in other words, she is your caretaker?"

"Um....you could say that? Don't worry, my house is nearby so Nanny told me not to stay out here too long and come home before night time."

"I see. It is a pleasure to play with you now I must leave." Nova was about to leave until the little girl get off from her swing and grabbed her hand. "Wait.....Don't leave, Please stay. It's just I don't have anyone to talk to and your the first person to be....I don't want to be alone." Lily said sadly.

Alone? 

The word seem to made her recall of that time she first felt lonely before, whenever Dr. Login wasn't around she felt cold. Perhaps the little girl felt the same way, that was the first feeling she experience. Nova replied, "Very well, I will stay with you before night time."

Lily's face brightened and said, "Really? You mean it?!! Yeah!!" as she began to pull her out of the park. Nova questioned, "Where are we going?"

Lily said, "We're going someplace that is fun." Nova halted her track which Lily made her confused. "What's wrong?"

"What is fun which you speak off?"

"Huh....well, it's something to entertain and enjoy great things. Have you had any fun before?"

Nova seems to be startled that the fact she doesn't know what fun is. From where she came from, all she did was training and doing experiment. She replied, "No. My apologies."

Lily was shocked and assured, "Well, then you're going to have your first fun."

"Wouldn't your caretaker allow you to go alone?" 

"No worries beside I have money that my daddy lent me and I won't be alone......as long as your with me, I'll be fine. C'mon let's go." Lily said with a smile. While pulling her out of the park and heading to the place which she called arcade?

When they arrived at the arcade, Nova had never seen strange computers that do not have codes and data. Nova turned to her, "What is this? It looked like a computer yet they have strange pictures and had scores."

Lily informed, "Its a game consul which was why it was called an arcade. It's a place where everyone have fun."

"Fun." Nova mumbled. Lily used her money into the machine which was changed into tokens. Nova watched Lily played the game called 'Pac-man' which showed a yellow character eating another character until she lost the game, much to Lily's disappointment yet she smile when the consul spit out strange 5 red card paper. "It would be simple if you can find the pattern, that would help you win." Nova said to her.

"You don't have to follow it, it's just the game beside I got 5 tickets and maybe I'll just do my best next time." Lily said.

 "I do not understand....What was the purpose of that game? you have lost yet you didn't mind." 

"Nothing. It's just entertaining and that's what makes it fun."

"Fun." Nova mumbled again. Lily noticed her look when she kept staring at the game, she asked if would like to try which Nova comply. Lily instructed on how to play until later NOva succeeded in winning the game which the consul spit out 10 tickets. Lily cheered happily that she gets the tickets. Lily and NOva went to every game which NOva won so many which Lily smiled. No one noticed the kids who were watching them were amazed by the blue-haired girl's achievement. Lily was counting the ticket which  NOva blurted there were 150 tickets. THey head to the counter to buy/ trade which Lily pointed out a colorful crayons, drawing book and some sweets. As Lily and NOva came out of the arcade, Lily turned to Nova with a smile. "Wow you were amazing that you won in every game. Wasn't it fun?" Lily said joyfully. Nova doesn't seem to share what she was feeling however something in her mind told her that it was fun. She replied, still with an apathetic look, "Yes, It seems..... entertaining."

Lily read her expression, even she had a empty look but what she can tell from her eyes is showing that she had fun. Lily gave a candy to NOva as a reward although she had no idea what to do with it. However, she saw Lily opened her wrapper and placed it in her mouth. Nova copied her action as the moment the candy went into her mouth. She was entranced by the flavor in her mouth, she couldn't understand how it was made to taste so sweet. Lily saw how Nova was touching her mouth, realizing she liked the strawberry flavor.

Lily was glad that she was able to entertained her, they were about to head back until Lily was drawn to the claw crane machine beside the market. Nova saw Lily run towards it and leaning on the machine. Nova went over to see what she was looking, only to see a bunch of stuff toys. She wonder what Lily was so drawn into the stuff toys. She brought out the wallet and place a leftover tokens she had. She hold the controller to move the crane as she tried to get the black teddy bear however when she thought she succeeded, the crane wasn't able to grabbed it tightly. Lily huffed frustrated as she repeatedly tried till she was out of tokens. 

Lily frowned sadly at the machine and said, "This crane is cheating." Nova stared at the black bear then at Lily. "Cheating?" NOva questioned, tilting her head.

"Yeah that crane was able to grabbed the bear until it just dropped. It's no fair that I couldn't get a bear every week with all the tokens I saved up."

"What was the reason of obtaining your objective? From what I see, it is nothing just an object."

Lily turned to her, "Don't say that, it's just......it's cute. Someone to cuddle and hugged with."

"I don't see the purpose for obtaining it."

"You don't need reason to know....It's just cute, that's all. Beside, Mommy told me that when she had a teddy bear before, it reminded of her childhood and made her happy. So, I wanted one too so I could reminded of my happy time."

Nova stared blankly at Lily as she watched the little girl placed her head on the glass and said, "*sad sigh* I wish I want that black teddy bear."

Nova stared at the teddy bear that was near the open hole where the crane accidentally dropped. She tried to understand what was.....cute about the bear. To her, she felt no different towards to a stuffed animal but to Lily, she sees different. Nova looked at Lily who had a frown on her face for unable to get what she wanted. She questioned, "If you get that bear, will you be happy?"

