Chapter 12. Primal Instincts

The downtown of Detroit was a mess from the Decepticons and the predacon's destruction, but the town had seen its share, the town was on its third time of almost destruction and this really pained the Autobots to see this again.

"Not again," Sari muttered when she saw some buildings destroyed.

The humans were screaming and running terrified. Sari hated this, hated to see her town getting almost destroyed again by her enemies. Sari could feel her eyes glowing with anger.

"Sari calmed down please," Optimus said over the radio.

"I can't Optimus, I'm upset, this my home and all the Decepticons are doing is destroying it," Sari snapped.

"This is our home too, Sari and we're upset also so you're not the only one," Optimus said in a calm voice

"Sorry Optimus, I shouldn't have snapped," Sari apologized and went quiet.

"What a nice speech, Prime," snickered a familiar voice.

"Starscream," Lunar growled.

"Honestly I thought I was gonna puke of what you said" a femme or as in Scatter Dust mocked.

"Decepticons: Superior Autobots: Inferior," Soundwave said in his usually monotone voice.

Megatron grinned evily. All the Decepticons were there along with the Predacon, but amongst the group they were missing one. Shadow.

The Autobots transformed glaring at the cons.

"Well, well. If it isn't Optimus Prime?" Megatron jeered. "What a surprise to see you here"

"You're the one who escaped Megatron," Optimus had his battle mask on, "you're going back to prison."

He laughed gleefully

"You can try and take me down, puny Autobot! Decepticons! Attack!"

Sari was ready to attack but Snowstorm stopped her.

"Stay back, Sari", she ordered before drawing her swords.

Sari could see the worryness in the white femme's optics. Snowstorm didn't want her to get hurt, since Sari still had human in her. One blow and Sari was dead.

Sari nodded, she ran off to go somewhere to hide to let the Autobots and Decepticons fight.

efore Optimus could charge at Megatron, a large silver wing smacked into him and went him flying back a few feet.

The Autobots cringed at Optimus pain.

"Optimus you okay?!" called Bumblebee.

"No I'm not Bumblebee, a wing smack me!" Optimus said in irritated tone.

The Autobots looked to see a familiar cybertronian or rather, the predacon. The predacon growled deeply glaring at the team.

"I wasn't expecting to see the predacon again," muttered Ramblaster.

The beast's mouth stretched into what looked like an evil grin before spreading its massive wings.

Before any of the Autobots could blink, wires and metal were heard transforming. The predacon was no longer a beast it was a femme.

"Holy Primus!" Bumblebee yelped

"That's.........one big Cybertronian".

"I feel small," Faë whimpered

The predacon who was now a femme in bot mode, was taller then Lugnut and she still had the same colors.

The femme's square jaw twisted into a wide, WICKED grin

"Surprise, Autobots!" She laughed evilly.

Shifter smirked

"Meet Sharpfang Autobots now get ready."

Optimus groaned in pain trying to get up but finally did so.

A large blue servo grabbed him and he was forced to look into Sharpfang's optics

"Give Sentinel my greetings", she hissed before attempting to claw at his spark chamber.

But Optimus smacked her with his ax and was finally dropped.

"Not even my time yet," Optimus said, "I'll stay online to protect my friends and the humans of Earth until i go offlined, but not now."

But he got a grin in return

"So you have honor, huh? I like that", was all she said before charging, the ground shaking violently from her steps.

"Optimus! Run!" Ratchet yelled.

But Optimus didn't listen, he went charging at Sharpfang.

"Oh he's a goner," Wheelfire groaned.

Sharpfang raised her fist and it struck Optimus, sending him flying into a pile of rubble.

"He should have run," Silver Crusher facepalmed

"Hey! You sissy bots gonna stand there or you gonna fight," Avalanche pounded his fists

Hardknocks glared at the smokey grey con.

"Oh we're gonna fight, just to kick your afts!" He said and

Just then a fight broke out between Autobots and the Decepticons.

While the Autobots and The Decepticon were at each others throats. Optimus wasn't having a great time. He was threw into another rumbles.

Optimus tried to get up but a ped slammed him back down.

"Going somewhere, Prime?" Sharpfang hissed.

Optimus groaned in pain, but he tried to get the predafemme's red off him, but with her size he was stuck and wasn't going anywhere.

"Now", Sharpfang smiled but not just any smile

It was twisted and filled with malice

"Let's get this show on the road".

Before the predafemme could throw more punches or make any damage. She stopped and sniffed, her snout was in the air sniffing something that caught her attention.

She went into beast mode and kept sniffing, edging away from Optimus in the process.

"Sharpfang aren't you gonna finish him off?" Megatron asked.

A metallic scent hit her nostrils and her silver pupils dilated

Blood.

Optimus tensed up, even though he was injured but he did not like the body message on Sharpfang and somehow he knew who was injured.

"Sari," Optimus managed to say. She was injured somewhere and the predacon had her scent.

Sharpfang prowled to where the scent was.

Optimus tried to get up but Snowstorm who got done pounding Zoë stopped him.

"Stay down", she whispered soothingly.

"Not when Sari is injured," Optimus replied.

She glared at him

"You are injured", she snapped. "AND in you're in no condition to fight"

She had a point, the predafemme did good on him and he was no good in condition to go and save Sari. He watch Sharpfang follow Sari's blood then he looked at Snowstorm.

"You go . Go and rescue Sari," Optimus ordered.

"My pleasure", she replied.

