STAGE 8~FLAWS ARE YAY! PERFECT IS BOO! Act II

So, recap. We learned that everything that creates a perfect OC is BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! *repeats 'BAD' until mouth parches*

Anyway! *wears Mary Sue hunting gear and salutes* SOLDIERS WE ARE TO LOCATE EVERY PERFECT OC AND TERMINATE THEM PERMANENTLY!

LOCATING THE MARY SUE

You can NOT locate a Mary Sue on your own, you need outside influence!

THOSE INCLUDE! Your readers, editors, Transformers, Mary Sue tests, Transformers, and your family members if they are interested in your stories, and writers.

So don't ignore someone, tell them head on that you don't care about any criticizing, but that's another stage.

Point is, once you locate them (you can locate them on your own, its just that you need to try hard and admit the fact) you will be introduced to ways where you can solve the issue!

ELIMINATION

Simple. Pluck the OC, kick it out, and destroy it Carrie style. Then feed the OC if a Cybertronian to scraplets, and create a fake witness report.

However, it varies with the importance of the OC.

MC aka Main Character OC => Delete the story. The main OC, if Mary Sue, can not remain in the story, as she needs to acquire flaws in order for the story to be complete.

SC aka Secondary Character OC => Secretly remove them or at most kill them off, as they have a less important role

REPLACING OCs

This is a technique that I used a few times, ta be honest. So, this is like studying the Mary Sue, create another OC with similar traits that Mary Sue had (without the perfection of course Duh) and replace it.

So, STORY EXAMPLE TIME! *pulls out sunglasses, a flashlight, and closes the light*

It all began with an OC that I created when I first watched Transformers 3 years ago after a reunion (OH GOD I MISSED YOU TRANSFORMERS! ;.;) Typically, like any other person, I created a Mary Sue OC. By that time though, I wasn't as informative with writing as today.

So, here were her qualities, and lets hope you won't shun me cause I threw her in the trash can ^.^

~OP's younger sister

~Darker, Feminine version OP

~Expert fighter and mechanic

~Was Solus Prime reborn

~Really kind and sweet

You get the idea. It's Mary Sue written all over her, and I guess I hid her well by the fact that she had amnesia *O.O Worst OC ever made*

So, I decided to replace her. Here' the results:

~Amnesiac

~Cold and Harsh

~OP's younger sister *treats him like trash though*

~Typical War Machine

~Bad mechanic or technology skills though

~Different color scheme

~DOES NOT have OP's features *some, but not 100% feminine version*

As you can see above readers, I kept some basics that I deemed to like. The other traits? Slashed them away using Anti-Barbie equipment!

Now, those techniques above are just a few. I really suggest the second one, as it is valuable to keep some traits and reuse them. You never know!

NON-MARY SUE OC EXAMPLES

Alright, so I decided to get in some OCs that I asked permission from their owners to use as examples, and why they deemed to me as a decent OCs. Possible spoilers of different stories, so ya might wanna wear sunglasses *hands you sunglasses*

OK PEEPS!

1) @TFALokiwriter - Ivy from the "Why am I in Transformers Prime?" series is described with one word: Unpredictable. Typical 17-year old Transfan who gets into her least favorite series-Transformers Prime. Like any normal person who would hate his/her show, this onnoxious fangirl drove the Decepticons on the ship nuts, especially for revenge after *Slashed off for Spoilers* Basically, a decent character who has her flaws and likes and dislikes and fears! I can relate to her, if she went to Beast Wars though

2) @MoxieAftermath - GoldGears from the "A Darker Side" is a femme in the IDW Comics who joins the Lost Light all because of a bet. If you read the story, you would notice GoldGears flaws and strengths combined, along with some of her likes and dislikes

Both of these OCs proved they were well thought, and that the author thought awhile before completing them. Or maybe they are based on themselves. But these factors allowed those two to be memorable in the back of my 24/7 thinking brain ^.^ *gives the authors Brownies and Chocolate Chip Cookies*

As noticed, Stage 9 is about backstories and flashbacks, and how these incorporate to the Cybertronian's and OCs/Canons present face

TATA! OH!

Sorry for not updating in awhile ^^'

I was rather busy with catching up homework (and too much RP hehe guilty)

But, I assure you that the devilish ETTC (Educational Terrorizing Torture Center aka Homework and School) will release its clutches on me by May 21! WAHOOO!!!!!

As a fun activity, pull out your most well thought OC and type in their strengths and flaws, along with likes and dislikes and fears!

TILL ALL ARE ONE! ~ MeMe Medix off
