My name is William Solace, I go by Will, and I am a Son of Apollo. Head of Apollo Cabin and leading battle medic and head of the infirmary at Camp Half Blood

Many might describe me as a ray of sunshine. And I heard many people say I am the perfect guy.

Little do they know I am no where near the perfect guy...

I am Female to Male transgender (FTM) I was biological sex didn't match what I truly was and identified as

Living with my mom who was a country singer and tried to keep me hidden from the spotlight decided I should go to Camp at the age of 5 in fear of monsters and paparazzi.

But at the age 5 I knew I wasn't a girl and I told my Mom I was a boy. She was accepting but that gave her more reason to send me to camp early. Knowing my needs would be provided for there she sent Chiron a letter. We cut my hair and Chiron arranged for a Satyr named Gleeson Hedge to get me. Saying good-bye I set off to my new life as William Solace

When I hit the age of 11 my mom mailed me puberty blockers and by age of 13 I was on T.

The camp provided Binders in all sizes. So those were easy to access. My siblings do not know I am trans besides Kayla and Austin. And only because I grew up with them at camp and need someone at my cabin to do my health checks

At the age of 14 during the 2nd Titan War my mom stopped mailing my T-shots. After the war I figured out she got strung out on alcohol and couldn't afford it. I haven't seen her since I was 5 and decided to visit her and that became a mistake.

She didn't want nothing to do with me and that day was the first day I met my father because when she threw me out of the house he appeared and took me back to camp in his chariot

I heard from a lot of people he was a loud mouth but that entire ride he was silent and only spoke to me when he dropped me off

"Your braver then you know" was all he said then disappeared

Unable to afford T. I was stuck at the progress I reached. Which was not bad since my voice got pretty deep within those 2 years on T and I didn't look feminine so I accepted it until I turned 18 and was able to get a job as a doctor to afford it.

So now at 15 years old. Head of infirmary and patching up campers left and right I began to wonder

Will I finally be able to complete myself

As soon as that thought of that a familiar face with dark brown eyes and black hair appears in view and I stare at him

He turns and glares at my gaze and I smile

Maybe...just maybe...

Its been a week since the Gaea war and finally things have been slowing down and I am exhausted.

Nico was here for 3 days and hasn't came back since. I see him sometimes when I take a breather but when he sees me he looks away from me and walks away

More like runs...

I run my hand through my hair and walk back in wincing taking a deep breath

I haven't left the infirmary since the war. Having to sleep in the work cots I wasn't able to take off my binder

This hurts

A hand comes on my shoulder and I jump and turn around and Austin looks at me sternly

"Go outside and join the activities" he ordered and I raised an eyebrow

"But-" and he puts his hand on my mouth 

"Someone is here to see you" he said and a smirk appeared on his face and I frown confused but sighed

"I won't be long" I said but he ignores me and I walk up front and froze seeing Nico there

He sends me a glare "you tell me not to overwork myself on my powers and yet here you are not having left for a week healing people with no break." He says to me and I raise and eyebrow

"I didn't know you cared di Angelo" I say with a small smirk and he rolls his eyes

"I don't but if you harassed me about my health I will harass you so come on we are gonna go to lunch" he said and I notice a blush on his cheeks

Such a dork

"Alright one second" I chuckle sending him a small smile and I remove my stethoscope and my doctor coat leaving me in my camp shirt and khakis shorts and sandals

I tell Austin I'll be back later and he sends Kayla a smirk for some reason and I run up to Nico wincing and the pain of my chest

He sends me a concern look "you okay Solace?" He asks and I smile brightly

"Yeah I'm fine! So where are we going?" I ask and he stuffs his hands in his pockets

"If your 14 and older you can leave camp freely as long as your back before dark or they send Hedge after you. So we are going to McDonalds....whats with that look?" He asks seeing me with an amused look

"Sorry, just I heard awhile ago you like McDonalds and I didn't realize it was true" I laugh and his face turns red and elbows me

"Shut up" he mumbles I beam knowing I can make him express other emotions then gloomy boy

We reach the border of camp and he looks at me and I sigh

"Just this once" I sigh and he smirks and grabs my wrist avoiding my extended hand and I snort

So touch conscious

He closes his eyes and shadows surround us

I don't know if its because I am a son of apollo the shadows make a space around me when we do this but Nico gets surrounded by them

We appear in a shadowy area next to McDonalds and Nico lets get go but tumbles and I catch him holding his waist

He looks at me and blushes and pulls away quickly 

"L-lets go" he stuttered and I smirk a little and open the door for him and he mumbles thanks

We go up to the counter and I order a 10 piece nugget meal with a medium sprite

Nico got awkward when it was his turn and order a nugget happy meal with chocolate milk and I couldn't help but smile at the cuteness

We sit down and Nico stared at the table

"You know not to toot my own horn but I am much better looking then a table" I said with a smile and Nico snorted looking at me

"Meh your alright" he said with a smirk and I cover my heart fake offended

"I didn't agree to hang out with you for your sass di Angelo" I say and he sits up in his chair

"So why did you agree Solace?" He asked with a look of curiosity

"Because your you. And your cute. And because why wouldn't I?"  I smirk  and his cheeks flush pink

"C-cute?" He stuttered and our food arrived and I thanked the worker and looked at him

"Yep" I say with a satisfied grin on my face and he placed his happy meal box right in front of his face

