What is with the follow-the-plots? Is it a new writer trend? Cause news flash newbs: IT'S BORING!

Fanfictions need to be original! But how?

G1. Get a good idea from it, and spawn a whole story.

It can be a certain artifact, or weapon, or a canon's backstory.

It can be anything! Just don't copy other author's plot without giving SOME credit.

Now let me introduce you to this word: AU aka Alternative Universe.

It's pretty much a What If story.

Choose a scene you never liked, come up with some crazy idea on how you avoid it.

Or just turn OP into a femme.

I know a friend who is an expert at this. Crossing over two unlikely universes, she created a story of endless possibilities.

Now what do I mean with Crossovers? Well it could be two types.

The first one is *roll drum* FANDOM CROSSOVER!

To be honest, I rarely see these. Like Harry Potter/Transformers, Percy Jackson/Transformers, ALL TYPES!

See, now you can do anything! So go to your imagination, and open the doors!

Like let as say that OP is turned human, and was dropped in Camp Half Blood. How would Percy react?

The second type is your typical Universe/Universe.

Armada/Animated, Prime/Bayverse (BORING FYI), TFRID 2001/Cybertron, ect.

These are fun to play with too.

So I know there are TFP Fans right? I like TFP, but wouldn't be more interesting if let us say, oh, TFP OP meeting TFC OP?

That would be enjoyable.

ORIGINS

Do not ever dismiss ideas as ridiculous. I just created the Hybrids, and a Cybertronian version of Medusa because I was reading myths and watching Digimon. Knightress was actually my Bakugan OC, and LeonKentaur was actually from my Digimon OC.

History can give you ideas, a friend (she deleted her stories sadly) Created the first time traveling story about Autobots in human forms were in different Time Periods and events.
