The bluenette quickly grabbed her dagger from under her pillow,and the bow,then unzipped her tent's door and went with her phone's flashlight to examine the perimeter.
The sound could easily be just a simple forest critter.
However...
It proved to be Haytham,squatting and eating some raspberries.

Raven:*sighs*Oh,it's just you.
Hay:Not very pleased to see me,I see.
Raven:Should I be?
Hay:Usually,girls get along with their lover's mothers better than with their fathers,I guess.
Raven:*rolls eyes*Guess I'll tell you how well I get along with Ziio,when we both die.
Hay:*chuckles*Raspberry?
Raven:Sure.
Hay:What got you here?
Raven:You were being too loud,and I couldn't sleep.
Hay:Something worrying you?
Raven:*smirks*Except for my lover's Templar father?
Hay:Fair point.
Raven:*nods*Haven't eaten raspberries this good in a while.
Hay:I guess they're quite good indeed.
Raven:What brings YOU here?
Hay:Survival instinct.
Raven:You didn't happen to meet Charles Lee or Washington around,did you?
Hay:Should I have?
Raven:I don't know.Guess I'm just concerned.
Hay:About Connor?
Raven:He's...very naïve,to say it nicely.He gets in trouble for being silly.
Hay:Who does he take after?
Raven:Hell if I know.
Hay:You get to play mummy dearest,then.
Raven:*snorts*Oh,please,that's just silly.Not my thing.
Hay:So what about Charlie?
Raven:Connor wants to kill him.
Hay:*chuckles*Keep on dreaming,kiddo.
Raven:It'll be VERY bad if he's here.
Hay:Suppose that's true.

Then,another rustle was heard from behind them.
They readied their weapons accordingly,prepared to shoot the attacker...
Attacker that proved to be,this time,a whole crew of Red Coats.

Raven:Oh fuck.
Hay:I see your journey went well.
Raven:...What?
Charles:Yes,indeed.Is this the bait?
Hay:Quite the beauty,don't you think?
Raven: W H A T ? !
Charles:Oh,shut your bloody mouth,and follow us.
Raven:Why would I even?
Charles:Then I'll make sure to shut your mouth for you.

Just then,one of the red coats swung his sword at her,which she blocked with her bow,that snapped in two at the impact.
The girl felt absolutely helpless and terrified,but she still had to fight.
And fight she did,until Haytham got tired by it,and went behind her,choking her with his arm.
She kicked and wailed in mid-air,gasping for air and help,but it was all in vain.
The eternal darkness took over her,and she fell limp in the arms of a traitor.

The next day,everyone gathered around,appointing a task to each one present.
Kim and the twins were to bring water from the river,Ezio and Malik were to prepare the food and Connor and Altair had to go get fire wood.

Poor Evie had to carry the water herself,because Kim and Jacob were fooling around,playing in the water.
Altair and Connor were gathering wood in the forest,until Altair noticed a particular clue on the ground.
A snapped bow,that had 'R A V E N' carved in it.

Altair:Connor,I suggest you come here and see this.
Connor:What is it?
Altair:Track it down immediately.
Connor:Wait,that is...?
Altair:It is.
Connor:Then she was kidnapped?By who?
Altair:That,I do not know,but we have to tell the others soon,and begin the search.I hope you,modern assassins,haven't forgotten the art of tracking down a person.
Connor:No one can beat me to it.
Altair:*smirks*We shall see.

Back to the camp,the atmosphere was cheerful,until Kim suddenly sighed.

Kim:Is Raven sick or something?She is never sleeping in this much,especially compared to me.Or did she leave while we were getting water?
Ezio:No,I haven't seen her.Is she still sleeping,with all the ruckus?
Altair:She is gone.Taken.
Kim:Nani the fuck?
Ezio:But who could kidnap her under our noses?
Kim:I think I have an idea...
Connor:Haytham.
Kim:And maybe Charles Lee?
Connor:He's here?
Kim:If Raven got kidnapped,then most likely.
Connor:Damn...We must find her immediately.
Kim:We have to,and we will!

They went in pair through the forest,trying to track down the missing her,until they heard an echoing scream,and following it,got to a nice,green clearing,and a waterfall
And on top of this mountain,there was the missing girl.
Before anyone managed to get ahold of themselves,the girl from the top of the waterfall got kicked in the gut,after she managed to kill 2 of the red coats with her dagger,then got blindfolded and her hands tied together.
She managed to land a kick at Charles' shin,but that only infuriated him worse.
With a sick grin,the villain pushed the girl from the edge of the waterfall,letting her scream in shock as she free-fell.
"Charles Lee sends his regards" he said,as he turned away,leading his army to a safer place.

