The ticking of the clock throughout the classes were enough to almost drive Bakugou crazy. Surely, he had made it in time for homeroom but he hadn't yet shared any of his findings with his classmates yet. Thus when the clock strikes eleven, nineteen students found themselves standing in the middle of Ground Beta as per usual for the traitor hunt. One could easily see the serious aura they possessed in contrast to the behaviour they have shown towards the exercise thus far.
Aizawa liked to keep the possibility of them already knowing the truth on the table in case something goes out of hand and boy did he have a feeling that things were only going to snowball from here on out (Todoroki found it suspicious that All Might still came to co-conduct the training with Aizawa today despite his secret lovechild being severely injured and bedridden, he needed to get to the bottom of that soon...)
"Unfortunately, Recovery Girl hasn't yet discharged Midoriya so you all are going to have to continue without him today. I know this puts Team Green to some disadvantage but we'll try to fill that space as we see fit." Aizawa began, "As of the third case, we follow on the traitor's movements and find that the last of his traces are reckoned to be around the 1-B dormitories. The students themselves have reported an uncanny figure lurking around at nights."
Kaminari had to physically restrain himself from blurting out, "That's just Shihai though." A small sacrifice to maintain the serious aura their class currently possessed.
"So, to put it simply, you'll be investigating the 1-B dorms today and interrogating them as well later." All Might finished and there were a thousand different ways they could see this going wrong especially when someone just stabbed to half death yesterday.
At least Bakugou had a specific person to interrogate in mind.
~O~
The 1-B dorms were void of life as all the students were currently busy with their classes. As all nineteen teenagers shuffled into the building, they immediately divided themselves into their assigned teams and begin to look around the place separately. Team Red on the first floor, Team Green on the second, Yellow on the third with Team Blue on the fourth while Team Purple was on the fifth. And if the 1-B dorms were more organized than 1-A's, you didn't need to know.
Arriving at the second floor with the rest of his team, Kirishima pondered, "Um, is it really okay to just snoop around like that? Aren't we invading someone's privacy by looking through their rooms? I don't think that's manly..."
"They looked through ours too plus we're here for just one room, Shitty Hair." Bakugou replied, unfazed as he walked ahead to the said one room they came to investigate.
Second floor, second room. The one parallel to Midoriya's.
The green haired boy was attacked when he was in his room. No one else was there before the incident. Tokoyami was in his own room and Iida came to check up on the green head a good few minutes after the attack. If no one came in and no one went out through his door, then had to be from the balcony.
The distance between two balconies on parallel dorm buildings was great in its own respect but every hero course student would be perfectly able to cross that distance with their quirks or by some other means like a rope for example. Now, the person who housed the dorm room wouldn't be an immediate suspect. After all, your classmates and friends could come and go in your dorm room freely. The teachers were also able to access any room at any time... And then there were the fingerprints of Jurota Shishida on the knife.
They had to move in accordance with all those facts.
The name plate adjusted on the wall beside the room read; Neito Monoma.
Bakugou had an immediate suspect.
Turning the knob, the ash blonde found the room to be unlocked and didn't waste any time getting in himself and dragging the other two in as well. The room itself wasn't exactly eye catching to say. It held a simple layout with a bed, a study desk, a bookshelf and a closet. Well-organized and tidy, Monoma was probably bragging on about how his room was cleaner than any of 1-A's to his class.
Kirishima could picture his words clearly, "Oh? Would you look at that? My room is tidier than those at the top of Class A! What a wild enigma! How could this happen, I presume? Weren't they supposed to be better than us, than me? Oh no, perhaps the hierarchy is finally meeting its downfall since I— Ack!" The redhead could somehow also picture Kendo hitting him hard enough that he'd loose consciousness, apologizing before dragging him away somewhere.
On the other hand, Bakugou made his way over to the windows and found them to be locked. He could see Midoriya's balcony easily from there and wondered if it could actually be Monoma who attacked him. His entire record towards Class-1-A all but yelled that it was definitely him but the ash blonde didn't want to make haste. Not when there was already a bedridden nerd on their hands.
By the study desk, putting a finger to his chin, Aoyama began, "Did I tell you about the note we found the other day, mon ami?" If his memory served right, he and Midoriya told the other two about the note the morning after the blackout.
"The one during the blackout?" Kirishima asked for confirmation to which Bakugou nodded before turning back to the blonde boy, asking, "What about it?"
