✅[Request] MTMTE - Brainstorm x (Cybertronian) Reader
"C'mon Ratchet! Lemme have them!" You complained. Ratchet, who had been wandering the halls looking for Rodimus, for a reason you didn't care to know nor have explained to you, and bumped into you. Having made it a personal job for yourself, you made sure that the spaceship was in tip-top condition. On top of that, you were everyone's errand runner. And as of now, you were about to drop off Drift's energon doughnuts. That mech becomes scarier than Ratchet on a bad day when he runs out of those apparently delicious sweets.
The mech snatched them.
"Of course not! You know fragging well how I feel about sweets and junk food, human or Cybertronian!" Ratchet said, stalking off with the doughnuts.
You walked over to Drift's office(it was really his room- he liked the quiet), and said specifically, "Drift...there's an issue, per say. Ratchet may or may not have thrown them out?" You had no idea that the said mech could run so fast. Him and those doughnuts, you'll never understand. Sickly sweet, those things are. The only time you'd seen a mech run faster was Rodimus when he's angered Ratchet.
Red Alert popped out from around the corner. "Hey, (Y/n), Brainstorm needs some help in the lab. Perceptor is at a meeting with Rodimus and I am not helping." His optics swerved around, scanning the area as usual. Paranoid still, as always.
You nodded your helm, and strode off to the labs. Oh, if only you had known what you would find there.
Time skip
You finally arrived at the labs, having been sidetracked by Rodimus being chased by Ratchet, whom was throwing wrenches like a madman. Apparently those doughnuts had been forgotten, and rather quickly at that.
You knocked on the wall, seeing as the door was open already. 'Primus!' You thought. 'How in the pits do I act?' In case it's hasn't been pointed out, you have a HUGE crush on the mech. Like, big enough to surprise you when you hadn't blushed when Red Alert said his name. Yeah. It was THAT bad.
"Come in!" A voice yelled from inside. You walked, trying to keep your cool, mentally and physically- you were struggling to not let you cooling fans start. Of course he didn't know about your little crush. And that's how you planned to keep it as well- admire from a distance where it's safe.
Walking in, you turned your optics to the machine that Brainstorm was tinkering on in the far corner of the lab. His optics lit up when he saw you.
"Come over here! I've got to show you something!" You rushed over, getting antsy because of how excited he sounded. If he was excited, then so were you. That's just how it worked.
The energetic mech next to you smiled, or so you thought, couldn't really tell with the mask he wore, and set down the welder in his servos.
"Glad you could make it." He said, turning to the machine before the two of you. "Alright. So, you're probably wondering what this machine here does, right?" You nodded your helm, eager to discover what it did. "So, you know how our energon processor takes a while to process the energon? Well, this sucker right here should, in theory, do the same thing in under a quarter of the time!" You nearly bounced out of your pedes hearing that. If it worked, you wouldn't need to wait a couple hours before you could have the energon anymore!⁰
Brainstorm turned towards you.
"And you're gonna witness the first actual test."
Half an hour later, you were both staring at the machine, watching the liquified energon slowly trickle out of the pipe and into the cube. The last bit of energon dribbled out and into the cube.
"34 minutes!" He shouted. "Three hours and eighteen minutes less than the other machine!" He started bouncing around the lab, accidentally knocking a screwdriver off of the desk. You reached down to grab it, and set it down on the table.
What you did not expect, though, was for mech to crash into you, send the both of you down to the floors of the Lost Light's laboratory.
He had you pinned beneath him, faceplates and face mask only mere inches apart. Both of you were blushing. 'Aww, he's so cute blushing!' you thought. And in your optics, he really was.
Brainstorm lowered his face mask down for just a moment and kissed you.
"Uhhhhh..." You trailed off. He looked like he was smirking beneath the face mask . 'WAIT WHAT? WHY IS H-' you train of thought was cut off when he...KISSED YOU? 'Yep I've gone crazy,' you thought.
A cough could be heard by the entrance. You looked up and saw Perceptor. He slowly back out of the room, mumbling, "I'll just leave you two to it then."
Shoving Brainstorm off of you, you stood up. "Soo..." He trailed off.
"I guess that means you like me too?" You asked.
"Y-yeah." He paused for a second. "Wait- what? Scrap!" But before he could ask what you meant, you were already out of the lab and rushing towards your room to process what just happened. He liked you back?
