RiD - Steeljaw x (Cybertronian) Reader {Part 1- Take a Chance or Two}

You were bored out of your helm. The Autobots were quiet, there were no missions, and almost every'Con in Steeljaw's pack was sleeping. Thunderhoof was supposed to be on nighttime duty, but as we can all tell, he kinda passed it on to you.  You were the only one awake at the freakishly early hour.

Speak of Uncrion, and he shall appear, because Thunderhoof walked up to you. You slowly lifted your (f/c) helm towards him, a death glare in your (e/c) optics.

"Oi, wha'cha doin' up so late ya cray cray femme?" Thunderhoof asked. You were left with two options. Pondering on the thought, you sighed. You only online once, so why not make the most of it?

"Well, a certain some'Con decided to be a lazy aft and take a brake from work, dumping in on meh. So, that's what I'm doing." The 'Con looked ticked at your remark, but didn't do anything.

"Jus' walkin' 'round. 'Cided to come on down an' take back th' job," he responded.

"Oh thank Primus!" You cried, standing up from the desk chair. A 'ping' erupted from to energon reading scanners. A lone Autobot.

You hissed in annoyance, shaking your (f/c) helm. "Couldn't of given that to me any later, could ya Autobots?" Thunderhoof laughed in the background. Your glare shut him up real fast.

"Go on after it. I'll b' waitin' for results. Good luck ya femme!" The Decepticon called.

You ignored Thunderhoof. Transforming into your alt-mode, you flew off into the distance to find the signal's origin. And who knows, maybe take down an Autobot while at it.

-----------time skip------------

You soared over the mountainous terrain of Earth's surface covered in the native vegetation. The shades of green, blue, brown, and yellow flew past you as you cruised along the air currents of the atmosphere. Wait- yellow?

You did an air doughnut and went towards the spot where you saw the flash of yellow. Lo and behold, it was the Autobots. Well, Autobot.

Their overrated leader, the great and gifted adopted sparkling of Optimus Prime himself, Bumblebee, was out and about in the Earth forests. You would have dropped your jaw had you been in bi-pedal mode.

Bumblebee was alone. A sitting duck, as the humans put it, just waiting for any Decepticon that happened to be passing by to pray on. And there was: you.

Slowly flying towards Earth's nasty and muddy surface, you landed in the bushes some fare distance away from the yellow mech. Quietly transforming, you pulled out your handheld cannons from their clips and began to creep closer and closer, readying to aim, until...

"CATCH HER!" A feminine voice yelled. A trap. A trick. A dirty play. And by the Autobots, none the less. 'Huh,' you thought. 'That's new.' Before you could even fire your plasma cannons at anything, they were knocked out of your servos and you were being pushed to the ground into your knees.

You tilted and turned your helm to try and see what was going on to no avail. All you knew was that you were now a prisoner to the Autobots and most likely wouldn't be seeing any of your fellow pack mates again.

Just the thought alone made you sad. Even though that was half of them were nimrods and the other half were dorks, they were your family. They had taken you in when no one else would. And now you were being dragged away from all of that. It made your energon boil.

You began to thrash around and kick out at whatever was in reach. A feral snarl escaped your mouth as you suddenly did a 90 degree turn to try and throw Strongarm off your back struts.

The blue and white Autobot cadet flew and crashed into a nearby tree with a thump.

"Strongarm!" Yelled Bumblebee. You were about to transform when a sword pierced your vision.

You reeled your helm back just in time to dodge the sword. A blurt of red passed through your vision. 'Sideswipe.'

The red mech spun on a dime and ran right back towards you. You cackled evilly as he ran right passed you. Grimlock burst through the trees at that moment, catching you unawares for a moment.

You quickly regained control of your body and began to fight again. Now free of any restraints, you duck and rolled towards you dropped plasma cannons. Grasping one in each servo, you began to open fire upon the Autobots.

A shot cracked Sideswipe on the helm, and another one brushed Bumblebee's shoulder pads.

"Sideswipe!" Yelled Strongarm. You flipped the cannon in your left servo and swung it backwards, hitting the cadet's forehelm, causing her go out like a light.

'Alright got- Whoah!' You dodged an incoming fist from Bumblebee. 'Got two down for the count, two up, and no minicon in sight.'

