Blast to the Past

(A/N Sorry I haven't update it for so long, becoz it took me long to think of a new ideas which I'm fresh out of it. So, I went outside just to relax until an inspiration might come to you. Anyway, this is chapter talks about Nova where she was sent to the past and maybe discover her origin, so ENJOY.)

The sounds of swords clanging and guns ablazing was heard throughout the entire battlefield. The Autobots and Decepticons were fighting over a relic that had been hidden in the Earth for a long time. Megatron had lead his vehicons to try and unearth the relic, but Optimus and his bots had came to stop him. The relic, which was a small black box with blue markings. Nova was in her robot mode trying to stay stealthy so that no one would notice her as she tried to get to the relic while the others are busy distracting the Decepticons.

"It's over Optimus, the Decepticons will rule this world and Cybertron." Megatron bragged, his blade against Optimus' blade. "And this relic is the key to total domination."

"You are a fool Megatron to believe that we will let you win." Optimus said, pushing him backwards.

Bumblebee and Bulkhead engaged Dreadwing and the vehicons respectively. The yellow scout beeped loudly as one of the vehicons nearly shot him.

"Man, either the Decepticons have gotten tougher, or we are really losing!" Bulkhead said, lunging out of the way of Dreadwing's sword. "Could use a little help here!"

"Kinda busy with my own task at the minute!" Arcee yelled back, shooting at the vehicons.

"What is this relic we're fighting for anyways?" Bulkhead questioned.

"Guys, Less talking, more fighting!" Nova called from the comm. She had to move fast as she was about to reached the cube when a blast shot in front of her. NOva turned to the 3 vehicons who seem to notice her. She shielded herself from the shots before equipping her blades and skates.

Soon lasers are flying towards her and she swing her around blocking each lasers with her heighten reflexes as well as dodging them. Then she crouch slightly and went at lightning speed. This time, electric sparks cover her body and she went faster than she have ever done before.

She zigzag and leap around them, all the while slashing them with her armblade. By the time she was back at the center, the 3 vehicons were still for a while. Then, one by one, their limbs start detaching from their body and they all crumble to the ground. If she ever have to guess, she think it took around less than ten seconds. She move on and continue to use the lightning speed boost. Although, she was amazed that she was super fast.

Vaguely, Nova take notice that her senses are also working at high speeds and that they have faster reactions. Her brain throbs just a little at the information overload that her eyes and other senses are receiving. She is not just seeing in front of her, She took notice of all around her using her eyes, ears, nose and the vibrations under her feet. It's almost like she had 360 view of what's happening around her. She run towards Bumblebee and defeated the vehicons that were behind him and then move on to Arcee and then finally  back to where the relic.

Nova took turns to defeat vehicons as they are too slow to catch up to her. Then she stop as her speed boost comes to an end. She was huffing as she stood in front of the vehicons.

"Now that was a warm-up." She stated dryly as she regulate her breathing. She saw 3-4 vehicons coming towards her. Nova unequipped her armblade and skates as she put her hands in front of her and gather up as much as electricity in them. Soon a sphere of plasma form between her hands. She released the pressure and released a bunch of light bolts at the vehicons. However, her lightning bolt was shot in different directions, it almost shot at the autobots which they managed to evade. Little she know, she didn't notice that one of her lightning bolt sparked at the relic which it became active.

Megatron and Optimus notice the lightning bolt heading their way as both moved away from each other from being strike. Bulkhead turned to Nova, "Woah Easy with the lightning bolt."

Nova said shamefully, " Eh hehe Whoops, My bad." as she carefully blasted lightning at the enemies. Megatron was impressed of Nova's ability as he turned to Optimus and said, "I see your technorganic has improve better than the last time.......Nova, is it?"

Optimus gave a scowled glare when he mentioned her name. "Perhaps she would make a fine warrior to my cause, wouldn't you agree?" Megatron taunted. Optimus lunged at him before delivering a blow at the Decepticon warlord. Megatron roared in fury and the Autobots and Decepticons opened fire on one another.

Through all the fighting, no one noticed that the relic was glowing brightly as the cube floated in front of them all, rays of light shining from the core. Unfortunately, A stray shot from the Autobot's side hit the cube and it began to overload.  Knockout comm Megatron, "Lord Megatron, I detected an unstable energy from the relic, I think it's going to overload."

