Life for y/n wasn't the best as of recent. Her father had recently passed away from cancer and her boyfriend- man she hated calling him that- had started abusing her. Her best friend who was always there for her, Megatron, had no idea what was going on.

He had the hints that he noticed, the bruises, the fear and hurt in y/n's eyes, the limp, the tight squeeze b/f would have on her wrist or shoulder. Questions arose in his brain but he didn't think much of them well until that night he sat with Soundwave.

"we got to get Y/n out of her situation."

"situation?"

Sounds looked at him, shocked, "Yes her situation, have you really not noticed?"

"Noticed what?"

"that she's being abused by b/f!"

Megatron felt his world crumble under him. How could he have been so stupid to not realize what y/n was going through? Her father just died and now she's being abused?

Soundwave sighed and spoke but what he said was drowned out by Megatron's overwhelming fear.

He stood up ignoring the fear for just a moment, "I'll be back, " he growled in a low dangerous tone before bolting out the door and towards that old shack on Maple Street that was home to the now most hated man in Megatron's mind.

-with Y/n-

"IM SORRY?! THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?!" b/f/n shouted as he smashed a bottle above y/n's head.

"I-it won't happen again!" she whimpered back, holding her bloodied cheek.

"You've gone too far! I forgave you graciously for my dinner!"

Graciously wasn't the right word for that, Not killing her was. She had accidentally made pizza when B/f/n wanted pasta without telling her. It was always her fault but she couldn't understand why.

He rustled through a drawer and grabbed a knife, "I'll kill you!-"

B/f/n was knocked to the ground by a hard punch in the back. "not on my watch, " the voice growled out before running over to y/n's side. "are you alright?"

She looked up to find those worried red eyes of Megatron and for the first time in her life, she shook her head no.

Megatron nodded before swiftly picking her up, "let me protect you."
