Silence

*Flashback*
"Stand down, Decepticon, and I may let you live!" You dodged another incoming blow from the Autobot
S. I. C. And only to make matters worse for you, you had to dodge the attacks from Ultra Magnus as well as Bumblebee AND steal the relic the yellow glitch was holding!

You hissed in pain when your pede was caught on the edge of the Forge of Solus Prime that the Autobot favored. Putting a digit up to your comm link, you quickly commed Knockout.

"Knockout! Get some vehicons up and over here! S. I. C. is beating my aft over here! And goldbug is here too!" Knockouts faint shouts could be heard in the background.

"On it, (Y/n)! Locking into your coordinates!" The shiny cherry red mech commed back.

You fired another shot at the Scout, who fell to the ground. Dashing over to the fallen Autobot, you snatched the relic.

"I should say goodnight to you right now, Autobot. But," you sneered, dangling the relic in front of the 'Bot's faceplates, "I think this will make us even enough. For now, at least."

A hammer came in full force at your faceplates, hitting you harshly. An echo of metal to metal rang throughout the forest air. You shrieked in pain, clutching your faceplates. Grabbing the relic, you stumbled away, trying to find the groundbridge.

"KNOCKOUT! BRIDGE NOW! Get the med-bay ready!" You shrieked through the comm link to the medical officer.

You limped through the groundbridge, a servo still clutching your faceplates. Vehicons gasped, quickly trying to cover it up. Soundwave, who was walking towards the main hanger, stopped. Starscream stumbled back into Megatron, and Dreadwing looked shocked. Shockwave was nowhere to be seen.

"Medical bay! Now!" Yelled Breakdown. Energon was beginning to fill your vision, and black spots were everywhere. Your left arm collided into a wall of the Nemisis.

You were laid down on a berth, and put into stasis. The last thing you saw was Knockout and Breakdown fumbling for tools and panicking.
*Flashback over*

1 month later

As it turned out, the hammer malformed your faceplates, leaving the entire right side of your faceplates caved in and covered in weld marks. The right optic was damaged, so instead of being the normal (e/c), it was white. A pale, ghostly white that bared into every soul. The optic that saw everything and could see straight through the lies. Even more, you were mute. Knockout and Breakdown couldn't save your voice box. You were completely mute; you couldn't even talk in Cybertronian like the wrenched goldbug could! A plus though was that you and Soundwave had gotten closer. A lot closer.

So now, you were working in the lab with Shockwave. Even though he never said it, as it would be 'illogical' to do so, you could tell he was unnerved by your face, and slightly freaked of it. He gave you work and sent you to the back rooms of the lab, never made optic-contact, and avoided you at ALL costs. To say that you hated that Autobot S. I. C. would be an understatement by a kilometer and a half.

You dropped the data pads off on Shockwave's office desk before deciding to turn in for the night. On the way back to your berth room, Megatron made a last-second switch on plans, so you were off on a mission to take over an energon mine from the Autobots. You gladly went. It was something better to do than recharging or starring at the ceilings. What you didn't expect, though, was for Soundwave to go through the groundbridge with you. You shrugged it off. Megatron probably had an optic on you ever since the incident.

Voices could be heard deep in the mine. "We should just take it all now!" Yelled someone, a mech by the sounds of it.

::We should take some and lure in the 'Cons! Besides, the one that Magnus snuffed dead is gone, so we don't have anyone to worry about.::

"Much. Key word: much," said the other mech.

You looked at Soundwave to see if he knew who it was. A picture of Bumblebee came up, which was followed by one of Smokescreen. You nodded your helm in understanding.

"~Get~energon~" said Soundwave with different voices.

You transformered your servos into blades, both sharp enough to skewer any unfortunate spark in strike range.

Jumping out of you hiding position with Soundwave, you lashed out you blades towards Smokescreen, catching the rookie's pede with one and the other hooking his servo, brining him to the ground in a matter of seconds.

Swiftly snatching a look to your side, you saw that Soundwave had his servos full. Literally. The goldbug was wrapped up in the Decepticon T. I. C.'s appendages. You looked back down to Smokescreen, and saw he was reaching for his comm. The two of you made optic contact, as if silently daring the other to make a move.

He slowly lifted two of his digits to his comm. His voice was shaky as he spoke into the comm link, "H-Hey, Ratchet? Send back up. Like, NOW. Thanks."

A smirk became visible on your faceplates. His jaw dropped down as he realized that he had walked right into the trap. You laughed a silent laugh, one that probably would have made you sound like a maniac.

A bright light caught everyone's attention. And, in all his glory, out stepped the Prime himself and his little second in command. You scoffed.

Dread fell on the newcomers' faceplates as they realized what was happening. The Decepticons had lured Smokescreen into calling for backup to get Ultra Magnus to come. And the plan worked. Ultra Magnus looked actually shocked.

"No...I offlined you! Right in front of my own optics!"

You silently laughed again. Soundwave was slowly suffocating Bumblebee in the background. The unanswered question lingered in the air: Kill Bumblebee or revenge?

Your answer? You picked both.

He charged at you, transforming his one servo into a blaster. You easily dodged his attack, and stabbed your blade through one of his pedes. He hissed in pain. It wasn't as satisfying to hear as a cry of pain, but it was defiantly music to your audio receptors.

You removed the blade from his pede, earning you a similar reaction. Energon guzzled out of the wound.

Raising your other blade into the air, you stabbed it into his extensive shoulder platting.

While everyone else was distracted, Soundwave slipped a tracking device into Bumblebee's neck cables. The perfect way to track the Autobots.

Unbeknownst to you, the Prime himself was powering up his cannons. And they were pointed straight at your spark.

Soundwave dropped the goldbug and rushed to your defense. Just as Optimus was about to shoot at you, Soundwave shot out his extra appendages and zapped Optimus as hard as he could with as much electricity as possible.

Drained from the energy, Soundwave fell limply to the ground. You were about to comm for a groundbridge, but remembered that you couldn't talk. And like frag you were gonna ask one of the Autobots to comm for your escape! So you did the only thing you could think of- you got in a protective stance over Soundwave, daring anyone to come near.

"Hey, guys?" Asked the Autobot rookie. "Not sure if this is the best time to mention this, but shouldn't she have commed for a bridge by now? Or at least back up? So why wouldn't she?"

"Unless," Optimus started, causing a dreadful feeling to rise inside of your systems, "she can't. Ultra Magnus, soldier, I think that your attacked may have...muted her. Permanently."

They all looked at each other, silently agreeing with their leader. Great. Just what you needed- for the Autobots to realize that you couldn't call for help or back up.

Soundwave stirred beneath you, slightly tilting his helm towards the fight. To say he was shocked to see you defending him was an absolute lie. He was absolutely astounded by it.

Soundwave quickly tossed in coordinates for a ground bridge, and soon enough, the groundbridge appeared. The two Decepticons left the site, but not without giving the 'Bots a nasty look.

When the two of you got to the Nemisis, you were about to leave when Soundwave grabbed your servo in his.

"Thank...you," he said in a voice you had not heard before. You nodded your helm in your own way of saying 'your welcome.' He left the room right after it clicked. The reason she hadn't heard that voice before. It was because it wasn't a recording, oh, it was far from a recording. It was his voice. His own, true voice.