Dreadwing saw the relic sparking as he turned to his master, "My liege, we must retreat before it goes critical!" Megatron growled but nodded, "Decepticons, retreat!" He looked at the relic that they were suppose to obtain was about to explode. Cursing under his breath as he took off to the sky.

Nova then ran in a dead sprint to the Autobots, but the ensuing shoot out slowed her dramatically as she had to avoid getting shot at or hit with falling ruble. She was about halfway to the Autobots when an Earth shattering explosion filled the air. All the Autobots and Nova looked to see what it was, it was the relic imploding from the shot that had hit it. Nova's eyes widened as she continued running, her heart threatening to beat out of her chest.

Optimus saw the coming explosion, "Nova!" He shouted, the fear emanate in his voice. Before she could answer the wave caught her, a terrified yet hopeful look in her eyes. The wave stopped inches after it had caught her, blinding them with a powerful light. As the smoke cleared away, the Autobots walked forward searching for her missing teammate but finding absolutely nothing, all that was left behind was a shattered cube pieces.

"Ratchet, your immediate assistance is requested." Optimus commed. More like ordered but he decided to go with the kinder of the two words. Maybe he can figure out if she really is gone...

Back to Nova, somewhere far away

Nova shook her head as she stood. The wave hitting her hadn't knocked her out due to her armor, much to her relief, but it had thrown her several yards and now her entire body ached. She wouldn't be surprised if she had some broken ribs by the way they hurt or a slight concussion. She stood and a small gasp of pain left her mouth as she grabbed her ribs, they hurt

"I guess this might take time to heal." Nova mumbled.

After she stabilized herself she looked around, it was pretty open, blank for as far as the eye could see. She was confused when she felt the massive amounts of energy coursing around her but didn't but couldn't think about it too hard, the pain clouding her mind. She turned to look behind her and saw a city, though for some reason it didn't have the usual city sounds, it was relatively quiet.

Taking a labored breath she started walking towards the city, she needed to keep her guard up and to get out of the open in case the Decepticons might ambush her. She noticed as she walked that the ground was covered in metal, everything was metal. She halted her tracks as she observed her surrounding. 'That's strange.....where have I seen this place before?'

She tried to recall when a thought suddenly entered her mind, 'Could this be Cybertron? Looks enough like it...... But where am I? It certainly doesn't look like what I saw in my dream, and there sure is a lot of pain! So scratch that one. Is it possible I was sent back in Earth's time? Could this be a really old city? No way.....This is crazy.'

She laughed inwardly at her thoughts as it was too painful to laugh outwardly. She neared the city when a lone figure started coming into view. She was still a good mile out so he must have been very tall, though she couldn't make out any features, and she hoped that whoever it was didn't see her. She wanted answers yes, but she would rather get them in a more populated place where she hopefully wouldn't be hurt by anyone intentionally or at least lower the risk.

She began walking in a wide berth around the figure. After ten minutes she was nearly at the city until....

"Hey, YOU."

Nova turned to see two giant robots which were drawing closer to her, they had seen her, and now that they were closer she could tell that she was being spotted. "SCrap." Nova mumbled as she equipped her skates and escaped from them. She is no condition to fight, not with her injury.

She quickened her skates into a light trot, which brought unthinkable amounts of pain to her ribs but after a minute her mind just began to shut out the pain, leaving the area unanswered to the pain receptors.

As she began running she heard heavy footfalls increasing behind her, if she hadn't been terrified before she most certainly was now. Entering the city she made a quick turn around the corner but because she wasn't able to go any faster than a light trot the 2 bots caught her easily. "You can't get away, Minicon." one of them said.

Nova gritted her teeth as she used Light Manipulation to blind them. They shielded their eyes as Nova slipped past between them. As she was far away from them, she cringed in pain, clutching her ribs.

"I need to find a place to hide." Nova said herself. As she looked around, she notice a building in front of her. She thought maybe she might find a place to hide there. She stretched her wings and fly towards the building structure. She landed on the entrance as she head inside the hallway and was about to explore when she heard a heavy footsteps coming in front of her. Nova quickly used her power to make her invisible as tried to blend behind the structure. The Cybertronian walked past her as she took a little peek then she began to notice his appearance. He seems to look like an elder, judging by his face. His chin was almost like he had beard. It felt strange for and for some reason she seems to know him somewhere, but where?