Lily looked up to her sadly and nodded, NOva stared at the machine before she went closer. Lily asked curiously, "Wha-what are you doing?" Nova looked around to ensure no one was watching as she lifted her hand and focus on the stuffed animal. Her blue eyes began to glow as the blue highlight surrounding the bear and began to float in the air.

Lily was stunned when she saw the toy was floating inside the machine. NOva motion the toy to be dropped into the hole as she stopped glowing then bring it out of the machine. Nova turned to her, "Here you go."

Lily's expression brightened and said, "Wow!!! You can do magic, that's cool." as she grabbed the teddy bear and hugged it lovingly. "THank you, Blue Fairy." She said as she wrapped her arm around Nova's waist. Nova's body tensed when the child hugged her before letting go and skipping happily. Nova was left with an odd tingling feeling where Lily had hugged her. It felt the same where Dr. Login hugged her before. She felt her chest pounding the moment she was hugged. She wrapped her both hands around her body, but it didn't feel the same. 

As they got back to the park, Lily noticed her Nanny, who is looks like a young woman was standing there, looking for her. Lily exclaimed, "Nanny!!" she run to her while NOva stood there. Nanny said worriedly, "Lily, where were you? I was worried when your not at the park."

"Sorry....we went to the arcade and guess what I finally got a teddy bear and she..." Lily began, speaking fast until Nanny interrupted, "Wait wait slow down....Who's we?"

"Well, she's...." Lily turned around, only to see the park was empty and only bag of prizes from the arcade was found beside the tree. She looked around the park and said confusedly, "Huh....That's weird, where did she go?"

"Go who, dear?" Nanny questioned.

"The BLue Fairy.....she was here, she was with me."

"Honey, I know you believed in Fairytales but it's just a story. C'mon Let's go home before your father find out you were out too long." Nanny said, carrying the bag as she guide Lily back to her home. Lily looked over her shoulder at the park one more time before heading back. Nova who was hiding on the tree, watching Lily going home. She wasn't suppose to reveal to anyone.

Nova was told not to make contact with other people but the little girl is not like the other. She realized that counteracting with others is not part of Mech's order. However, her curiosity began to surface, from every mission she had never got the chance to see what the outside world was like. Silas told her that the world was full of corruption which was not exactly what he described. Nova has never experience many things and the feelings she felt. She stared at the caretaker taking the little girl home.

  "I can't really understand you. Even if you know my true identity, you'll.....what am I saying? I mustn't waste time with a child but I must focus on my mission." Nova whirled around before leaving into the night.

8 days passed, NOva didn't visit the park becoz she didn't want to involve the little girl that might interfere with her mission. So she thought it was best Lily to forget her. Nova has been watching Dr. Cornell trying to do his progress in making a program that can grant access to any nation. The russian man in suit went to Mr Cornell and asked, "How was the project going?"

Nova eavesdrop on what they were saying through her comm which she placed a bug in Mr. Cornell's office last night. Mr. Cornell replied, "I'm a little bit rusty....I just need time, Rublev. Once I'm done, I'll give it to you."

Rublev looked around before whispering the ear, "You better be....or else what's best for you. I will tell you the location where it's going to be held."

Dr. Cornell swallowed wearily as Rublev left him when the manager walked passed by. Nova noticed the behavior between Dr. Cornell and Rublev. Nova sense a mixture of fear and worry while Rublev has an odd behavior. Nova began to wonder what was Reblev connection with Dr. Cornell. Later, Nova didn't follow Dr. Cornell instead she was following Rublev into the alley as hid herself. Rublev stood in the alley where a man in hood came to him.

the man said, "Are you sure he is willing to cooperate?"

"Of course beside.....he will finish the project. I'm sure our benefactor would be please of how my business was done. In the meantime, Let me know which location where he wants to meet." Rublev said cunningly. THe two men left the alley, leaving NOva narrowing her eyes suspiciously. So the intel was right; she suspected Dr. Cornell is working with the terrorist. She just hope that she will retrieve the disk for Silas before they get their hands on it.

Nova head back to her hideout and began to do research about Rublev which shows that he was once an owner of the Weapon factory until he was caught stealing secrets and planing to sell at the black market for their personal gain. 

 She suspected that Dr. Cornell and Rublev were part of the terrorist as she report to MEch about her discovery. "Well done, Agent Reaper.....Now, make sure if your target finishes the project, I want you to obtained then terminate him. Make sure you leave no evidence."  The commando ordered.

"Yes Sir." Nova said as the linked was cut off. She sat at the rooftop, staring at the view as her mind began to wander. She recalled where Lily hugged her, she couldn't help but wonder what that pained in her chest was. It felt strange and tingly in her chest. She couldn't understand what it was. As she was preparing the weapons until she heard a voice shouting. She looked down to where she can see the view of the park was a little girl, Lily was looking for her and kept shout 'Blue Fairy.'

Come think of it, she has been seeing Lily coming to the park everyday after she noticed Nova wasn't there. Lily was disheartened at first until she put up a tough face as she kept searching for her. EVen though it was almost night time she still waited for her until her Nanny came to pick her up. Now, she was here again at the park and still searching for her. Nova wonder why she didn't gave up on her.