The feeling of his dermas lingered on your own. Still furiously blushing, you opened the door to you berth room. And, unknown to you, a certain someone, or someones, should I say, saw the entire ordeal.
*sorry if it's not the best! I tried, buts it's been a while since I've read this one!*

Aftermath
You hid in your room, still shaken from what just happened. It had been about a day and a half since the lab incident. Brainstorm, the mech of your dreams, the crush of your life, had just KISSED you. To say that you were shocked was the understatement of your life. And you were as emotional as frag too.
Someone knocked on your door. Was it Brainstorm? Was he angry at you for running away and not saying anything? Was he going to tell you that what happened in the lab was a joke?
You opened your door slowly. To your relief, it wasn't Brainstorm. Though you were kinda sad that it wasn't the mech. Instead, there was Red Alert. He looked slightly concerned, judging by the look on his faceplates.
"Oh, hey Red," you said, acting casual. He looked at you funny for a minute, before continuing.
"(Y/n), there's been an...issue, if that's even saying it right. Brainstorm has been hiding in his berth room, and, this is the problem- not even Perceptor can get in." Your jaw dropped as Red Alert said these things. Not even Perceptor could get to him? He was his best friend! You could very much see why Red Alert was concerned. "This has been going on ever since you left the lab, so we were wondering if you had anything to do with it."
Optics as big as plates, you ran out of the room, nearly knocking Red Alert to the ground in doing so(sorry). Dashing though the halls of the Lost Light, you arrived at the hallway in which Brainstorm resided in.
You found Perceptor knocking on Brainstorm's door. The door never opened once. Relief washed over his faceplates when the scientist saw you.
"I do not know what you did, but you have done something to Brainstorm," the Autobot said.
"Thank you."
Perceptor left you to it at the door.
"Brainstorm?" You ask hesitantly, afraid of hurting the poor mech anymore. The door unlocked, and you were met with a tear-opticed Brainstorm. Wait- WHAT? You had never known Brainstorm for crying. He may have always showed his feelings, but he never cried. You could see why everyone was getting concerned for the Autobot scientist.
"Y-(Y/n)? What are you doing here?" Blue optics met blue optics. You felt a single tear fall from one of yours.
Brainstorm's P.O.V.
(Y/n) let a tear fall. I mentally sighed. Oh, why? Why did I have to kiss her? Why couldn't I have just ignored my feeling just like I have with every other emotion I felt? And why, WHY did it have to be (Y/n)?
I sighed. I guess I was right. (Y/n) would never feel the same way about me that I feel about her.
Again I sighed. "Look," I said, avoiding optic contact, "I'm sorry about what happened in the labs. What I did was stupid and uncalled for. I shouldn't have kissed you."
Your P. O. V.
W-what? Was this really what Brainstorm thought? You looked into his blue optics, pale and dim from crying. Brainstorm turned away and began to reach to close the door.
You had to stop him! 'Or at least tell him how I feel' you thought. So you did the only thing that you could think of- you reached out your arms and hugged him.
"W-w-what?" he stuttered, drawing his servo back away from the door.
"No, it's me who should be saying sorry. I ran off. I caused all of this. I'm s-sorry," you muttered. By the time you were finished talking, you were crying. A small smile wiggled its way onto the scientist's faceplate.
"Alright. Come here, (Y/n)." He pulled closer into his chassis, letting you cry your spark out. You rested your helm in his shoulder plating, still crying.
"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry," the mech who was holding you close kept on repeating. His chassis shook a little bit. You didn't think much of it until you felt something wet drip onto your neck cables. Brainstorm was crying now too.
You pulled away. Using a digit, you wiped the few stray tears forming in his optics away.
"Hey, it's fine, it's fine." You whispered to him.
"But it's not!" He cried out. "How can this be fine? I've hurt you!"
Looking at him with fierce optics, you hugged him again.
"You know he won't except this."
"I know, Brainstorm. But can he really do anything about it?"
He chuckled lightly. "No, I guess he really can't do anything."
"Yeah."
"But you know he'll be spark broken."
"I know..."
The two of you, both over your mushy crying episode, walked out of his room. Perceptor saw the two of you and smirked slightly, but gave a nod of gratitude. And the entire way back to the labs, you made sure to evade and hide from a certain tactician.
