It had only been three days since the exercise had started and Bakugou already found himself pulling stuff like this for these extras. Why couldn't they just have one normal training exercise without villain movement being involved? He would never know.
If Jirou instructed him correctly, they were supposed to run the tests in the support lab. She used her quirk to determine the room before they all headed to class in separate groups of three or four. It would be too obvious that something was wrong if the infamous problem children all came to class at the same time together as one big group. Aizawa would be sure catch up on that if not anyone else. Thus, they went in groups.
It surprisingly wasn't difficult to get to the support lab while avoiding the cameras so Nezu wouldn't get a clue because if he caught even a glimpse of them doing something remotely close with Midoriya's case, their cover was as good as blown. The door was unlocked and the ash blonde quickly and swiftly made his way in.
Once inside the room, Bakugou realized no wonder why the traitor had kept their identity hidden for so long without being caught in a school filled to the brim with heroic figures. The room was left unsupervised and Bakugou wished to yell at his teachers for their hopeless carelessness. If they left the documents right here with no one to watch over them, the traitor wouldn't waste a second replacing it all with false information or removing every possible evidence against them. What the hell were they planning to do once that happened, huh?
"Idiots," The ash blonde grunted as he walked in further. He searched the centre table for any files containing the results but only managed to find a flash drive. Fair enough, maybe the heroes still had some braincells left. Hopefully, they had backup files too in case the traitor did mess up everything. Walking over to one of the many computers in the room, Bakugou turned it on and plugged in the flash drive.
The popup appeared just like the usual and the ash blonde was quick to access the information inside. He found three files labeled TEST_001, TRAITOR.exe and 4444.jpeg respectively. Not surprised by the lack of passwords, Bakugou clicked the first file labeled TEST_001. The screen quickly shifted to display a report; a black background and grey monospace font greeted his eyes as he started going through every bit and piece of information on the screen.
The first thing he confirmed was the fact that this was indeed the report of the fingerprint scan on his knife, in fact, it had everything about the incident. They even had it written there that the knife belonged to him. Great... Anyhow, it said every speck of blood on the knife belonged to Midoriya. Oh wow, who could have known? The green haired boy sustained six stabs and was currently unconscious due to blood loss. Fuck... The closest fingerprints to the one's on the knife belonged to seat number nine in Class-1-B; Jurota Shishida. What the fuck?
Jurota Shishida, not like Bakugou knew who that was but he was certain there was something wrong here. Closest? What did they mean by closest? Could they not find the actual person and went with the closest? They couldn't single someone out on that base. That was just plain stupid! There was definitely something else missing here. Considering how there we're possibly two traitors, there was definitely something they weren't seeing.
The poor work on the scan, no proper monitoring of the files... Could it be the traitor was one of the staff all along? Someone who was given all these responsibilities and actively performed them with such carelessness so they could blame UA as a whole when they did something big? Could a teacher be the second traitor? A teacher and a student; two traitors?
No, of course not, it was too early to come to any conclusions. Bakugou never chose to speed things up and mess up his entire job. He wouldn't do it now either. There were two other files he had to see after all. Closing the report, the ruby eyed boy went for the second file labeled TRAITOR.exe. The file opened without any trouble in the way that for some reason Bakugou had anticipated it would. At first, he thought maybe the file would crash the moment he opened it or something because why in the world would they make a file labeled traitor of all things when they couldn't even get a fingerprint scan right?
Something was odd.
And it was confirmed when the new screen led him inside the file.
There was nothing but a code,

Bakugou was not good with codes, he had never even touched codes because he wasn't a nerd. Okay, maybe he knew Morse code but that did not make him a nerd. He was not a nerd, Midoriya was.
Back to the main topic, Bakugou was not good with codes. Now who in their class was good with codes? Probably Yaoyorozu could decode it. The other extras would just short circuit upon seeing this. Aside from Yaoyorozu, Midoriya could also probably decode it given how he was a nerd. Yup, Bakugou wasn't a nerd. He wouldn't decode it.
Nevermind, the ash blonde did not trust anyone to decode it correctly given how there were still two traitors in their own class. He would most likely look it up online. He wasn't decoding it on his own because he was not a nerd and he did not know codes. If he took a picture of the code and decoded it within ten minutes on a notebook alone in his room afterwards, then nobody knew.
...
Goddammit, he was a nerd.
Bakugou checked the time and realized it was only three minutes before the homeroom started and he had to wrap it all up in that short amount of time so he quickly closed the screen and went for the third and the last file. It was picture, that much was clear from its extension so Bakugou took a picture of it too with his cellphone, unplugged the flash drive, placed it on its previous location and powered off the computer before leaving the room.