Nova was about to ignored her when she saw three boys came to the park and saw Lily. She watched as the two boys began to teased her then one of them snatched the black teddy bear from her hand, Lily began to chased after them while the two boys kept tossing the bear to each other. Then, they began to call mean things to her as her eyes began to form tears.

"Aw....what's the matter? Are you gonna cry for daddy?" The fat boy mockingly.

"Yeah....YOur Daddy is not here. Hahaha..." The bandanna boy said, holding her teddy bear. Lily wanted to called out to daddy but she is not going to cry so she stood tall while her eyes still tears.

"GIMME back my Teddy, If you don't.....BLUE FAIRY IS GOING TO PUNISH YOU." Lily shouted. 

The three boys stared blankly then began to laughed at her. "Blue FAiry? Please its just a stupid fairytale, we both know there's no such thing as fairies." The spiky hair boy said as both of them continued to laugh. Lily lowered her head sadly and mumbled, "Blue FAiry....." as she was about to cry until....

"Give back her bear." 

Lily looked up and was surprised that the blue-haired girl (in disguise form) appeared before her. THe three boys got surprised where she came from. The teenage girl walked towards them and took the bear from them, much to their surprised. 

"Hey what was that for?!" The bandanna boy said. The fat boy said, "Yeah we're just playing with her."

Nova said coldly, "ganging up on the weak, how pathetic. Only coward do that and you are one."

The spike hair boy said, "Corny."

"Are you kidding me?" The Bandana boy said. NOva didn't respond as she turned around and head to where Lily was standing. The three boys had devious look on their face as they picked up 3 tin cans that was on the ground and thrust the cans at her. Lily saw it and yelled, "Look out!!"

The 3 cans were about to hit her until they stopped in mid-air which was almost closed to the blue-haired girl. The three boys were surprised as she turned to faced them with a murderous look. "DO YOU WANT TO DIE? IF YES, THEN I'LL MAKE IT HURT." Nova threatened and to prove her point, her pupils were gone from her eyes and her irises were glowing brightly which crushed the 3 tin cans before they were dropped on the ground.

The 3 boys were shaking in fear, terrified of what she did to the cans as they scrambled to run out of the park. Nova's eyes went back to normal, relaxing her body for bit before turning to Lily who was smiling. Nova gave the toy back to her as Lily said happily, "I knew you might come, thank you."

Nova didn't replied as she was about to leave until she felt someone grabbed her sleeve. Nova looked down to see Lily was holding her. "Blue Fairy, where did you go in the past 8 days? I went to see you at the park but you weren't there."

Nova didn't answered her questioned as Lily continued, "I searched everywhere for you and waited for you till night time." This what pique Nova of what Lily just said. Nova spoke stoically, "why did you come to look for me?"

Lily was glad that she finally spoke as she replied, "Becoz I thought maybe you got involved in trouble like this city where you've come from. I'm suppose to be worried."

  "Worried? Due to that feeling, Did you search inefficiently, and waited for me wastefully?"  

  "Not a waste. Becoz we got to talk together."   

"Your reason is that we get to talk together?"

"Uh-huh, Blue Fairy becoz your my friend, my best friend."

"Friend...?" Nova's mind became curious, wondering that concept. The word that described her doesn't understand the meaning.  "What is friend?"

Lily blinked as her face turned to a thinking expression, trying to think of an answer. Lily replied, "Well....It's um.....somebody who you can talk about everything with, who makes you feel comfortable without fear of judgement. A friend who can also be someone who is always there for you, caring about your well-being, even though they are different. " 

"So your saying....I became your friend becoz we are different."

  "That's Right! We are totally different. Sometimes we'll maybe conflict with each other. But it'll be fine! As long as I want to know you more, Let's do everything fun all together."  

"ME and You? Do you have any reason it'll be fine?"

"Well...."

  "Then It's impossible."

  "No wait it's just....becoz I love you, Blue Fairy"  

Nova's body tensed the moment Lily said to her. "Is that Ok?" Lily said. Nova started to emote what was strange to her. She felt a pain in her chest even though she doesn't have injury. It was something she had never experienced. Nova didn't noticed her eyes showed a tint of pure emotions before turning back to dull. Lily noticed her frozen look as she asked worriedly, "A-Are you alright?"

Nova snapped out of it as she replied, "Y-Yes, I'm fine." 

"Phew...then I'm glad....you still haven't answered my questioned why you didn't came? why you disappeared?"

Nova stared at her adorably look as she couldn't help it. Nova replied stoically, " I was...busy."

"Busy?" Lily tilted her head with curiosity.

"The reason I did not appear at the park was becoz I wasn't suppose to make contact with anyone."

"Why?"

Nova don't know what to respond since the information was classified. "Oh I get it, Your pretending to be a citizen and not suppose to tell anyone who you truly are." Lily said in understanding. NOva raised her eyebrow, she wonder if the little girl knew who she was then that would compromise the mission. "Your a fairy in disguise and you were so busy helping people....DOn't worry, Blue Fairy your secret is safe with me." She added with a smile.

Much to NOva's relief, the thought when Lily said 'helping people' wasn't in her description but decided to let it slide. Lily let out a sad sigh and said, "I guess your going now....Well, I'm glad you came so I don't have to come back. I should just go home..." as she was about to leave when Nova spoke.