Optimus watch her transformed to her alt mode and went after Sharpfang and saved Sari.

Sari was in an abandoned building hiding from fight. She could hear the shouts and yells from her friends, she hated this, hating that she was not allowed to fight and help her commardes to stop the decepticons and the predacon. Sari was pacing back and forth trying to think on how to help them.

Come on Sari think! Think of a way to help your friends. Sari thought.

While Sari was pacing, she could have sworn shadows were watching her every move, it creeped her out.

"Show yourself whoever you are!" Sari demanded after she stopped pacing.

"Well aren't you a brat," a voice growled and belong to a mech

Just then a shadow emerged revealing to be A cybertronian mech that was black with red detailing red faceplate and red optics. He was giving a death glare to Sari.

Sari remembered this mech, he was the one present when the Decepticons escaped prison. What was his name again? Shadow! That was his name!

Shadow brought out his ax or as it was called a double ax and pointed.

"I had a good feeling, you be alone cause your friends didn't want you to fight and that you run here," Shadow growled, "cause guess what? I'm going to kill you."

Sari got an Allspark orb out, glaring

"I'd like to see you try."

Shadow swung his ax at Sari, but Sari dodge and threw an allspark at him directly at his face but his ax became a shield protecting his face. When he showed his face again, Sari could've sworn his optics weren't decepticon red, they were solid black.

Maybe its a mood change. Said thought, she probably have to ask her friends later.

Shadow slashed his ax directly onto Sari's arm making a large cut.

Sari screamed in pain and clutched her arm, she felt something wet seeping. Sari shakingly looked at her hand to see it cover blood and energon, her eyes widen in horror.

Shadow smirked evilly

"So the Autobot pet DOES bleed?" He mused.

Sari gave a hateful glare, Sari tried to get up but collapsed since she was losing blood she even felt hot and cold at the same time.

Shadow grinned evilly bringing his ax up

"Well, I guess you're no fun daughter of Primus, time to end you."

The sound of a feral like growl was heard behind him.

Shadow turned to see a familiar dragon growling

"What do you want Sharpfang?" He asked bored.

Her gaze was fixed on Sari and she got in a crouching position.

The mech grinned

"If you want to finish her then go ahead, I'll leave it too you,"

He left leaving the predafemme and Sari wounded.

Sari felt a weird twinge in her left arm making Sari think her arm went numb from the cut.

Sharpfang advanced towards her, snarling.

Sari tried to ignore the weird sensation in her left arm while trying to summon an allspark orb, but with her being injured, she was weak.

The Predafemme was now towering over, her optics full of bloodlust.

Primus protect me, Sari prayed.

Sharpfang growled and launched at Sari, jaws open.

Sari quickly put her arms over her despite her pain to protect her, though she was goner.

But she didn't feel any jaws close around her.

Sari felt something heavy on her left arm, Sari open her optics to see a shield strapped on her wrist and it was the color of her allspark spheres.

Whoa! This is new! Sari looked at in amazement then looked at Sharpfang who was hunched still having the bloodlust in her optics and was growling at the shield.

Sharpfang attempted to lunge and lock her jaws around around the shield to try and rip it away from Sari.

But Sari swung the shield hitting directly into Sharpfang's jaw.

This shield is awesome, but I'm gonna get mauled for that Sari thought

Sharpfang growled in anger at Sari for hitting her with the shield.

Okay where's backup when you need it? Sari thought.

As Sharpfang attempted to lunge again, she reared up and roared in agony as pain shot through her tail.

"Got ya now", a familiar femme voice said.

Sari looked up weakly to see Snowstorm  having her wheel led on Sharpfang's tail glaring.

Sharpfang growled trying to attack Snowstorm but forgetting that her tail was pined.

She brought her sword out and slashed Sharpfang's wing.

That made Sharpfang more angry. She was attacked both Sari and Snowstorm, but a  whistle was heard by Shifter. Sharpfang growled but whacked Snowstorm in the faceplate making Snowstorm  take her wheel ped off her tail and ran out of the building leaving Sari and Snowstorm.

"Are you alright Sari?" Snowstorm asked.

Sari shaked her head weakly showing her blood covered arm where Shadow slashed her.

"Damn", she cursed, picking Sari up in her servos.

"Sari!" Bumblebee ran over to her while Bulkhead and Ramblaster were helping Optimus.

Ratchet quickly came over to Sari and looked at her wound.

"Alright who did this!?" Bumblebee demanded.

"Shadow, he attacked me when I was alone," Sari muttered but everybody heard her

Ratchet studied the wound more then looked at Sari

"Its gonna have to be stitch once I clean it up, but you will be commissioned for awhile, meaning you won't be able to fight," he explained.

Sari nodded not arguing

Bumblebee growled in anger that someone had to hurt his best friend.

"Sari where did you get the shield?" Lunar asked pointing to the shield that was around Sari's wrist.

Sari was about to explained, but Ratchet stopped her.

"She'll explain later", the medic stated.

The others nodded, knowing if they stayed around to much Sari would bleed to death. The others left going back to base.

Once they were gone, Shadow was on a top of a building scowling optics black instead of red. The brat was still alive instead of dead, but he knew there was always a next time. Shadow leapt off the building to go to back to the cons.

A/N And that concludes that chapter, the next one will be called Through a beast's optics. If anybody is wondering about the black optics that Shadow has, it will be explained in the future chapters, but anyways happy new years guys.
