Bully (Continued With Different P.O.V's)
Bully (Continued With Different P.O.V.'s)
"Thanks, Bumblebee," Raf said quietly, and patted my hood. I knew something wasn't right. He was bruised, he didn't want to go to the base, and he just was never himself anymore.
Realizing he had been waiting a few seconds for me to reply, I did.
::You're...welcome.::
Raf gave me a small smile before disappearing into his house, and I drove to the base, thoughts swarming through my processor.
Raf had become noticeably quieter. Optimus even pointed it out. He hasn't been himself lately...ever since Jack confronted him about-
I'm an idiot.
I called Raf as I drove, and he didn't answer. I kept calling as I accelerated significantly towards the base to get there faster, and skidded to a stop once I entered, leaving tire marks on the Autobot insignia, earning a glare from Ratchet and a confused look from Bulkhead. Optimus had no expression evident on his faceplate.
"What's the rush, Bee?" Arcee asked as I transformed.
"Where's Raf?" Jack asked me.
::Jack, I need your help,:: I said quickly. He looked to Arcee for translation.
"He needs your help."
"Why-wait, hold that thought," Jack muttered, pulling out his cell phone which had suddenly started to ring. (Ratchet had tinkered with the humans' phones to make the signal stronger at some point).
"Mom?" Jack asked curiously, putting the device to his ear. The room was silent for a few seconds. Everybody was, for some reason, paying attention to Jack. Even Ratchet.
"What?" he suddenly cried, and ran a hand through his hair in shock. Emotions of grief, sadness, and pain were evident in his eyes.
"I'll be there soon."
He hurriedly hung up the phone and looked up at us.
"What was that about?" Arcee asked curiously. Jack bit his lip.
"Raf...Raf tried to kill himself."
An uneasy silence filled the room, before a long droning beep filled the silence.
I realized the droning beep was me after nearly a minute. Ratchet put a servo on my shoulder to try and calm me down.
Arcee transformed, and Jack got on. Once he was secure, she sped out of the base almost as fast as I had drove in.
Optimus was frowning to himself at this, while Bulkhead could understand what the words meant, but didn't want to. Ratchet was still trying to stop my slow drone of a beep, but it wasn't helping anything. I couldn't seem to stop myself.
Jack's P.O.V.
Arcee got me to the hospital in record time. I quickly parked in a random spot, not knowing or caring if it was reserved or handicapped or anything. Everything really seemed to go by in a blur.
My mom met me at the entrance and guided me to a chair in the waiting room.
"He's still out, but he's stable. He'll be fine," she said to reassure me. I hardly payed any attention, staring off in some random corner.
I knew Raf was being bullied. I knew he was acting different. I knew he was hurting. I knew, and I did nothing.
Nothing.
I hid my head in my lap, feeling completely guilty. My mom wrapped an arm around me to try and console me somewhat, but it didn't help.
I didn't even talk to him outside of the base. What kind of a person am I, going from caring to suddenly not caring about their best friend after a few months?
Eventually my mother left, having to go back to work, and I was left alone with my thoughts for a few minutes, before I heard someone sit down next to me. Figuring it was a random stranger, I stayed in the same position.
"You okay?" I heard Miko's voice ask.
That can't be Miko. She's in Tokyo right now.
"Ratchet bridged me back when Bulkhead called me to tell me about Raf," her voice continued explaining. I looked up, seeing Miko's bright pink and black hair before anything else.
"How long have you been sitting there?" she asked.
"I dunno...thirty minutes?"
"Have you seen Raf yet?"
"No. He's still out."
She frowned, biting her lip.
"I called him an idiot," she muttered.
"I never talked to him about anything other than the Autobots," I replied softly.
We sat there in silence, occasionally glancing at the Esquivel family, who looked worried out of their minds. Once I saw them leave and head into a hospital room, I was slightly relieved and even more worried at the same time. I got a text from Arcee.
Have you seen Raf yet? We're worried. I've never seen Ratchet this way, and Bee won't quit beeping.
I felt a small sad smile form on my lips.
I haven't seen him yet.
My phone buzzed ten seconds later.
Keep us posted.
Miko's P.O.V
After about another thirty minutes, Raf's family came back out. His mom was crying, which set me slightly off-guard.
A nurse who wasn't Jack's mom came up to us.
"Are you with the Esquivels?" she asked quietly, mainly to Jack, as she probably knew him through his mother.
"We're Raf's friends," Jack replied, and she gestured for us to follow.
"He keeps falling asleep, but he's fine," she explained as we walked, and opened the door for us. Taking one look at him, I saw him lying on a gurney in the Autobot base slowly expiring from Dark Energon. I shook my head, and he was instead in a gurney in the hospital, hooked up to a large machine.
"Raf..." I whimpered, taking a seat next to him. He slowly looked in my direction.
"Hi," he said quietly, giving us a tired smile. I reached over and hugged him, careful of the tubes and IV's he was connected to.
"Don't do that ever again," I muttered. Jack had been silent this whole time, and when I looked back at him, his eyes were a little red and watery.
"There's just something...in my eye," he muttered when he caught me looking at him, wiping his eyes. Raf gave him a small smile, which Jack returned.
"Do you know how worried the 'bots are?" Jack finally said after a while. Raf shrugged. Jack took out his phone.
"Ratchet's worried, and Bee's currently having a fit," he paraphrased.