"Where would you like to go?"

 Nova noticed the sad look on her face, for some reason she sensed that the little girl wanted to be with her. Nova wasn't suppose to break protocols but then again perhaps she might learn what was like from the outside world. Dr. Login did said she should learn to decide herself. So she did the first thing she has never done before; Break the Rules.

Lily turned to her, "What?"

"Well, I wish to know about this world and I wondered if....there is someplace you wish to go."

Lily face brightened with joy as she said, "Sure, there are lots of places to go." as she grabbed her hand and led Nova out of the park. While Lily was pulling, NOva began to wonder what she felt in her chest.  'What was that pain?'

The places where Lily took was filled with shops, streets and other buildings. First, Lily showed her many food stores as she bought some ice cream, she doesn't know if the blue fairy likes vanilla ice cream. Nova never heard of ice cream before, s saw how Lily was eating her ice cream so she copied her action. Nova's eye widened how it was cold yet the flavor was amazing. Second, Lily and Nova watched 2 acrobatic performers do some stunts on the streets, much to her amazement. One man standing on th5e chair, holding both his arm while the other was on top of him with his legs upward. 

Everyone applause by their performance as Lily and Nova joined in too. The little boy who was holding the balloon while clapping until it slipped into his hand. He started to cry which caught NOva's attention, she saw the man trying to comfort the boy about getting a new balloon. Lily spoke, "Poor kid, his balloon flown away." Nova stared at the floating balloon and asked, "If I get the balloon, would that make him happy?"

Lily turned to her with a confused look, "Well, It will make him happy. But how will--?" She wasn't able to finish it as she noticed Nova wasn't beside her. NOva was running towards the tree as she jumped from branch to branch then launched herself in the air. Everyone who took notice were shocked that she jumped really high as she grabbed the balloon before she was falling. They were terrified that she was about to fall to her death however she landed on the man foot which they were still in their stunt. Everyone applause by her performance before Nova landed on her feet and gave the balloon to the boy. The two men praised her of her reflexes.

Finally, Lily showed her to the park where statue and pigeons are. Nova was surprised the park was bit bigger than the old one.  Lily paid for the bird seeds and began feeding the birds. NOva cocked her head as though she seems interested. Lily asked she should try. NOva tried to approach but they all flew away, Lily told her to stay still and feed them. Nova complied as she waited patiently until the birds came then began to feed them. 

Lily giggled when she saw the two pigeons landed on NOva's shoulder. She seems amazed that it was her first time seeing birds, just like she saw in the book. Nova raised her arm to the bird as she petted her head. The white pigeon sense a trust on the strange girl which was the reason it let her pet it. Then, Lily showed Nova about the flower garden and butterflies. Nova had seen different types in the book and now she was seeing it real life. Lily began to chased the butterflies playfully while Nova sat there looking at the flowers. 

  They were all hanging out in the field relaxing. Nova gazed up at the sky mesmerized at how beautiful it looked, she had never seen the sky so blue. For all her life, she has been the laboratory with no knowledge of the outside world. She has seen pictured on the book but it was nothing compared to the scenery. While NOva was lost to the view, A butterfly flew before her. NOva gazed at the small creature before lifting her finger which it landed on her. Soon, a few butterflies flutter over to NOva's side, surrounding her.

Lily was awed that the Blue Fairy was holding the butterfly and was surrounded with butterflies. Lily said, "Wow your holding the butterfly, I always wanted to hold them but they just fly away the moment I try to grabbed them. I wish I wanna hold it."

Nova stared at the butterfly then at Lily as she walked slowly towards her with the 3 or 4 butterflies followed her. Lily looked up as Nova knelt down to her and grabbed Lily's hand. Nova placed the butterfly onto Lily's hand, much to her surprise. Nova instructed, "You must not startled it or it might fly away." Lily nodded as she smiled gleefully.

Nova was holding the teddy bear that Lily asked her to hold as she was making something with her flowers. Nova seems curious in what she was doing as she went to her. Lily heard someone coming over to were she was and looked up to see the Blue Fairy gazing at the almost completed flower crown in her hands. Lily smiled, knowing that she was curious as to what she was doing.  

"I'm making a crown out of these flowers. It's almost done." Lily told her. "Would you like to see?"

Nova sat on the ground which meant a bit in affirmation. Lily continued working on the flower necklace, having to carefully weave the flowers together so that she didn't tear them. That was one of the things that made creating a flower necklace a bit difficult. She soon finished it and smiled.

"There! It's done!" Lily said, holding the flower crown out to NOva to see. "This is for you."

She placed the flower crown over Nova's head so that it rested around her head. Nova stared at the crown, causing Lily to giggle.

"You're welcome." even though Nova didn't say anything.

Lily went back to looking up at the sky, taking a deep breath before letting it out. "The sky seems so big out here!" She said.

"Yes it is and it's....... beautiful, too." Nova added.

"I know." Lily agreed. "It's so peaceful and serene out here."

Both of them were silenced as NOva spoke, "Lily."

"Yes." 

"I need to ask....I recalled You said your father was busy and I began to wonder.....Where is your mother then? Surely, she should be taking care of you instead of a caretaker." 