Nova then heard a heavy footsteps as she saw two bots that she saw earlier, went in front of the elder Cybertronian. "Is there something wrong?" He questioned.

"Forgive us, but we saw a minicon who just come this way and we just to happen to ask if you seen anyone come here?"

The elder thought about it as he looked over his shoulder when Nova cowered behind her hiding spot, trying not to notice. The elder turned to them, "I'm afraid I do not see anyone come this way."

"I see....we better keep searching, you never know that intruder might be capable of. For all we know, it might be a Decepticon infiltrator." "

"You should be careful, Sir. With the war going on, who knows they might strike here."

Nova blinked. 'War? Cybertron was at war. But that's how they looked in... the past. This is the time where Megatron caused the war. Am I really on Cybertron?'

The elder nodded, "I understand." The 2 bots nodded and left the entrance, Nova stepped out of her hiding spot while clutching her ribs and stood behind the elder Cybertronian. "If only Megatron hadn't caused the war in the first place, Cybertron would have been a peaceful place." Nova whispered sadly, lowering her head.

"Perhaps....but we cannot undo the past for what has been done."

"I guess...huh." Nova stopped when she looked up and was startled that the Cybertronian was looking at her, over his shoulder. Even though she was invisible, yet he was staring right at her. Nova began to questioned herself, 'Can he see me?'

"There is no need to hide yourself, I know you are there. You may have decieved the guards but you cannot deceive my eyes." He spoke. Nova took a step backwards until her body became visible again. He turned to her, "So you must be the intruder the guard spoke of?"

Nova took a step back before making a light sprint away from the Cybertronian.

"Wait! Stop! I don't want to hurt you."

Nova kept running  when she turned to another corner and found it to be a dead end, turning quickly she saw her chaser coming close. "No! Stay back!" She croaked, shooting lightning bolt which was barely missed. She winced as it brought a quick wave of pain from her ribs while her hand was sparking in defense.

The Cybertronian saw what she just did as he stopped and backed up a few steps, holding up his hands in a show of surrender, "Please, I don't want to hurt you. I saw the energy flux out in the sea and I was curious." Looking more closely at her his optics widened, "You're hurt! Let me help."

Nova didn't know who the heck this was, though he does look oddly familiar but her mind was in such a daze from everything she really couldn't think right. So unless your Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Arcee, or Bulkhead, she wasn't trusting Cybertronians. She took another step back and hit the wall, she grunted as the adrenaline began to wear off. She couldn't form any words to answer but shook her head, her eyes showing distrust towards him and still had her hand sparking, pointed at him.

His lips curled into a slight frown, more one of sorrow than anything else, "I'm not going to hurt you, please? Trust me."

'Trust me.'  The moment she heard that word, it reminded her of Dr. Login who had a sorrow look when she tried to help her from her past.

Something in her told her to trust him as her hand stopped sparking and lowered it down. A new wave of pain rolled from her ribs and she gasped, one hand holding her ribs while another held her head as she began to see black spots. She felt light headed and collapsed to her knees before the spots became absolute and she passed out. He saw that she passed out and was about to go to her when he notice her body was surrounded of light before she was transformed back into her organic mode.

The Cybertronian ran forward and picked her up kindly. "Fascinating", he said quietly, "Absolutely fascinating. Just what are you?"

As his wise optics scanned her until he nearly gasped by the sheer extent of her injuries before running back to the place he basically called home. The Iacon Hall of records.

He had tended to the girl's injuries and waited to see how long it would beuntil she awoke, he only had to wait an hour. A soft groan snapped his helm around as he sawthe girl slowly got up in a sitting position while rubbing her head from her diziness. He was relief to see her well as he asked,"How are you?"

She jumped and nearly screamed when she saw a Cybertronian, "Wha..?"

"You passed out, probably from the injuries you sustained. I have patched you up but as I'm no medic they are probably not the best, but you will survive."

She looked at him questioningly before noticing the bandages on her waist, "T-thanks." She whispered. She touched her ribs as she cringed in pain, that would mean she didn't heal herself yet.

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you get them?"

Her lips drew taunt, "Mh...who are you?"

He smiled, he could understand her wariness, "I am Alpha Trion, may I ask who you are?"

'Alpha trion? Where have I heard that name before.' Then realization hit her when she recalled that time she had with Primus and the other 13th Primes. Among them was Alpha Trion, she couldn't believe one of the Primes happens to be in front of her. Including the fact that...she really was on Cybertron, "N-Nova. I'm on Cybertron?" She barely breathed to ask.