The two Autobots that remained standing looked backwards, a smile gracing their faceplates. You turned around a millisecond too slow.

Sideswipe must have come to his senses while you were battling the others. His sword cut into your leg, causing you to cry out in pain.

Now lame, you crumpled to the ground. The fighting took a bigger toll on you than you expected, because you were out cold in mere moments of colliding with Earth's grass.

------at Steeljaw's pack-------

It had been over 2 Earth hours since (Y/n) had left base, and Thunderhoof was beginning to grow worried.

What if something happened to (Y/n)? Or even worse, what if the Autobots had caught them? The worry was beginning to eat away at the Decepticon like Scraplets.

Suddenly, Steeljaw casually strolled  into the room. He looked around the room momentarily before his yellow optics landed on Thunderhoof.

"Thunderhoof, where is
(Y/n)?" Steeljaw's asked.

Thunderhoof would have paled and had a bead of sweat forming in the back of his helm if possible. "She went out after and Autobot signal not to far out from here."

Steeljaw's calmed. "Who went with her?" He inquired.

Thunderhoof's optics widened. He hadn't thought that far in advance! "Who went with her?" He repeated.

"Yes, Thunderhoof," he said exasperatedly, "Who went with her? Must I repeat myself once more?"

"No one," said Thunderhoof.
The previous bit of peace and calmness that Steeljaw's had faded away.

"Scrap!" He yelled. "We need to get out there. Now!" He hissed.

------back to you--------------

You onlined your optics slowly, feeling more groggy than ever before. You looked around at your surroundings. You were in a scrapyard of sorts. And, for the lack of better words, it was absolutely hideous.

Random objects were scattered around the area. Metal sat in unorganized piles lay thrown around the ground. It honestly reminded you of Chop Shop's living quarters back on Cybertron during the good ol' days.

But that was aside from the point. You could faintly hear voices off in the distance. Turning your audio receptors up a few notches, you began to eavesdrop.

"(Y/n)'s a Decepticon!"

"A part of Steeljaw's pack none the less! Bumblebee, please, you have to reconsider!"

"But we need that energon!"

"Guys. Guys. GUYS!"

Silence.

"Alright. Now that everyone's paying attention, I can actually explain the plan!"

"We'll go on, we don't have all day!"

"Jazz, please continue."

"So, as I was saying, we could use (Y/n) as bait. Lure the Decepticons in and take 'em all out at once."

You felt your spark drop. So that's why you weren't put in one of their stasis cells yet. You were going to be used as bait! And did they say JAZZ? Oh, the pack was so offlined. Unless...

You looked down and saw that you were bound by what humans call 'rope.' Activating your arm blades, you cut through the ropes that were meant to hold you.

You were about to transform and fly off. Suddenly, you felt a cramp in your wings. Or rather, wing. One of your seeker wings had been removed! 'These Autobots really wanna go offline, don't they?'

You began to panic. A seeker missing a wing was a seeker out for trouble. With only a single wing, seekers couldn't transform, they weren't as agile, and they become more exposed. And being exposed was one thing you hated with the passion of a million stars.

Creeping over towards a pile of useless scrap, you peeked over the edge and spied on the minicon named Fixit.

He appeared to be doing whatnot and random junk until a voice could be heard.

"Where. Is. (Y/n)," said the voice. 'STEELJAW!' You almost sighed in relief, but caught yourself last-second. 'That was close,' you thought to yourself, still in a mental frenzy.

"Meet us at these coordinates, Steeljaw. Then shall we negotiate," said Jazz. It still shocked you that the Autobots were playing this dirty. And it wasn't like they ran over their humans either. They were acting lien the Decepticons had went to their housing units, dragged their pet turbofox out, ran it over, and posted the video!

You had one chance. One chance to get this right. One chance to fail. One chance to  show everyone what you were made of.

Fixit, out of pure luck from Primus, was called somewhere else by Bumblebee, giving you full access to the controls. You reopened the conversation with Steeljaw's pack. Steeljaw had a ticked look on his faceplates.

"What do you want, Autoscum." You laughed at him. His lower jaw dropped.
"(Y-(Y/n)?" He asked. You nodded your helm.