Lily's face became solemn as she lowered her head and pulled out a necklace which shows a picture of her mother. Lily said sadly, "This is my mommy....she looks pretty, right?" 

Nova stared at the picture before she continued, "Now, Mommy is gone...."

"GOne? where did she go? Surely, she will return."

"No not gone I mean she's never coming back.....Daddy told me that mommy died in a heart cancer."

Nova was taken back by her statement as she continued, "I love Mommy so much that I thought about her everyday. I still have my picture of her so that I won't forget her." 

She lowered her head and said, "May I ask you? Why did you call me Blue Fairy?"

Lily answered, "Becoz your a fairy that grants wish....before you granted my wish when I wanted the balloon. I read a storybook about a fairy who help people with problems...I thought maybe if I wish for Mommy to come back but....."

"But...."

"Nanny told me that my wish can't bring back the past what had been done. I don't think you can't grant my wish. "

'So she compared me to a story book.'

"But that's alright becoz Mommy is watching over me in the sky right now."

"Watching over you in the sky? How can you know if you can't see her?"

"You don't need to know, you just feel it. Even though I can't see her but she'll always be with me...." Lily pointed her chest and said, "...right here."

Nova stared to where Lily was pointing to where it was until a droplet fell. NOva looked up to see Lily shedding tears, something she had never seen before. She recalled about the Ugly Duckling, it showed the character was....crying. Dr. Login did explained that it was sad, the word is a concept to her. Right now, she is staring at Lily who was crying.

"You are feeling sad? Why?"

Lily looked up and said sadly, "Becoz I missed mommy so much that she is not here anymore, Daddy is the only family I have. If he's gone, I'll be all alone and I don't want to be alone." 

Nova's body shaken when she said that, she felt a pang in her chest, something she never felt before; sadness. Didn't know what to do as she wrapped her arms around Lily's body and tried to comfort her. To think a feeling of sadness could have an impact of her loss. Is this what sadness felt like? As Lily began to cry in her chest while Nova comforted her silently.

Minutes passed and It was almost sun setting, Nova was carrying Lily in her arms since after her sad moments ended and she seems to worn out. As they made it to the park, Nova placed Lily down as she looked up to the Blue Fairy. "It was fun...I'm glad we get to spend time together." Lily said.

Nova replied, "Yes it was...I can see how you cared about your mother so much."

Lily tilted her head and asked, "What about you? Do you have someone you care?"

NOva's mind became blank when she began to wonder. DOes she even care before? She thought about Dr. Login in how she took care of her and taught her about Earth. Unlike Silas, he doesn't seem to think her as a person yet an object. "There is one...she is different from others, she seems to tend to my well-being. She praised me when I did something good. Although, I don't understand her intention." Nova said blankly.

"Oh.....Hm...I'm not sure what to say but maybe becoz she loves you. I mean she does care about you, right?"

There was the feeling again, NOva cringed at the strange and odd feeling in her chest. She knelt on the ground while clutching her chest, much to Lily's concerned. "Error....Does not compute....what is happening to me?" Nova muttered, her body shaking.

"Blue Fairy, What's wrong? Are you alright?"

"I...don't know, I feel whenever I thought about someone and what you said, my chest feels pain but warm for some reason."

Lily wasn't sure what she was describing. Seconds later, a realization came to her. "Oh that wasn't pain at all, what your feeling just now was happiness." Lily said.

"Happiness."

"Uh-huh that means your happy that you have someone you cared about. I guess you really love her huh."

Happy? Is that what she was feeling? It was the first time she felt it since she was in the laboratory. Is this what Dr. Login meant when her heart tells her? Is this what happiness felt like? She recalled when Dr. Login smiled at her, it felt warm which meant that she was happy for Nova. She looked up to the little girl holding her teddy bear and replied, "I do."

"Well I'm happy for you that you have a family there."

Family.

"Yes it was."

"Your lucky that you have a family."

"What do you mean?"

"It's just.....Daddy never spend time with me and he always come late. *sad sigh* Even if you can't grant my wish but do you know what I wish for?

Nova tilted her head in curiosity as she answered, "I wish to have the best memories I had with Daddy like how families do, spend time together."

Nova seems very touched by her wish but it was ashamed that she wasn't a fairy who she claimed to be. All she ever do was assured the little girl. Nova stood up as she placed her gentle hand on her head and stroke her, just like how Dr. Login did.

"Maybe someday your wish might come true." Nova said to Lily.

Both of them stared at each other before a clock bell was heard. Lily said, "Well, I better go now. Nanny is expecting me to come home. See ya." She gave farewell wave before heading back. Nova didn't know what to do so she copied her action as well. Nova left the park in the flash however she didn't noticed the black van driving passed by and was watching the little girl.

 She was sitting at the bench where they have cars and streets. To think Nova had a wonderful time, getting to know about the outside world, all thanks to the little girl. She guessed that she did the right choice. Even though Nova doesn't know where Lily lives but she seems happy to see her.  

Happy? Nova touched her chest and felt a warm feeling inside her. So this is what love is? She had never knew it could be so wonderful....after all that isolation and missions. She was never taught anything about the Earth. When Lily refer Dr. Login as a family, she began to wonder if that facility really was her home. Becoz it didn't feel like her home, more like imprisonment. 

