Maybe she should've left her memory alone. Maybe she shouldn't have considered even going to the Autobot's base back then.

Maybe she shouldn't have even introduced herself, or agreed to any of it.

She knew this was going to happen. It was that, or betrayal.

Then again, she should be thankful, for he died instead of betraying her.

Or any of them.

On the surface of the now restored Cybertron, a femme quietly looked up at the statue of a stoic mech. The neon glowed a soft glare up at the statue, as the navy armored femme stared.

She knew it was not her fault, or any of them. It could be the reason why she passed over it faster then what was expected.

'I could've done something though...' she thought bitterly, guilt crawled over her armor. 'I should have spent more time, instead of shoving them off...'

The femme sighed before she looked away from the statues, growling to herself as she situated her rifle to the other side. True, the war was over for what, three years, four? It was hard to keep count when you spent most of your time sulking in guilt.

But that never changed the fact that her rifle remained with her. Or that she just left a bouquet of silver-colored flowers at the base of the statue. True, his death was from years away, but it changed her.

'Probably for the worse,' she thought as she looked away from the statue sadly.

She shot insults, held up a sneer, she wasn't going to lie, his death did change her.

The femme sighed as she turned heel, and walked. Away from Optimus Prime's statue of honor, away from her recent memories.

It never changed the fact that she was trained as a soldier, her footing was a 'One two, one two, one two three four.' It rhymed as the femme started to hum a song. An Earth one. She was glad that there was no "squirrels" on Cybertron, or she would've made sure of it's extinction before she considered an Energon refuel.

As she walked the illuminated sidewalks of the newly built Iacon, she stopped. A cry. A sound.

'Ridiculous... No way there are sparklings in the streets, especially since Iacon is STILL being built,' she thought incredulously as she sped on her rhythm.

Just as she reached a dark ally, the same cry rang. Her audios quickly adjusted to it.

It was a sparkling's cry.

So she wasn't imagining things, as she perked up towards the sound. Quietly yet swiftly she headed over to the ally, and found nothing.

Yet the crying was still there.

The femme adjusted her visor to make sure that she was seeing everything. Silently she thanked Ratchet for giving her a better version of a visor, her old one just helped clear up SOME fuzziness.

There. A small rattle echoed from a large cluster of Energon cubes as she approached it cautiously. Her servo quickly shifted to form an ion cannon as she approached the cubes silently.

Maybe the femme was imagining that. It wasn't a surprise to her if it was her imagination, the war tampered her thoughts and and actions. If anything, she almost killed Zaram one time because he knocked on her door. She seriously wished she took some therapy lessons, but she never trusted Knockout, even if he did became an Autobot.

No, it was because she didn't trust that he would give her a quality amount of therapy with his obsession over his paint job. One day she will hand him an explosive grenade just for it to ruin his paint job and watch him cry over it. Now that was one scene to enjoy over one's misery.

Now that she thought of it, she did change.

'For the worse,' she thought once again out of the blue.

Ignoring the new resolution, the femme peered into the Energon cubes. Down there revealed a cowered frame, one that could be held in a servo. However... That frame reminded her...

Blazing red and blue... The femme froze as her brother's death replayed in her mind. No... Not again...

She shook her helm out violently, and peered in again. This time, two innocent cyan orbs looked up at her. No... They were optics. The child was dumped in there, that was for sure. And it just stared, unsure how to react. It searched the femme with intent optics.

The femme looked away instantly and stood up. She never wanted to restore the memories. The sparkling seemed like as though he looked through her. Those optics... Why did they reminded her of him?

All the sudden she felt two small arms wrapped around her ped. In alarm she glared down only to see the small child out of his containment.

The child reminded her too much of Optimus, to the point that she considered blasting it away to Earth.

But then a new thought arose. 'Could it be Optimus?' called out a tiny voice in her helm. 'Ridiculous... He's dead! He can't be revived!' was replied in anger and hurt.

Soon she looked down again, and knelt to the child's optic view. The child tilted his helm at her before it went over to her and hugged her.

The femme stiffened and jerked away at once. The sparkling retaliated, surprised and scared from her sudden reaction.

'Icearena, you scared a sparkling now?!' scolded Ratchet's voice in her helm. Icearena frowned and all the sudden looked back at the smaller husk.

That innocence... It disgusted her. Her dermas scrunched up at the thought of it. It made her want to run away. She probably had the same look the little child had when she lost her memories. But now she was not the clueless, scared femme in a once clueless world. Oh no, she was now one with no memories.