"Tell them I said hi," Raf said quietly, and Jack got to typing. A few seconds later his phone buzzed.
"Bumblebee finally stopped. Everyone's relieved," Jack said. Raf smiled weakly, before his eyes closed. I remembered the nurse saying that he was sleeping a lot, but I turned to his heart monitor, fearing it would show me a flat line. It didn't, and I couldn't help but sigh in relief.
Jack and I looked at each other, before unanimously deciding to leave and come back when Raf was awake and feeling better.
"I gotta get back...My parents are still asleep. It's like, 7 over there right now," I said to him. Jack nodded, typing on his phone. A few minutes later, Arcee showed up and we got on. We were silent for a while.
"So?" she asked.
"Raf's doing well. He's just really tired," I filled her in. Oddly, she didn't ask about anything else. We were silent the ride back to the base.
Once we entered the base and Arcee stopped, I got off, and we were immediately greeted by Bumblebee. The others were crowded around Ratchet's monitor.
"He's okay, Bee," I reassured as I walked up the stairs of the catwalk over to the monitor, where Bumblebee and Arcee joined us after Jack re-told bee what I had two seconds ago. I felt bad for the bot.
"What's going on?" Jack asked, glancing up at the screen, where we saw Raf's social media page. His cell phone and laptop were hooked up to cords leading to the monitor.
"I asked Agent Fowler to get Raf's communication devices," Ratchet replied, typing rapidly. It looked like he was hacking Raf's passwords.
"I am currently recovering any messages that have been deleted," he explained. A few minutes later he was finished, and he started to read the first one sent.
No matter how hard you try, you're never going to fit in. You're an outcast. And a nerd.
Ratchet scrolled through the entire conversation, eventually coming to the part where Vince claimed he was Jack. Everyone glanced at him.
"That wasn't me," he defended angrily. "There is no way that I would ever say that."
Jack kept reading, eyes fierce.
Ratchet's P.O.V.
I was completely shocked. I couldn't believe what humans did to each other, and it happened to one of our own.
The texts and E-mails that had been sent to Raf were devastating.
No one likes you. I'm just saying what everyone is thinking, you know. Your family ignores you because they don't like you. You only have 'friends' because they take pity and feel sorry for you. Really, you're just a lonely outcast with no purpose in life but get straight A's.
You're just a freak.
You're alone.
The last text that was sent to Rafael before the incident practically made me blow up in anger.
You don't deserve to live.
After that, there was nothing more.
::Raf...went through all this and never told us?:: Bumblebee asked quietly, and I couldn't help but notice the hurt tone in his voice. Optimus put a servo on his shoulder-plate, and Arcee put her servo on his other.
"I don't believe we ever asked him what was wrong. We just assumed it was a phase..." I replied quietly, looking away from Bumblebee sadly.
"Ratchet...as much as I don't want to, I need to go," Miko said quietly, gesturing to the GroundBridge. I nodded, pulling the lever. The bridge opened, and Miko disappeared through it.
"Can you bridge me home too?" Jack asked, and I complied, changing the coordinates. I watched as Jack disappeared, and the bridge finally closed, leaving us in silence.
**
Jack's P.O.V.
I wasn't planning to stay home.
When I bridged back, I found myself in my bedroom, and I hurriedly walked out and into the living room. I opened our front door and stormed outside, slamming it behind me. I knew where Vince lived; it was only down the street. I knew since elementary school, but I never went, until now.
Before I knew it I found myself standing in front of Vince's front door. It took all my self-control not to bang on it, and I gently knocked.
Vince answered, and his eyebrows rose at seeing me. My eyes only narrowed.
Calm down, Jack. Don't kill him.
"What do you want?" he asked, getting over his shock.
"I want to give you a piece of my mind," I snapped. "Raf tried to kill himself earlier today. And I know you were the one to harass him the most."
"He finally took my advice? Good," Vince scoffed. My anger boiled, and my fist met his jaw before I could stop myself.
"Don't you dare say that ever again," I growled. Vince was cupping his jaw and glaring at me. I didn't even feel sorry, but I knew I was now being a bully.
"In fact, don't you dare hurt my friends like that ever again, or you're getting a black eye to match the certain bruise that'll form on your jaw," I threatened, before turning around and walking off. I heard Vince slam the door behind me.
Once I was closer towards my house, I noticed a blue motorcycle, a black-and-yellow muscle car, a green SUV, an ambulance, and a semi all parked in a row on the side of the street.
"You're going to attract attention with a caravan like that," I muttered, not bothering to look at them.
"Jack, was it really wise for you to go after Raf's harasser right now?" Optimus asked.
"Probably not," I muttered, finally stopping and facing them.
"Revenge doesn't help anyone, Jack," Arcee said gently. Bumblebee warbled.
"Bumblebee said 'thanks', though," she translated.
"How long were you guys there? How did you even know I was going to go to Vince's?"
"Long enough. And call it a hunch," Bulkhead replied.
"I personally think Vince deserves worse than a punch," Ratchet muttered. The bots "looked" at him.
"Well, you can't argue with that," I replied. "But I'm not turning into another Vince."

Well, the reason why I continued a second part is because I was interested in diffenrent P.O.V.'s, but @PamelieaGoodwin deserved most of the credit as to why I made this second part.
Again, get help if your being bullied. And if you need someone to talk to, PM me. :)
But get help and support from people around you too. :)
