Agmel and Soroth, two lovers and assassins, had gotten a letter from Orwen, the current emperor of the time. "Leo, please pray that your sister comes home. We have to go with the Chronicler to purify the world. Please, stay with the emperor until you hear anything about your sister."

A young Leo didn't know what his parents were talking about, and went to sleep.

Agmel and Soroth then got a newspaper regarding the Ninja's Guild. They read it, and were shocked. "How are we going to tell Leo that his sister was killed?"

Leo walked out of his room, and overheard the two talking. "What's on the newspaper, Ma?"

Soroth hid the paper. "Leo, your sister and her entire clan was killed in an attack by an ogre. I hope you aren't too grief stricken about it."

Leo fell to the ground, and fainted.

Agmel brought Leo to his room. "Should we go now, or say goodbye to Leo?"

Soroth suggested going now. "We don't have time for goodbyes, Agmel. And besides, Leo's foo stricken with grief about his sister's sudden death."

Agmel and Soroth decided to leave a note for Leo. The two of them grabbed their weapons, and then left the house without a trace.

The two of them walked towards the castle, and then asked for an audience with the Chronicler.

"Hey, Cuphea. We are ready."

Cuphea, a Dryad, grabbed her things, and then she looked for her weapon, her kamas, and then walked out, waiting for Agmel and Soroth.

Cuphea grabbed the Chronicle. "Aki, you can come out now."

An almost seven foot tall man came out of the Chronicle. He had white hair, white angel wings, and bandages on his left eye. "Greetings, Chronicler. I see the two Guardians arrived now. I am Aki. I live inside the Chronicle, and I prefer not to talk about my eye. All you need to know is that I was a lab rat for an experiment before I was appointed to the Chronicle," Aki stated, not wanting to go into detail.

The four of them left, with Aki going back into the Chronicle. "Cuphea, if you die in battle, just know that I cannot heal you if you've been burned. You're very weak to fire."

Cuphea nodded, and then they all left.

"Now, it's time to rewrite the history and change the futures of many."
