Several days ago, Miko wasn't happy when she learned that Wheeljack had come for a visit and she hadn't been there. Nova had become much better with her abilities, it really wasn't hard once she had the concept of it. THe next morning, She got up as she eaten her breakfast and took a shower before heading to the main base.  As She arrived, only to see Ratchet and Bulkhead were there and they appeared to be leaving, "Is everything ok?" She asked.

"Yes, please man the bridge until we get back." Ratchet said before they left. Nova looked at map and saw the message she hardly recognize; Starscream's.

 "Oh great." She growled.

  Minutes later, Ratchet and Bulkhead came though the bridge again to see the team gathering.   Ratchet addressed to Optimus and explained the situation, "The coordinates Starscream provided are within an abandoned Decepticon mine."

"Hold on. You just fixed him up and sent him on his way?" Arcee accused.

"Have you forgotten that he almost destroyed my T-cog?" Bumblebee added

"What were we supposed to do? Take him back here?" Bulkhead retorted.

"Not that I wouldn't stop any chance to put Airachnid down, but she isn't the only one who robbed me a partner."

"You weren't there Arcee, Starscream was weak, defenseless." 

"And learning of the Insecticon could provide highly tactical. Starscream's intel has proved credible in the past." Ratchet said.

"Sure. When he wasn't busy stabbing us in the back!" Arcee retorted.

"He does that to everyone." Nova said.

"Without the resources, we possessed back on Cybertron, we lack ready means of capturing and imprisoning our enemies. Nonetheless, I do not condone the termination of any defenseless life form." 

Ratchet set the coordinates that Starscream showed as the groundbridge opened. Optimus turned to his team, " Autobots, roll out, you too Nova."

Nova was surprised when Optimus called her to join in on the mission. "Ok, why?" She asked, a little uncertain as they went through the bridge.  "I believe you are ready for some field experience." Optimus answered. Nova thought about it before she transformed into her robot mode. 

As they arrived at the entrance of a mine. Nova said sarcastically, "Oh goody, small holes." They climbed down then followed a tunnel until they came to a large cavern and Bulkhead gasped, "Starscream never said anything about Megatron!"

"It would seem Starscream orchestrated this convergence in the hope that all his enemies would destroy each other on his behalf." Optimus said.

Bulkhead growled, "And I fell for it."

"Well you can have whatever's left of Megatron, Airachnid's mine." Arcee said quickly before charging Airachnid.

Optimus moved to stop her but it was too late, "Arcee, no!"

"Sheesh, I know Arcee has a vendetta with Arachnid but this is ridiculous." Nova said to him.  

 She watched Arcee activated her arm blades and charged at the femme 'Con. While Megatron continued to fight the Insecticon, he managed to kick the bug into the wall. He looked where Airachnid was watching and saw she was not there. He then looked to his right and saw the Autobots have arrived.

"So many surprises, today." Megatron remarked before slicing the incoming Insecticon.

Megatron grabbed the bug's claws before kicking him in the chest, ripping them in the process. He equipped his sword and charged then sliced off his head. The body fell to the ground.

"Let that be a warning to anyone who dares cross a gladiator of Kaon, be they Decepticon..." Bee and Bulkhead jumped down behind him and aimed their blaster while Optimus landed in front of him. Nova jumped off his shoulder and landed beside his leg. "...or Autobot." 

Megatron began to walk but collapsed to the ground because of his injuries. Nova felt a little sympathy for him as he fell helpless on the floor but had to remind herself that what she had witness on Earth was nothing compared to what he had done on Cybertron. Megatron spoke, "It would seem that I'm unarmed and at your mercy. So, tell me Optimus, do you intend to take me live? Or end this here and now?" 

 She saw the gears turning in Optimus' mind as he struggled to find an answer to the problem before he transformed his hands into guns and took aim at Megatron. Before he could fire, blaster fire came from above. Nova raised her hands ready to create a shield if need be as several Decepticons transformed and landed on the ground, surrounding them in the process. 

  "The surprised never cease." Megatron remarked.  

Optimus one blaster at Megatron while he pointed the other at a Vehicon just as Dreadwing landed.

"Oh scrap." Bulkhead cursed.

  Nova tensed up and felt some kind of mask slip shut over her mouth to protect it as she glared at the Decepticons, she never actually wanted to come-she just wanted to make that clear to herself.   