"I don't think thats a way to describe me" he exclaimed and I roll my eyes eating a nugget

"Its how I see you" I say and he opens his happy meal silent and I take that as a victory

Suddenly a sharp pain hit my chest and I drop my nugget and cry out in pain and Nico head snapped up quickly

"Will?" He asked and ditched his seat kneeling in front of me

"Fuck" I slipped out clenching my chest and my vision starts getting blurry and my breathing gets uneven

"Will? Will! Will come on!" all of a sudden shadows elope us and I black out

A few hours later

I wake up in the infirmary and I set up and wince and I look around and Nico is asleep in a chair head resting on my cot holding my hand

I hear someone walk in and I look up and Kayla and Austin enter and look relieved

"You're a fucking idiot" Austin hissed but keeping his voice down looking at Nico

"You are lucky you taught Nico first aid when he was here. He was able to make it to the border of camp and was gonna carry you the rest of the way but you stopped breathing so he laid down and cut your shirt and then your binder off. Your binder cut into your skin and you started breathing.  He digged into your pocket and found your mini first aid kit and put ointment wrapped medical tape around you where it cut into your skin. When he did  that he wrapped you in his oversized jacket he wears all the time and carried you on his back and ran the rest of the way. He saved your life" Kayla said and I look down at the sleeping Nico in shock 

"He did that?" I asked quietly and Nico stirred blinking awake and he made eye contact with me and he stood up quickly

"Will!" He said and gave him a smile and he sighed in relief running his hand through his hair but then looked angry

"You fucking idiot! Your life force was slipping away! Are that fucking stupid to not remove your binder!? You're a doctor Will! You should know more than anyone the dangers of wearing one for more than 12 hours!" He screamed at me and I look down

I hear him sigh and he threw his arms around me shocking me

"You owe me McDonalds" he mumbles making me laugh and I hug him back

"Deal" I say and he pulls away from me, Austin and Kayla were standing awkwardly to the side

"I'll let you two do his check up." He said and looked back at me

"I'll be back later Solace" he says softly and walks out and when he was out of earshot Austin wolf whistled

"Guess he feels the same way" he smirks  and I roll my eyes

"He is just my friend" I say with sad tone and Kayla scoffed as she unties the top of my hospital gown pulling it down and I looked down and noticed the bandages wrapped under my breasts

Austin grabbed the medical scissors handing them to Kayla and she cut the bandages and smiled

"Nico did great. They are almost healed and no infection. You should have him down here more as an assistant then maybe once he got better he could work here" She said and I smiled a little

So he did listen to me when I explained to him

"Hopefully he will want to stick around me" I mumble and Austin slapped my head and I glare at him as Kayla bandaged me up again

"That boy over exhausted himself getting you back almost falling through the door and I saw him first so I took you to the private room and Kayla ran in and Nico ran in last closing the door and explained everything and Kayla made him sit down while I looked you over and when I said you were gonna be okay the look of relief that washed on his face was just wow. And he sat in that chair next to you for 3 hours not moving until he fell asleep. If you think he isnt gonna stay around you are more stupid than we thought" Austin said and I take a deep breath

He cares...

"You're right" I said and Austin smiled and he tied the back of my gown up as Kayla put the supplies up

"I know I am" he said and their was a knock on the door

"Who is it?" Kayla called glancing at me

"Nico" said the familiar voice and Austin send Kayla a grin and she giggles going to open the door

He comes in with two plates and seeing Kayla and Austin he looked awkward around them

"Uh is it okay I am here" he asks quietly and Austin smiled at him

"Its fine man. You have every right" he chuckles and sends Kayla a look

"Um we are gonna check on patients. Uh Nico he isn't allowed to get up unless he is going to the bathroom" and she points to the other door connected to the room

"Wait for how long?" I ask and they share a look and Kayla smirks

"3 days" she says and Nico coughs and I look at him and he is trying to hide his smile behind his fist

"Haha" I deadpan and he smirks at me

"Nico is in charge" Austin says and they walk out and when the leave Nico laughs

"Hear that? I'm in charge" he smirks and I roll my eyes

"What did ya bring?" I ask and he places a plate of food in front of me

"Chicken breast with mash potatoes and green beans" he said and his plate had the same thing but smaller portions

"Yum" I said and he snorts sitting in the chair and places his plate on the side next to me using the cot as a table

We eat in silence and my heart is pounding

"Nico?" I ask quietly snd he looks up at me

"You okay" he asks as the look of worry flashes over his face

"We are okay right?" I ask and the worry turns to confusion

"What do you mean?" He asks and I sigh

"About me being...trans?" I ask and he places his fork down and crosses his arms

"Will. The last thing on my mind when I wrapped you in that bandage was your Gender. It wasnt until I knew you were safe that I thought about what happened. I could care less if your girl, boy, or a giraffe" He said and I snort at the last part 

"Thanks" I said and he sighs and looks at me

"Did that actually worry you? About what I thought?" He asked and I shrug

"A little. You mean a lot to me di Angelo" I said and his cheeks turned bright pink

"Well, you mean a lot to me Solace" he mumbled and I chuckled

"What was that? Didn't quite catch that." I say smirking and shoots me a small glare but was fighting back his smile

"I am not repeating myself"

"Oh come on I think you said something sweet"

"Solace!"

Sooooo I decided to write a book

I need to stop starting new books I only have finished one book and I am giving that a sequel lol