He nodded, "Yes, though why you chose to come now I do not understand."

"I really didn't come by choice..." Then she began to notice she was in her human form and a question came to her. "Wait....I'm in my human mode, how am I breathing?"

Alpha Trion laughed a bit, "I assume you take air into what you call lungs."

"I know that," She deadpanned, "But how am I not dead? I thought Cybertron's atmosphere was toxic to, well, my half kind?"

"If the bio-dome went down then yes it would be."

"The bio-what?" She asked confused.

"The bio-dome. It is an ancient devise that makes the atmosphere breathable to offworlders, it will only go down once the planet dies, which I fear will be soon." He had a faraway look in his optics.

"Oh, I guess that makes sense." She nodded.

Alpha Trion stood and walked over to grab something before returning to Nova and handing her a bowl, she looked at it curiously, "It is the nutrients organics require to survive, I cannot guaranty its taste as it hasn't been used in years but..."

She smiled and nodded gratefully, it wasn't terrible but she didn't want to have it forever, "So...if Cybertron isn't dead yet, I must...ok wow. Huge backfire." She mused out loud.

Alpha Trion chuckled, while not understanding what all she said he has often done it too, "Do you want to take a walk? Your wounds shouldn't affect it, probably better to keep moving anyway."

Nova nodded and smiled, she got to admit but Alpha Trion was a much better doctor already than Ratchet. Nova stood up as she clutched her fists together, her armor matrialized, changing into her robot mode. Nova spoke, "I though maybe If I stay in this form, in case I don't want to attract any wanted attention." For a moment he studied her, transfixed by the metamorphosis.

"Amazing, to think we consider technorganic as a myth but who would have thought I get to encounter one." Alpha Trion said.

Nova shrugged and said, "Well, what can I say? I'm one of a kind."

They walked through a small section of the city before they arrived at the sea again. Nova looked at it, just gazing into the distance where you couldn't tell whether the ground stopped or the sky started, "It's lovely."

Alpha Trion sighed, "You should have seen it in the Golden Age."

"Maybe it'll come again one day." She offered.

He looked down at her and smiled, "Maybe, it would be nice, though I doubt I will live to see it." He looked at her again, her face was expressionless, an almost mirror image of Optimus, but her eyes were what gave away the grief, "What happened?"

"Hm?" She looked up at him.

"What happened to cause your injuries, to bring you here with a strange energy flux, to make you terrified of any unknown Cybertronian?"

"Oh, well, it's kind of complicated." She tried to evade it.

"I have time." Alpha Trion said as they began walking again.

She was hesitant, what should she tell him? After a little bit of debate she decided to just tell him the truth, "I guess I should start with who I am..."

"That is usually the best place to begin."

She sent him a halfhearted glare before giving a brief explanation of who she was and what she could do except she left the part of being the herald, "...That's how it happened. I thought that blast would have took me instead it transport me back in time. I think I went a bit farther back than intended...and to a completely different planet."

Alpha Trion nodded, giving himself time to process the new information, "That would explain the strange energy flux. Not only that, you absorbed a human DNA which created you, how interesting."

"And the reason I was terrified of you. When it comes to Decepticon, I get too cautious." She chuckled shaking her helm, "Sorry about that."

"No need Crystal."

She stopped, "What did you call me?"

"Crystal."

"Ok....Why?" She asked, thoroughly confused.

He smiled again, "Because it is easy to see who you truly are inside, even if you try to hide it under a façade. Like a clouded crystal, you can still see through even if it is harder."

Nova knitted up her brows, "Um, thanks I guess." Smiling and letting a small laugh slip through, "I guess going to the past wasn't so bad...but how do I get back?"

"Let me worry about that." Alpa Trion said as they walked back to the hall, "For now I think you should just rest again. Ratchet would probably have my helm if he saw someone like you walking around with your injuries."

"Probably would, especially in my time." He looked at her quizzically, " I tend to get hurt...a lot. Not to worry, I healed quickly." A-3 nodded with a smile.

A-3 and Nova were about to go back when she heard footsteps behind them. Both of them turned to see a young bot coming towards them, although he is a lot like Bumblebee but different.

"Ah Smokescreen, I was wondering where you had gone." He said. Nova blinked when he knew the young bot. "Sorry A-3, I had to run an errand real quick, do you still need something?" The young rookie asked.

