My 3rd day was finally up here in the infirmary. Nico was here every day

He arrived a little bit after breakfast bringing me a plate and stayed till lunch left and came back with lunch for me and stayed the whole time till dinner and same thing there then stayed till Austin told him the Harpies would be out soon then which he booked it to his cabin

When he was he here we just talked and I noticed he was still that hyper 10 year old I met 4 to 5 years ago

Nico and I hung out only for a little bit when he first got here I am not sure he remembered but he ran up to me when I was tossing the volleyball with Travis and Conner asking if he could join

Then a little after he showed me about mythomagic and talked about his sister then asked me a ton of questions about my life as a demigod

Then when he disappeared word his about his sister and who his father was and I felt bad for him but annoyed at some campers who made comments about his Dad

Actually I snapped at one Ares kid big time about it and that was the first time I seen him cower in fear

When I saw him again at the battle of manhattan I almost didn't believe it was him. But when he came in with his Dad and I saw him smile just a little I knew

I was he sad disappeared again only showing up when the camp needed help

But we all noticed a bunch of new campers slowly join every night and Satyrs don't travel that fast it be a week or more before they arrive

1 year and half ago

Then one day it was a late shift and Apollo campers get pardoned by Harpies if they work infirmary at night, but I was walking up to the big house and I see Nico running up there with a kid on his back and I hid a little

He puts her down gently and kneeling in front of her to tell her something and she hugs him and he seemed surprised by the hug but returned it. Then he stood up putting her on his waist and knocked on the door and Chiron opened it and didn't seem surprised and smiled at the two

I snuck closer to hear their conversation

"How do find them so soon" Chiron asked with a curious look

"Demigod life forces feel different than a regular mortal. It's hard to explain. But as sad as it is a lot of them were living on the streets. Abandoned" he said and I look at the little girl and she fell asleep her head rested on his shoulder

"How old is she?" Chiron asked Nico with a worried look

"6. She was hiding in a box with a frying pan saying monsters were after her. Kinda reminds me of Annabeths story. I don't think she is Athena Cabin though she gives off an aura like Will Solace" he said and I tensed hearing my name

I honestly didn't know he knew my name. I never did tell him that one time

"Most likely Apollo. Nico Hephaestus Cabin did Build Hades Cabin. You are welcomed here" Chiron said to him softly 

Nico sighed "I appreciate it Chiron. But...I don't feel welcomed except by you. Maybe kids from Apollo Cabin which is surprising by the way. I know Percy wants me here he worries a lot. But I don't feel like I belong. I rather help other demigods come here so they can be safe" he said adjusting the girl on his hip

"I won't stop you but one day. I feel like you'll find your purpose here. Let me take her for you and take her to the infirmary. Head inside the big house and rest you can leave when you wake" Chiron said and Nico handed her to Chiron and went inside

Chiron waited a second then chuckles "Will" he called and I flinch

I come out of hiding with a guilty look and he just laughs lightly

"You're not in trouble son. Just take her and make sure she is alright. She is probably another sister of yours." He chuckles and I smile and take her holding her sleepy self close

"Is Nico bringing all the new campers?" I ask quietly and he nods

"Out of the blue he started showing up with demigods a lot of them young very few were 13. All of them were on the streets and from different parts of the U.S. he said he wanted them safe since they would be harder to track down for the Satyrs" Chiron explained and I smile

"He has the biggest heart out of all of us" I whisper and Chiron looks at me with an amused smile

"He does. Anyways head back over to the infirmary" He says and I ran back

By the way she was my sister and she was the sweetest thing ever

Little memory over

"William Solace" someone whispers in my ear and I jump and turn see Nico and he snickers

"I walk in and you were staring at the wall with a far off look. Day dreaming?" He asked

"More just thinking of a something " I say with a laugh and Kayla walks in and smiles at Nico

"I can never beat you here" She laughs and he shrugs but offers her a small smile

"Okay Will you're discharged but No Binder or physical doting labor for 2 weeks" she said placing a pair of my jeans, a camp shirt, boxers and a sports bra on the bed