Just numb feelings.

However, the only memories she could call memories were those she spent with her siblings. And some of her "friends".

The rest were just... Presumably videos stored in her processor. Yes, videos, that her optics just recorded on her way.

Then she looked back at the sparkling. Who still remained with her. 'What is he even doing staying with me?!' she thought in annoyance. Icearena then recalled the times when she saw the sparklings do that to their carriers and/or sires.

"You want me to pick you up?" she asked him, her first words towards the sparkling. The sparkling nodded quietly and hugged her again.

'He has memory issues, I just kicked him away!' she muttered in thought. If Ice picked up the sparkling, and her teammates saw her, then she would never forgive herself. But if she ditched the kid, she would be shunned at by her sister Swiftclaw and the others.

And she despised being shunned at. Ice sighed in dismay as she reluctantly wrapped her arms around the sparkling and picked him up as gently as possible. She shivered at the touch and swallowed down her fluids nervously as Ice held him up to her chassis.

Suddenly the sparkling looked up at her happily as he snuggled up in her hold.

Ice froze, unsure how to react. She reminded herself that sparklings were gentle and not like grenades or guns, but glass and vials. Now she's wondering if she was going to murder the mechling accidentally.

She came up with a plan on how to get rid of the sparkling as she looked around. 'Easy, let's get the kid back to Bumblebee, and the kid isn't going to be with you,' she talked to herself. It wasn't hard to see that the sparkling was ditched, as he seemed what, a stellar cycle? Two?

No carrier would ever leave their sparklings alone. She knew that from her "visits" (more like pulled away from her unit and shoved into an another by the others) to her other teammates whom by now started families that they NEVER EVER let their sparklings out of their sights.

Especially considering the fact that there were still buildings out there that were in danger of collapsing.

She turned heel, swallowing away the uncertainty of the little bundle that she held. 'Better be quick... Or I won't be able to survive,' she thought, her peds picked up a faster pace as she practically jogged to the station. She counted it a mission to get rid of the sparkling.

Ice Arena couldn't help but notice the bots who stared at her direction, all confused before they ignored her.

The sparkling meanwhile was all comfortable in the tall femme's servos as he snuggled up to her. That caused the femme to feel less comfortable then she was.

The last time she felt that was when she and Zaram were the only one available to watch the sparklings. Ever since then and  her brother never allowed her near sparklings. And it also earned her the nickname "Icy Meanie" from that experience by the sparklings because... Let's just say she wasn't nice with them.

She huffed at the memory. So what?! She wasn't good with handling tiny bundles of innocence. Ice can handle a gun, maybe a dagger, and a giant CANNON!

Not small packages of innocence.

Suddenly the targeted building loomed over as she entered the doors eagerly. Now she never had to deal with the tiny bundle.

Over at the lobby stood a a shorter yellow and black mech, who was talking to a blue and white femme about his height.

Not noticing her, Ice Arena approached the yellow and black mech, the sparkling still in her arms. She wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible before she actually drops him and run away.

Yes, she was that desperate.

'How can SwiftClaw take care of a child without feeling this?' she thought to herself as she tapped on the mech's shoulder pad.

The mech looked up at her as his optics widened at once. "Ice Arena? It's been awhile since you last visited," he greeted, slightly confused at the femme, for she never visited anybot except her older sister SwiftClaw, and that was a rare occasion.

That was before he noticed something in her arms. Or somebot for that matter. What surprised him further was that it was a sparkling.

"Since when you had sparklings?" he asked her confused. The taller femme looked at him in bewilderment.

"Who said it was my sparkling?!" she yelled, which caused the sparkling below her to jump in fear a he woke up.

Bumblebee held up his servo in a "calm down" motion. "Ice, where did you find the sparkling?" he asked her, dead to the point.

She sighed. "I found him in the ally... He doesn't seem lost, more like ditched in there. I decided to give him to you since you are a patrolman," she replied in a stoic tone as she collected her composure.

He nodded as he looked at the sparkling, who calmed down again and looked at Bumblebee.

The yellow and black patterned mech frowned at once at the sparkling. That sparkling looked so similar to Optimus Prime, the same paint job, the same optics...

I'm gonna stop it here.

If you were wondering, yes, the sparkling IS Optimus Prime reborned. I didn't honestly like how he was alive again in RiD 2015...

So I decided to write this one shot...
