You'd told him you hated this. This poking.

Did he listen? Of course not. This was Optimus Prime after all. Or, as you knew him, Puppy-mus Prime.

It was deceiving to you: as soon as the bot was within the presence of anybody else in the team, it would be as if a switch inside of him flipped, and suddenly, he was a tall fearless leader with his emotions in check. Barely ever showing emotional reactions to any occurrence, sometimes even you would be intimidated by his look. The second you two were alone, however, he turned into a clingy loving mess.

It reminded you of the first time you'd encountered the prime. Such a freak accident it'd been, and it so easily could've been avoided. Your science teacher had given the class an assignment; collect pond water and examine it under a microscope. You'd been dreading this assignment; for as long as you could remember, you hated nature and anything having to du with Mother Earth. There were just so many bugs. And so, naturally, you procrastination skills had kicked into high gear, and eventually you had fallen asleep watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. You'd woken up in a panic realizing that that blaring sound in your head hadn't been imaginary and that your alarm had been going off for half an hour. The panic had set in as you realized not only had you done none of your homework but your also hadn't collected your water. Fearing a failing grade, in a cold sweat, you'd thrown on a quick outfit and dashed out the door, plastic container in hand, and into the woods right in your backyard. In the heavy fog of anxiety, you'd strayed off the path without noticing, and soon had become lost. Now the panic became worse, as you had frantically scanned your surroundings for some sort of familiarity to your scanning eyes, to no avail. The faint clashing of metal in the distance had caught the attention of your ear, and you had begun to walk in the direction of the sound, hoping for help or some sign of civilization. But...as you'd walked into a clearing, your eyes had been met with such a daunting sight that you'd felt you would never be able to live after that.

A soft jab to your side brought you back from the past, as you surpressed a smile.

"Oppy, nooo." You whisked as he poked you with his digit again. "What did I tell you?!" You watched as his face lit up at the nickname.

"I heard what you said before, I just chose to ignore it." The comment prompted you to roll your eyes. You opened your mouth to speak, but choked on the words as Optimus gently jabbed his digit into your stomach again. Clenching your jaw, you swallowed the laughter that threatened to make itself known. In a move of desperation, you grabbed your Appa blanket and draped it over your head, shielding your vision from the bot sitting on his berth. Pulling the fleece ends around your body, you slouched, letting all the tensed muscles that had accumulated over the day relax.

"Optimus....no." You scolded him, still hidden under the drape. Right now, you just weren't in the mood. The room fell silent, save for your breaths. Content that he'd finally given up, you let yourself fall over on the nightstand, curling up in the blanket. Ever since that faithful day, you'd been presumed dead, and had been living at the base. It having been an ex military silo, it held enough human facilities, like a bathroom and kitchen, and you often slept there too.

More recently, however, you'd been sleeping in the Prime's room.

Sighing, you mumbled, "It's not that hard to obey. Just...don't poke the human trying to sleeeeeeeep." Your eyelids acted as if they weighed a thousand tons, struggling to remain open for any period longer than a second. Resting your head on your arm, you allowed your eyes to slip closed for a final time, expecting to fall under the surface of consciousness at any moment. Your bones ached less and less as your vision slowly fell from the shallow darkness that came from simply closing one's eyes to the darkness that came from sleep. Your grip loosened on the blanket. The atmosphere around you faded away to nonexistence. Just as you were about to submit yourself to the seemingly inevitable lull of sleep...

"FINE!!" You sat up quickly, much against the protests of your limbs, and turned to face the bot, who was sitting, on his berth, hugging his knees. He looked down at you with wide begging eyes. He didn't say much, but no words were really needed. You knew what he wanted. Still under the perception that you didn't know what he wanted, he patted his chassis. "I'll cuddle." The smile that slid onto his faceplate tugged at your heartstrings, and you mirrored the expression, He held his servo out, and, grabbing your blanket, sat on the metal. He gently brought you over, and, resting his head on his pillow, gingerly set you down on the left glass pane. The material was hard, but the warmth that emanated from his frame washed a comforting soporific feeling through your body. He rest his servo overtop you, but in a way so you felt none of the weight. The combination of the gently heat and the soft rhythmic thrumming of Optimus' spark tugged at you, begging you to let yourself fall asleep. But there was still one thing that blocked you from doing so.

"It was you."

"Hmmm?" He hummed, making his frame vibrate.

"It was you staring at me, wasn't it?" The bot froze, then relaxed.

"You were spending too much time with Ratchet." He whined. His voice had a certain tone to it.

"Wait...are you jealous?" You smiled, having pinpointed the exact expression you'd been looking for.

"No..." The servo around your body seemed to tense. Yeah, he was definitely jealous. You found it kind of cute: A big tough prime jealous for a human like yourself. "Besides..." He continued. "I know you're mine and only mine."

You smiled and hummed in contentment, curling up. Now that the question had been answered, there was nothing holding you back from sinking into the darkness that was unconsciousness. but, not before you heard the prime sigh,

"Mine...."
