Heatwave and Blades
Y'all, this is my OTP.
Like big time.

Had they been real, the daggers that Heatwave shot towards Blades would have sliced his armor into pieces. The Copter bot was too busy running his servo up and down his rotor, which he held close. The end looked as if a bear had mauled it, with sharp pointed edges jabbing in all directions. Despite the separated feature, the most terrifying part of the injury was the continuous stream running down his back frame, staining his servos and dripping to the floor.
The energon wasn't the only thing dripping.
"Blades!!" The shaking copter jumped at the sharp commanding tone, and snapped his helm up. His orange tearing optics met the firetruck's burning ones, and a wave of deep unpurified fear washed through his energon veins.
"Um...yes?" His voice quivered, almost as if he couldn't gather enough air to speak normally.
"I'd love to know what exactly you were thinking!"
"My thoughts exactly." Both pairs of optics snapped down to the Chief, who stood there, arms crossed and face drawn. "You know so much better then to go out flying during a windstorm!! You could have gotten Dani killed." He jabbed his finger at said pilot, who was currently sitting on the gutter of the street, wrapped in a gray blanket, as a paramedic wiped the stream of blood streaming from her head.
"B-but she..."
"I don't want to hear your excuses." Heatwave snapped, cutting off the mumbling fumbling bot. "Chief, I can take it from here." He gritted through clenched teeth. Chief nodded once, refusing to move his eyes from Blades.
"To be continued back at the firehouse." It nearly sounded like a growl, and it rang inside Blade's audio receptors, like a drum pounding away at his sanity.
"...but I'm not done." Heatwave hissed. "What you did was absolutely irresponsible!"
"B-but Heatwave..." His hold on his rotor tightened, drawing energon as the sides sliced through his playing.
"Don't interrupt! It's so unlike you, not to pay attention..."
"Please listen I..." His energon servos shook as the desperation broiled.
"ANY rookie flyer would know to keep their mind on the sky!! Primus, Blades, what the frag were you thinking abou—"
"I WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU, OK?!" The sound of splitting metal rang through the valley, calling the attention of all those in sight. A deep gutteral sound came from inside Heatwave as he staggered back, quite nearly losing his balance. Energon splattered to the ground. Glass shattered. An echo of gasps snapped Blades to attention, and the rotor slipped form his servos. As his optics took in the damage, they slowly widened with fear.
Not of Heatwave, nor of The chief, but of himself.
"H-heatwave...I..." With a final pain-stricken look, Blades whirled on his heels, disappearing into the shadows of the vast forest.
"Blades!! Come back!!"
"Heatwave, what...oh!" Kade, who had been sitting by his sister's side, jumped up. "What happened?"
"What do you mean wh—" A searing burning cut his words off, englufing the bot in a whole heap of pain. With a low groan, Heatwave followed the trail of fire down to his chassis.
Where Blades has just slashed a mighty gash through his chassis with the rotor.
