Falling Asleep- Maddison (Prime)
I'm sitting with my legs tucked underneath me, on the small couch in the Autobot base, trying to beat Bumblebee at a racing game. I was told it was nearly impossible, which I learned quickly that that was true, considering he was currently beating me instead. As the game came closer and closer to ending, I was getting angrier and angrier.
"This isn't fair Bee!" I shriek in anger. "You're cheating!"
He beeps back a reply, clearly happy with my loss. I chuck down the remote, and go to stand up, fed up with the game. I'm a little bit of a sore loser.
"I still think you.." I begin, before falling, landing on my stomach on the floor.
I groan as I roll onto my back, staring up into Bee's now concerned face. I attempt to pull myself up off the floor and stand up, but as soon as I put weight onto my legs, I go down again.
Bee starts chirping, confused and nervous as to why I can't stand up. He goes to pick me up in his servo, but I put a hand out.
"I'm fine Bee, trust me." I tell him. "My legs just fell asleep."
I just sit on the floor for a few minutes, rubbing my legs to get the blood pumping, while he watches me warily. He clearly doesn't believe that I'm okay.
I finally am able to stand up without falling, although part of my right leg is still asleep. That causes a little bit of a limp, I notice as I walk around. As I head to get down off the platform, I feel myself rise up off the floor. I turn around, and see Bee, as he carries me in his servo. I groan as I realize where we're headed, and whine to Bee.
"I'm fine, I swear!" I try to convince him. "I don't need to go see Ratchet, so put me down!" I start pounding on his digits, but he holds me tight until he sets me down in front of Ratchet.
I turn and glare at Bee, then look at the Autobot medic.
"I'm fine, my leg just fell asleep." I explain again, before he can ask any questions. "I cut off the circulation to my legs while I was sitting, and the blood hadn't pumped back through my legs quite yet when I stood."
I look back at Bumblebee, and point to him as I say,
"So can you tell him I'm alright?"
Ratchet sighs, exasperated, then does as I asked, before turning back to his work, and telling us not to bother him again.
As Bee picks me up, and sets me on the floor, I smirk at him.
"See, I told you I'm fine!"
He only glares at me as he walks away, and I run to catch up.

A few hours later, I rush out into the main room of the base, desperately trying to find Ratchet.
"Ratchet!!" I holler out. "Where are you!?"
"What, what is it?" He snaps at me from his workspace. "I'm very busy!"
"It's Bee." I explain. "He can't stand up! Is it possible for your guys' limbs to fall asleep?"
I lead him to where I left Bumblebee, which is in the hall. He's sitting up, his legs outstretched in front of him.
"We were sitting with our legs crossed, trying to see if he'd get the same effect from it as I did, mostly because he didn't believe me when I said it didn't hurt, and he went to stand up and fell." I tell Ratchet. "But then I thought, what if it doesn't have the same effect on him as it did to me? What if he wouldn't be able to stand up for ages? So, is he okay?"
I watched, concerned, as Ratchet scans Bee. He steps back from the bot, and looks at me with a slight smile on his face. He quickly wipes it off, and tells me,
"He is perfectly fine. Now, will you two stay out of trouble so I can continue to work?"
He walks away, and Bumblebee and I share a look, mine being one of relief that he's okay.

The next day, while a bunch of the Autobots and I are at the base, working on different things, we hear a shout come from Ratchet's workspace. We all rush there, only to find the medic cradling his arm, just standing there.
"What's wrong?" We all ask, nearly in unison, while Arcee goes to check his arm.
It doesn't look broken, or burnt to me, and I can't see any emerging lying around in puddles, so I'm curious to know why he hollered, as is everyone else.
"I am fine!" He snaps at us, pulling his arm away from Arcee.
"Then why'd you yell?" I question.
He turns away from us, and mumbles something.
"What?"
"My arm is numb!" He turns back to us and yells.
"What were you doing before it became this state, old friend?" Optimus steps forward and asks.
"Well, I was working on this datapad, and was leaning on it, and when I went to grab something off my desk, I couldn't feel much from my servo up to my elbow." He explains to us.
"How long were you leaning on that arm before you realized it had become frozen?" I pipe up and ask.
Looking down at me, Ratchet replies,
"A few earth hours, I'm not quite sure."
I look at Bee after he answers, and we both burst out in peals of laughter.
"What is so funny?" Optimus asks us, as we try to calm down.
I hiccup as I reply,
"It's just -hic- that I-I know what's -hic- wrong!"
"Then what is it?!" Ratchet snaps.
"Your arm is asleep!" I squeal, before collapsing into laughter again.
A slight blush creeps across Ratchet's face, as he realizes why Bee and I find it so funny, before turning abruptly away from us.
"Get out." He tells us quietly, clearly embarrassed that he didn't realize what was wrong, considering he's a medic and all.
"Get out!" He says louder after we didn't move, and we all obey, leaving him be.
I turn to Bumblebee, and say,
"That was the best reaction to having an arm fall asleep that I have ever seen!"
Before dissolving into giggles again.