"No, not at the moment. Any news on the war?"

Smokescreen shook his helm, "Only that it's getting closer to Iacon every cycle."

Alpha Trion sighed, "I fear they will reach us by the end of this or the next solar cycle."

Smokescreen lowered his head when he notice a minicon beside Alpha Trion. She just stood there, staring at him. Alpha Trion seem to noticed as he assured, "Do not be alarmed, Smokescreen. She is just an assistant who will be staying here for awhile."

Nova stared at the old archivist then at the young rookie as she waved her hand and greeted, "uh Hi?"

Smokescreen kneel down to look at her curiously, he had seen minicons but this female minicon is different. He had never seen a minicon with strange appearance and wings. "I didn't know you'll be needing an assistant from outside. For someone that small to assist you." He stated.

Nova retorted sarcastically at his statement, placing both her hands on her hip, "ha ha ha Very Funny."

He smile at her annoyed retortion as he stood up before turning to Alpha Trion, "Have you launched all the relics yet?"

"Not quite all, there are still two left."

"I'd hurry up and launch them then." Smokescreen commented, his face showing a level of worry.

"Yes, I had." Alpha Trion nodded to Smokescreen and left. 'But I have run out of pods and a safe means of getting them off world. Unless....'

After Nova fell back asleep in her human mode, he walked out of the room. Walking for some time before reaching a room nearly forgotten in time. He entered it and grabbed a key, looking at intensely for a moment before putting it in his subspace and leaving the room again.

Nova finished the bowl of nutrition soup and stood up. Four days had passed and she was completely healed, the ribs were no longer broken. She removed her bandage and smiled as A-3 entered the room, "Hey."

"Hello." He used his optics to scan her condition. "I'm amazed your body healed quickly. Although, It was unusual to see you recover so fast."

He helped her down from the table and they started their morning walk through the hall. They reached the observation room and Nova looked out over Iacon. Alpha Trion observed the way she had acted and reacted the past few days, as he was doing now. She was always seemed curious yet always seemed to know something. She would look out across the Sea of Rust sometimes, a knowing and questioning look in her eyes, but never said anything about it. Later, he was heading back to the room when he heard a beautiful melody unlike he ever heard. AS he entered, he found her currently sitting at the window while singing a melody. Nova stopped when she turned to see Alpha Trion at the doorway.

"OH hey, A-3." Nova greeted.

He nodded as he questioned, "The melody.....did you sing that?"

Nova's eyes widened that she didn't realize she was singing loudly. "Oh you've heard it? SOrry about that, I didn't mean to be loud."

"No not at all. It's just...your melody sound peaceful."

"Um....thanks. This is just a lullaby that was once sang to me by someone I know. She was wise, kind and gentle, y'know kinda lot like you."

"Really?" He said intrigued. Nova nodded with a smile before her expression was changed to sadness. "Unfortunately, she was gone when I couldn't save her."

Alpha Trion was disheartened to hear that as he said apologetically, "I see.....I'm sorry for your loss."

"It's alright, she may be gone but I will never forget the memories we share. This lullaby is the only thing that soothe me."

Nova looked out the window with sad look on her face. ALpha Trion felt sorry for the technorganic, he understand how she feels when he watched his home planet fall to a ruin and his people weren't able to protect it. He stood in front of the window before he asked, "Can you sing the song again?"

Nova turned to him with a surprise look as he added, "I too would wish to hear it." She stared at him in the optics, she doesn't know why he wanted to but something tells her that she should oblige. Nova nodded in understanding as she looked out the window before taking deep breath and closed her eyes as she began to sing the lullaby. (Play the music)

ALpha Trion was entranced by the song she sang, even he could not decipher the meaning. HOwever, he felt the calmness washed away and was replaced with a peaceful feeling. It made him recall the time where Cybertron was at peace where everything was beautiful and his people live in harmony. That scenery was something he would never forget the day before the war began. As she song ended, Nova opened her eyes as she turned to see Alpha Trion with a sad smile look on his face. Nova tilted her head and said worriedly, "Are you alright, A-3?"

Alpha Trion notice her distress and assured, "Yes, I'm alright. I'm just recalling the Golden Times where Cybertron was at peace."

"Oh I see."

"Also, you were right, the song does help soothe you, just as it soothe me. Thank you, Crystal." He said with a smile.