THat's when something came to her mind; since when did she began to have feelings? She was not suppose to feel and think but to obey order. Yet, she recalled where she assassinated 12 target, at first she was suppose to be proud of what she was doing but for some reason she didn't felt no different.  She wonder what was the feeling she had when she did something she wasn't feeling good.

While her thoughts were wandered, NOva forgotten about her mission and was about to resume when she saw Dr. Cornell entering the telephonebooth. Nova found her target as she used her technopathy to hack into her earpiece  which allowed to connect to the telephone booth. She wanted to hear whom she was speaking. Dr. Cornell spoke to the phone which Nova recognize whom he was talking to; Rublev.

Rublev: Have you completed the disk?

Cornell: Yes I did

Rublev: Excellent, Tonight I want you to wait at the old park where the abandoned building is. I'll have one of my men escort you to our location.

As the call ended, Dr. Cornell came out of the telephone booth, looking around cautiously before leaving the streets. Nova heard their conversation as she head back to her hideout becoz that was the place they were suppose to meet and where she was. It was night time, Nova was in her assassin outfit as she was on her bike, hiding behind the alley and watching Dr. Cornell standing at the old park and holding a small silver briefcase. The black car came and guided Dr. Cornell inside before leaving the park. Nova reported to Mech that Dr. Cornell that he had completed the disk and she received order to steal the disk then terminate Dr. Cornell and his gang.

Nova was following them from a distance without letting them know. As they made it to the pier where there's a warehouse. Nova parked somewhere before she headed to the tall building. She brought out her rifle and lay on the ground while locking on her target. She used her technopathy again to enhance the earpiece into listening close. 

  She watched through the scope as she sees Dr. Cornell and Rublev along with two or three men standing at the pier as if they were waiting for someone. Rublev said, when he saw a boat coming,  "Ah, that would be our buyer." Nova noticed a boat heading towards them. "Right on time." He added.

Dr. Cornell turned to Rublev, "Look, I did your bidding. Now, you swear you won't harm my family."

"Of course I kept my word....." Much to Dr. Cornell's relief however the situation became worse. Rublev mentioned, "Although, Since you never really bought into our little project, precautions had to be taken. 

"What do you mean?" Dr. Cornell questioned. Rublev turned to him with a smug look and said, "We have your daughter, Lillian." 

Nova blinked, 'Lilian? Strange, Aren't they working together? Yet, he seems threatened even though my orders were to terminate him. Something is not right.'

Dr. Cornell widened as he was enraged that Rublev had his daughter, he wanted to strangle him but he was restrained by two men behind him. The benefactor walked out of the boat and said, "Ah so your finally here? Do you have it?"

Dr. Cornell growled at Rublev before opening the briefcase, showing the disk to the benefactor. He placed the disk into his laptop which the screen shows all the hacking access to every organizations and nations. The benefactor was pleased as he placed the disk back in the case. The benefactor said, "It's great doing business with you.... But, uh, were not through, are we?"

"No, were not." Rublev agreed. Nova noticed the man beside Dr. Cornell raised his gun, pointing at him. "I'm afraid his contract had a 'no loose ends' clause."

Nova was shocked that they betrayed their own group, why would they do that?

Dr. Cornell had a worried look and said, "No. No, no, no. Please listen. Please. Look, I promise I wont say anything. I swear. I won't say anything. Just released my daughter, Rublev."

"I'm afraid I can't do that beside I can't have you tell anyone and as for your daughter.....you'll be joining her."

Nova didn't waste time as the moment the man was about to killed Dr. Cornell until he was shot on the head. Much to their surprise, even Dr. Cornell, they have no idea where the shot come from. Nova shot another one beside Rublev which caused them to take cover and the benefactor dropped the brieftcase. Dr. Cornell felt such a fool to trust Rublev, therefore he took the briefcase then started running. THe Benefactor who didn't like to be shot, jumped on the boat and leave while Rublev got into his phone and called his men to captured him.

Nova couldn't get a clear shot that he managed to avoid from her target. She jumped off from her spot as she head to where Dr. Cornell might be. When two men saw her they immediately point their guns at Nova and they immediately fired. Nova dodge their bullets easily and when she found an opening, she shoot twice, one at each man. Nova walk inside and she see five more men and they immediately start firing. Nova continue dodging and when one almost grazes her shoulder, she started to become more serious. Using her speed, She ran around and knocked the back of their heads with her sniper. Nova realize that this their hideout and would explained the smuggling. She also noticed that her sniper was out of bullet so she tossed it and took the pistol from the fallen man. She managed to reload it before heading out.

She headed towards the warehouse only to find Dr. Cornell holding the briefcase, she recalled the orders are to retrieve the disk and terminate him but somewhere deep inside her subconscious is telling her that it doesn't seem right. Dr. Cornell was about to make run for it until he was met with Rublev and two more of his henchmen standing behind him, guns trained at him.

Rublev said, "Where do you think your going?"

"Away from you. I'm going to destroy this disk and make sure you won't have it." Dr. Cornell said.

"Really? Even if it's your daughter's life." He added. He snapped his finger as dozen of henchmen surrounded him while the other beside Rublev was holding a familiar girl, much to Dr. Cornell and Nova's horror. 

"Daddy." The little girl cried from her captor. 

Dr. Cornell said, "Lily?!"