As the girl fell to her possible death,her paramour kept running and running,then getting to the water,he did a tricky parkour jump on the slippery rocks,and tackled the girl,falling together into the freezing cold water.

He held her tight,as she was blindly panicking in his grasp,as he swam back to the surface.
Gasping for air,he held the bluenette with one arm,as he used the other to slash away the cloths restricting her movement and sight.
As soon as she saw him,she threw her arms around his neck,and her legs around his torso,hugging him as tight as possible,still fearful of her surroundings.

Connor got them both out of the water,then walked back to the camp,where the rest were waiting anxiously.
He sat Raven down,by the tree next to the fire,and Kim got them both warmed up fluffy towels.

Kim:What happened?How did this happen?
Raven:S-So...cold...

The younger girl went in front of her friend and crouched down to her level,then took her face in her hands,trying to calm her shivering form down.

Kim:You are safe now,everything will be okay.You don't have to tell us what happened yet,just get dry and warm.We are all going to make sure you're okay.

She then got another towel and started drying friend's hair,as she was still shaken up from the whole ordeal.
She was so shaken up,that she couldn't speak coherently.

Or at least,that's what they thought.
In her mind,she was already creating a battle strategy,to take down the damned Charles Lee and make sure what happened to her,won't happen to the others.
Trusting Haytham was the greatest mistake she made.
That wasn't even trust,just casual talk.
But at least,the group didn't have to suffer itself.

Over the course of the day,Connor was slowly building up his rage,and as night striked,he got ready to raise and go pursue his greatest enemy,that not only killed his mother when burning his village,but also harmed his beloved.
He had to pay.
Now.

Being the only ones still outside,he tried to get up,but the bluenette threw herself at him,halting him in place,and also stunning him.Her pleading eyes were melting him.

Raven:Don't go...!N-Not now...!Don't leave me alone!
Connor:Kangee...I cannot let this matter alone.He hurt you!
Raven:I don't care about that now!Just...don't leave me...not now...not again...
Connor:He must be stopped!
Raven:But why tonight?Can't he just wait the night?I need you,Connor...don't leave me when I need you the most!
Connor:I know,but with every second he's getting his army bigger and bigger.Soon,we won't be able to-
Raven:We are not in Colonial America anymore ,Connor!The only red coats that came with him are his army.There can't be a raise in their number.Especially if WE kill them.
Connor:You saw their number?
Raven:More than only one person could manage.
Connor:You are no fighter,Kangee.You are a healer.I'm sure a skilled assassin alone could-
Raven:I killed two of them up there,with my dagger.But they were many.Many more.I'm telling you,Connor,be patient.No need to be reckless or silly!
Connor:I'm not reckless or silly,what do you mean?
Raven:You got in prison because of your naïvity,what do YOU mean?
Connor:It was one time!
Raven:*sighs*Just tonight.Promise me,you'll stay here with me.

With a defeated sigh,he sat down next to the girl and hugged her close to him,as they stared into the camp fire.

Connor:Did they hurt you?Inflicted any sort of damage?
Raven:Well...nothing I couldn't handle.
Connor:Are you sure it's nothing bad?
Raven:I'll treat them properly tomorrow,during day time.Now please,enjoy the beauty of the night.

Contrary to her belief,when she woke up,Connor wasn't there anymore.
But nor was anyone else,it seems.
Has she slept in again?
No,that wasn't the case.
The truth was that the said male went on his own after his enemy and the others went to search for him.
Soon enough though,they returned with a tied up Haytham and strapped him to a tree.
Kim was angry enough to kick him in the gut and yell at him,until Jacob picked her up and brought her back to the fire,where her friend was reading.

Raven:Hello,Kim.I see you brought me quite the nice gift.Neatly wrapped and all that.
Kim:We're going to interrogate him soon.
Raven:Leave that to me.I have my way with word...and we have a score to settle between us.
Kim:Are you sure you know what you're doing?Don't be reckless.
Raven:*winks*You're talking to me,Kimi.
Kim:*shrugs*You know best,Senpai.

As night fell,the bluenette equipped herself and went to the Templar,crouched down,and smiled her famous poison smile.

