Today was the day of Kira and Quaid's wedding. Kira carefully unwrapped his suit, and asked Geysis to come to his room tonight to help him get ready.

Quaid then came to the balcony to make sure everything was intact after he asked Skye for permission to use her  balcony, as it was the one that oversaw the front gate, where everyone was to be seated.

Everybody was doing their last minute shopping for the wedding, and Drake put his swords away. "Host, there are no more threats in our way. We can now live in peace."

Demon's voice came from the mirror. "Demon, luckily, nobody tried to kill us. How will we manage to keep this facade hidden from the Imperial Capital?"

Drake closed his eyes. Neither soul knew how fast the news would spread. "I've only lived in your body for a month now, and your body change is completely visible, Host."

Drake opened his eyes. "We should go get ready for the wedding."

The two souls walked out of the room, before being escorted by Aster to go shopping. They walked around the town, buying an eyepatch and some dress shoes.

Night began to try on some suits provided by the maids, and then saw Suul, Khaston, and Ren walking towards the castle. Kas, Lex, and Yun were all flying by Kas, who was wearing white gloves, and saw the three of them land.

After getting the things they were buying, Drake and Aster returned to the castle.

Yui and Iru picked up everybody's suits and dresses, and delivered them to Rala, Aki, and Reito. Today was the last day of the year, and everybody was ready for the final night of the year, six days after the war reached its end.

Aki changed his bandages, and then sat on a bench. Lutum and Anzu walked towards him, and sat down. "It's that time again. Time to marry the two."

The day kept going, and during the afternoon, food was being prepared.

Kira brought some food from a restaurant while he was waiting for the night to come. He ate some food, and was soon asked by Night to come help him pick out a suit.

After paying for the food, he went to Night's room with him. The two spent an hour picking out a suit and shoes. "I'm going to Arius's room. I'm going to look through his gloves."

Before Night left, Kira stopped him. "He's smaller than you. His gloves won't fit you."

Tora knocked on the door. "Kira, do you have any plans for after the wedding?"

No answer. "Night, I'm sure you have your own gloves. I'm sure you can get something good for tonight."

The hours passed, and everyone was ready to go into the night to see the wedding.

In the distance, people could hear Forde with their wedding music.

Lex began to look around the area, and after seeing everybody coming, he told the idols to start playing romantic songs.

Geysis and Kira were getting Kira's suit on, and soon Geysis took off his coat, not needing to change. He only changed his tie, and then walked with Kira to the wedding.

Soon, the wedding started. Khaston was playing a violin, which he was very skilled at.

Many people were sitting at the gates, and soon, Quaid was waiting on Skye's balcony. He soon saw everybody file to the seats, and saw Kira climbing a makeshift set of stairs, which happened to be Leo.

Lutum flew to the balcony, and Leo sat back down after returning to his human form.

"Attention, please."

Khaston slowly dimmed his violin. With great concentration, the dim music brought a romantic ambiance in the town late at night.

"Time has gathered us once again, for a second wedding. The war has finally reached its end, and hopefully, for good this time. We have gathered tonight for a moonlight wedding with Kira and Quaid, two who have been loving dearly for a long time."

A first wave of applause.

"Now, to the wedding. May the rings be presented?"

Anae presented two diamond rings. She slid them onto Kira and Quaid's ring fingers, and held their hands.

Leaves fell, circling the two, courtesy of Limilnate.

"Kira, you may now say your vows."

Kira took a deep breath.

"I've only known you for a few years. You begged me to help you become stronger. I couldn't refuse, since you were incredibly persistent. What was a relationship between a trainer and a student turned into our love. I wish to spend the rest of my days by your side, as husbands."

Kira's wings flapped lightly.

"It's my turn, Kira?"

Kira nodded.

"It was my dream to be appointed as one of the Guardians of Meirith. When I saw the letter,  I was elated. Little did I know, Master Karna Masta and his brother were holding people captive against their will. I, along with Ivris and Fadahl, were able to free all six of you. I'm very grateful for the training you gave me, and how much we can do together..."

Quaid hugged Kira.

"...and I don't want it to stop."

Tears rolled down Quaid's eyes, and made Diana also cry.

Lutum took out two bouquets and then spoke.

"Kira, Quaid, do you take each other to be your husband, for as long as you two may live?"

Kira and Quaid looked at one another, and blushed. "I do," was what came out of both mouths.

Before midnight, Kira told the two they can kiss. Kira flew close to the moon with Quaid (not in outer space), and the two shared a moonlight kiss.

Upon landing, everybody walked into the castle for reception.

Fadahl and Quaid walked to the bathroom.

"I really couldn't withstand the nervousness I had during the vows. I haven't been to a wedding at all, Fadahl. I'm glad everyone could make this a wonderful first experience for me."

Quaid walked into the bathroom.

During reception, everybody began to feast on food brought out by the chefs. Khaston took out his microphone, and the idols started the music.

Khaston drunk some water, and soon, music started once more, and he took out his violin.

Kas took a deep breath, and then closed his eyes.

"Kira, Quaid, please arrive at the center, we would like to start with your solo dance."

The dance floor cleared, and Kira soon arrived, with Quaid following.

Kas played a short solo with Khaston on violin, Khaston put away his violin, and Lex started the music.

Kira and Quaid were in a dip, with Kira on top.

Kira lifted up Quaid, and kissed him.

Forde began to play some more music, and after a few minutes, left to get some food and drinks.

Aki brought Drake a plate of food. "Demon, I'm sure you're hungry. Eat up."

Demon ate the food Aki brought him.

"Thanks, Aki."

Demon saw all the single ladies gathering a distance away from Kira. After a while, Kira threw a bouquet, and Selena caught it. Shortly, the men lined up, and it landed in Night's hands.

Geysis walked over to Night, who was remembering everybody's deaths. Sonis, Fross, Ezra, Light, everyone really. "At least nobody died in vain. Let's enjoy this wedding, Night," Geysis assures, knowing the final battle is lone gone.

Hours passed, and everybody began to walk out to see the finale of the fireworks from Randall.

The next week passed, and Haru and Aster knocked on Kira and Quaid's door. Both couples locked eyes upon the door opening.

"Hello, newlyweds. We've come to ask you if you wanted to have a double honeymoon at the resort."

Kira and Quaid saw that Haru and Aster were already packed up. "Sure. Let us get ready."

Quaid took out some bags, and clothes. He brought their weapons as well, in case of any unprepared battles. "Haru, the queen knows about this, right?"

Silence.

"Yes, she does. I asked her if she wanted to accompany, but she declined. I don't think she's prepared to take a break from royal duties, ever since Light died," answered Haru.

After making sure they had everything, the four left for the resort, transportation by horse.

Aki laid down, and saw everybody leave. He couldn't help but renaissance about the past, and remembered everything from one thousand years ago.

A tear rolled down Aki's eye once he remembered everything.