"Listen here Steeljaw. I've only got myself a minute here at best. Don't go to the meet with the 'Bots! It's a trap!"

"She's gone!" Yelled Strongarm in the background. "She can't be far!"

"Where'd (Y/n) go?" Asked one of the humans, the younger one by the looks of it.

"If she found out the plan, we're sent to the scrapheap for good this time!" Cried out Sideswipe.

You quickly focused back on the screen. "Steeljaw, please. I'm past the point of no return now."

Steeljaw began to panic, which was a sight to behold, for he never panicked much.

"Look, they're not gonna jam me in one of them wrenched stasis cells Steeljaw. They're going to offline me." You could here pedesteps  getting closer.

"Look, an energon mine is right here," you said, holding up a map and pointing to the location. "And their base is somewhere in this region."

The steps were getting louder now, signaling the the 'Bots were getting closer.

"Steeljaw, I want to thank you. You and your pack. For giving me a home, a group to call family, and a shelter above my helm. I want to thank you for taking me in all those vorns ago."

"They're here! (Y/n)'s here!" Yelled Sideswipe, unsheathing his sword.

"Steeljaw, I'm done for. I'm taking this chance for you guys. Get that energon and win this. Please. For me." You gave a quick final smile before closing the conversation.

You turned around and faced the Autobots. All of them were there. Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideswipe, Grimlock, Fixit, and Jazz. Six against one.

Pulling out both of your plasma cannons, you began to open fire on the 'Bots. Sideswipe ran at you, swinging his sword.

"You know," Sideswipe said as he'd effected a hit from your cannons, "you'll be almost as easy to take down as BotWorm over there."

You hissed at him before knocking his sword out of his servos and into a nearby tree. Bumblebee was right up in line.

His closed fist almost made contact with your helm, only managing to dodge it by bending backwards at an unnatural angle.

"What has gotten into you Bumblebee? You guys never fight like this!" You yelled, firing some more cannon shots at him. They all missed.

"We're tired of 'Cons being the only one in this with any tricks! And those tricks ended them forcing Optimus to offline himself!" Bumblebee said, dodging another round.

"Yeah. And look at what happened to the 'Cons. Take a lesson, Bee. Why do you think the 'Bots lasted so long with Optimus? Because he played fair!" You yelled, stepping backwards. You saw an opening. And you ran.

In the distance, you could hear bickering and quarreling. 'Strongarm and Sideswipe.' You gave into curiosity and climbed into a tree near the bickering.

"Come on femme! We gotta get back to the battle!" Sideswipe said, holdin his servos above his helm.

"No way, Sideswipe." Strongarm looked up at you, the two of you making optic contact. "NOW Sideswipe!"

The red mech spun on his heel struts and jumped, stabbing his sword at you. At first you thought he missed until you saw him land without his weapon. Looking down at your chassis, you saw his sword had ran right through your spark.

Sideswipe gave a light laugh.
"You know, (Y/n), curiosity killed the cat."

You smiled ever so faintly. "And satisfaction brought it back." And then everything went dark.

**************************

Steeljaw sat in his berthroom on the floor, looking through some old datapads. He sat them all down, not wanting to sort through them anymore. Ever since the loss of (Y/n), the pack had seemed more and more distant.

Now that they all realized it, they noticed that she was the glue that kept them all together. The one 'Con who put up with everyone's crap.

Steeljaw walked over to a shelf on the far side of his room. His gunmetal blue servo grabbed a datapad that had been overused and was in near time of needing replaced.

Pulling up the video, he felt a few stray year fall down his faceplates. If only he had told (Y/n) his feeling sooner...

Putting the datapad down, he crawled into his berth, not bothering to pause the video currently playing.

"I want to thank you. You and your pack. For giving me a home, a group to call family, and a shelter above my helm. I want to-" The datapad died.

The wolf on curled up into an even smaller ball. Somewhere, in the faint distance, he could hear a voice calling out to him.

"Sometimes," the voice said, getting closer and closer to Steeljaw, "you've gotta take a chance or two in ya life."

Steeljaw shot up, looking around. His gear and bolts took a second to process what just happened.

"(Y/n)?"