I sigh sadly looking at the sports bra and I see Nico give me a look

"I'll let you get dressed Will I'll be outside the door okay?" Nico said and I give a smile and he and Kayla leave and let me get dressed

I look in the mirror and cringe at myself

I never been self conscious about my looks only my body and when I had my binder and looked in the mirror I was happy I looked like a guy but now I don't

My chest is small but sadly it grew a bit then I though so even in this big shirt and sports bra you can tell

"I didn't realize I grew ughhh" I say but sigh

"Oh well I guess" I mumble and take a deep breath

I walk out and Nico looks up leaning against the wall

"Hey, you ready?" He asks calmly and I tilt my head

"What are we doing?" I ask and he snorts

"You owe me McDonalds" He teases and I laugh

"Okay di Angelo let me go to my cabin and get in my safe" I say and as I walk away he grabs my wrist

"I was joking about that. We can still go but you don't have to pay" he said and I raise an eyebrow

"No I want to please" I say and he sighs letting go

"Can I come with? I never seen the inside of your cabin" he says and I laugh

"Yea come on" I say and we walk out and my dysphoria settled in

My stomach started turning as campers walked by and I notice some campers give me weird looks and I cross my arms over my chest and Nico glances at me

He starts walking in front me and I smile lightly

You are so sweet

"Nico!" We hear and we look and see Jason and Percy running over and I froze and Nico stops in front me blocking me from the neck down

"What do you want?" he asks them and they stop in front of us

"Oh come on we haven't seen you for 3 days! Where have you been?" Percy smiled and I laugh

"My fault. I got hurt and had to be bed ridden and Nico was paying me back when I made him stay in the infirmary" I spoke and thats when they noticed me

"Your Will! Dude epic moves on the battle field as a medic. You were awesome!" Jason said and put his hand out and I hesitate and Nico glanced at me and I smiled and nodded and he moved and I uncrossed my chest and shook his hand

"Me? You both fight like beast" I say and Percy shakes his head

"You saved Annabeth. I seen you first hand no wonder you're head of the infirmary" Percy complimented and I shake my head

"Thanks" I say and Jason looked at me and I looked away getting uncomfortable again

Percy can be dense but Jason isn't as dense as he is I learned that.

Nico noticed this and separated us

"We are busy at the moment" Nico said and Percy and Jason shared a look

"So he is your type?" Percy asked and Nico jumps on his tip toes to cover Percy mouth

"Can you drop that" he pleads and I laugh and Jason shaked his head

"Percy leave him be" he said and grabbed the back of his shirt and drags him to where I see Annabeth waiting

Nico turn to me and his face was red and his hair covered his eyes and I smirk

"What was that about?" I tease and he stuffs his hand in his pocket shaking his hair so it covered his eyes

"Nothing" he mumbles and I decide to let him be

"Come on" I say and we finish walk to my cabin and when we walk in Nico gets tackled

"Nico!" My little sister yells and he looks down at her and laughs

"Hi Ava. So you did end up as an Apollo kid" he muses and my siblings that were in my cabin looked surprise at what was happening

"Yep! Why haven't you visited?" She frowns and Nico patted her head

"I got busy. I'll visit you more though." He promised and she looked happy about that

"Are you friends with Will?" She asks and Nico nodded and she turned to me with a pout

"And you didnt tell me?" The 7 year old pouted and I chuckled kneeling down

"My bad Ava, we just started getting close but you'll see him more okay?" I smiled at her and she nodded

"Ava come on" I hear my slightly younger brother calls and she runs over to him

Nico had a smile on his face seeing her run off "she is adorable" he mumbles and I nod

"She is the youngest Apollo kid so she has us all wrapped around her finger" I say walking to the back of the cabin

Every cabin has one big room where the head councilor sleeps. It is just a customary and the only thing I didn't object to

I kneel down to reach under my bed and Nico walks in the room

"Wow this is nice" he said and I snort pulling my safe and enter the combo and open it and it was filled with envelopes that had money

I grab one opening it and pull at 40 bucks and put it in my pocket and put the money back

And put the safe under my bed

"You really don't have to" he said and I give him a look

"Why are you so against me buying us food?" I ask snd he sighs

"You told me that money was for T-Shots and college and top surgery. I don't want you to spend it for the first time on something like McDonalds" He mumbles and I smile softly and walk up to him