Raven:Bonjour,monsieur.
Hay:Mademoiselle.
Raven:How are you feeling?Enjoyed the raspberries?
Hay:Actually,yes,I did.
Raven:Enjoyed choking a blue haired girl too?Or lying to her?
Hay:Anything for survival.
Raven:But what about your son's survival?
Hay:Don't tell me he left you?
Raven:He's not at the camp anymore.
Hay:Has he learnt nothing from what I did?
Raven:You're not exactly a role model.
Hay:I do what I can.
Raven:So,you're gonna help me or not?You're stuck in my time anyways.No way to return.
Hay:I don't see many changes,to be honest.
Raven:You think 250 years brought no changes?I saw your world and is nothing like what is here.Obviously a forest won't hold much technology,as it is a green spot but...y'know.You need money.And the police here is not one you can bribe.
Hay:*shrugs*Guess I'm doomed.
Raven:So will you cooperate?
Hay:Dunno.

Raven smiled,took our her phone,held it tight in her hand,then punched Haytham's fave as hard as she could,making him nosebleed.

Hay:Okay,okay,fine,you convinced me,no need for unneeded violence.
Raven:Said the one always changing sides.
Hay:It's all for the sake of survival.
Raven:And idiocy.
Hay:I'm all you have now,right?
Raven:Have you no love for your own son?
Hay:I might have.
Raven:Then prove it.And proved you actually loved his mother,just as you so claim.
Hay:Fine,Fine...you're quite the persuader.
Raven:Master manipulator.

She untied him from the tree,and she waited for him to lead the way through the forest.
The light of morn finally started to rise,as they finally arrived at the enemy camp.
There,Connor was being held hostage,tied by each arm,to a tree,weaponless and unconscious,with blood dripping from his face.
The girl clicked her tongue in annoyance and looked around trying to find the perfect strategy to save her paramour.

Hay:How did you know he would be held captive?
Raven:How did you?
Hay:I asked first.And ladies first.
Raven:Beauty after
Hay:You fancy yourself beautiful?
Raven:You said so yourself.
Hay:Ah,got me there,lassie.
Raven:He's stupid enough to go by himself against a whole armada.Sometimes,it works.But sometimes...he gets in trouble.
Hay:*chuckles*That's my son.
Raven:*scoffs*So?How shall we fare?
Hay:Are you stealthy enough to kill one of the guards?
Raven:Only if you take the other.
Hay:And then?
Raven:Where are the others?
Hay:In the cabin,I suppose.
Raven:All of them?
Hay:Who knows?
Raven:You were there,weren't you?You saw what happened to me,do you want the same to happen to your son too?
Hay:He's a man,he can take it.
Raven:Any real plan,now?
Hay:Just go with the flaw?
Raven:You think me some kind of Master Assassin?
Hay:Are you not?
Raven:*scoffs*If I were,I wouldn't have bothered with you!
Hay:Lay down the attitude,missy.
Raven:Let's just get down with this suicidal mission.
Hay:By all means.

Her eye twitched,as she climbed down the tree carefully,the swiftly hid behind the one on Connor's left,as Haytham took the one ln the right,and as the guards turned their backs at us,we quickly slashed their throats,and hid them in the bushes behind said trees.
Making sure nobody is around,the girl tip-toed to to the Native American,and crouched down,taking his face in her hands,wiping away the blood.

Connor:Kan...gee...?
Raven:Let's return back to the camp,darling.Everything will be okay now.
Hay:Enough with the mushy reunions,if it gets any brighter,they'll spot us and that's it.
Connor:What's he doing here?
Hay:Rescuing my son.
Raven:Don't start bickering here.
Connor:They took my weapons.All of them.I need them back.
Raven:What?!
Hay:I don't know if this is good news or not,but there's nobody in the cabin,but I see the weapons.
Raven:Is the door locked?
Hay:Doesn't seem so.

The girl helped Connor to his feet,seeing that he was still dizzy and hurt,and they went to get his weapons back.
Unfortunately for them,just as they left the cabin,Charles Lee's army appeared in front of them.

Charles:Well,look who we got here.
Connor:Charles Lee.
Hay:Hello again.
Charles:I see I get to kill you both.
Raven:We are 3 though...
Charles:*smirks*Not anymore.

She gasped in realization and turned around,trying to block the punch from Haytham,but that was in vain,as she fell on the ground,and Connor with her,still unstable.

Raven:Traitor!
Hay:Sorry,lass.Survival instinct.

Lucky for them,Haytham remained unarmed.
And even luckier for them,the girl smirked,seeing her plans and calculations were correct.
All the assassins,including Kim,performed perfect air assassinations,each killing a red coat and with that,creating mayhem between their ranks.