He did see the cameras watching him in the room but cared little given how two eavesdroppers reported all of them being manipulated by the traitor actively.

"Are you out of your mind!? He just woke up and you already want to lay all this on him? For goodness' sake, he doesn't even know what's happening around him yet!" Of course that went in one ear and out the other for Nezu.
The principal was standing in the hallway next to a frantic All Might. The homeroom had just begun so all the other teachers and students were busy with their work. It hadn't been more than ten minutes after Nezu heard that the green haired boy just woke up all dazed and confused. Consequently, the first thing Nezu hoped to do was get a name out of him before things got even more out of hand than they already were. Of course, both Recovery Girl and All Might were against questioning the boy who was not even in his senses yet.
Aside from his shaken state of mind and body, to them Midoriya could take time to properly remember who attacked him or give out false information under pressure. Although, to Nezu who had a quirk that literally made him a genius, even the smallest of hints were enough to figure out the identity of the attacker.
"But wouldn't it be for the best? For all we know by the time he's recovered properly, the traitor has already escaped or went and harmed another student. What if the traitor silences Midoriya before he recovers? What would you do then, All Might?" Nezu added as he saw All Might deflate at his statements, "I know you're worried and I'm not trying to act heartless or impatient. I just want to do what would be the best course of action in our current situation."
Although denial was written all over the retired hero's face, he still sighed and stepped down, "Fine... But only one question and then he rests."
"As you wish," Just one question would be enough for the principal anyways.
With that, Nezu stepped inside the infirmary. The familiar smell of chloroform greeted him as a tickle in his nose as he noticed that the lights of the infirmary were off, probably so the green head lying in a hospital bed a few meters away could rest properly. The light of the sun filtering through the curtains on the opposite wall however did provide enough light for Nezu to know his way around.
The green haired boy lying in the bed had his entire torso as well a shoulder wrapped in bandages under the hospital gown. An IV was connected to his right wrist providing his system with medications. Nezu could tell there was another IV before this one by the bandaged back of the scarred palm, for blood transfusion perhaps. The boy was awake, his eyes half lidded and green irises looked as if a cloudy haze had settled inside them. He did look tired but if Nezu was keeping the correct record of his pain tolerance and lack of self preservation skills then he'd be up and running in about fifteen to twenty minutes.
No wonder Recovery Girl and All Might wanted him to rest before he got all antsy again.
Nezu walked up next to his bedside and began with a small greeting smile, "Good morning, Midoriya... I would ask how you're feeling but I'm afraid, I'm limited to one question only. So, let's fulfil all the formalities later and stick to the main topic for now. Sounds good?"
The boy weakly nodded, not making a sound just yet but looking at the principal with all of what little attention he had.
"Well then," Nezu asked, "Who attacked you?"
"H-uh?" A small scratchy voice erupted from the boys lips as a confused look appeared on his previously dull features. Nezu took that as a signal to explain the past happenings.
"You were attacked yesterday in your dorm room. Recovery Girl treated your wounds but alas, you remained unconscious for almost sixteen hours due to major blood loss. You scared a lot of people, you know?" Nezu chuckled halfheartedly, "Although, that's all a story someone other than me can tell you better. For now I want to know, who attacked you? Do you remember seeing them, Midoriya?"
"I..." The green haired boy drew in his eyebrows as he searched his foggy mind for an answer, "I-I don't remember their face... Or who they were..."
"That's fine. That's fine. Do you remember anything about them? Any little detail?" Nezu asked. He only wanted one thing, any thing he could get on the traitor.
It took a bit more thinking and a few moments to collect his words before Midoriya replied, "I... Um... Their— I remember their eyes... I saw their eyes..."
"Oh, you did? What were they like?" That was somewhat good information. If not the whole identity, Nezu could still get a lot from their eyes.
"I don't— don't remember the color... I-I didn't know what it was in the heat of the moment... B-But I saw their eyes..." Midoriya stated while he attempted to sit up, groaning once he was done as the thin white sheets covering him fell down in his lap. Nezu, on the other hand, did not pay much heed to the boy's attempt despite being severely injured. He knew there was no one who could actually stop Midoriya from doing something, especially when he was hurt.
The principal wasn't surprised by the fact that Midoriya did not remember the eye color and his brain refused to recognize what it was when he was attacked. But this was Midoriya and Nezu knew all well how analytical and observant he was. If he missed the eye color, he surely captured something else. Something else hidden in the traitor's eyes. Just like the saying goes, the eyes are a mirror to the soul.
The green haired boy looked at him with the same forlorn and distant expression as he said,
"T-They looked so scared..."