"I'm not spending it on McDonalds" I said and he looked confused

I smirk and lean down and he starts blushing

"Call it a date instead" I say and kiss his forehead and he is frozen in his spot and I laugh grabbing his hand and run us out of the cabin

We got looks and this time I knew it wasn't cause of my chest it was cause...well who wouldn't stare at an Apollo kid dragging a emo looking son of hades across camp

"Will you are not suppose to be doing anything really physical!" he yells snapping out of his daze

We reach the border of camp and I laugh at him

"I'm fine Nico. Anyways I don't want you shadow traveling. Is there another way?" I ask and he thinks

"Oh, Jules Albert" he says and he turns his palms to the ground and suddenly the ground splits open and a car with a Zombie in the drivers seat appears and I just stare

"Meet my personal Chauffeur. Jules Albert. He's French" Nico smirks and I shake my head

"Hades gave you a French Zombie Chauffer?" I laugh walking up to it

"Shhhh no judgement" Nico smirks snd hops in the back seat with me

"The usual place" he says and the Zombie drives perfectly down the road

There was silence and soon Nico broke it

"A date?" He asks quietly and I look over and he is looking at his feet

"If you want it to be" I say calmly snd he hesitates

"I didn't know you were gay" He asks and I stare at him

"Pan. That doesnt bother you right?" I ask now worrying I was reading the signals wrong

"Nonono I uh....I am gay" He says with a dust of pink on his cheeks and I get hopeful

"Well then, Nico di Angelo. I would love for this to be date with you. As long as you accept it" I say and place my hand on top of his

He was silent for a second and started to move his hand and I thought he was gonna pull it away

But he moved it so our hands were interlocked instead

"Yea I would like that Will" he says looking up at me to meet my eyes and his dark eyes were golden brown again

The car honks making us jump and Albert is staring at us through the mirror and I notice we are at McDonalds

"Couldn't let me have this moment could yah?" Nico says to him and he makes a sound that sounded like a laugh then a another noise

"Do I care if Dad said that? He can meet Will another time not now" Nico said and hopped out of the car and I follow in pursuit and wave at Albert

"Thank you" I said and he grunted and his Zombie fingers held a card to me

"He said your welcome. And if you need ride when I am not around to say the words on the card and he will appear to you" Nico said with a smile and I beamed

"I appreciate it" I say and soon he sunk back in the ground

"Thats funny he doesnt like people who aren't with my father. He must be impressed by you" Nico said and I stuff the card in my pocket

"So what about your Dad?" I ask and Nico rolls his eyes

"He wants to meet you. Creepy stalker" he says but the smile on his face shows he finds it sweet. A lot of Gods don't give their kid the time of day. Nico's, actually allows him to stay and come and go as he pleases

Though it makes sense since Hades still isn't welcomed on Olympus much that he doesnt even bother listening to Zeus. The Gods and Goddesses are under Zeus eye so they have to be careful. I know Poseidon tries to talk to Percy from what I hear and my Dad could have got in huge trouble picking me up that day but I am grateful he tried it shows he does care about us

"Well I would love to meet him. He was my favorite God I learned about. We don't tell my Dad" I say and Nico busted up laughing

"Wait Hades was yours? Mine was Apollo" he grinned and I laughed

"The irony" I said and we walk into McDonalds and the cashier sighed in relief

"You okay? I was hear when you collapsed and your friend here ran you out of here" she said and I felt bad

"Oh I apollogize for scaring you. I had...uh really bad chest pains and they made me faint but I am better now" I smile and she gives a relieved look

"Good. Anyways what do you guys want?" She says and we give her our orders and pay and sat in a booth and Nico lays his head on my shoulder and I kiss his forehead

"Hey Neeks. Do you remember when you got to camp. I never told you my name but I was the blonde kid you questioned about being a demigod" I chuckle and he was silent and gasped leaning up

"That was you?" He asked mortified and for a second I thought his eyes were blue but I ignored it and I snicker

"Yep that was me. You were so cute by the way" I smirk and he covered his face with his hands and I chuckle