Raven took her lover's arm and guided him away from the fight,leaving the rest deal with the enemies,until she heard Charles Lee yelling for them,holding a gun.
With undying anger,he shoot at the pair,but Connor managed to turn around,shield the girl,throw his tomahawk at Lee,striking him square in the head,and killing him on the spot.
However,the Native American got shot himself,but in the shoulder.

Raven whistled at the others,telling them to retreat,and they managed to drag themselves back to the camp.
This time,it was her time to prop her lover against a tree,and tend to both their injuries.
Hers were more deep cuts and bruises on her back,awaiting tending,so they wont infect,but he held multiple bruises,a cut on his cheek,and obviously,that bullet,that stayed in his shoulder,and hopefully didn't shatter.

The girl ripped his clothes frantically,while Kim brought her the first aid kit and warm water.

Raven:Great job,Evie.You were perfectly on time.Thank you.
Evie:Maybe a bit too on time.
Raven:It went well and Charles Lee is dead.
Evie:But the casualties...
Raven:I'll take care of it.I'm a doctor.
Kim:*winks*Halfway there.
Raven:Close enough.
Kim:How come you didn't tell me first about your plan?
Raven:You'd have freaked out.
Kim:Weeelllll....trueeee...
Raven:So,I told Evie,who told Altair,who told Malik,who told Ezio,who told Jacob...who told you.
Kim:*sulks*So mean...
Raven:You lil' troublemaker.
Kim:That's me!
Raven:Can you guys leave me for now?And give me that alcohol bottle.
Kim:You're not getting drunk,are you?
Raven:No,but I have several wounds that need sterilized.So I'm just going to get my Tshirt soaked and wear it as a cape.
Kim:*bites her lip*That's gonna hurt.
Raven:*looks away*Better than nothing.Also...if Connor wakes up,I'l have to make him drunk,to manually extract the bullet.
Evie:We will leave you.Please be well.
Kim:Just tell us if you need anything.
Raven:*nods*Will do.Thank you,everyone.
Ezio:Our pleasure,bella donna.
Malik:What's life without a little risk?
Altair:Dull.
Jacob:Aye,we really needed some action.Things became too quiet around.
Raven:And Kim did her first air assassination.
Kim:Yasss!!I killed a red coat by myself!!
Raven:*winks*You did.

The others left back to their tents,leaving the girl alone with an unconscious Connor that kept muttering incoherently.
She took of her Tshirt,remaining in her bra only,then soaked it in vodka and put it on her back,hissing in pain.

Raven:*mutters*What a waste of fucking quality alcohol.

She started cleaning each of his wounds,then dressing them in the needed bandages.
As she finished bandaging his last wound,she saw him flutter his eyes open and groaning in pain.

Connor:Kangee...?Are you hurt?
Raven:I'm fine,Connor.It's you who's hurt.
Connor:Better me than you.
Raven:Better none of us,you silly boy.
Connor:I'm 26.
Raven*sighs*Thanks to your failed suicide mission,I managed to make sure Lee was killed.
Connor:*faint smile*Mission accomplished.
Raven:You got shot,Connor.We could have avoided such casualties.
Connor:Are you going to lecture a hurt man?
Raven:I would punch you so hard,if you weren't hurt already.
Connor:Lucky me~.
Raven:How can you be so easy going?You worried me to death!
Connor:I apologize.I'm just happy.
Raven:Yes,yes,you killed Lee.But Haytham escaped.
Connor:I'll get to him someday.
Raven:You don't seem driven by revenge over this.
Connor:Trust me,I am.I need to kill him.Especially after what he's done to you.
Raven:*rubs her neck*He has quite a hold...
Connor:Then I will have to choke him to death.
Raven:Connor?
Connor:Yes,Kangee?
Raven:Are you happy?
Connor:You're here,with me.I have all the reasons to be happy right in my sight.
Raven:*looks away*I thought it was because of his death?
Connor:That as well.But you will always be my reason to smile.
Raven:Even when you know that...?
Connor:Even if.
Raven:*bites lip*I...have to take out the bullet.
Connor:Go ahead then.
Raven:It's...going to hurt.A lot.
Connor:It's fine,I can take it.
Raven:Bite on this.It will prevent you from biting your tongue or something.
Connor:Uhm...I won't question or shamanism knowledge.
Raven:*pats his hair*Good boy.

She gives him her belt to bite into,as she carefully starts sterilizing his wound,making him winch and grunt in pain.
The bluenette looked at him and pity,then apologized again as she digged her own fingers in his wound,searched and quick enough found the little annoyance,and took it out,throwing it away.
After applying more alcohol and bandaging his wound,she realized that he had fainted.
Probably for the best.

