Chapter 9

The alarms blared throughout the base and Bulkheasd walked over to the main monitor.

"It's an SOS," the bot spoke in shock. "From Fowler."

He looked at the monitor in confusion, not knowing what buttons he needed to hit.

The alarm stopped and Raf walked towards Bulkhead. "Did you trace it?"

"Location scan incomplete. Oh well," Bulkhead said with a shrug.

"Oh well? Seriously?" Jack scoffed.

"Fowler's a jerk!" Bulkhead defended.

"But Adelaide was with him!" Raf reminded and Bulkhead's eyes went wide. "And they know your location. Our location."

"And did we not just witness how fast Fowler backs down from a bot? Adelaide is a badass, but Fowler? The Con's will totally make him squeal!" Miko added.

"But we lost the transmission. They could be anywhere," Bulkhead panicked as he looked at the three humans.

"Maybe I can narrow it down," Rafael spoke as he pulled out his laptop. "About five years ago, the government started microchipping their agents- you know, like owners do with pets. I saw it on TV. If I can hack into the fed's mainframe, maybe I can pinpoint Fowler's location."

"You know how to hack? But you're like two years old," Miko spoke as she watched the younger boy carefully.

"Twelve," Raf corrected as he pushed up his glasses with a smug smile. "And a quarter."

-

Adelaide struggled in the Vehicon's grip as she tried to wriggle free.

Fowler was thrown down in front of a Cybertronian who stood with his back turned to them, his hands crossed behind his back.

Addie stopped for a moment as she looked at the Decepticon. She had pictured Megatron being bigger, scarier even. That's when it hit her.

"Starscream," she gasped befre she could even think to keep quiet.

"Welcome, Agent Fowler," Starscream spoke smoothly as he turned to look at the two humans. "And you, Agent Parks."

"You treat all your guests this nice?" Fowler mocked as he wiped off his jacket.

"Any friend of the Autobots."

"Autobot? That one of those coin operated wash my own car places?" Fowler smirked up at Starscream.

"Oh, so that's how it's going to be, hmm?" Starscream grimaced. "Apparently, no one has told you I have no appreciation for human humor."

The Decepticon turned away and Adelaide tried to squirm her way out of the grasp of the Con that was holding her.

"Make our guests comfortable," Starscream ordered as he began to walk toward the exit.

"Hey! Get back here!" Addie yelled angrily.

"Adelaide!" Fowler whispered harshly.

Starscream looked back at her. "Hm, you've got spunk."

"Listen up, buddy, you know as well as I do that Optimus is gonna find us. You might as well let us go before you get your shit kicked," Addie announced boldly.

"Adelaide!"

"Fowler, playing dumb isn't gonna get us anywhere," she shot at her superior.

"You should listen to Adelaide, Agent Fowler," Starscream spoke with a chuckle.

Adelaide turned her attention back to Starscream. "That doesn't mean you'll get anything out of us. And let me guess, Megatron was too busy to be here today so he sent use to do the pointless work around here?"

Starscream growled lowly before storming out of the brig.

"Probably not the best idea," Fowler scolded as the two were tied up in chains.

"Probably not, but it felt good. The bots will come for us. I know they will."

-

"Latitude- thirty-nine point five, longitude one hundred sixteen point nine," Rafael read off his laptop.

Bulkhead opened the groundbridge to the coordinates provided. "Okay, wait here."

"Aw! Don't break up the band!" Miko whined as Bulkhead made his way towards the opened bridge.

The wrecker turned around for a moment. "Uh, Jack, you're in charge." He then turned and ran through the swirling vortex.

Jack's shoulders slumped a bit before he took a breath. "Guess we three have the run of the place." He looked at Raf before realizing Miko was no longer standing by the younger boy. "Miko?"

"Uh oh," Raf mumbled as he looked around. "Bulkhead might not even realize she followed him. What should we do?"

"Do you think you could figure out how to open the groundbridge?" Jack asked.

Raf gripped the straps of his backpack. "I can try."

-

"Fowler?"

Bulkhead looked around at his new surroundings. His eyes landed on the giant warship that was in the canyon with drones patroling the perimeter.

"Uh oh," he mumbled to himself. "The whole Decepticon shebang."

Bulkhead ran to hide himself behind a boulder.

"Alright! What's the plan?"

His eyes went wide as he whipped his head towards the female voice. "Miko!"

A vehicon heard the noise and walked ovver, seeing the human girl to which he took aim at the tresspasser.

Miko stared into the barrel of the Con's blaster. "Oh. Unwise."

"Miko! Get down!" Bulkhead cried.

Miko threw herself over the small boulder in front of her, narrowly dodging the explosion of the boulder after the Vehicon shot it.

The second she got to her feet she began running as fast as her legs would take her.

Bulkhead tackled the Decepticon as Miko continued to dash away.

The vehicon faught back, throwig a solid punch that landed on the wreckers face. He attempted to claw at Bulkhead, but the Autobot was quicker.

Bulkhead was able take the Decepticon down to the ground, holding him down as best as he could.

"Hold him still!" Miko cried as she threw a rock at the Con's head.

Bulkhead scooped her up quickly and slid her off the side to get her out of th way. He came to blows with the vehicon once again after it had gotten up.

"Miko, look away!" Bulkhead demanded
and before she could argue, he reinforced his command. "Turn your head away!"

He proceeded to rip the spark straight out of the Vehicon's chassis, all the critical wires and circuits coming out with it.