"Daddy.....I'm scared." Lily said, her eyes streaming with tears and her body shaking in fear.

Nova couldn't believe the little girl she met was....the daughter of Dr. Cornell. Her real name was Lillian but she had no idea she was called Lily. That would explained when she meant her father was busy. Nova's mind became scrambled as if she was pulled in a tug of war, Is she going to kill Lily's father, the one whom she befriended? Should she follow orders? Wouldn't that make Lily sad if she's alone?

Dr. Cornell raised both his hand as he released the briefcase which the one of the henchmen took the briefcase while the other releases Lily. She run to her father and hugged her frightened. "Daddy." She whispered. Her father said to her, "It's alright, I'm here."

The henchmen gave the briefcase to Rublev before he turned to the father and the daughter. "Well, I got what I need. Although, It's ashamed that your reunion comes to an end. Bye bye Doctor." Rublev mockingly as he motioned them to point their gun at them.   

 "Daddy....." Dr. Cornell looked down to see Lily in tears as he hugged her tightly. He whispered sadly, "Lily....I'm sorry." Both of them hugged each other tightly, refusing to let go with their eyes shut.

They ready their guns and were about to fire....awaiting their death but nothing happened. Dr. Cornell opened his eyes, only to see two henchmen were killed. Rublev and the henchmen were shocked to see Nova standing in front of them with her pistol pointed at them. Nova didn't know what she did but for some reason it felt same when she Dr. Login was in trouble. The trigger that concerned of the little girl made her body to react as if she felt the urge to.....protect them. 

  The henchmen were about to shoot but Rublev stops them with a motion of his hand. "You know... you seem very familiar." He stated.

  Nova stay quiet and her face emotionless while Dr. Cornell hold his daughter and took a step back away from her.   

  "Y'know You remind me of the assassin known as Agent Reaper, the one who leaves no evidence. But that couldn't be you, can it? But then again, no one really knows how she looks like." He rambles as he takes a step forward.  Dr. Cornell was shocked that he had heard of Agent Reaper, she was the legendary assassin who terminates target without leaving evidence. Not even the police or the government were unable to capture her. HE wondered why would she come to protect them? She was suppose to be a killer yet it's different.

Nova placed her pistol as she got into her fighting stance, The two henchmen on both sides shot her but Nova brought out her dagger and sliced them with speed as if they were butter before placing it back. THe two bullets were cut in half and were dropped on the ground, much to their surprise.

  "Stop!" Rublev orders and they did, but Nova kept her eye trained at them since she is surrounded by henchmen.   

  "But I know that you are the infamous Black Reaper. No one else has a weapon and skill like yours." Rublev said. "Now, that we finally meet, what if I offer you a deal?" 

Nova stay silent, her eyes narrowed at him. "Not much of a talker, are we? Well, you don't need to talk. What I offer is a place with us, you will be directly under my orders." Her response is to really the sniper rifle trigger. "Ah, wait, I'm not done yet. You will be paid very handsomely for your services, how does a million dollars sound like? Not bad, huh?" 

Slowly, Nova relax her stance and she could see everyone else also relax and she see Rublev grinning. However, in a blink of an eye, She pulled the trigger and purposely miss him as she glare at him. 

  "I take that as a no." Rublev grumbles as he narrows his eyes at Nova. "You sure are hard to convince, Agent Reaper. Kill her." He ordered. Three henchmen lunged towards her however Nova grabbed his arm and broke it with her elbow, he howled in pained before he fell limped. Dr. Cornell covered Lily's body to prevent from witnessing it. 

Nova attacked the two men as she did a uppercut and roundhouse kick to the other. The other 5 henchmen were about to take fire but Nova shot them on the head, their bloods caught on her outfit even her face. Nova noticed she was out of bullet. She dropped the pistol then brought out her dagger, with a cold expression. "Surrender."

Rublev scoffed, "I-I don't know how you did that but...." he snapped his finger which the all the henchmen pointed their guns at Nova and Dr. Cornell. "....You all going to die here. Shoot them."

  Soon bullets are flying towards them, Dr. Cornell braced for impact until everything went slow motion. They saw something unbelievable that all the bullets stopped to where Nova was standing while raising her dagger.

Nova said coldly, "Wrong answer." as her face turned to them with her eyes glowing furiously and releases a tense force. Which caused the bullet to shot back at their attackers. All the henchmen were shot one by one until they were dropped dead.

Rublev was the only one left standing, he was terrified of what she just did. He realized that she was no human, more like a monster. Nova walk towards him which made Rublev dropped on the ground and shaking in fear. He stuttered, "G-GEt a-away fr-from m-me."

Nova stopped to where she was before pointing the dagger at him. Rublev was terrified of Agent Reaper which caused him to fainted. Nova turned to Dr. Cornell who was still hugging his daughter. From what he can tell, she is a dangerous assassin who finds their targets and even kill witnesses as well. He couldn't allow her daughter to die as he said, "Wait don't....listen I won't tell anyone but please don't hurt us."

Lily opened her eyes as she turned to whom he was talking to. Lily couldn't see the obscured face on the stranger. As the moonlight began to brightened the shadow, which obscured person was reveal to be the Blue Fairy. Lily said happily, "Blue Fairy!!"  as she run towards her. "You came!!!" She said, hugging Nova on the waist.