"Deliver Megatron to us and I will allow you to live." Dreadwing proposed.

"Never trust a con kick Buckethead's bucket!" Bulkhead said aiming his blaster at Dreadwing.

Optimus looked at Megatron who smirked before looking back to Dreadwing. "Dreadwing, do I have your word?"

At first, Dreadwing didn't move but then, he put his gun behind his back. Optimus disengaged his blasters while Bee and Bulkhead approached him as Megatron attempted to stand but couldn't.

"My liege." Dreadwing helped support him.

"Dreadwing may have given him his word, but I did not." Megatron stood to his full height. "Destroy them!" 

  Megatron transformed and Dreadwing followed as the Vehicons opened fire. Nova created a shield then began firing back, the others doing the same just without the shield. They kept firing but they were slowly loosing. She hissed when something seared her arm, a shot had grazed her. That was the last straw, "That's it!! Guys, get next to the wall!"  

"Are you crazy?!" Bee shouted.

She shouted back at him, "JUST DO IT!"

"Do as she says and get against the wall." Optimus ordered.

They got against the wall and Nova stood in front of them before sending out a subsonic blast which threw all the Vehicons against the wall and/or crushing them. She sighed and took in a breath, though that was more of a human reaction/instinct than anything else, "Woah....I have not done anything that big...ever."

Bulkhead looked around, "That was intense."

  "You can say that again." Nova agreed. Optimus walked towards her and questioned, "Nova, that attack...."

She turned to him, "Oh that? Actually, I sort of discovered it recently and practiced it. It was before when I used that subsonic blast on the battle with Unicron's clones."

The three Autobots were stunned not becoz of her attack but her abilities are started to get stronger. Bumblebee awe faded before looking around and said, "Where's Arcee?"

Optimus opened a channel, "Arcee, what is your status?"

Nova heard her voice in her head, and it was weird, "In need of assist, but alive. And so is Airachnid."

Bulkhead joked, "At least Megatron took care of the other bug problem."

Nova stared back at the fallen Insecticon and wonder herself. 'Hmm...I'm not so sure about this.'

Back in the Base

As they walked through the groundbridge, they saw the kids gathered on the platform. Ratchet walked over, "What happened?"

"Starscream set us up." Bulkhead said before explaining the rest.

Nova went over to the platform and looked over to see Campy floating towards her. As it nestled on her chest, snuggling to her happily. Nova chuckled at his cuteness and petted on his helm. "Hi Campy It's good to see you too." She said retracted her mask, revealing smile on her face.

Nova nearly jumped through the roof when Ratchet shouted, "Nova!"

"What?!" She said, looking annoyed.

  "You didn't tell me you were wounded, get over here now!"  

  She gave a dumb look then looked at her arm, "Oh this.....There's nothing to worry about. It's just a scratch."

  "A scratch? A SCRATCH?! That's all you can say!" Ratchet sighed and began inspecting it.  

Nova moved her arm away and said, "Ratchet It's alright I can heal myself remember."

Ratchet was about to say something before he was cut off when the scratch on her arm began to glow as it heal itself before the glow dim out, much to everyone's surprise. Nova's arm was perfectly healed and no scratch as if it was no longer there. 

"See?" Nova said, proving her point by raising her arm. "Also, It really isn't that bad, just stung a bit for the first few second, just like any burn."

"And how often have you burnt yourself?" Ratchet asked accusingly.

Nova frowned, "Believe me, I've had worst back in the days. Beside, How often does a human forget that pans, or even water can get hot? It just slips the mind sometimes until, well you touch it."

Jack nodded, "It happens a lot, even for us."

Miko thought for a second before turning to Bulkhead and Optimus, "Nova got to go fight but I'm always being yelled at to stay in the base!? There is something wrong with this!"

Nova groaned, rolling her eyes, "I would much have rather stayed here."

"I think it was a good thing you went," Bulkhead disagreed, "I'm not sure we would have been able to beat all those Vehicons without your abilities."

Optimus nodded, "They have proven to be a valuable asset." Nova smiled at that, she was glad she was able to help out with the Autobots. She hoped that she'll aid them in ending a war someday.

(A/N I know it was a bit short but at least Nova get to experience to be out on a mission with the Autobots.)