"I have a question though" I say and he peaks at me from his hands

"I was walking to the infirmary a year ago and saw you bring Ava to Chiron. I hid but you said she had an aura like me. You said my name. How did you know who I was?" I asked curious and he thought

"I knew who you were from the 2nd Titan War. And I may have done some research through...Percy a little to see who you were. I wasn't crushing on you then but I was curious because I didn't know we had a battle medic" he said and I listened kinda intrigued

"When did you start liking me?" I ask and he looked down at the table

"The Gaea war. I was in awe at your bravery and as I got to know you my feelings grew" He mumbles and I smile brightly

"Too bright" he joked and I roll my eyes playfully

"You're not even looking at me how is it to bright" I say and tilt his chin so he was looking at me and his golden brown eyes now were hazel

"Do you know your eyes change color?" I ask and they turn back to golden brown

"What do you mean?" He asked confused

"With your emotions. I been noticing. You usual grumpy self they are dark brown. When your happy they are golden brown. When your angry or depressed they're black. Just a second ago they turned hazel but now they are golden brown again" I say and he blushed

"That. Heh. Yea those are thanks to Hades. Genetically speaking Hades children have the tendency of becoming insane. Um and it's hard to tell their true emotions so he made it to where our eyes change color with our emotions. My natural eye color is golden brown. But it has been dark brown for awhile" He tells me and I smirk

"Is that why you hide your eyes behind your hair?" I ask moving his bangs so I can get a good look at his eyes

"Yeah." He laughs a bit and our food arrives

"You guys are really cute" she whispers and runs back to the register and I laugh and Nico tensed for a sec but relaxed and leaned on me

"It's so different in this time" he says and that reminded me of something

"Are you really from the 1930's?" I ask and he laughs taking a bite of one of my chicken nuggets

"Yep" he clarified and I snort shaking my head

"That must have been rough when you found out you liked guys" I said and his eye color flickered to dark brown before lightening back up

"A little. I was very conflicted. My mom never cared she loved everyone. But I hear other people slur and once throw a bunch of stones at a gay couple. So I was little scared. At first" he said and I sadden. I can only imagine when it was like back then

"So what made you less scared?" I ask and he smiles

"I was in down town New York City and there was a parade and rainbow colors and I stopped these two women asking what was going on. And they explained it was a pride parade. They saw my confused look and told me what it was about and I was amazed. They gave me pride pin when I mentioned I was gay and told me welcome to the club and kissed her girlfriend. If you ever look at my converse the pin is on them" he said and he seemed happy about that memory

"That seems like a good experience I always wanted to go to one of those" I say and Nico looks at me

"Your pansexual right?" He asked and I nodded and he thought about something

"I want to get you something when we're done" he said and I gave him a curious look but he kept his mouth shut

We finished eating and I gave the cashier 5 bucks as a little tip and she seemed surprised but waved us bye

"Its not a far a walk" he said he looked at my hand and I rolled my eyes grabbing his hand

"We are dating you don't have to hesitate to hold my hand" I smile at him and his eye color flickers to hazel but back to golden brown

"Right." He mumbles and I chuckle as we walk down the street

I look around aimlessly havent seen much outside of camp and see we stop in front of a store and the sign says Hot Topic

"Isn't this where emo kids go?" I tease just o mess with him and he rolls his eyes

"Shut it" he says with a smile and we walk in and its playing some rock music and the worker greets us

"Can I help you guys?" He asks and Nico shakes his head and takes me a an area and I see a bunch of pins

"They have pride pins and I want to get you one" He says and my heart stutter

"Aw aren't you sweet" I say and shakes his head

We start looking through the bowls and I found a bunch of bi/rainbow pins

I found a trans pin and hesitated and Nico glanced at it "you can get that one" he said softly and I shake my head

"I'm good, hey look a pan pin" I say changing the subject picking to up and Nico smiles a little 

Nico got a piercing and another shirt and we walk out

"Since when do you have piercings?" I ask and he tucks his hair behind his ear and I see a black earring

"Oh. Hot" I comment and he laughs all of a sudden an explosion goes off and we stop and hear a roar