Dr. Cornell cried, "Lily!!! No!!"  

Fearing that Agent Reaper might killed her as he watched her raised the dagger and though Lily would be killed but instead....she placed the dagger into her much, much to his confusion.

Nova stared at Dr. Cornell then at Lily who was smiling at her. She was ordered to kill Dr. Cornell and his organization but she began to wonder if it's she wonder if its right to kill a man who had a child. She began to recall Lily's wish that her father was the only family she had and didn't want to be alone.She was ordered to kill but she hesitated as if something deep inside her mind is telling her that it wasn't right. Therefore, she placed her dagger back in her sheath becoz she discover that he is innocent and doesn't deserved to be killed. She decided not to terminate him.

Nova placed her hand on Lily's head and said, "Are you alright?" 

Lily said, "We were so scared that those men kidnapped me and threatened Daddy. I wish for you to come rescue us and here you are. Thank you for saving us and I'm glad you came."

"Yes, I do." as she returned with a hug, despite the blood on her body. 

Dr. Cornell slowly stood up with a confused look as Lily went back to her father and pointed, "See Daddy that's the friend I was talking about, she's the Blue Fairy." He looked disbelief to think his daughter to call the killer her friend. Nova placed the briefcase on the ground before looking at them. Dr. Cornell whispered, "Lily, Would you mind wait outside for a minute? I don't want you standing around and waking up with these....sleeping bad guys."

Lily thought about it and nodded in understanding as she head outside becoz he can't have his daughter see dead bodies and a knocked out man. Dr. Cornell turned to Agent Reaper who is still standing there, she sense a confusion within him.

"What was your objective here?" he questioned.

 Nova answered, "I was sent by the organization to steal the disk that you created for the terrorist then terminate you to prevent any witness."

"You were sent here.....to kill me." 

"That is until I discover you were not working with them, instead they threatened your family and forced you to finish the project until they kill you." 

Nova went over to RUblev as she rummaged through his pockets and pants. However, Dr. Cornell was still confused that Agent Reaper was suppose to be heartless but for some reason her words sounded sincere all of a sudden. Nova walked towards him as she handed the briefcase and a USB on Dr. Cornell's hand. 

"This USB contains all Rublev's smuggling operation which would prove as evidence. It's best you should erased the data and destroy the disk. Then, I want you to get away, far from here. I don't mind calling the authorities even if you report about me." Nova instructed as she turned around and was about to walk away.

"I...I don't understand, you were sent here to kill me instead you spared my life. Why?" He questioned.

Nova halted her tacks as she turned to him, "Becoz your her only family she had.....Lily didn't want to be alone." which shock Dr. Cornell when she said his daughter's name.

"You have a nice daughter......the reason I couldn't kill you is that she wished for you to be a family again like before. Take good care of her and give her the best memories she ever had." Before she disappeared into the shadow.

Dr. Cornell was shocked and touched by her daughter's wish, he realize that she has been all alone while he was too busy not having time with her. He had no idea how she feels about him, all she ever wanted was to spend time with each other. He knelt on the ground while holding the briefcase and the USB. He mumbled, tears coming out from his eyes, "Thank you....."

Police siren came which Nova was the one who contacted them, using her earpiece. She was standing at the crate, watching from a far distance. Where Dr. Cornell holding her daughter stood there, speaking to a young man who happens to be an agent (Agent Fowler).

Nova was....glad to see Lily was happy to be reunited with her father. She felt a tingling sensation, her chest feels warm. That means she felt happy, something she never felt in her entire life. Is this what Dr. Login mean by love? What is right or wrong? After getting to understand about Lily, she was able to learned new things.

Nova whirled around before looking over her shoulder, glancing at Lily in his arm. "Now I know what it's like to have feelings.....after spending time with a child, I had so much fun. Thank you, Lily I will never forget you." as she left into the night and falsely reported to Silas that he got away. And that's how she first develop feelings, the mind to choose.

~Back to the present~

After what happened in the past, She began to realize what it was when she felt no different after killing her targets; the feeling of guilt and regret. Which would explained why Miko felt no different. Perhaps she shared the same thing. Nova lay in the couch staring at the ceiling as she thought about that time, then she heard the elevator open as Miko and Arcee entered the room.

"Hey... I'm back..." Miko went to her guardian. "Bulk... I..."

"It's ok, Miko. I promise, I won't ever leave you..." Bulkhead assured.

The Japanese girl hugged her guardian's servo as Nova observing her friends on the rail, with a genuine smile on her lips. Arcee said to Nova, "Is there something in your mind, Nova?"

"Nah I'm just thinking about the past events." nova said as she walked in closer to her side. "You know that time where I met Lily?"

"Recent events have brought on these thoughts i believe?" she said.

Nova nodded. "Y'know at first I never knew these feelings are important. It's what keep us from being lost, made us for who we are. I'm glad Miko and Bulkhead reconcile their friendship." 

Arcee agreed, " So do I."

    Now, when she is watching them with joy, The sight of Miko and Bulkhead, all she saw was the memory of herself and Lily hugging each other.  

'I'm glad I get to see you one last time, Lily."

Nova clutched her shirt into her chest where the key is hidden. Unknown to her, underneath her shirt is that the key was glowing dimly which seems to be pulsing.