"Mhm..." Aoyama hummed before presenting a new idea, "When Midoriya traced his finger behind it, he was tied between the numbers 12 and 15 along with 1-A. He also blurted out a quick 18 which he was quick to cut down. 1-A could easily had been 1-B and the way he cut down 18 makes me think if there really was an 18 or not? He might've mistaken 1-A and, par sa nature, eradicated the idea of the number being 18 entirely so we wouldn't worry about him being the next victim or raise any suspicions against him as a traitor."
All of that held a good point. Making mistakes was a part of being human and it was applicable to Midoriya all the same as it was to the others. In the haste of possibly getting the others targeted because of himself, Midoriya could have misunderstood the class.
Aoyama added further with a twinkle, "And if he did mistake 1-A for 1-B and if there really was an 18 on that note... Well, you have it in front of you then."
Neito Monoma, seat number# 18 — Class-1-B.
"Okay... Okay, let's suppose it was Monoma. Whatever the note was pointing at, it was Monoma. But what actually really troubles me here is who wrote the note? You get me? Someone tried to either rat him out or warn him but then — given by the condition of the note — decided otherwise but even then tapped the note on a door. I don't get why? Why would anyone do that? Do we protect Monoma, do we keep an eye out for him? Who— Who the hell left the note?" Kirishima asked.
"The traitor's mental state isn't exactly stable if you haven't noticed. At least one of theirs isn't." Bakugou started, "The note itself says a lot and then there was the fucking toe. They cut off their own toe. We know it was the traitor's since it disappeared like Deku's dad... Shitty old man, tch... Also when I was looking around for the fingerprint scans on the knife, there were three files out of which one was a picture and can you guess what it's a picture of?"
"Is it... Related to the toe?"
Without answering, the ash blonde took out his cellphone and showed the picture he took to the both of them.
Secured in the screen of the computer, it was clear. A dark place and two hands reaching out. One hand held the person's own toe in place while the other held an already bloody knife. It was too dark to make out the minor details but one could by the way that both of this person's hands were busy and how the camera was angled above their head, there was a second person standing right behind the first one. The second person took the picture while the first severed their own appendage.
"Talk about unmanly,"
"That did not, in fact, sparkle."
"Look at the bottom left corner, losers. These idiots are onto a whole new level of bullshit with this picture." Bakugou scoffed, holding out his phone closer to the other two boys.
The bottom left corner of the picture held a date and time, the date and time it was taken on. It was taken the exact same day as the night of the blackout. The time, however, was a good two hours and forty five minutes past midnight. Long after all of the students have called it a day and retired to their beds.
"What I'm getting from this is," the redhead claimed, "This second person, or the second traitor is taking advantage of the first one who apparently did not have any of his own willpower in any of this. That... This person is being used! Now I wanna punch that second traitor, what an unmanly asshole." He pouted.
"Calme-toi. We have to find him before that. Let's evaluate our next step."
After a brief moment, Bakugou said, "Both of you, interrogate that Shishida guy when they come back. I'll be taking care of this fucker myself."
~O~
The exercise was called of at its usual time. The interrogation session with Class B was supposed to be an evening event. Which Bakugou thought was a bit abstract given how the exercise was held regularly with the same pattern. According to his information, Class-1-B did not have any evening events which meant that the teachers were either rushing due to the sudden acknowledgement of a second traitor or Nezu was setting up a trap. Speaking of the rat, look at who the ash blonde just ran into, "Aha! Good afternoon, Bakugou. I was just looking for you! A word please if you don't mind?"
"What is it, you damn rat." Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Bakugou scoffed.
"Oh nothing important, nothing important. Just do me a favor and accompany me to my office, will you?" Nezu chirped. "And oh my, we really need to work on those greetings of yours."
"Whatever," Rolling his eyes, the ash blonde just followed the principal to his office without putting up any fight.
Once they arrived at their destination, the principal let the ash blonde into his office before closing — and locking it, if Bakugou wasn't being too observant. He asked the boy to take a seat while he himself climbed into his seat behind the desk. For the first few minutes, no one said anything. Bakugou waiting for Nezu to speak up while Nezu simply observed him. Before the ash blonde could ask him what the fuck did he call him here, Nezu broke the silence.
"Say, Bakugou," Nezu began,
"Do you want to know what really happened in Midoriya's room?"

Before you guys say anything, the actual text in the note under all that zalgo was a lie :)
