When I go around the corner I see him. He grabs his soda can, squeezes it completely and throws it hard against the wall. Then he walks out of the school property. I don't care where he goes.

I feel my heart pounding quickly. 

Wow, what just happened. I saw it happen for the second time. The image of his eyes changing and teeth growing flashes through my head. I can no longer ignore it and pretend it isn't real.

When the bell rings I walk into class. I go sit next to Jade but we don't talk to each other.
It's a biology class about the nerve system. I already know this so don't really pay attention.

His words repeat themselves in my head.

Perhaps you're some shady, manipulative, hypocritical creature.

He thinks that it's an act. That I'm pretending not to know what I am. He said I'm going to take care of their death. Does he think I will kill them? That I'm some kind of monster? How can he think that? I have not given him a reason for that, right? What the hell I don't look intimidating at all.

"Your conversation didn't go well, ha?" Jade asks after 25 minutes.

"That's right," I say.

"Oh," she nods and notices that I don't want to talk about it. "Do I have to beat him up, just say the word, and I will. And if you want to talk about it I'll be here." She says kindly.

She's not going to force me to tell her and thats what I like about her.

''Thanks,'' I say with a smile.

After this class, we are done. When I stand up I notice that my tape is looser. I'm going to see Dr. Hellen. 

Once I'm there, she comes directly to me. I hadn't paid much attention to it, but my ankle hurts much less than it did this morning. 

"Gosh, I can see why it's so loose. The swelling is almost gone. You usually only notice the difference after a few weeks." Dr. Hellen says and looks at my ankle in disbelieve while she takes the tape off.

"Really?" This is unbelievable. Maybe I can dance again? Well, it won't take 6 to 8 weeks anymore. What Jason did really helped.

"Yes, it isn't as bad as we thought." She looks stunned. "This should not be possible." 

I can explain it to her. Uhm yes, a boy who can turn into a wolf has just grabbed my ankle and healed it. I'm sure she will understand.

She looks up at me. ''There is a dancing angel on your shoulder,'' she laughs hard at her own joke.

Yeah, something like that.

When she is done I go home again. I decide to take the bus now.

When I get home Grace and Agus are sitting on the bench in the front garden.

"Heeyy," Grace shouts when she sees me walking.

"Hey," I replay and wave at them.

"I heard about your accident. How's your ankle?" Agus asks and looks at my ankle.

"Oh it's better, the swelling has already decreased and it hurts less." Grace and Agus both look surprised. I try not to appear suspicious, but I don't lie well.

"Doctor Hellen thought it was strange, apparently it was less bad than she expected," I explain and grab my English book from my bag.

"That's amazing," Grace says cheerfully.

I nod and look up again. Grace just looks at me cheerfully while Agus looks at my ankle with a raised eyebrow.

Agus is a personal trainer, he is super big and muscular and he has an aggressive look. If he hadn't been friends with my sister, I probably would be really scared of him. When you get to know him, you find out he's kind of friendly.

I walk on to the back garden to do my homework in the hammock. I first grab my phone again to turn on music.

I stare at my book for I guess 10 seconds. I can't concentrate, thinking back to this afternoon. I don't get it. Jason is really convinced that I am something evil. Come on, I'm just Cira, nothing special.

I quickly do my homework and then search the internet. As if there would be something on it that would be true. I'm just curious. I grab my laptop and hop back and sit in the hammock. I turn off the music on my phone and turn it on my computer.

Which search term should I use?

"Magical creatures"

I press enter and a whole list of sites appears. 

Here we go. 

I press the first site. There is a very long text explaining what a magical creature is, and about heaven and hell.I'm not really looking for this, I guess. Who knows, maybe I am a demon or an angel, or what the hell he thinks I am. 

I close the site and then press the next site. This one is filled with drawings. Just like a toddler book with elves and trees with faces. I also click it away and click on the next one. That's how it goes on for the next 20 sites. I read all the pages one by one. Almost the same row of creatures appears on every site.

Centaur? What is that? I press the word to read about it. The image of a human with the lower body of a horse appears. 

No, I'm not a centaur either.

I also press on the word werewolves. A picture of a huge monster with enormous teeth covered in blood and murderous eyes appear. Below the picture is a text written about how you become a wolf and what the transformation is like. How you change and you no longer have control over what you do. I can't just assume that it's all true, right? This site is probably made by someone who is obsessed with magical creatures. I scroll through the rest of the sites. All of them have the same creatures, sometimes one more sometimes one less. The site with the whole list was the most extensive. Then I arrive at the last site. I see that I'm the first one to visit the site. The same list is on this site appear only there is one extra word, Vini. I press on it and read the text.

The Vini

There is not much information about the Vini, because they are very rare. There were only two we know of. Both women were just normal people, but they can see and hear everything that magical creatures can. That doesn't mean that they have better senses than normal humans do.They just see and hear and smell things other humans can't.

The first Vini was seen around 1550. She found out that she was not the same as her friends when she was about 10 years old. Because she saw and heard things that her friends did not. She found out when she saw a few boys transform into wolves. The boys attacked her but she found out that they couldn't hurt her. She fled with one other wolf that belonged to the pack.12 years later, they caught her. The wolf with whom she ran away was also killed.

The other Vini was seen in 1915. She didn't notice anything until she was 40. Until one day, she saw a man burn alive in the sun. People thought she was crazy because she saw things that were not there in their eyes. She was sent to a madhouse. A few years later she started a relationship with a werewolf. He explained everything to her. But from the moment it became clear what she was she always had to flee. She was murdered in a mysterious way. One day she suddenly disappeared without a trace. Her lifeless body was found after about a month. Somehow they sucked the life out of her. Because within that month her body had aged 20 years. Nobody knows exactly what happened to her.

We know what both women had a special connection with a werewolf.

As I said before, magical creatures can't kill a Vini with their own hands but they can poison them. Magical beings see Vinis as a danger because people could use her as a weapon to track them down.

I saw Jason change. Vini's can hear and see everything that magical creatures can. Jason said his family thought it was strange that I saw him change because only wolves can see each other change. I stare at my screen.

No, I can't just believe this. I could have made a site myself. I don't believe in fairies either. Well if werewolves are real what else is real?

Was he right? Am I something ''not normal''?