She smiled in return before looking out the window, "A-3? Isn't that Optimus?" She asked, pointing to a large Cybertronian hurrying to the hall.

"I believe it is, wait here." He instructed before leaving.

She nodded but looked out again, looking Optimus straight in the optic. They looked at each other for a moment before he hurried inside. Nova hold her arms to keep the floodgate of emotions from breaking open.

Optimus ran inside to find Alpha Trion already waiting for him, typical, "Hello Alfa Trion."

"Optimus, what brings you here?" Worry lacing A-3's voice.

Optimus sighed, "The Decepticons, I'm afraid we will not be able to keep them back for much longer. We're already loosing too much ground. They're pushing to take Iacon harder and harder every cycle. As you know I was planning to leave to soon as Megatron was also planning to take his leave from Cybertron but..."

"Optimus, you are letting Orion take control. I will be fine, I haven't much left in me anyway. You are needed elsewhere, so go. This planet will not last for much longer with the war before Primus falls into a deep recharge that could last for eons or longer." Optimus, or Orion, wanted to object but A-3 spoke before he could, "We all have parts to play in this war, mine is nearly finished while yours is just beginning. Go Optimus."

Optimus laid his servo on his old friend and mentor, "Till all are one."

"Yes." A-3 nodded watching him go for the last time, "Till all are one." He whispered. He pulled the key out of his subspace, this needed to be done. He made his way back up to the observatory and found Nova in the same place he left her.

"Is everything ok?" She asked.

"Everything's fine," His cooling fans activated for a moment making it sound like he sighed, "Crystal, I'm afraid I must ask you to do something for me, for Cybertron."

She looked at him funny but nodded, "Alright, uh, what is it?"

"Do you know about the Omega Lock?"

She shook her head, "I haven't hear the 'bots say anything about a lock...uh, what's it for?"

"I see.....It is a device that can revive Cybertron but...it requires several keys to activate," He explained, much to NOva's shock. "However, I have been unable to get them all off-world. I must ask you to guard one. If I am able to send you back to your time, which I believe I can..."

"....Then there would be several years in which the key is practically nonexistent but will there for the 'bots when the time comes." She finished, a look of understanding in her face.

"Yes, but...it is also something more." She held a curious look, "I cannot explain much, but if you accept I cannot guarantee you will ever be the same again."

Nova looked at him for a second and thought before nodding, "I-I accept, I don't know how much different I can get anyway."

Alpha Trion nodded and smiled, holding out the key as it shifted and transformed into a key about the size of her palm, she stared at it shock, I will never understand how that can get so stinkin' tiny. She took it and felt a warmth travel through her body. She looked at it for a moment before placing it in her pocket, "A-3? How many keys are there anyway?"

"Five." He answered turning around.

"O-Ok Uh, Alpha Trion, what does this key do exactly anyway?"

"It is many things. In reality it is not an Omega Key, Smokescreen dubbed it the Alpha Trion Key, but an experiment of the ancients. Among what they designed it for it unlocks anything that has a lock and for the Omega Lock it is what will guide the energy that is to bring back Cybertron." He stopped suddenly, "Crystal, I believe it best if you do not mention anything about the key or the Omega Lock to the Autobots, Optimus included."

Nova looked pained but nodded seeing the wisdom behind it, "Yeah, I can do that." It's not like I'm not telling them everything I know, "Um, but how will I know when to let them have it when the time comes to actually use the lock?"

He smiled, "You will know Crystal."

"Ok..." She took a deep breath to help calm her mind, "You said you think you can send me home?"

"Yes, I found the relic I believe the Decepticons used, although it was untested and was never used it. Since you are in the past, I can use it to send you back to your time. I assume it was destroyed in the accident?"

She nodded, "I assume so, I hope so, I really don't see how such a devise could have survived that."

A thunderous boom was heard outside before the floor shook for a moment. They steadied themselves as Smokescreen came running through before Nova switched to robot mode, "Alpha Trion! The Decepticons have attacked the hall!"

His optics went wide, "Go and do what you were assigned to do, I have something to attend to quickly before the Decepticons break it." Smokescreen saluted and ran off, "Crystal come with me quickly! We must send you back before it is too late."