For the rest of the night,she leaned on the tree,facing the ever-lasting burning fire,with his head on her lap,playing with his hair and making sure he wouldn't overbleed or have any kind of complications.
For three days and three night she tended to him,until one day,she wakes up,and he is not near her anymore,and she panics.
She panics,jolts up to her feet and looks around the camp.

She thought he went again for revenge on his father,until she hears commotion close to the camp,and goes check it out.
All the ruckus proved to be,in fact,Connor,but fighting to death with his father,and the others watching.

Raven:Okay,just what the fuck is this?Macho supremacy?
Kim:If it were,Ezio the womanizer would have won.
Ezio:Hey!
Altair:They are fighting to death.
Raven:Oh,that's just retarded.Will you guys stop this already?!That's enough!

Evie put her hand on Raven's shoulder,calming the angered girl.
The fight continued as if she didn't even appear,punching,kicking and tackling each other.
At one time,Haytham tackled Connor to the ground,choking him,which made him seem like he had the upper hand.
He got too cocky,and started saying how she should have killed his son long ago-...
Until his son used his hidden blade to stab his skull,killing him.

Raven:*slow clap*Now,your revenge is done.Great job,macho man.But I'm not treating your wounds again.
Connor:*gets up*Kangee,I have done it.Finally,my revenge is complete.
Raven:Did you punch him hard enough?
Connor:As hard as I could.
Raven:*pats his shoulder*Great job,babe.Now,if I hear you getting in trouble again,I'll disown you.
Connor:*panics*What?
Kim:*laughs*Poor boy!
Ezio:Don't tease him like that,bella!He'll believe it!
Jacob:*chuckles*Silly boy.

They all started laughing at Connor's priceless dumbfounded face,as his paramour left to the camp,waving at him.
He ran after her,trying to stop her by saying her name.

Connor:Kangee,wait up!
Raven:Yes,Connor?
Connor:My mission was a success.
Raven:Killing Haytham,you mean?
Connor:Yes.
Raven:How'd you find him?
Connor:He...found me.
Raven:Oh,the joy.And what if you didn't have the hidden blade?You'd have been lost.
Connor:But I had it,and nothing bad happened.
Raven:Except,you got hurt.Again.AFTER I treated you.
Connor:My greatest apologies,but it had to be done.
Raven:*eye twich*You piss me off so much sometimes,with your recklessness,y'know?
Connor:That was not my intention!
Raven:I'm not mad at you.I just got worried,because I know how silly you can be.
Connor:I have learnt from my mistakes.
Raven:I'm sure you have.
Connor:I mean it!
Raven:*chuckles*Haytham told me that he thinks I'm acting like your mother.
Connor:That's stupid,I don't need anyone babysitting me!I'm 26!
Raven:Exactly what I was going to say.But you know what's the difference between your mother and I taking care of you?
Connor:That we are not related?
Raven:*grins*No~.But this is-!

She punched him in the face as hard as she could,despite the significant height difference,making the man stumble and stare at the grinning girl in confusion and awe.

Connor:Kangee...?

She started throwing punches at his torso again and again,swift and fast,but the Native American dodged and parried them this time.

Raven:Don't!You!Dare!Do!That!Again!You!Jerk!
Connor:Ow,what have I done?!
Raven:You worried me!A lot!You were barely able to get up just some yesterday,and today you were in a death fight!
Connor:I said I was sorry!
Raven:Yes,I know,but I still have to vent off my rage somehow.
Connor:And now I'm your personal punching bag?!
Raven:Positive.
Connor:Maybe less malice,please?
Raven:Nope~!
Connor:You had fighting practice,or what?These punches are well aimed...and hurt.
Raven:I do what I can,my darling~!
Connor:Kangee,come on,stop fooling around!
Raven:No can do.I'm having fun~!

Sighing,he held the ghost of a smirk,as he caught her arm,spun her around,then hugged her tightly from behind,making her squeal in surprise.

Connor:Try more self-defense practice,next time.
Raven:Maybe you could teach me,then?
Connor:*chuckles*Anything you wish for,I shall comply.
Raven:I'll keep that in mind.Don't regret it later,hun~.
Connor:If it's for you,never.

That night,they drunk,cheered,sang,Raven played the guitar and joined the sing a lot with her friend and they all a nice merry night,deserving it,after having dealt with so many difficulties in the past.

And so,their mountain trip adventure ended.