Miko, having not listened, watched in absolute awe. It was the coolest thing she had ever seen in her life.

Bulkhead looked down at Miko and picked her up quickly, going to a different spot to hide for the moment. "Arcee, Bumblebee, do you read?"

"Loud and clear, Bulkhead."

"I have a situation."

"Bulkhead, they're children, humans. just do whatever."

"Fowler and Adelaide were kidnapped by Cons and Miko followed me to the Decepticon warship," Bulkhead explained as quickly as he could.

"You're where?! She's where?!"

-

"Agent Parks, I have one simple request, since you seem to know so much, and it will save your friend here's family the pain of grieving," Starscream purred as he stalked behind them. "Tell me the location of the Autobot base."

Adelaide scoffed. "On one condition."

"I'm listening."

"You tell Megatron to get off his metal ass and ask me himself."

Starscream grit his teeth. "Megatron is otherwise engaged. I am in charge here."

"Then I don't know the answer to your question," Addie snarled as she glared at the seeker.

Starscream growled under his breath before turning to one of the vehicons. "Bring the prod."

-

"What's taking Arcee and Bumblebee?" Bulkhead grumbled.

"Dude, the Cons could be putting the clamps on Addie and Fowler right now. Let's just storm the joint," Miko suggested as she looked up at her guardian.

Then the sound of a groundbridge vortex opening drew their attention.

"They're here," the wrecker breathed in relief before that relief slipped away as fast as it had come.

Jack and Rafael jumped out of the portal before it closed behind them.

"Why don't those guys hang with their own bots," Miko whined as she crossed her arms. "This is our one on one time."

"Hey! You there!"

The vehicons spotted the two boys from their perch on the warship.

Bulkhead and Miko both uttered, "scrap."

-

"I'll ask nicely once more, before I show you the pain I'll be inflicting on your friend here," Starscream sneered as he waved around the prod in her hand.

"You won't get anything out of us."

"So be it."

Starscream proceeded to shove the prod into her stomach to which she let out a wail of agony.

Fowler watched helplessly as tears began to stream down her face.

"Energon and human nervous systemms don't mix. Now, our dearest Agent Fowler will have to bare that pain."

Adelaide heaved as she tried to focus herself. She had never felt such pain in her life. "Go ahead."

Without hesitation, Starscream allowed Fowler to feel the pain she had just endured.

Addie clenched her eyes shut as she listened to the screams.

-

Bulkhead raced towards the boys before opening his passenger door. "Get in! Now!"

The moment the boys were in his cab, he sped off once more to avoid the incoming fire.

"Thanks, Bulkhead," Jack spoke quickly.

"Yeah, thanks!" Raf chirped.

"What are you doing here?!" Bulkhead asked in a panic.

"We were worried about Miko," Jack replied. "Have you seen her?"

"What's she look like?"

The boys both turned to see Miko chiling in the back seat.

Bulkhead made his way behind a giant boulder and came to a harsh stop, flinging his doors open.

"Everyone out! And this time, please wait here!" The wrecker begged.

Once the boys were out, he dashed off once again, making his way towards the warship. He transformed and scaled the canyon wall until her came to a limb of the ship. He jumped on and pulled himself up.

Once he was on the deck of the warship, he barreled towards the vehicons who continued to fire at him.

He grabbed the nearest thing to him, which happened to be a satellite dish, and threw it at one of the vehicons.

He took a moment to gather his bearings after all the Decepticons were dealt with. He looked down towards the boulder where he had left the children, his eyes widening when he realized he could only see Rafael and Jack.

"Where's Miko?!"

Suddenly, a banging came from his cab space in his chassis. He allowed the area to open and Miko popped out, breathing heavily.

"Miko?!"

"Whoo. I heaved on your floor mats. Sorry," Miko apologized as she climbed into Bulkhead's hand.

He set her on the ground and she just collapsed to her knees.

"Remind me never to do that again."

Before Bulkhead could scold the girl, a hatch opened and two vehicons came up from the inside of the ship.

Bulkhead quickly shot one of them down before picking up one of the already deceased Cons, using its body as a shield so he could get closer to the vehicon still firing at him.

At the last second, he dropped the dead vehicon and tackled the one he was currently fighting. He brought forth his wrecking ball and proceeded to beat the Con until it no longer functioned.

More vehicons came out from the flight deck. Bulkhead made a split second decision, scooping Miko up before running towards the still open hatch. He jumped down, closing the hatch behind them.

As Bulkhead bolted down the hall, Miko tried to hold back her nauseous heaving.

Two vehicons that happened to be patroling the halls came into view as Bulkhead barreled towards them.

He slid Miko between the legs of the vehicons before jumping into an attack.

Miko rubbed her butt, already feeling the brush burn that she no doubt acquired. "I'm gonna heave again.''

With having wasted no time dispatching the Decepticons, Bulkhead scooped the girl off the floor once more and they continued on their way.

Bulkhead turned a corner only to come fce to face with Arcee and Bumblebee.

"Friendly!" Arcee cried quickly.

"Hello!" Bulkhead stepped back in surprise, seeing Jack and Raf with thir their bots.

"Brought the humans, huh?" Arcee spoke with a lopsided grimace.

"You try getting them to stay behind!"

"We need to find Adelaide and Fowler," Arcee said as she lowered his blaster. "And get these kids out of here."

"They're in the brig," Jack and raf spoke simultaneously.