They took off running through the halls into the lowest parts of the hall. And there it sat, the relic that Nova recognized when she saw the markings. Alpha Trion adjusted the the time cube, typing the time coordinates. As she stood there, Nova felt a familiar feeling as she turned around, only to find a pod. Nova tilted her with curiosity at the pod but something about it felt familiar to her as she walked towards to the pod and stood in front of it.

'This pod...? !' Nova thought, tracing her hand on the pod. As she took closer look at the front glass which surprised her that inside it looked like a liquid metal robot body. Nova staggered back when a realization hit her. 'It can't be....this pod? Is that me?'

Alpha Trion manage to set it before noticing Nova standing in front of the pod. He said, "I see you have taken notice of the protoform." Nova turned to him with surprised as he continued, "Many have tried to secure the protoforms, sadly the Decepticons taken everything. All but one."

Both of them stared back at the pod where the protoform is. "They manage to save only one and I was about to send this to Earth." He explained.

"But why would you send this to Earth?" Nova questioned.

"It was not my intention....it was the will of Vector Sigma that told me to send this pod to Earth."

'VECTOR SIGMA!!'

"I'm not sure why......but I believe Primus might have plan for this one and maybe it might be the key to survival."

Nova was shocked about his statement as she turned to the pod. All this time, she's been questioning herself how she came to be and the answers were right in front of her. 'So this is protoform? This is where I came from? It wasn't a coincidence at all, I knew there was a reason I was brought here.'

Another thunderous boom was heard, which rumble the ground. He said, "We must make haste." as he activated the relic. "Good, activation now."

The beam shot out from the relic as it swirled to life. Nova took off running towards it, stopping momentarily to turn around, "What about the pod?"

"Do not worry, I will used this relic to send it to Earth as well so that it would be safe."

Nova stared at him for a second before she said, "Thank you A-3."

"I should say the same."

"Yeah, not only you helped me, you save me the second time."

"Second time?"

"All this time, I questioned how I came to be which turns out it was in front of me the whole time. I'm glad you send me to Earth safely from a long time ago. If you hadn't, then I would have met the Autobots in the first place."

"What do you mean....?" Alpha trion wondered before his optics widened when he recalled Nova explained who she was and how she was born. He couldn't believe the protoform he was about to send was right in front of her. With that, a gentle smile formed in his faceplate.

He said to her, "Perhaps it was fate that brought you here...I would never thought I would meet you face to face. It is a honor to know you for a long time, Take good care of your team and be safe, Crystal."

She nodded, smiling, before spreading her wings and flew through the vortex. It closed moments after she disappeared."Perhaps, She might be the key to our kind's survival." He thought with a smile before turning to the Pod as he teleport it to Earth safely along with the relic he had until it closes Alpha Trion ran out of the room, he still had one more key to deport, "Smokescreen, I'm sorry."

Back in the Present

Optimus whirled his head around when the sound of a ground bridge caught his audio receptors. Sure enough it was there, though slightly different than a ground bridge, "Autobots, keep up your guard." They all stood ready to fight, except Ratchet who took several steps back; Bee with his blasters, Arcee with her blades, Bulkhead with his maces, and Optimus ready to use whatever was most practical.

What they weren't expecting, but were ecstatic to find, was Nova flying out of the vortex, "woah hey hey Is that anyway to greet your lost teammate." Nova said, retracting her mask.

All worry, stress, and anger died then and there as Optimus picked her up, "I swear I'm grounding you to the base until the war is over."

"Poor Miko." She laughed.

"Poor me." Ratchet grumbled.

"You didn't think I died did ya?" She asked

Optimus looked at her, "To be honest we didn't know what happened, you are alright?"

"Never better." She smiled.

Optimus smiled as they walked through a ground bridge Ratchet called up, "You found her!" June yelled from the couch.

Nova was set on the platform as Raf tackled her, nearly every other human there doing the same, "Woah Guys, Take it easy I'm ok, really."

"Dude, you were fighting Decepticons then you get caught in an explosion and disappear for another hour. We thought you were dead! How can you say you are fine!?" Miko shouted.

"Really, Was I really only gone for an hour?"

Everyone nodded, "Exactly an hour from the time of your disappearance." Ratchet informed.

'Huh, Alpha Trion did a pretty good job of getting me back,' Nova turned to the bots, "Can I ask what happened to the machine?"

Arcee answered, "Gone, its explosion left nothing but a smoking crater and some twisted scrap metal everywhere."

"It's defiantly beyond repair." Bulkhead concluded.

