Chapter 6 and Epilogue

Yami led me to another side of town, holding my hand tight. I wanted to ask where we were going but I chose to keep silent. It wouldn't be the best time to ask anyway. He was pretty silent too and I was surprised. I thought he'd start a conversation but he didn't. We kept walking until we reached a small building. There was a huge sign that read "Kame Game Shop". I didn't pay attention to the details because Yami led me inside quickly. A little bell rang as we entered and I saw a ton of games around the room. Duel Monsters were definitely on the shelves but I gazed at at games I've never heard of. But why did he lead me to a little game shop? As I pondered, Yami let go of my hand and said,

"Wait here, okay?" I nodded and he went up some stairs that were behind the shop.

"Does he live here?" I thought. That could be the case but I still didn't understand why he led me all the way here. I tried to think of a good possibility but I didn't have any luck. I sighed and decided to look at all the Duel Monsters packs on the shelf. I went over and giggled to myself, seeing so many packs. It made me want to buy one. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard footsteps rumbling down the stairs. I turned to see Yami but was greeted by someone else...wait, isn't that Yami? It couldn't be!! He looks a little different. My eyes widened as I looked at what seems to be a look-alike. Yami rushed down the stairs and stood by the look-alike, chuckling at my reaction.

"(Y/n), this is Yugi," Yami explained. "He's practically my twin but shorter."

"Hey!!" Yugi cried, punching Yami's shoulder. "At least Tèa likes my height!"

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that."

"Tèa?" I repeated, before Yugi took out his anger. He and Yami looked at me, a little surprised.

"Oh, that's his girlfriend!" Yami smiled.

"You didn't tell her?" Yugi said in disbelief.

"I completely forgot..."

"Wow, you're a greeaaat friend!" Yami only chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his head. It suddenly clicked in my mind: it was Yugi on the train that day, not Yami! My heart started to lift from its sunken state and back to the surface. The two started to fight a little and I began to laugh. When I began to laugh, the painful tears of the past ran down my cheeks.

"I'm such an idiot," I mumbled quietly. Yami and Yugi noticed my laughing with tears on my face and stopped their fight. I wiped my tears and looked at them. But it seems that Yami was the only standing there. I looked around to see where Yugi went but I felt a sudden warmth on my body. My eyes refocused to my current situation and found Yami hugging me. My eyes widened more and I hugged back tightly.

"What's wrong?" he asked gently, rubbing my back.

"I........u-um......I-I..."

"Don't be afraid to tell me." He sounded so gentle and kind that I blushed red and stuttered,

"I-I r-really l-like y-you..." After my confession, it was silent for a minute or two. I got concerned, wondering if I said the right words of if he'll accept the confession. "Did I say something wrong?!" I thought, freaking out in my head. That was when I felt his warm hand hold my right cheek, making me stare at his face. I blushed darker to a deep crimson and tried to look away but his other hand grabbed my left cheek. My heart pounded fast and I looked at him. He was grinning and his eyes were warm and happy. I guessed that he liked me back but the closeness was a little uncomfortable. I chuckled nervously until his lips crashed into mine. My blush darkened more, if that was even possible, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He still cupped my face as he pulled away. I giggled happily and said, "So you do like me?"

"No."

"Eh?!!" He chuckled and whispered in my ear,

"I love you (Y/n)." I grinned and kissed him fast. He grunted a little, probably not seeing it coming, but kissed back passionately. We kissed for a little while until we had to breath for air. Yami laughed but then let out a cough.

"Uh-oh," I said.

"What?"

"I may have gotten you sick..."

"What?!" I bursted out laughing, keeping him close to me.

••••••••••••••Epilogue••••••••••••••••••••

Well, it turns out I did get him sick and he kind of wondered when I got sick. I then explained everything that happened in the last few weeks and felt bad for me. He was also wondering how I got him and Yugi mixed up so that made sense. After that day, we'd go to each other's houses and play a lot of games together, especially Duel Monsters. I could never beat him!!! Besides that, I was well enough to compete in kendo tournaments and he'd always attend. He and I couldn't be any happier and I'm glad I met him on the train. It's my little train love....