Nova shuddered, "Good, as fun as that was it's not something I want to do again."

"What did happen?" Jack asked, everyone agreed coming a bit closer to hear how she survived.

"Uh well," She laughed nervously, "Let's just say....Cybertron sure was nice back in the day."

That got a few crickets chirping, "What?" Bulkhead finally asked.

"See, that explosion really didn't blow everything up it..."

"Sent you back in Cybertron's time." Ratchet finished wide optic.

"Yup, that's about it." Nova said, rubbing the back of her head nervously.

Optimus then became very thoughtful, thinking back through the eons, "That's not possible..." He looked at Nova, "You were the organic I saw at the Iacon Hall of Records the last time I went to see Alfa Trion..."

"Hehe, yeah, that was me. Who would have thought I saw you from the past?"

"Ok big O, what are you saying? That Nova here is thousands of years old?!" Fowler yelled, having been informed about the current situation when the meeting was, interrupted.

"Oh Gee thanks Fowler." Nova huffed.

"Sorry, but I'm not buying it."

"Good, 'cause I maybe a technorganic but I ain't thousands of years old." She frowned at Fowler.

Raf decided to try and clear things up, "Optimus said something about overhearing that the relic was a time devise yeah?"

Optimus nodded, "That is what I heard."

"And it wasn't wrong." Nova agreed.

"So the most likely explanation is, is that when the devise exploded it sent Nova back in time and to a different place; hence the reason why she ended up on Cybertron."

Ok, now I'm jealous." Miko huffed.

"I o'ta strangle you." Nova hissed at Miko before taking a breath to calm down, it all worked out.

"Now might not be the best time Miko." Jack said unsure.

Optimus leaned forward, "If you were at Iacon you must have met Alpha Trion, yes?"

She laughed, "Yeah, I did. Scared me half to death when I first met him too."

Optimus looked confused, "How did Alpha Trion scare you?"

"By being a Cybertronian I didn't recognize. After the events with Megatron and everything I admit I was just terrified."

"That makes more sense." Optimus nodded.

Ratchet began scanning Nova to make sure she was alright, the result shows that she seems fine. It was relieving to know that she did not sustain any serious damage after what happened. "I see there are no signs of damages in your body."

"Alpha Trion, did a pretty good job taking care of me." She answered before turning to Optimus, "So...Am I literally grounded to the base? I mean. It was because I was at the battlefield....."

Optimus shook his head, "You should be fine, speaking of which it is getting very late, you should all go home."

As everyone went home, Nova was glad to be back in her own warm soft bed. Campy was frantic when he heard her owner went missing until he was relieved to see she is safe. She heard someone entered as she came out of the cabin, only to see Optimus in front of her. She stood at the platform and said, "Is there something you need, Optimus?"

"No, I came to see if your feeling alright."

"Oh yeah I'm fine, but there is more than that, is there?"

Optimus optic raised that she knew he has other question he wished to speak. As he expected from his charge as he said, "I do....How long were you gone?"

"Um.....You guys said it was only like an hour." She answered.

"No, not our time, how long were you with Alpha Trion."

"Oh, I think about five days. It's weird I know, I'm now five days older than I actually am." She laughed.

"Did Alpha Trion mention anything? Anything at all about Iacon?"

She shook her head, "Not really. I spent most of the time just trying to get better."

Inwardly Optimus was a bit disappointed, he had hoped that maybe some of the Iacon relics had been sent to Earth, "Alright, thank you."

"Sure, Goodnight Optimus." She ran inside the cabin and leaned against the wall, it felt so good to be home again. She listened to Optimus' leaving and felt the key pulsate a bit against her chest, in time with her heart. She reached out the key from her neck that she used a black string to create a pendant to hang to it and even hide it from the autobots.

'I wonder what A-3 meant by it would change me? What is the experiment?' She shrugged, she would find out in time, she was certain of it. But for now she just had to worry about keeping it safe, and not telling anyone about it, "That's going to be hard with Optimus. HOwever......"

As her body drooped on the bed before placing the key back under her shirt as a sad smile formed on her face. "I'm glad I found out about my origin, too bad this discover has to be kept a secret until I'm ready to tell. I guess it wasn't a coincidence, it was destiny. Huh, Fate really does have plans for me after all."

A yawn managed to escape from her lips, stretching her arms up before relaxing down on the bed and slowly went to sleep.
